Many years ago, in the army at Fort Hood, Texas, I was an artilleryman, but because I graduated from high school and had a good GT score, the commander made me an acting sergeant and supply sergeant. As happens, I somehow lost our field latrine. It was just a box with a hole in the top. We would dig a hole and set the box on top of the hole. Of course, we had a canvas screen to go around the latrine. Well, I built a new better latrine. A double seater (I was young a dumb and it seemed like a good idea), with real toilet seats. I painted it camouflage colors and added handles on the ends for moving. The problem was my first sergeant was short and his feet didn't touch the ground. So …

Black Vulture! A popular in south. I’m posting all the wildlife I shot down in the States (if they look good!) so expect more “common” birds in my feed! Large raptor. Uniform black with silvery patches on undersides of wingtips. In flight, broad, rounded wings with distinct "fingers" are held flat like a board. Notice very short tail and small black head. Soars in flocks, often with other vultures and hawks. Flight style is distinctive; bat-like, strong snappy wingbeats followed by short glides. Look for them along highways eating roadkill, or picking through dumpsters. This is honestly one of my fav morston fanfics atm. It has everything I want lol..John secretly whoring himself out..his uneasy relationship with Arthur.. pining and most important of all, he is blind in one eye! It's ongoing (it's super rare for me to read ongoing fics) and I'm really excited about the story. Also i love the title. Often find myself reciting it lol

Arthur Morgan. I think my most unpopular opinion is less about him and more about the interpretations of him. All those posts of him being the gang’s older brother, a victim of Dutch and Hosea’s ‘grooming’ and a good man who takes no pleasure in the life he leads, those are mostly nonsense in my opinion. I think folks really want him to be all these things but he’s just not. I could elaborate but I don’t think anyone cares about it tbh 😩

Since I almost couldn’t figure out whether to use John or Arthur for this question here’s them both. John Marston. My most unpopular opinion surrounding him, is that I understand his unwillingness to be a father and husband, and if I were him I’d be in the same boat. All in all, I don’t think him turning Abigail and Jack away was all that despicable at all, I actually think him warming up to them felt very abrupt. Not that it shouldn’t happen, but that it should’ve happened in a different way.

Has to be those paragraphs that begin as borderline nonsensical ramblings consisting of “screaming!” “How could you do this 😫!” “WHYY?!” those are pretty sweet to get :,)—tied with more eloquent comments of folks saying my writing made them cry. My favourite things to hear are that my writing made them sit down and wipe away tears after they put the fic down. It tells me it’s really impactful.
