There’s so much foreshadowing in the last few clips that I feel I'm getting major spoilers

I mean, this is obviously going to be a Lance-centric season and the clone theory confirmed

Lance is getting his character arc because that’s what he deserves. Has matured in the last few seasons? Sure, but we are about to see some major changes (just like with his bayard y’all)

I’m not saying BlackPaladin!Lance but.. BlackPaladin!Lance. I didn’t really want this to happen, because personally I don’t think Lance becoming the leader would change the way he sees himself. He needs to realize his own worth, and that he already brings something to the team and for the team to acknowledge this. Lance needs reassurance. Leading the team is not going to give him that. Both. Both is good

Not-Shiro piloting the Black Lion was definitely to gets us off the tracks of the clone theory. But the are not even hintinting at it anymore, the setting of the first clip? Where clone!Shiro appeared in season 3. The reprogrammed galra sentry? The notion of switching sides against their will. Allura saying that Shiro had been acting weird.

It’s just... so heavily implied. The only thing against it would be being able to pilot the Black Lion. But, with BlackPaladin!Lance

I think it would be cool if Keith were to try and it didn't work because he was too reckless. Allura is a lot like Keith (see the escape pod incident) and, when she she tries, it doesn't work either. At that point Lance is like, "Give me a shot." And everyone is like, "Uh, maybe not." Which is a huge blow to his self-esteem. Hunk tries. Nope. Coran tries. Nope. Pidge: "It's not gonna work." *tries to get in the black lion* *black lion's mouth snaps shut* I COULD HAVE DIED An emergency happens and they need Voltron. Lance runs up to blue but blue closes herself off, telling him he's needed elsewhere. The other paladins and lions are deploying. Allura: What are you doing Lance? They need you! Lance: Coran! Allura has the ship. You've got Blue. And he hops into the black lion. He's not as well suited for it as Shiro, but he makes it work. (This could be over multiple episodes) BAM CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT FOR LANCE AND MY BABY GETS SOME OF THE VALIDATION HE DESERVES sorry, carry on
