Diversity Within Pre-approved Spaces.

While there's been a noticeable and markable increase in roles and projects for minorities, a part of it isn't a real move toward change.

There was a point in time where we would've simply been okay with the chance to prove that we could sell as well as the usual Hollywood fare. Now that we've had the chance and proven that our stories, our visibility is as profitable as what we've had. We should no longer be content or accepting of our existence being contained to what I call pre-approved spaces. This just means that we should stop accepting the roles we'd been assigned to before and regard recycled roles for the red herring that they truly are.

Minorities have been delegated to minor roles and in major roles only in a sidekick capacity in a way that doesn't really allow them great roles but provides enough visibility and diversity that no one can really be upset or offended by it.

Roles such as Idris Elba becoming the next James Bond are only superficial and aren't really meant to advance the cause. If he were to accept the offer and fail in his role or if the movie failed to draw in an audience or meet the goals set for it, it would be seen not only as an effort that failed but also a form a proof that diversity and representation aren't important and that they don't yield positive results. It could potentially be a way to limit or stifle the growth and reach of diversity and representation.

If he were to succeed, the studio would benefit because they'd have at least two more films they could expect reasonable success from and they'd have done it by making only a minor concession rather than real change.

Projects like this shut out new projects written by minorities, specifically for minorities because they're more likely to be greenlit. They also serve to continue the history of forcing minorities into white and male dominated spaces rather than providing them with their own space and platforms to grow.

There are, of course, projects like this that have been successful. The Ghostbusters reboot had an all female cast and was successful despite the fact that they had big and iconic boots to fill. This is a test set by Hollywood that they hadn't expected the project to pass. The odds of another project like this having the same success are slim chance solely because Franchises like this have such history and such huge fanbases that changing the formula in any way is risky.

Why should we settle for old roles in need of a facelift rather than new ones that have potential. Why settle for a second hand car when we can get a new one if we push just a little? These roles aren't acceptance or growth, they're just a form of tolerance.

Gamers today are ridiculously entitled They expect the moon [metaphorically speaking] from Nintendo and when Nintendo makes something special, they get shat on because it's not what they want plus most of the hateful arguments against the Nintendo Switch is mostly double standard when you put into account that Sony and Microsoft does the same shit and i'm not alone on this front...

When people like Levelhead Gamer, Mizzah Tee and Red Knight (ActiveGamerLife) to name a few are more logical people on the Switch than people who jump to conclusions like say Razorfist, Jim Sterling, Haedox, Blackbond, ETC News to name a few then we need to question gamers as a whole Instead of joining the cancerous "Fuck Nintendo"/"Fuck Nintendo Switch" bandwagon, I highly suggest thinking for yourself and have an open mind From what i've seen, the Nintendo Switch has promise Yes, There are some concerns but Nintendo rest assured us that they will detail more about the console as well as the "controversial" pay-to-pay service in due time - so people PLEASE have patience 

and yes, There are games worth getting at launch

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Super Bomberman R (Yes, it's worth the $50 - i'll explain after this)

The Binding of Issac: Aftermath+

1-2 Switch (while i do agree, this should've been a pack-in game - it's worth it probably just as a download for parties)

Now for my reasons as to why Super Bomberman R is worth the $50 price tag

for $50, you're getting

No Microtransactions

50-level Story Mode (with Multiplayer)

8-Player Multiplayer Battles (online and local)

It's a better value than say Call of Duty, FIFA and Madden as you're not only paying $60 but also god knows how many bucks from your wallet for microtransactions for stuff like camo, additional guns and also cards for over-glorified fantasy football team (FIFA and NFL) [referring to the "Ultimate Team" feature]

While i slightly agree on the pricing issue but it's justified somewhat because of the technology within for example the $70 Pro controller has the HD Rumble, amiibo scanning and a Gyro sensor the $80 Joy Con sets has the IR camera, HD Rumble and amiibo scanning the only beef i could agree on is the price for the dock but rest assured, all you need is 1 dock but mostly a 128 or 256gig microSD XC card, the AC adapter (plus car adaptor), the games and the console itself (mostly in either handheld or tabletop mode) Battery Life would be the least of your problems if you have the AC Adaptor (which is a USB Type-C) and a Car Adaptor at hand One thing i'm annoyed though is gamers griping about "power", Why are gamers today fetishizing that every console needs to be as powerful as a bloody PC? Do they even care about having fun anymore? I swear it's "gamers" like them is why IPs like Mr. Driller, Klonoa and others are fading away Games are coming so again, have patience as we're getting plenty for the Switch this year like [and not limited to]: ARMS, Splatoon 2, Puyopuyo Tetris, Constructor HD, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe [The definitive version of MK8], Sonic Mania, Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers, RIME, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Minecraft Story Mode: The Complete Adventure and many more as for Sports, so far 2 are confirmed.. FIFA (EA is making a FIFA game exclusively for the Switch) and NBA 2K18 Oh yes, there's one thing worth noting about the Switch, It's region free So, If you want to play Puyopuyo Tetris at launch and can't wait for Spring 2017, You can easily import it and play it on the switch without any complex hoops to leap (referring to the soft mod hacks relating to Cubic Ninja 3D and Freakyforms Deluxe) and the region free aspect is good as Dragon Quest 10 and 11 for now is Japan exclusive, If you want to play them - import them from Play-Asia
