If you haven't noticed, the titles of my posts normally have nothing to do with what I want to write about. No surprise there. But hey y'all, and when I say y'all, I mean the person who will accidentally come across this post and feel bored enough to read it. Well, thank you for reading this random blog post. I'm sending you well wishes for your wedding day. Anyways, I haven't written in a while. I feel like I write more when I'm unmediated. It's like the only place where I can be completely unhinged without feeling like people are judging me and making me feel some type of way about my unhinged ways. But this is Tumblr. I feel safe here. I feel at home here. Anyways, I've been doing something, and not good things, y'all. I'm not going to go into too much detail, but I haven't been a good girl. I went back to my whore ways, just for like a weekend. It was fun. I met some guys. I thought I met the man I was going to let marry me, but that didn't work out. He cut me off. Apparently, I was giving him too much of an attitude. Whatever that means. You know the vibe. You know who's back. Not really. He asked me to fly to London to fuck. I was in my whore bag. I wasn't about to give that up for a man to hide me in a hotel room for a weekend. Boy, if you don't get the fuck outta my face.Then he wouldn't even buy me a new Louis Vuitton bag.

H a i r

So much has been going on with me, and I don’t really want to get into that, but I do want to talk about hair. I know—it’s such a weird topic to bring up, but then again, this is my Tumblr. I can write about whatever I feel like, and today, it’s hair.

This is the second draft of this, and while writing the first one, I unlocked so many memories about my hair. Lately, I’ve been seeing more and more videos of Black girls and women talking about their hair, and the comments have been bothering me.

It’s so exhausting being a Black woman sometimes. What’s the deal with the obsession with our hair? Even within our own community, the amount of pressure we put on each other about hair is insane, especially on little Black girls.

I just want to scream from the top of a mountain: It’s just hair! It’s just hair! It will grow back.

It’s disheartening to see that nothing has really changed since I was a kid. People are still so obsessed with Black women’s hair, and it starts so young. I don’t know—I just needed to get that off my chest.
