Latest Oshi No Ko Chapter Review

The latest Oshi no ko chapter made more sense than the last few chapters, at least to me. Ai Hoshino also felt such emotions...but she bottled it all up. As some other readers pointed out, this was probably due to the environment in which she grew up; her mother for example wasn't the best.

there really is something so utterly tragic about ninoai in that the whole entire reason the fight even happens is that nino so entrenched in growing hate and envy and admiration for ai that she is begging ai to give her a human response, like how nino is screaming out all her feelings at her only to get deflected and inadvertently dismissed and then years later, years after ai's death and never receiving any closure, in 45510 when she reads ai's emotional attempt at reaching out to her group members nino completely and utterly rejects that very humanity from ai that she once desperately asked for with nothing but hatred and revulsion

Hi, i love all of your thoughts about akane, aquakane. Just wanna ask ur takes about kana and aquakana? Do you think that they have much more possibility to end up w/ each other? I think it's both, Kana was rude and insensitive and she was also blunt and straightforward. That's kind of how she is. Whether that works for you or not depends on your tastes, there's no right answer there. Personally, I did find the scene pretty funny despite feeling bad for Akane, but I can definitely see why you didn't.

Kana's goal has always been to be an actress, being an idol was just a detour because Aqua manipulated her into it (although if you ask him, he'll tell you he did nothing wrong because he genuinely thought she'd do great as an idol lol). Kana's rivalry with Akane was there before Aqua, he just made Akane more of a sore point for Kana because there she was wasting her time being an idol for him while Akane not only got to date him, she also got tons of roles and acting work.

This is how Kana actually sees Akane:

I'm pretty sure Kana would love nothing more than to be out there giving Akane the good fight acting-wise.

Ironically, she can do so now but I'm not sure if Akane's mind will be in the same wave-length :(

All in all, personally I really like Kana but I understand why you don't like her and that's fine! Different strokes for different folks, you don't need to force yourself to like her anon ^^

oshi no ko anime........ on one hand itll probably take ages to get to the idol arc so it wont even be an idol anime for a while 😩 but idk i still cant waitttt. trust me oshi no ko is soooo good (plus the artist, yokoyari mengo is a pretty series fan. slay)

decided to put this in a reblog because it got too long for replies lmao

according to viewpoint b, ai ages out of the childrens home at 15 so thats where she lived until her fifteenth birthday. my hc has always been that the saitous rented out an apartment for her that was close by after that since her relatives refused to take her in and they tended to pick her up from there to take her to the ichipro office with them or miyako drops bkomachi/ai to their respective work like she does with second generation (we dont actually know how long the saitous have had the agency and apartment in the same building, so they probably lived separately up from the office until a few weeks before ai's 20th birthday where they got a larger building due to increase in jobs). anyway thats just a year before shes pregnant enough she goes on hiatus and shes mostly alone at hospital with ichigo sporadically showing up (as shown).

and after she gives birth, the saitous just probably show up to pick her up and drop her off at her classes/interviews again just like before, but miyako stays over to take care of the twins instead of going to office (since miyako drives the car in present day) so ichigo takes up that job while miyako stays back to take care of aqua and ruby while the twins are still babies and unable to come onto set (there they used the excuse that she was taking care of her new kids), so ai and the twins were able to live together while the saitous lived separately

(about miyako working at ai's apartment, on slow days i bet she stayed over to help ai out with the twins esp in early days so she just brought her laptop to work there)

so until ai's 20th birthday, they got a new agency/apartment while ai got a new apartment and they mightve been too busy shifting so they probably said if anyone asked that ai babysitted for them during this but in actuality the twins just lived with her lol. and ai died just a week after the new apartment meaning that isnt enough time for people to guess the saitous were lying if they especially if they shifted offices around the same time

(how they wouldve kept up the lie even when they lived at the agency is anyones guess but at that point its not like it mattered did it?)

(but my guess is that they wouldve used the babysitting excuse esp since at that point in time, the twins...dont really look much like ai LMAO and maybe the twins just stayed over at the office while ai was at work since after dome her work wouldve exploded and theyd just stay in the apartment part of the building (i doubt anyones going to be breaking into the apartment part to check if the twins REALLY live with the saitous or not, especially not the regular employees)

Reviewing early chapters of Oshi no Ko for fanfic purposes makes me wonder what the domestic situation of Ai and the twins and the Saitous was.

On one hand, there are lots of scenes of Ai and the twins and Miyako/Ichigo/both Saitous. Domestic scenes where they chat casually with couches or a kitchenette or something in the background, scenes clearly taking place at someone's apartment. And it would kinda make sense for the five of them to live together, since the twins are supposed to be the Saitous' kids and Ai doesn't want to live away from them.

But at the same time, a young idol living with her male boss would be radioactive optics. At worst, it could spiral into a scandal that destroys Strawberry Productions and B-Komachi on its own.

At best, it would turn their shared apartment into a papararazzi magnet, which is bad enough without hiding an unrelated nuclear scandal at the same apartment, especially since the twins look enough like Ichigo for people to think they're his kids. And all of that gets so much worse when you remember that Ichigo already has a reputation...

And anyways, Ai gets an apartment that Ichigo calls "your new place," not "our new place". So she obviously lives apart from the Saitous, right?

But they're around a lot. Hardly any apartment scenes before Ai's death are Saitou-free. Sure, part of that is because Ai has more plot-significant conversations with her producer and involuntary babysitter than she does alone with her infant children. Even so, the text we have implies that the Ichigos visit a lot.

And while the optics of a producer living with an idol are radioactive, the optics of regularly visiting her at her personal residence are not much better, even if he brings his wife. And we know the twins live with Ai (since we see them sleeping with her), and that seems like it would fatally wound the narrative that the twins are Miyako's kids if anyone paid enough attention.

EDIT: Also Miyako is working on her laptop in one of the domestic scenes, and that seems like a weird thing to bring with you when you're just visiting an idol working for your husband. Especially when there are a couple small children in the house.

I want to come to a conclusion, but I can't. Every time I try to articulate an arrangement that might work, I think of one of the points against it.
