Katsuki stared unblinkingly at the letter clutched tightly in his hands for a moment longer as the words began to sink in. Deku was gone. The bastard had actually up and left, why the hell would he do that? He’d given a bunch of excuses in the letter Katsuki was currently smouldering in his grip but none of them made any sense. Protecting them? What a load of shit. Deku was the one being hunted, he needed the protection.

“Stop trying to win this on your own.” That’s what Katsuki had said to him but obviously, it had been ignored.

“Stupid fucking idiot, why can’t you ever fucking listen,” Katsuki mumbled. The letter was growing blurry and he furiously wiped at his eyes, throwing the paper to one side he watched it flutter pathetically to the ground and balled his hands into fists, trying to stop the trembling. The familiar tightly coiled ball of frustration was already springing to life in the pit of his stomach and he ground his teeth together, suppressing the urge to blow a hole through the wall of his room.

There were panicked voices in the hall, the sound of running footsteps past his door and he guessed that the others had been left similar letters. Deku must’ve been planning it with All Might for a while. “Fuck that,” Katsuki snarled. He didn’t give two shits what Deku wanted at this point, he was going after him and beating some sense into the nerd’s dense skull if he had to chase him around the damn country.

With something to finally direct his anger at Katsuki flung his rucksack onto the bed and quickly got to work grabbing what he’d need. He figured a week’s worth of clothes would be fine for now and he’d pick up food as he went. It was better not to be weighed down by-

“You’re going after him.”

Katsuki paused midway through shoving a mismatched selection of socks into the bag and audibly growled at the familiar voice, “If any of you try to stop me I really will fucking kill you.”

He heard Todoroki close the door behind him and finally turned around to stare at the intruder through narrowed eyes. There wasn’t anyone else with him. Todoroki met his gaze with a resolute expression, “I didn’t say anything about stopping you.” He said, and for the first time Katsuki noticed the bag draped over his shoulder.

Another rush of anger as Katsuki put two and two together, “Well, you’re not coming with me either so get that idea out of your head right now, bastard.”  The other teen took another step forward, “I know you’re angry-” “Don’t you dare try to counsel me,” Katsuki growled but Todoroki continued unperturbed. “I want to help him too, just as he helped me.” He fixed Katsuki with such an intense gaze he was slightly taken aback, “We can still reach him.”

Katsuki closed his eyes and bared his teeth at the words. He’d felt helpless, frustrated; the only plan he had was to run after Deku like they were kids again. Of course, it was his first time doing the chasing. Though he’d probably regret it within the next ten minutes he sighed, not prepared to fight over it. All he wanted was to pick up Deku’s trail as soon as he could.

“I’m leaving right now.” He said eventually, zipping up his bag and slinging it over his shoulder. “Whilst the other’s are distracted.” His voice was quieter, maybe a bit softer.

Todoroki blinked at him with a hint of an amused smile and Katsuki scowled again, slamming his shoulder against his as he stalked past him to the door.

“Wait, shouldn’t we say-”

“If you even suggest bringing anyone else along I’m leaving your ass right here you piece of shit.”

bkdk, endhawks, and izuocha!

BAKUDEKU

Alright, it wasn't the first ship I got into when I started BNHA, but it did make its way on the list over time. I didn't hate it, it just didn't stick right a way. I know there's antis for it and I get it if it's not your particular ship, but it sucks that antis just don't know to stay from those who do ship it instead of harassing them.

But I digress...

I do like how their dynamic is going throughout the series and maybe that's why I got into it. That and I was reading fics and such. For as long as I have liked this ship, but surprised I haven't written more of them. I currently have one completed fic for them.

I also like this ship platonically.

ENDHAWKS

Eh... it's just not a ship I particularly can write or read for. Their interactions got a giggle or two out of me during the end of season 4, but to ship them?

I guess not really my cup of tea. It may be because I favor DabiHawks more and this is one of the few times I can't like a ship because I like a character with someone else.

Endeavor is an interesting character, a crap dad for sure, but an interesting character. (I still laugh thinking how someone pointed out he looks kinda like Emboar and now I gotta go find that meme.) But shipping him with Hawks is just not my thing.

IZUOCHA

Omg, I love both characters so, so much. They're too adorable. I do like the idea of them romantically, I just hate how they're written in canon. It just seems... so out of place and a little forced sometimes. Personally, if they were written better, the ship would be too powerful. Individually, both Midoriya and Uraraka are adorable badasses. Together? DOUBLE TIME!

Still, I don't mind writing the ship or reading it. There are fics were Izuocha feels natural.

However, I like them as besties who used to have crushes on each other and laugh about later just a little better. Often in my fics, they're just that.

Really, the ship has potential, it's just wasted potential in canon.

Well for starters I would leave said friend alone, I know how hard that can be but it’s truly for the best.

I know first hand how hard having a toxic friend can be but you do neither of you any good by sticking by them.

Pulling away won’t mean you stop caring about them but it means you put your safety and happiness first, hanging out with sick people who aren’t trying to get better only leaves you getting sick too, gotta prioritize your well-being

And when you give into peoples bad behavior they’re never forced to see how unhealthy they’re being and will stay rutted in those behavior patterns

As for the shipping I wouldn’t worry too much about it or at all really, who people do and don’t ship doesn’t really say much about their personal character

While I do think our preferences and tastes do say something about who we are I also don’t think they define us, I don’t like tomatoes or the color chartreuse and that could tell you something about me but it wouldn’t give a full picture

So it’s not a good idea to define people based on who they do and don’t ship, don’t hate people who don’t ship your ship and even more importantly don’t automatically trust the people who do ship your ship

There’s gonna be bad people who like things we do like just as often as they like things we don’t.

Even the world’s worst monsters have liked good things like music and cats, I mean we have no real guarantee that Mike Pence doesn’t run a BkDk blog, I doubt it and he’s certainly not welcome in this space but he could still technically be here 👀

I mean I run this blog and think about bnha like 24 and most of my friends don’t even know, not because we don’t have solid open healthy relationships but because this is my thing and they’re not anime people and that’s fine

So stay away from toxic people because they’re harmful to your peace of mind and personal growth, not cause their taste in ships is the equivalent to having their favorite cereal be Raisin Bran(full of the most sugar but still all together kinda bland lol)

What's your favorite scene you ever wrote?

OKAY honestly I’m not a fan of my own writing but I gotta say my 5+1 bkdk fic I did for Secret Santa a few years ago is definitely one of my favs. I basically tried to stick them together in lots of awkward positions and stuff and it was very funny

Another one I thought was fun was an FMA fic where basically Edward and Winry are constantly trying to stop Alphonse from saying fuck, so he’s in these situations that would perfectly warrant a teenage boy’s use of the word fuck, but Ed and Winry, hypocritical bastards, won’t let him. Basically in the end he says it while complimenting Winry’s apple pie, and Ed and Winry have the most dramatic reaction to it, I thought it was over the top and fun, it was a really fun scene to write.

Quirk combo BKDK, Iidachako and Todomomo?

Momo & Todoroki - their kid can create objects which they can then spontaneously combust at will. their classmates proceed to spend the next 18 years joking that their kid is Momo’s secret lovechild with Bakugou. Bakugou finds this infuriating but has a soft spot for the kid regardless because splodey types gotta stick together. (this only reinforces the rumors.)

Ochako & Iida - quirk: anti-gravity engine. their kid’s engine legs have a sci-fi upgrade that allows them to hover everywhere.

Bakugou & Deku - their kid can breathe fire on top of being able to create explosions. their kid accidentally burns down Mineta’s house and becomes an instant legend. Mineta has fire insurance but his extensive porn collection is gone forever and after going through the five stages of grief he decides to turn over a new leaf and everyone lives happily ever after.

I’m not anti anything anon, so you never gotta worry about that! I have ships I like and ships I don’t and ships I’m indifferent about, but I’m a firm believer in the ship and let ship principle~ sadly bkdk is strictly platonic for me (I see them too much as sibs for it to work in a romantic way, at this point), but I do adore their relationship and the way Horikoshi is writing it TT^TT it’s def one of my favorite Bakugou relationships, such a wonderfully complex story 💕

I have in the past drawn them in AUs inspired by characters from other fandoms, if that’s what you’re asking! At the top of my head I can remember drawing them as Black⭐Star and Tsubaki from Soul Eater, Doumeki and Watanuki from xxxHolic and Jacuzzi and Nice from Baccano!, but I’m sure those are not the only ones... I’m never against that sort of AUs, if you have anything you’d like to see ask and I’ll see if I know the fandom you’re thinking about! :D

I don’t ship it, sorry :( as far as shipping Bakugou goes, I only ship him around if Kirishima is involved - I do have a few Baku ships I like just for the aesthetics (like with Jirou, or Todoroki!) but I wouldn’t really call it “shipping”, I just like to see them next to each other cause their designs work well together haha

I’ve never, actually :thinking: the vld fandom is very scary to me so I try to keep away from it, ngl! I’ve also not watched past the first season of the cartoon itself so by now I don’t think I have the necessary information to make AUs based on that fandom, but the concept of my kids in space or piloting mechas is a wonderful one nonetheless haha

Oh heck thank you so much for being interested in something like that! I’ve actually thought about something of the like, but if I ever did it would be a small zine with pieces made specifically for it! I’ve said this a couple of times before, but I’m really only interested in dabihawks if Dabi is Touya at this point! I might change my mind if Hori develops their relationship more, but right now that’s how it is... and until I have more concrete proofs of Touya and Dabi being the same person I don’t wanna get too involved with the ship, in case I end up disappointed haha
