Viral Video Falsely Claims Nitin Gadkari Did Not Stand and Applaud for PM Modi
On June 7, a parliamentary meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was held in New Dalhi. In this meeting, PM Narendra Modi was chosen to take the role of the alliance leader and the Prime Minister of the nation unanimously by the alliance members. The leaders in the venue stood and applauded PM Modi on several occasions in the event. Amidst this, a video was posted on X (formerly Twitter) stating that BJP leader and the current Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari did not join the other leaders to stand and cheer for Modi. Watch how Nitin Gadkari refused to stand up and chant Modi Modi . Glad someone showed the spine to resist this distasteful circus. What a video 😂🔥 pic.twitter.com/R3CH6JtO92 — Roshan Rai (@RoshanKrRaii) June 7, 2024 This video has gone viral on X with many accounts sharing the video and making the same claims. Anything to stop Narendra Modi from becoming Prime Minister; Asaduddin Owaisi
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, the candidate for the Lok Sabha seat from Hyderabad, openly said that he is willing to support anyone other than Narendra Modi in the fight for prime ministerial candidate.
In a statement to ANI, Mr. Owaisi said "I cannot talk about ifs, buts, and possibilities. I had said during the elections that if there is a chance that someone else can become the PM instead of Modi, then we will support them."
Talking about the Lok Sabha elections in 2024, Owaisi said that getting this many votes in the election should not have happened for BJP this time.
The atmosphere that was there in the country, according to the BJP should not have got even this number of seats. If we had done the right work they would have just got 150 seats. We could have stopped the BJP from forming the government and even the public wanted this, but were unsuccessful. But, at least we cannot be blamed," said Mr Owaisi.
"One thing is clear there wasn't any Muslim vote bank in the country and there never will be," he added.
Owaisi also talked about the BJP’s performance in Uttar Pradesh and said, "They thought they were invisible in UP but no one is invincible. Will PM Modi run the government with the help of crutches?"
Mr. Owaisi recorded 6,61,981 votes and defeated BJP's Madhavi Latha.
Thanking the people, Owaisi in a press conference said, I would like to thank the people as they have given success to Majlis for the fifth time. I would like to thank the people of Hyderabad, especially the youth, women, and first-time voters who have given a historic success to the AIMIM party."

Who did India vote for? Result of 2024 Lok Sabha election today
Will the BJP-led NDA return to power for a third term? Will the opposition parties, united under a front called INDIA, manage to give a tough fight to PM Modi? And will this election spring any new surprises? All questions will be answered tomorrow as the Election Commission announces the result of the Lok Sabha election 2024. Months of preparation and weeks of on-ground campaigning will see its final outcome on Tuesday. The counting will start at 8 am. The count of postal ballots will start first across all counting centres. After half-an-hour of the start of the postal ballot count, the counting of votes recorded in the electronic voting machines will commence, the Election Commission said. The order of counting will be: the postal ballot count, and then the EVM count, and finally the matching of VVPT slips with EVM results. TIMELINE OF 2024 LOK SABHA POLLS The 2024 Lok Sabha elections spanned seven phases: April 19, April 26, May 7, May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1. Twenty states including Delhi voted in a single-phase. Maharashtra and Jammu and Kashmir polled in 5 phases, while Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal voted in all seven phases of voting. Polling in Karnataka, Rajasthan, Tripura, and Manipur were held in two phases. Chhattisgarh and Assam saw 3 phases of voting, and Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, and Jharkhand had 4 phases of polling. As per a report by PRS Legislative Research, 8,360 candidates from 744 parties, including six nationally recognised parties, contested elections across 543 constituencies. POLITICAL PARTIES’ PREDICTION vs EXIT POLLS The INDIA bloc leaders expressed confidence in securing the majority. After the seventh and final phase of polling ended on June 1, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge confidently said, “INDIA bloc will win at least 295 seats.” However, the India Today-Axis My India exit poll, as well as several other exit polls, suggested a third term for the BJP-led NDA. The exit polls predict that the BJP, which has been loud with its ‘400 paar’ slogan, might just finish near the mammoth number. A poll of five exit polls, including India Today-Axis My India poll, suggests that the BJP-led NDA is likely to win 379 seats. The INDIA bloc, with the Congress as the main constituent, is likely to get 136 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha election. Published On: Jun 3, 2024 Source link via The Novum Times

'We are both India and Bharat, rest will be taken care of by Baba Baidyanath': RJD chief Lalu
Lalu also expressed concern over present affairs in the country and asserted that PM Modi's "exit is certain" following the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
Tumblr media
RANCHI: RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Monday accused the BJP government of “doing away” with the constitution and “wipe out” the name of BR Ambedkar.
Speaking to the media after offering prayers at Baba Baidyanath Dham temple in Jharkhand’s Deoghar, the RJD supremo remarked, “We will not allow the constitution, poor, unemployed or Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar to be harmed in any way. They (the saffron party) want to wipe out the name of Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar.”
Lalu also expressed concern over present affairs in the country and asserted that PM Modi’s “exit is certain” following the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
“The situation in the country is not good. Inflation and unemployment are at its peak. People are falling prey to hunger. Narendra Modi has resorted to deceiving people again with elections around the corner….But his exit is certain this time,” claimed the former Union Minister.
When asked about the ongoing ‘Bharat’ renaming controversy, the RJD Chief said, “We are both India and Bharat; the rest will be taken care of by Baba Baidyanath.”
“I visited both Baba Baidyanath and Basukinath and offered prayers to them and will visit a few other religious places following which I will jump into the poll battle and start the work for the INDIA block formed by 28 political parties,” he added.
He also came down heavily on PM Modi over the reduction of LPG prices, terming it a tactic to “deceive people before the elections.”
“The Prime Minister is trying to fool the people by reducing the price of gas cylinders by Rs 200, as if, he is paying it from his own pocket…. It is the money of the people. The funds for ration or kerosene come from citizens’ money,” the RJD chief remarked.
Terming the G20 summit a “waste of money”, Lalu questioned what benefit the common people of India would get from the summit. “What difference did G20 Summit make to the people of this Country…So much money in this Country was wasted by inviting so many people from across the world,” he said.
Meanwhile, Lalu informed that the INDIA bloc parties will start brainstorming soon to select candidates for the 2024 polls in New Delhi later this month, which will also be attended by Bihar Deputy CM Tejaswi Yadav. “A committee has already been formed and Prime Ministerial candidate will be elected one from them only,” he said.
There are no differences on the issue of the Prime Ministerial candidate and a consensus leader of the block will also be selected in due course, Yadav continued.
