I haven’t watched Dungeon Meshi, but I always enjoy the dashboard osmosis experience and have a peculiar visual memory. Here is what I believe Dungeon Meshi to be mostly about. No complicating experiences with the text, or indeed character references, fed into this extremely clear vision, which I believe I torrented directly from the astral plane at the same time as the creator was logged on
#dungeon Meshi#I think#features Bilbo#This GUY#and Meshi.#this isopod is mostly what I wanted to be doodling.#interesting to me that#the hobbit’s scarf and jerkin are very clear in my memory#and also the Skyrim helmet#but no idea what This Guy is actually wearing so I think I THINK it’s very cunty bishop#sleeves. you know like lantern sleeves.#I love them actually#it’s interesting what you absorb from#scrolling the dash passively when mutuals are into a new#thing#feels a bit like how AI must feel when consuming and regurgitating content!#also it’s obvious that the creator(s?) have developed a VERY visually distinctive character set that can be picked up on instantly#super unusual for anime right? normally they all have the same face?#so it’s quite cool to scroll past an anime with distinctly different faces in it#not to mention body types

Azran Legacy Lost Bonus Episode:
Rook and Bishop are in their stolen zeppelin, zooming away from The Nest
Bishop: Whooo! Freedom! I can't wait to see my mum again! What about you?
Rook: Yeah, sure....What about him?
Bishop: Who? Mr Bullet hole?
Rook: Don't call him that. His name is Mackintosh. He probably has a family too.
Bishop: I suppose.
Rook: Maybe we should find a way to contact them, let them know he's alright.
Bishop: Sure, but he looks pretty unconscious right now. He can't exactly give us any contact information.
Rook: Check his pockets. Maybe he has some ID or something we can use.
Bishop: Great idea Rook! You're so smart and.......
Rook: What's wrong? Did you find his wallet?
Bishop:......There's no wallet.....there's only radishes.
Rook: What do you mean there's only radishes?
Bishop: I mean there's only radishes! His pocket is full of radishes!
Rook: Who keeps radishes in their pockets!?
Bishop: I don't know!!!
Rook: Check his other pocket!
Bishop: THERE'S MORE RADISHES!!!
Rook: HIS TROUSER POCKETS??
Bishop: MORE RADISHES!!
Rook: HIS SOCKS????
Bishop: MORE RADISHES!!!
Rook: THIS ISN'T NORMAL!!!!!
Bishop: YOU'RE TELLING ME!!!!
Rook: OK OK OK. We need to calm down. Deep breaths. Last place to look, check under his hat.
Bishop: Hey! I found his wallet!
Rook: Great! Anything useful inside?
Bishop: ........
Rook: What?
Bishop: He doesn't have any ID. His wallet is full of....pictures. Pictures of radishes...
Rook: OK what the fu-
Mackintosh: WHO'S TOUCHING MY RADISHES???
Rook/Bishop: *unholy screaming*
Mackintosh always carrying radishes in his pockets is the strangest bit of trivia Level 5 could reveal in his profile, but I appreciate it.

Hi there, re: your newt tattoo sleeves!
I previously made these for a friend of mine and our method was to use coloured sharpies (we tried with three other brands of marker in various states of permanency but the only other thing that worked were the infinitely more expensive copic markers), and we wrapped his arm in saran wrap to avoid staining his skin to draw the outlines of the tattoo in, and then were able to remove and colour it without warping it too much because as long as we stayed within the lines we knew the proportions were correct.
The technique would work with one person you'd just be drawing them upside down.
You could possibly print out a paper stencil the size of your forearm and wrap it on under the plastic wrap so that you could follow along with the lines, I believe we did that when remaking them after the originals were lost.
Hi, thank you for the tips!!
I'm basically done the colouring process now (just need to touch up a couple mistakes), but the saran wrap + drawing right on the arm is a really good idea! I considered taping a template to my arm at one point, but the tape would have ripped my arm hair out, so I decided not to lol. I'll have to try the saran wrap if I end up making more of these.
I mostly used Tulip brand fabric markers, and they've worked really well so far! I haven't had any problems with them smudging or coming off, just with the black marker bleeding when I tried to do the outlines (I did let them dry overnight before trying them on, and admittedly I've only had the sleeves on for about 15 mins so far - the real test will be tomorrow when I'm actually wearing my costume). The Tulip markers don't have a strong smell & were cheap ($10 CAD for a pack of 6 with the colours I needed, & I think I got it for less because Michaels always has coupons). They're also non-iron. I discovered at the craft store that a lot of fabric paint and fabric markers are heat-set, which wasn't gonna work on tights.
I used sharpie for the outline on the right sleeve, and that worked a lot better than the black Tulip marker, but I'm sensitive to smells & couldn't handle drawing with it for very long. It's definitely the way to go for the outlines if you don't have that issue, though.
#asks#the-bishop-rook#unscientific aside#i will post pictures of the sleeves at some point#probably after i get the full cosplay on together#im also sewing bracelet cuffs for the sleeves#to disguise the ends#also idk what the deal is with the black tulip marker!! it's literally JUST that one#all the colours were fine

Enjoyed the long weekend away from work and at the sewing machine. Made this pretty little thing using Flossie Potter’s Simple Stitches pattern. I added the apron using Kirsten’s meet apron for inspiration and added the grow stripe:
The fabric came from BKFunFinds on Etsy and is vintage VIP Cranston.
These sleeves make me so happy 😊
