Apparently, this guy was supposed to show up if you took too long to defeat a boss. And on top of that, his programming was recycled for the Bishop from King's Leap.

Dude, this is so unfair. I feel like I've been cheated. I've been wanting a grim reaper character in Cuphead for FOREVER. Granted, this guy is goofy as all hell, but that just makes it better.

​I have a headcanon that as a priest, Bishop presents himself as a strict person but he actually has a cheerful personality. The reason is he displays the most dynamic facial expressions even for the Cuphead standard and due to his iconic dancing in the background, it's hard to assume he is calm. And he seems a bit mischievous judging by the death screen.
