Yoshi is afraid of Karai, but when he argues with Leo he always runs away to his Foot Clan lair. Mikey is the one he confides in the most when he has a problem. When Yoshi was just born he was full of vitality, in the first months he didn't let the boys sleep. Raph was the only one who could rock him to sleep, while Donnie had wasted a lot of time adjusting hundreds of diapers to fit his shell. Mikey had to learn how to cook baby turtle food, and when he learns that Yoshi loves strawberries, he invents many dishes for him. Leo spent a lot (too much) money on adorable Kigurumi pajamas for Yoshi after he went into hibernation during a very cold winter as a two-year-old. Yoshi develops a spiritual connection with Splinter, occasionally seeing and talking to him just like Leonardo has since the day of his death.  Donnie is the first to discover that Yoshi is bisexual.

My personal suspicion I had since 2017 (when I became a fan and watched this interview) is that he pushed her too much, even sexually, and that was one of the last straws.
