Okay, I'm doing my big one today, introducing to you PopSewing brand. This brand caught my attention through TikTok, where I came across numerous videos of creators sewing their own bags, a trend that followed the viral #wirkin movement. I love that PopSewing offers so many bag options, including a dedicated section for inspired designs—my favorite being their Hermès collection. They offer a range of colors, including Etoupe, Dark Green, Peacock Blue, Khaki, Cream White, and Brown.

What I find particularly interesting about PopSewing is the DIY aspect. Creating your own bag cleverly navigates copyright laws while encouraging user creativity. However, if sewing isn't your thing, you can also purchase pre-sewn bags, though these are understandably priced slightly higher.

Another interesting aspect of this brand is its dual presence: they have a comprehensive website as well as an Amazon storefront. So if you feel more comfortable shopping through a large retailed like amazon, you have that option with this brand.

I haven't personally used PopSewing products yet, but I'm planning to sew a bag for my best friend, who's a huge handbag enthusiast, for her upcoming birthday. The prices are very appealing, ranging from $112 USD for a top-grain leather Birkin-inspired design to $92 USD for a mini Kelly. I've also noticed they offer a wider range of colors than I originally mentioned, depending on the specific listing. I'm particularly drawn to the black mini Kelly, which appears to be made from box leather. If I could change one thing, it would be to offer more hardware customization; I'm a big fan of gold hardware.

For secure online shopping, I always recommend using trusted third-party payment systems like Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal. It's best to avoid entering your card information directly on websites, as even trusted sites can be vulnerable to security breaches.

Sometimes the value we receive by sharing on AncientFaces is the joy of bringing kindness to strangers…Josh Currie enjoys metal detecting and discovered in Northern Ontario Canada a Sterling Silver Birks Memorial Bar of an RCAF Pilot who lost his life overseas during World War 2.

The bar belonged to 27 year old Donald Cameron Walker, the only son of Robert and Ethel May Walker, who left all that was dear to him to fight during the WW2 where he tragically lost his life.

Josh couldn’t just sit on this discovery, and thanks to his 7 months of research and perseverance, was able to return this bar to family 72 years after Donald’s passing so that now Officer Walker’s Memorial Bar is displayed alongside his medals at his local Royal Canadian Legion.

In the words of Josh, “THIS is why I dig holes in the dirt!”.

OK, funny story. I actually have silver vomeros too. I also have some Birkenstock clogs and those are probably my two shoes that are in rotation the most. I would say that they are worth it 100%.

HARTFORD WOLF PACK REPORTER'S NOTEBOOK

It features the return of last year's successful "Pucks and Paws" event, where fans can bring their beloved dogs to the game. The date for the "Pucks and Paws" game is December 22nd against the Bridgeport Islanders. That date is one of the season's 72-game schedule featuring 36 home dates. Another favorite returning is "Hops and Hockey Night" on December 30th, also against the Islanders. HARTFORD RELATED PLAYER MOVES Ex-Pack goalie Keith Kinkaid has dissolved his association with the Chicago Wolves. He signed a one-year, two-way deal with the New Jersey Devils and their AHL affiliates, the Utica Devils. The contract pays $775K in the NHL and $350K for games in the AHL. There are reports he could still be assigned to Chicago if he is reassigned to the AHL. A trusted West Coast NHL team source said of Kinkaid, "He can play well. We talked with two teams he has played for. We got a thumbs down on him. He's not a good locker room guy. So, we opted not to sign or offer him a deal." Rayen Petrovický, the son of former Hartford Whaler/Ranger Róbert Petrovický, signs with HC Liberec (Czechia-CEL). He was then loaned to VHK Vestin Czechia (Czech Republic) Division-II. The move makes him eligible to play for both teams next season. Malloy hopes to return next season for a better season in the league's 23rd year. He finished second in team scoring with ten goals and 31 points in 19 games. Malloy hopes to get one more crack at the Australian National team in April when they play at the IIHF Group A Division II tournament in Serbia. He will hope to start with a three-game series against neighbor and Southern Hemispheric rival, New Zealand, and looks to lengthen his play from last year's tournament in Madrid, where he suffered a broken jaw in their game against Israel. That led to a harrowing experience in a Spanish hospital where nobody spoke English. 16 native Australians are on the national team. Malloy hopes in his post-season career, whenever it starts, to coach at the junior level with the Central Coast Stingrays team and help grow the game in Australia. NHL DOWN UNDER Malloy, like others, is anxiously waiting for the NHL exhibition games to be played this week in the Land Down Under at the Rod Laver Arena. They will be the first two NHL games ever to be played there. The two games will air the pair of Los Angeles Kings - Arizona Coyotes contests on the NHL Network. The games will be played on Friday, September 22nd, and September 23rd at 9 p.m., 17 hours ahead in the Pacific time zone, where they will be played at 2 p.m. local time. Melbourne's ice hockey rink seats only 1,500. The Henke Rink at the O'Brien Icehouse in the Dockland's precinct of Melbourne is home to two AIHL teams, the Ice and Mustangs. A building only seating 1,500 is not suitable for NHL hockey. The first Australian to score an NHL goal was Nathan Walker, now with the St. Louis Blues. Tommy Dunderdale of Benalla, AUS, was inducted post-humously in 1974. He was credited with the very first penalty-shot goal in NHL history. He was a prominent player in the early 20th century as he skated with the Pacific Coast Hockey Association (PCHA). Dunderdale grew up, learned hockey in Winnipeg, and played against the Montreal Canadiens before they were in the NHL. The 114-year-old Goodall Cup is awarded each season to the AIHL champion. Two weeks ago, it was awarded to the Melbourne Mustangs. The Goodall Cup is the fifth oldest trophy competed for in hockey. The Beginning~ Rafe Cameron

After a long time of broken promises of the ‘365’ Fluff, here it is!! I finally had some down time from work and my life and finally got around to finishing this. It would have been posted earlier, had not my laptop crashed :)

You grew up in the OBX with Rafe. You just weren’t exactly as stuck up as the rest of the Kooks. You grew up with the Cameron’s but Rafe usually stayed away from you and Sarah.

Your parents did business with Ward occasionally. Your dad was a real estate agent and Ward did all the contracting on the houses. And your mom worked at the ‘Kook Academy’ as everyone called it. It was a private school on Figure 8 that only certain families could afford.

During the summer, you worked at the country club that way you had some extra cash on you when you went back to school. And that’s what got Rafe’s attention. That and the little tennis skirts you wore. Whenever he was out on the course, he would request you as the beverage girl.

And he always left a hefty tip.

Short, flirty glances turned into light touches, which turned into exchanging numbers. After a few weeks, Rafe finally asked you out on a date. And it was perfect. He took you out to the fanciest restaurant in Chapel Hill, paid for dinner, and took you for a walk around the pier. The perfect night with the perfect guy.

About a month or so later, he finally asked you out, and after baiting him for a little bit, you said yes.

You guys were the ‘IT’ couple in the OBX. Guys wanted to be him and girls wanted to tear your hair out. Rafe was one of the hottest guys on the island and girls weren’t happy to learn that he was now in a relationship.

You were making your first official outing as a couple tonight at the kegger. And you were hoping nothing would go wrong.

Your phone went off and you picked it up to read Rafe’s text.

‘Outside babe.’

You slid on your Birks and grabbed your keys, making your way downstairs. After saying bye to your parents, you made your way outside and over to Rafe’s truck.

“Well, hello gorgeous.” He smirked as you got into his truck, eyes taking in your appearance. You had on a white crop top, black cut off shorts, and your Birks, which you paired with silver jewelry.

“Hey handsome.” You smiled, turning to look at him. He had on a white and black striped shirt, black jeans, and black shoes. And a diamond chain.

That fucking chain.

He knew what that chain did to you. Which is probably why he was wearing it.

“Damn.”

“What?” He asked, leaning over the console, you doing the same, “I have the finest boyfriend in the Outer Banks.”

“And I have the finest girl in the world.” He smiled, leaning forward to connect your lips. You placed a hand on his jaw as one of his came to rest on your neck, deepening the kiss.

Rafe pulled away, causing you to pout, which quickly turned into a smile as he pecked your lips before facing forward and pulling out of your driveway.

Pulling into a spot at the beach, Rafe tightened his grip on the steering wheel as he took in the sight before him. He clenched his jaw before scoffing. You turned and raised an eyebrow at him, noticing his demeanor, “what?”

“Fucking Pogues.” He scoffed, causing you to let out a sigh, “Ignore them. Please.”

He kissed his teeth but nodded. You reached over and grabbed his hand, kissing his knuckles before giving it a squeeze, “C’mon, you need a drink.”

Things were going okay for the most part. You made him act civil with JJ and John B, who were in charge of drinks. You two stood off to the side, a ways away from people but close enough to see what was going on. Rafe had you tucked into his side the entire night, his arm wrapped around you.

You quickly realized you got jealous when it came to him. All the girls had a hard time understanding that Rafe was taken and you were about to throw hands.

“Calm down,” Rafe teased, brushing his lips against your ear, “I have the girl I want right here.”

That made you loosen up a bit, “just didn’t realize how many hoes you had, Cameron.”

Rafe laughed into his cup, giving your hip a squeeze. You turned in his hold, wrapping your arms around his waist, trying not to spill your drink in the process. Laying your head against him, you buried your head into his jacket.

“You okay?” He humbled, rubbing his hand up your arm, as you nodded, “just cold is all.”

He pulled away from you, handing you his drink as he shrugged off his jacket, wrapping it around your shoulders before taking his cup back.

You felt the heat rise up as you buried your face in the fur-lined collar. Rafe was significantly taller than you, so you were drowning in his jacket.

“Have I told you how much I love your cologne?”

“Once or twice.” He shrugged, wrapping his arm around your shoulder, pulling you into him, “well, I still love it”

Kelce and Topper eventually made their way over to you two. Of course, the duo have the two of you shit for getting together, as they called it when you guys started flirting out on the course.

“Hey, is…is Sarah seeing anyone?” Topper asked, looking between you and Rafe. Kelce took a step back, not wanting to get caught in the crossfire.

“Do you… do you have a thing for my sister?” Rafe asked, narrowing his eyes at the blonde, who now found his cup very interesting, “maybe.”

“No,” you answered, “she’s not seeing anyone.”

You yelped as Rafe pinched your side, elbowing him in return, “What? I think they’d be cute together. Besides, if I had a younger sibling, I’d feel better about them dating one of my friends.”

“One chance. You blow it and your done.”

Topper nodded his head, a small smile on his face as Kelce watched in disbelief, “Seriously? That was it?”

“You wanted him to beat up Topper?” You questioned, amusement on your face. Kelce just shrugged, looking between the three of you, “Was at least expecting some yelling.”

“God, you’re weird.”

You and Rafe quickly got bored of the party, so you two made your way down to a quiet spot on the beach.

You had your shoes in one hand and were holding Rafe’s hand with the other.

“You know,” Rafe started, pulling you closer to him, “I had a crush on you when we were younger.”

You stopped in your tracks and looked up at him, “seriously? You avoided me like the plague growing up.”

“Only because you and Sarah were attached at the hip as kids and I didn’t want to spend anymore time than I had to with her.”

“Brother of the year, everybody.” You teased, nudging his shoulder with yours, “I had a crush on you in high school.”

“I was a dick in high school.” He pointed out, raising his eyebrow at you. You raised an eyebrow at him with an ‘are you serious’ look on your face.

“Okay, I’m still a dick but not as much as I used to be.”

“Not the Rafe I knew,” you started, “The Rafe I saw in high school ditched his friends when Sarah’s date showed up with another girl at homecoming. I saw the Rafe who helped with the fundraisers. And not just the basketball ones.”

“The Rafe I knew in high school, wasn’t a dick.” You finished, you looked up at him with nothing but adoration in your eyes.

“How did I get so lucky to get you as my girlfriend?” He asked in a quiet voice. You pulled him closer, wrapping your arms around his neck as his went around your waist, “you were just yourself.”
