No but why is the Norris family so cute??? Lando is such a mommy's and daddies boy and Adam is just #1 Lando fan page right now. It's adorable 😭
I think the Norris fam is just super loving and tactile and partly what I can only guess is a result of what Adam and Cisca were brought up in. I can't say too much on the Belgian side but even just seeing Lando with his grandparents at Silverstone, the way they looked at him, his grandma holding his hands and ignoring the fist bump to kiss him on the cheek
It's so obvious that that household is so filled with love and that's an environment Lando grew up in and it's so lovely seeing how he doesn't shy away from it
His mum or dad wants to hug him and kiss him but there's cameras and people around? Doesn't matter, he's there, accepting the affection, soaking it up like a little sponge and it settles him
I will never ever ever get over the way he hugs his dad in particular, it's always pushing his face into Adam's neck and holding close and it makes me very 🥺
These 3 pages are titled "Lost and Found". It's not rly related to any particular event in the story (it's just the aftermath of a mission here) But i'd probably situate it after chapter 8 with the whole Camu ordeal. I wanted to show how Kamui has found people that accept him and care for him while Camu is left behind, living through Kamui
my first post of the year obviously has to be my post-trial waleran headcanon, with my oc, his sister Wynflaed :)
i have another post about it but the basics is that he gets exiled from Shiring, becomes a vagrant for a bit on the way to Lincoln and is taken in by his estranged family which run a tailor workshop, becoming the local weird old man(tm).
honestly my state's pride was ultimately underwhelming this year for me, but i gotta say it's...somewhat nice that it can be boring? like im so accepted and validated by people in my life that pride no longer feels like (for me) an escape or outlet. i attended this specific event with my mom in 2018 and it was my first pride event. i was still in high school. i remember it literally brought me out of a deep depressive episode for a bit, because of how fun and affirming and safe it was. it was a celebration of me and people like me!
but now i kinda get that everyday in my life. so pride really only offers me a chance to hang with some friends, day drink, smoke weed in public, and pick up freebies at every tent. it's basically like any other holiday to me now. but isn't that amazing? that im so accepted and loved and celebrated as a whole queer person, that i can take something like pride for granted?
i'm super thankful for that. i'm still super thankful for pride.
and, i gotta say, it was really touching to see so many middle school and high school aged kids there, sometimes with their parents and sometimes by themselves. i hope they one day can find pride as "boring" as i do. i hope every queer person can.
I know this is so obvious for a series with the subtitle "Brotherhood" but sometimes I get to thinking and I just. Wow. Fullmetal Alchemist really is about family right down to its core. It's about estranged families and dysfunctional families and families that would die for each other and families that are absolutely furious that you would dare try to die on them. It's about families you're born into and families you create and families you choose and families that you kind of stumble into. It's about siblings and parents and grandparents and friends and comrades and I think I need to lie down
