(Name) was on the verge of tears when his eldest decided to leave the nest, move into his own apartment and do his own things without (name) to care for him.

"Darling, what are you doing?" Bruce grumbled, coming back from patrol to see (name) putting together Tupper containers filled with food "What if he's hungry?!" (Name) stressed as he put them in a reusable bag, mumbling things about how none of his children could cook as Bruce sighed and walked to (name) before lifting him in his arms "PUT ME DOWN!" (name) barked out as Bruce just ignored him "we can see him tomorrow" Bruce compromised as he tossed (name) on the bed and laid on him, (name) smacking his shoulder "you're heavy!"

Bruce held the bags off food as (name) and him entered the elevator of the small apartment building "could we at least let him get furniture?" (Name) said worried for his son, what if he had no furniture!? "Darling, he bought furniture two weeks ago, you helped him get it, he just used his own money" Bruce said to his mate who pouted, annoyed Bruce wasn't giving into his every little whim and want as Bruce gently scented him.

"What are you two doing here?" Dick said knowing his pops dragged dad here "I just wanted to make sure you were settling in, check your new pad" (name) said fixing some pillows as Dick realed in his parent "pops, you got a whole mansion to putter in, leave my apartment alone"

"But-"

"No"

Dick may have stopped him from tidying his apartment but he couldn't stop him from filling his fridge with food and treats that the Omega made "I tried to stop him but this was his compromise" Bruce said as (name) showed him all the foods and showed their expiry dates, dick noting that they were all his favorite foods.

Dick thought this would be the only surprise visit but no.

No no.

"Richard! Open up!" Damien yelled as he knocked on the door, 9pm and Richard was just trying to study for his classes when he opened his front door to see his youngest brother holding a pillow, a blanket and a backpack on his back "what are you doing here, hellion?"fuck said letting his younger brother inside "father and mama wanted to send me to Kent's" the 9 year old shuttered at the thought of being with those smiley idiots as Dick shot a text to his parents and the Kent's "they tried to send me there for the night, I would rather die" the boy said simply, unphased at his actions.

The two watched action movies and ate the food (name) brought till the boy passed out, Dick tucking him on the couch before checking his texts, Dad thanking him for watching him as the Kent's seemed exasperated but thankful he was safe.

At least his apartment wasn't lonely.

Bestie I NEED to hear your thoughts about Harley and Bruce possibly being secret twins 👀👀👀👀👀

Been thinking about this for WEEKS i fear!!!! This came right as 'rona dragged me down I'm sorry this took so long!!!

I don't know or care about how secret twins happens, what happens in the bedroom of Thomas and Martha and Alfred Pennywayne is NONE of my business unless they invite me which is fine btw

since they're fraternal twins they COULD TECHNICALLY have different dads. am I saying Alfred is Harley's bio dad perhaps and the clown is going to have empty space where his head used to be but I digress. This explains SO MUCH I feel but also we should in no way think that the parents know this. They don't know nor care because THAT IS THEIR BABIESSS. it would probably be Bruce and Harley finding out when they're forty or something because someone needs a kidney. They purposefully forget the information. They don't need it.

And as insufferable as Thomas is with Baby Brucie can you IMAGINE how AWFUL he would be as a Girl Dad tm. I am thinking of your "if you detain one you detain both I KNOW MY RIGHTS" post but with two children!!. Also Thomas would be THEEE cattiest mfer amongst the other dance moms. My god Alfred and Martha would never know peace. Also a million zillion pictures of each parent konked out while holding 2 sleeping toddlers, THINK on it I beseech thee it's so cute. (But then, Thomas accidentally saving/kidnapping Harley from the park and Bruce and Harley INSISTING they are identical twins. Everyone is like no you really aren't until Thomas gives them the most murderous look known to man over their tiny heads. VERY funny when Jason and Cass also do this)

Maybe Harley was very very sickly as a baby and they kept her a secret to keep the press away. I can see family not talking about Martha's pregnancy AT ALL particularly if it was high risk in any way like she would be visibly pregnant due any day and someone would ask her if she was excited about the baby and she would deadass say 'what baby'.

The ideal scenario the Pennywaynes have for their offspring is that they keep the bambini hidden. as far as the press knows one day 18 year olds pop up outside the Wayne Manor as fully formed scions to the empire. You've never heard of them before? GOOD. That was the point.

Also the DRAMA, the ANGST, I think this makes sense with Bruce's weird dynamic with the Joker (though this could work with just siblings ig)?

Bruce doesn't want to kill the person his twin loves because it would hurt his twin, who HE loves. And killing the Joker could result in Harley hating him! Bruce trying so hard to be supportive for Harley and just be there for her so when she finally decides to leave the Joker she knows Bruce has her back.

Bruce knowing all the stuff about what support systems do that helps and hurts victims of intimate partner violence so he's always playing this balancing act of what he feels like he can say/do about him before it affects Harley. And it being his self given job to stop the Joker from doing HIS self given job. If he helps Gotham he hurts Harley. If he tries to help Harley, he hurts Gotham (does very interesting things to the brainworms when thinking about Jason's murder! about why Bruce feels like he can't or shouldn't go after the Joker--because he's proven he will kill a child and use their mother to get them, that is not a man above using his partner to hurt his nemesis!!! and that would be a whole thing for Bruce, he doesn't act because he's genuinely terrified, worried that if he fails he'll lose harley too

idk if the Joker would know about Harley and Bruce being related or Bruce being Batman but I could see this being the turning point for how Harley views the Joker. Like, she'd been going over to the Manor to help Jason talk through his feelings every month for years. Would it have mattered if the Joker knew he was her nephew?)

Also makes the weird sexual tension Bats has with the Joker even weirder if he IS aware of their relationship. He'd be so gross about it. Yes the Joker wants the Wayne twins. He flirts with them in front of the other to piss them off, mostly Harley. Would highkey lie and say Bruce was flirting with him to drive a wedge between Bruce and Harley oh my god I went such a not fun direction with this

Identical twins could be very funny if they were separated at birth no i do not know why they would be separated just roll with me. the one that does not transition is like "why do you have a picture of me as a kid this is creepy what do you mean that's you' . Everyone at college is like ha ha you two look like you could be related! You do the same icky face when you eat pineapple. They dOn'T sEe iT

Maybe she was kidnapped (by like a very young deathstroke or something idk) and SOMEhow Oswald Cobblepot winds up with this feral toddler in his possession. A goon made a terrible life choice perhaps? And Ozzie is just an up and coming crime lord, still settling into the family business, how tf is he supposed to know the Waynes are missing THIS child? if he knew don't you think he'd be extorting people??? I think they could have some very fun and adorable Stacker Pentecost and Mako Mori vibes this man has NO idea how to raise a child but by god!! He will do it right!!! Literally nobody knows about her, he would have people killed for suspecting her existence.

But also take your daughter to work day??!? Harley yelling at incompetent goons in a sweet baby voice. Ozzie is SO PROUD of her, he wouldn't have minded her going into the family business but she's going to be a doctor!! He is just a proud papa!!! Fearsome crime lord The Penguin with sparkle pink nail polish and bows stuck to his head having a tea party with Lil Harley.

I think this is ALSO interesting with the Joker!! I would love if the only reason his dumb ass wasn't taken out the moment he stepped foot in Gotham was because he's Harley's Boyfriend. The only thing stopping the rogues from turning on him is that Harley likes him!! Is he the Gotham version of a crypto-finance bro?

What if it's an older Harley who is kidnapped? Like post Thomas and Martha shooting. It's part of what cements Bruce's notoriety as the Last Wayne. (Everyone asks if he can sense her through their Twin Bond and he gets sooooo mad that's not a real thing!!!! He feels so guilty because if that was a real thing, shouldn't he be able to find her? Shouldn't he know????)

Cut to Batman and Joker in a showdown and there is Harley and Bats CAN'T STOP STARING?!??? why does she seem so familiar? The Joker notices of course and starts saying some very crass things but the IMPORTANT part is that at some point Harley mentions not minding beating up on Batman because she once had a baby brother who was terrified of bats, so she's doing this for him!!! And Bruce is like wait I once had an older sister and I'M afraid of bats?!?!

Harley looks at him REALLY HARD and all of the sudden she's screaming "BABY B????" and roundhouse kicking the Joker into some metal oil drums. NOBODY beats up her baby brother!!!!

Hi hello, Damian pulling a Talia-esque move with his own child is INSANE/pos. But with that devastating concept I wonder: would the child be like Damian and be able to pick out Jon in a building with hundreds of people in it- or be like Jon in the sense that he had no idea that he wasn't fully human for so long,let alone who his other bio parent is? Damian raising his kid knowing that Jon's involvement would be like his own relationship with his father, impossibly distant no matter the proximity. Damian raising his child angry at the thought of Jon treating their child like Clark did Kon,even if he's more like Lois than anyone.

Like.. Damian canonically KNOWS he's loved but he doesn't really FEEL loved by Bruce most of the time. Would he refuse the same fate extended to his child,his flesh and blood due to that gut-wrenching feeling alone? Or would he do it seeing Jon chase his father's shadow years into adulthood,knowing he would never be his father's equal but his little lanky farm boy forever and ever... Not wanting either dynamic for his beloved baby,even if it will hurt everyone around him at the betrayal.

Omg Clark and Lois not knowing they're grandparents. Clark not knowing the person he distrusts most in his son's life is his grandchild's-Jon's kid- father. Lois missing the opportunity to see another child of hers grow up,to be the grandparent her parents never were... The absolute meltdown Jon will have because Damian,his tether,his other half- didn't think HE would be a good dad for their kid even as they float after a running dog and Damian struggling to coach them through the method of flying .. My mind is plagued now thanks/pos HORRIFIC ENDING THOUGHT: would the kid look more like Damian like he looks like Talia,so much so that Jon wouldn't recognize himself in them like Bruce did? God I'm throwing up😭😭

My HC is like in Invincible, even the tiniest bit of kryptonian DNA can make a very powerful person. So the kid definitely has powers from the start but Damian hopes the kid doesn’t.

But besides that I honestly think Damian would make a great father. My idea is that the child looks EXACTLY like him so it’s hard for anyone who doesn’t know to guess that it’s also Jon’s.

Damian considers the baby his, it’s got his DNA, it’s his kid and no one is taking them away. I’m not into the whole Damian ending up as Batman and I think if he had a child that child would take priority over EVERYTHING else, including hero business.

Jon is flighty and also Superman. Damian is worried he wouldn’t be there enough, that (like you said) the child would have a torn relationship with him. And what if they did break up? He’d have to give up his kid certain days of the week? What if Clark didn’t consider him a good enough parent and suddenly Damian is having to prove himself. So in his head him not telling Jon is justified.

And to his credit, he’s an excellent parent but it does make him guilty. It’s awful watching Jon go around oblivious to everything. And if you consider how Damian would have to lie it could wreck any romantic relationship because it could involve a third party (a woman Damian hooked up perhaps)

And yeah, Jon would totally freak the hell out because by time he knows the kid is old enough for it to matter. And suddenly the entire thing Damian was trying to avoided happens, his kid and their father have a giant space between them and it’s all his fault.

DICK & JAY

neither of them know they’re demigods, dick thought john grayson was his bio dad and jason thought catherine was his bio mom.

hermes met dick’s mom while she was traveling with the circus. he stayed with marie for about two years after dick was born (taking care of him while she performed) before leaving. a few years later she met john grayson and fell in love. she would often read dick greek myths but never told him about his parentage.

after dick’s parents die in gotham, he (10) is sent to juvie and then an orphanage, which he runs away from.

he survives on the streets for a few months by busking (performing tricks for money) and living in abandoned buildings that no one else can reach. he then meets 8 year old jason todd who is living with catherine and willis todd. they bond pretty much immediately and dick visits him every day. they do cons and steal tires together, plus dick is an expert pickpocket. he is there for jason when catherine and then willis die, and they live in willis’ shitty apartment together.

about a year later they are found by a satyr who explains that they are demigods and that there’s a summer camp for kids like them. they are VERY distrustful at first because that sounds crazy but also it’s a satyr so maybe they’re not lying. eventually they decide they might as well go, gotham is a shithole anyway.

they get to CHB without incident bc neither of them really attract monsters and the Gotham Stench hides their scents anyway. they are the first of the batkids to arrive at camp.

dick (11) is claimed by hermes about three weeks after arriving. him and jason (9) live at camp year-round. when he’s 16 dick becomes head counselor of hermes cabin.

JASON

son of athena. father unknown. was left on the streets and found by catherine todd, who convinced willis to take him in. he was living with them when he met dick. they immediately bonded and after jason is orphaned they live together, until a year later when a satyr finds them.

he’s not claimed for a while after arriving, but doesn’t really mind bc it means he gets to stay with dick. eventually claimed years later but still eats lunch with the hermes cabin cuz dick is his family.

CASS

hades/bruce meets lady shiva and falls in love with her deadliness. they have a child together but he has to abandon her bc the ‘no more kids’ pact the big 3 have.

sandra wu-san meets david cain while pregnant and tasks him with training her daughter. he agrees and lady shiva leaves soon after giving birth. cain does not know she’s a demigod. he trains her to be the perfect weapon and hades/bruce can do nothing about it without alerting his brothers to her existence.

her powers manifest after the first time she kills someone (at 8), and she runs away. she travels across the world for years until a satyr finds her and brings her to CHB. she (10) is claimed soon after, and enjoys living alone in the hades cabin. chiron and babs teach her how to read and speak, even tho she’s learned a bit over the years. she arrives a year after dick (12) & jason (10)

TIM

athena met jack and janet drake at one of their archeological digs, and admired their intellect. she gave them tim as a gift. jack and janet spent the first few years of his life at home with him, until they decided he was old enough to join them on their travels. he was an incredibly smart child and was very self-sufficient, so it didn’t cause them any trouble. he didn’t go to school, but had a tutor that accompanied them on their trips.

when he is 10 his parents die in a plane crash that he survives. after their funeral, he ditches NYC (where they were buried) and athena sends an owl to guide him to camp. he arrives at CHB about a year after cass (11) and 2 years after dick (13) & jason (11). he is jay’s favorite bio sibling.

STEPH

daughter of hermes. raised by crystal brown in gotham until a satyr finds her (11) and brings her to camp. frequently exchanges letters with her mom. arrives a year after tim (11), two years after cass (12), and three years after dick (14) and jason (12)

claimed few months after arriving at camp. she is dick’s favorite bio sibling

DUKE

son of apollo. one of the rare apollo children that can control light. raised by his mom in newark until they were attacked by a monster and his mom was injured.

he left in order to keep her safe, and went to CHB (which apollo had told her about, and she told duke about). he keeps in contact with her through letters and iris messages. he is claimed about a month after arriving at camp. he (11) arrives two years after steph (13), three years after tim (13), four years after cass (14) and five years after dick (16) and jason (14)

DAMIAN

similar to lady shiva, bruce/hades is captivated by talia’s deadliness. they have a child together, which she tries to hide from ra’s, but he soon finds out and learns he is a demigod. to him, this makes him even more fit to ascend the demon throne (the LoA is a cult, and the lazarus pit is magic).

damian is trained to defeat monsters and humans alike, and is gifted a stygian iron sword for his fifth birthday. bruce/hades had told talia about CHB, and she is finally able to send damian there when he is 10.

he arrives three years after duke (14), five years after steph (16), six years after tim (16), seven years after cass (17), and eight years after dick (19) and jason (17)

BABS

has been at CHB since she was 13, the same year dick & jason arrived. she is the new oracle of delphi. basically rachel elizabeth dare. is 21 when damian arrives. was paralyzed at 16 when she tried to interfere with a prophecy, and has been in a wheelchair since

Operators Are Standing By 1/1

Sequel to this

Danny pouted as his parents sped up to Wayne Manor in the Fenton Speeder.

He hadn’t planned on meeting his biological family anytime soon. Still, after they kept barging randomly into his house, school, during patrol…in the bathroom while he was showering at one point, he decided it’d be easier to meet with them at an allotted time.

It doesn’t mean he had to like it. He was sacrificing his Spring Vacation for this.

At least, this time around, his bio mother wouldn’t be there. (She’s the one that barged in while he was showering.)

Ancients, why did he have to be related to such fruit loops? He finally got rid of one to end up with eight new ones.

It didn’t help that he found out his bio mom is an assassin that comes from a cult that worships a deathless fruit loop (who is also Danny’s grandfather), his bio dad is a furry that fights criminals at night, and the rest of his adoptive siblings and twin brother put on spandex to fight criminals, too.

At least he knows where his heroic tendencies come from.

The only normal person in the family seemed to be Alfred.

Danny sighed. Why was he surprised? His adopted family were ghost hunters; he could die on command and fought ghosts to protect his town. Of course, his birth family was also gonna be weird.

“Okay, sweetie, we’re here. Now, remember, if you want to come home, call us, and we’ll fly here in the Fenton Speeder to pick you up. We love you, hun.”

“Thanks, mom.”

Danny exited the speeder and watched his parents fly away, leaving him behind with his luggage. One suitcase for the week he was staying in the Manor of Insanity.

As Alfred opened the door and welcomed him inside, Danny couldn’t help but feel he had forgotten something.

“Is this important,” Bruce asked, irritated.

His Justice League communicator had gone off, and if he had to deal with one of his co-workers doing something stupid again instead of getting to know his newest son, well, he’d take his glare up to 1000%.

“Sorry to bother you, Bats,” Constantine said without sounding sorry, “But it’s an all-hands-on-deck situation. There’s an asteroid made of Kryptonite heading this way, and we can’t think of any way to stop it except summoning the Ghost King. We need a tie-breaker since some of us decided to vote against it.”

Well, at least it was for something important.

“I’m so sorry, Danny. As soon as I deal with this emergency, I’ll be back to get to know you,” Bruce apologized as he put on his Batsuit. At least the Batcave looked cool.

“It’s fine,” Danny reassured the man, “Go save the world. Let me know if there’s anything I can do.”

Bruce nodded, got into some tube, and disappeared in a flash of light.

Well, he might as well see how the ectoshots were helping Jason.

“Your summoning is very important to us. Operators are standing by. Thank you for your patience.”

The cheery voice had been on repeat for the last two hours.

Bruce could be having dinner with his kids right now (even Jason was there.) Instead, he was stuck waiting for a Ghost King that was not answering. If Bruce didn’t have an image to maintain, he would be pulling his hair out.

“…Thank you for your patience.”

“Is there any way we could speed this along,” Diana asked, “That asteroid is going to land in less than 24 hours.”

How had they missed such a big thing hurtling toward the Earth in the first place? If they had caught it sooner, they could’ve devised some other plan instead of trying to summon the King of the Dead.

“Your summoning is very important to us…”

“There’s a more…forceful way to summon him, but I don’t think it would help getting him on our side.”

Bruce was a patient man. He had to be. Right now, though, he wanted to go home.

“Do it; the Earth can’t wait.”

Danny had been having fun with the Wayne kids. He had the best dinner he had ever had, got to have a pun off with Dick (to the horror of the rest of the siblings.), and even got to spar with them.

(Danny got to bond with his twin over weapons.)

At the moment, they were in the media room and were playing video games. Danny was starting to bond with his adopted siblings when he felt a tug in his chest.

One moment he was kicking ass in Mario Kart. The next, he was standing in front of a bunch of people in colorful costumes. Danny was wearing his Ghost King regalia.

(The Justice League saw a creature with too many rows of teeth, white hair flowing in the air, a crown of ice, and a body with too-long limbs.)

“Oh, come on, I was just about to beat them,” he whined.

A blond guy wearing a trench coat stepped out, “Your majesty, we called you here today to ask a favor. I am willing to give you my soul in exchange—”

“Yeah, let me stop you right there,” Danny said, “First of all, I don’t deal in souls. I’m the King of Ghosts; eventually, everyone ends up in my domain. Secondly, even if I did, I can tell you’ve already sold your soul a shit ton of times, you whore. Thirdly, I am very busy. Didn’t you hear the operator?”

“Your majesty, an asteroid is about to hit Earth. If the Earth is destroyed, so is the Infinite Realms. Isn’t there anything we can give you so you can destroy it,” British Trench Coat Dude asked.

“Wait, are we in space,” Danny asked as he looked out a window. He could see Earth from the window, “That is so cool.”

He turned to the dude, ignoring everyone else, “Let me come up here and stare at the Earth once a week, and you have a deal.”

“Deal,” he said without missing a beat.

“Constantine,” freaking Superman yelled, “You can’t promise to let an unknown come to our hidden base!”

“Oh, really, boy scout, because last I checked, you can’t hit this asteroid, so bugger off!”

“Great! Deal made? Let me get in more comfortable attire.”

Danny got into his Danny Phantom form. He heard a choking behind him and then his name, “Danny?!”

Danny turned to look at Batman. Aw, that’s what he forgot.

After Danny got rid of the asteroid, Bruce decided it was important to interrogate him in front of his coworkers.

(How did Danny forget Batman was part of the Justice League?)

“So the Ghost King is your kid. You sure know how to raise them, Batsy,” sad trench coat guy said.

Bruce ignored him.

“How could you forget to tell me you’re the Ghost King?”

There was silence between one of the Green Lanterns started laughing. They quieted when Bruce glared at him.

“Look, it’s not like I did it on purpose. When I got to the manor, I checked my checklist but hadn’t even put it down. Sometimes even I forget I’m the Ghost King,” he defended himself while crossing his arms.

“How did this even happen?”

“Evil Ghost King sucked my town into another dimension. I beat him in one-on-one combat, and the king is decided through right of conquest. Once I beat him, I was next in line, and here I am,” he said while finishing his explanation with jazz hands.

“That explains nothing,” Batman said, sounding a bit hysterical.

Danny rolled his eyes; he didn’t know how to make it clearer.

“Okay, but I still get to come up once a week, right?”

Everybody in the manor was frantic after Danny disappeared. They had tried getting hold of Bruce, but he hadn’t answered.

It wasn’t until Bruce showed up with Danny in the Batcave did everyone calm down.

Bruce ignored the questions from his other children and sat heavily on the chair by the Batcomputer. The man looked a bit broken.

“What happened to him,” Jason asked.

“Oh, he found out I’m the Ghost King.”

The bats in the cave screeched as everyone yelled, “YOU’RE THE WHAT?!”

- When she talks to other people she sometimes says Dad. Usually to professors. Strangers and school friends.

- To her one of the reasons she doesn't call him Dad much is cause she correlates "Dad" with her bio dad and disappointment. To her and the other kids

"Bruce means dad. This does change eventually as she's around him more. Especially with some of the others calling him dad

- One of her college professors went on a rant about the rich and how they should burn and included Bruce on the list and it pissed her off cause she knows Bruce didn't really care about the money and if he didn't use it to help others he would rather not have it

- He started singling her out after he realized she was affiliated with Bruce. She kept her calm and asked him how much he donated to charity. The professor tried to claim Bruce only did it for tax purposes but he gave away way more then he would ever get back so moot point.

- One time one of her civilian friends lost their scholarship due to some technicality and Stephanie was thinking of getting a job to help and was talking to Tim about it. And by the next day it was fully paid. She thought Tim did it. But Bruce did it. He overheard them talking and got it done. Tim was so confused cause he knows he didn't and realized what Bruce did.

- Bruce wasn’t a man of many words, and she helped him realize that if he just got better at talking he would have a better relationship with his kids. She actually pushed him to therapy.

- One time she was hit hard and went down. She was out for a week. They weren’t sure if she was gonna make it. Bruce. Tim and Cass took turns sitting by her side. Bruce begged that if anyways listening to please save her.

my powers are pain illusion and inducement, so i can make others feel genuine pain or just create an illusion where they believe they feel pain, but in reality they don’t, but i suppose the pain is real for them either way. mental manipulation, psychic immunity so no one can read my mind, mess with it etc. + telepathy and telekinesis cause why not.

i’m 20, living at the compound, morgan is in the picture she said seven and i already love her, like i cannot wait to babysit that little witch, she likes science and math and all that, got that after dad aka the tony stark yall. oooh and i have a fc maddie philips / cate dunlap from gen v (gif at the end)

Jason slept until late into the night, tossing and turning, mumbling something about his mother. After a few minutes, he sat up with a start and called out for her. Jason took a breath once he realized where he was, but seeing Bruce in the room startled him so terribly that he hit the back of his head on the headboard. "Ouch!" Jason whined. Bruce jumped up from his chair and checked the back of Jason's head. "I'm okay, you just—. You scared me," Jason reassured him. Bruce relaxed his shoulders. "I've only had one other child in my life, and —objectively speaking— I was terrible with him. I made a lot of mistakes with how I—. That's not your problem. I'm oversharing, aren't I?" Bruce smiled an awkward half-smile.

"It's okay... Does your other kid not like you or something?" Jason asked. "Dick's his name... Right?" Bruce nodded.

"How do you feel?" Bruce asked. Jason nodded. "You—." "Mr. Blood went out, didn't he?" Jason interrupted. Bruce nodded his head. "You're probably not doing as bad—. Well, I'll show you." Jason carefully pulled out the small stack of photos from his mother's diary and looked through them until he found one of himself and Catherine when he was four. He handed it to Bruce. "How'd you end up in the hospital?" Bruce asked. "I met the third guy once, I think. Willis. He babysat me for a couple of days when my mom was sick. He gave me a watch. I tried to sell it to buy food when I got older, and do you know the pawn shop owner had me arrested?" Jason chewed his lip as he held back tears. He took a deep breath. "I never thought that he could be my dad. Why would I? I mean... What kind of dad offers you a watch and then beats you so badly that you end up in the hospital for a week and a half because you won't take it?" Jason turned his head and wiped his tears away with one swipe of his sleeve. "Jason—." "Before that happened, he was nice to me. So nice that after my mom came home and called 9-1-1 and I woke up in the hospital, I lied to the police. My mom told me to tell the truth, and I wouldn't. I didn't want to get him in trouble. I'd never seen my mom that mad at a guy before... I think that's the only time I was ever afraid of her. Looking back, I think she was hurt because she trusted him. She'd only ever left me with him. Nobody else. Ever," Jason let out a shaky breath, "I wished I had told the truth when she was alive." "He's dead," Bruce revealed without thinking. Jason pulled his knees up to his chest and swallowed hard. "Did you—? Did—?" "No. No, absolutely not. I don't kill anyone," Bruce reassured Jason. "I wasn't supposed to tell you that until Jason—. Mr. Blood got back. And if you said all that to me because you're afraid of me, you don't have to worry." "I didn't tell you because of that. I told you because I couldn't remember it until now, and I wanted you to know the bar isn't all that high for me," Jason whispered. Bruce sat at the edge of Jason's bed. "You're gonna stay here even after I go back to sleep, right?" Bruce nodded. Jason lay down, and Bruce pulled his blankets up. "I feel like I should say something comforting," Bruce whispered. Jason shook his head. "Can you tell me a story instead?" Jason asked. Bruce nodded and moved to sit in the chair across the room, but Jason grabbed his arm. "I just shared something about my childhood with you. You don't have to go." Bruce nodded and lay back.

"Okay... Are you too old for fairy stories?" Bruce asked. Jason nodded. "You want something real or a metaphor?" "A metaphor," Jason whispered. Bruce settled in and took a breath. "There used to be a strawberry patch at the center of the world. It was the first of its kind, and since then, there's never been another like it... In that strawberry patch lived all sorts of creatures. Snails and frogs, cats and dogs, but most importantly, birds... And as I said, the strawberries were special. The seeds were no ordinary seeds. "The seeds weren't seeds at all. They were jewels that granted wishes. Their heart's deepest desires were just a bite away, but there was a catch, as there always is... They could only make one wish a day. There were a variety of birds that lived near the strawberry patch. A starling, a magpie, and a jackdaw were among the few. "The first to make a wish was a goldfinch. The goldfinch ate a single strawberry and wished to be warriors. They fiercely protected their own but often succumbed to bouts of cruelty. "The magpie came next. It had stars in its eyes and wished for riches. However, the concept of wealth was subjective, and the magpie's eye for things that glittered in the sun proved to be too much for the little bird—." Jason breathed heavily before throwing an arm over Bruce. "Jason? I never told you what the jackdaw wished for," Bruce whispered, "The jackdaw wished for nothing... And in turn, he got everything..." ufhuashdsjk I have this AU that's been stuck in my head for the past two weeks and it WILL NOT go away.

So anyways, it's ironstrange. and it's a highschool AU. but not in the way you think. Basically, some kind of bad guy turned all of the Avengers into teens (don't ask how) and Fury forces them to go to school until this thing can be reversed. For some reason, reasons I have yet to discover, Avengers are made to have at least some semblance of graduation credits (speaking of graduation credits, I got into study hall and I talked to my councilor and I am on track to graduate next year!)

In my personal AU, Donna died when Stephen was just entering his sophomore year of high school. He was bullied his entire high school life for it, even when he was a senior, people would tell him he was a murderer. Every semester, he would have notes shoved into his locker. High school was not a fun time for him.

childhood:

being born into a crime family wasn’t an easy pill to swallow. while they were a kid, akira and his mom had a very close relationship. often, most would see him attached at the hip to his mother. his dad, most of the time, was too busy dealing with deals and taking over the city to even notice when the pair weren’t at home. even going as far as being successful in kindergarten and elementary school. their parents were often told that he was a child genius. at that time, his angel would dress him like his own personal doll, and he was often called the face of the family. but at the age of eight, his mom was taken out as a hit against his family. the hit happened while he was at the park with his mom.

adolescent:

it was after his mom passed that akira realized she was the only person who truly cared for his well-being. there was no longer a reason for him to dress up nicely and go outside when going outside was the thing that killed his mother. his grades started declining, and he became more cautious of those who would approach him. his family started seeing him less and less when it came to dinner and weekly meetings. it was in moments when he shut himself in that he fell in love with computers. even while shut in, he wanted to prove himself to his father. so, when requested to dig up information on his enemies, he would use his knowledge to find out anything and everything that could be used to bring them down. it was also during this time that he struggled with his self-identity and being comfortable in his own skin.

I’ve yet to make an official post about these two but a few weeks ago, I also started designing/redesigning goons for the villains! These two are my personal favorites, Sugar and Spice! I ended up giving them both masquerade outfits to match Harvey’s for fun! I think the head goons would be able to come to rogue parties, the rogues aren’t heartless! The goons make their schemes work

Spice/Vivienne is on the left in yellow & purple and Sugar/Ainsley is on the right in blue, green, and black!

Idk if anyone is interested but I’ll put some bio info under the keep reading! :)

There is a lot so I’ll just put it in a little list

- they are siblings that were living on the streets together. They met Twoface after trying to steal from one operations & he offered them a coin flip for a job or a quick death

- Spice is younger but more mature & snarker than Sugar. They specifically manage security and keeping Twoface’s operations in order while away. She is more of a fighter (claims to be a gotham streets tough) and will defend their boss and sibling at all costs.

- Sugar was hired to manage staff but quickly became Harvey’s caretaker/secretary. They make sure he doesn’t die/is drinking enough water and sleeping on a regular schedule

- Spice’s personal weapons include dual flip out batons and dual pistols (she dual wields like Leon in re6). Sugar isn’t much of a fighter but they can wield a shotgun to save their life

-They’re both loyal to Twoface/Harvey and view him kind of like a dumb dad figure. They both tease the hell out of him and are not afraid to make comments/judgements about jobs or plans. They also both like showing him tiktoks he doesn’t understand. One month they just kept sending him your boyfriend bruce wayne pov videos with eyeball emojis and he still doesn’t understand (they both obviously know those two were more than “best friends”)

I do have some more goon designs I’m working on! I’ve done Riddler’s gang w/ Echo, Query, and Ms. Tuesday and am currently doodling out some sketches for Joker’s Punch & Judy goons
