‘You were his to protect, above all else.’
How I went from baby-girl-had-a-dildo-and-a-plan to sobbing into a pillow, wailing for my panther, pretty much sums up my relationship with this series, and just about all of Chelsea’s stories.
Because it’s maddening how she writes and we yearn for things we didn’t even know we wanted, like Billy Russo transforming into a panther and presumably crushing the marrow of whoever took the Reader’s necklace.
Someone had dared to hurt you, and thought they were capable of getting away with it.
Billy needed to send a message.
One that would not be misunderstood.
First of all, that declaration is sexy af. Second, how dare you make it sound sexy af @becauseicantthinkwritings
This is the hurt-comfort trope I would sell a kidney for, where the aloof partner rips apart whoever dared harm their beloved, their mate, that one person on this sad, sorry earth that they’ll ever be soft around (in secret). Yes, I’m on my knees and I’ll take more of that, please.
“You’re… not…just a panther, are you?”
We badly, very badly, want these two to be together (and, for the love of god, finally fuck), but Chelsea is telling us to be patient, more patient probably than we’ve ever been. We might be forgetting that there is more than one hunter on the prowl, and Billy has yet to find out just how much closer he’ll need to keep watch.

Warnings: Angst, anxiety, implications of murder.

You twitch your toes, waiting till there's a knock on your door.
Blinking, you open it carefully, trying not to fiddle with your fingers as the anxiety threatens to overwhelm you.
"Thank you for this." You say, looking up at Billy, before looking away.
He's dressed in his work clothes- suit and tie, looking at you so carefully that you feel like he can see so much more of you that you'd care to admit.
"I'm glad you called." Billy says, voice low, taking a step back to let you lock up, "Didn't like the idea of you trying to go down there alone."
You let out a dry laugh.
"I tried, but I just couldn't do it." You say to him.
"You look like you haven't slept." His voice is gentle, like a welcome hand on your back, rubbing circles to calm you.
You smile sadly at him.
"I haven't- I- I can't-"
"It's okay, we'll figure it out." Billy says, reassuring you that nothing you're going through is abnormal in any way.
You reach for his hand, squeezing it gently.
"Thank you." You say, trying to express your earnesty, glad to have someone as understanding as him with you.
His car is... sublime.
Gorgeous, sleek in its aerodynamic design.
You're not too familiar with car models, but you catch the BMW logo on the front of the black car, smiling as he opens the passenger door for you.
You settle yourself in, admiring the supple interior, and the simplicity of it.
"Honestly, this is not what I thought you drove." You confess to him when he climbs into the car.
The engine absolutely purrs to live, revving beautifully, tingling your eardrums with the low sound.
"What did you think I drove?" Billy asks, raising an eyebrow at you.
It suddenly made you aware that you may have been about to tell him you thought he was extravagant.
"Okay, I just realised what I thought you drove made zero sense and I would like to retract my comment."
He grins at you, deviousness leeching out of his every pore. It makes you simmer with delight.
"No way, tell me."
"Well, I thought someone like you- CEO of a company that is- drove what other CEOs of companies tend to drive."
"An Aston? Lamborghini? Ferrari?"
"All of the above?" You supply with a light hint of an apology in your tone.
He laughs, and the sound is nothing short of divine. You wanted to memorize the funniest jokes just to hear him laugh again.
"I'm not that ostentatious. I run a security company, being unseen is my ally, and luxury cars like that are just impractical."
"I guess that makes sense." You mumble, deep in thought.
"But I have to admit that I did buy a Royce the first year my company lifted off."
"Of course you did." You tease lightly, with no malicious intent behind your words.
He gives you a little lift of his shoulder.
"It's the little things sometimes."
How easy talking to him was, so very dangerous in so many ways, you were always just two steps shy of flirting with him. He made talking to him so simple, made you forget about ever being anxious in the first place.
You were definitely in trouble.
.
"That's it?" You asked when the officer returns your bag to you, informing you that the items were left behind when the suspects realised they were being chased.
"What about my jewellery?" You ask, heart squeezing in your chest.
She gives you an apologetic shake of her head.
"Jewellery is usually a lot harder to recover, it might have already been pawned off. We'll keep an eye out, but I wouldn't get my hopes up."
Your heart sinks. You nod, thanking her before turning and walking back to a waiting Billy.
"I got my laptop and wallet back." You murmur, avoiding his dark eyes, trying very hard not to cry in front of your boss.
"That's everything?" He asks, "Do you want to go home?"
You swallow, nodding quickly and walking past him.
You hold this awful, rotten feeling inside of you all the way back to his car, but when you get in, and you close the door, the tears refuse to be ignored any longer.
Billy says your name with concern when he notices you crying.
You let out a shaky sob.
"I'm sorry." You whimper, pressing your face into your hands to hide from him as you weep pathetically.
It takes all of a second before he's pulling you against him, your bodies at an odd angle to allow you to fit against each other with the centre console of the car in the way.
"What is it?" He asks, "What's wrong?"
You lean against him, hands gripping at his bicep in an attempt to pull comfort from him.
"I knew the odds of getting the necklace back but I was hoping it wouldn't be true." You start, reaching into your bag and finding your packet of tissues hidden in the lining.
"I just- I know it's not that important in the scheme of things but-" you sigh, "-I really loved that necklace."
"It is important. If you loved it, then it's important. Don't lose hope, you can still get it back." Billy tries to soothe, his warm breath on your cheek, so maddeningly close.
You cry against him a little bit more.
"It just made me feel safe. After- after every terrible thing that happened. It made me feel like I was being protected by something much bigger than myself. But-" You shudder out a sad breath, "-not even that is true."
His arms tighten around you.
.
He wants to make so many promises to you in that moment.
Billy wants to promise that he'll do everything he can to keep you safe, that he's here no matter what. He breathes in your scent and squeezes his eyes shut and hates that he'd given someone the opportunity to lay their hands on you.
His sweet girl didn't deserve this, and Billy was going to do everything in his power to get you that necklace back.
You were his to protect, above all else.
.
You fall asleep on the drive back to your place, a sudden bout of traffic turning the ten minute drive into thirty minutes.
There's just something about being around him, that slows every rushing thought in your head, you find yourself so relaxed in his presence and before you know it, you're asleep in minutes. The events of the last two days have taken a toll, and you sleep so deeply that you don't register a single thing.
You don't wake, not even when he picks you up, scooping you into his arms so easily that you would be amazed if you weren't asleep.
He places you in bed, tugging your shoes off, before dimming the lights.
You only truly wake up, when you hear your bedroom door open, an indication that he was leaving.
"Billy." You call out for him, fighting to sit up, rubbing one eye to regain your focus.
He's paused at the door, looking back at you.
"Can you stay a little longer? Just until I get to sleep?" You let out a little sigh, "I've asked a lot of you already, so you can say no, I won't hold it against you. But I just-"
"I get it." Billy says, interrupting. He turns from the door, moving confidently to your bed, and carefully placing himself on top.
It's kind of hilarious, he's still in his finely pressed work shirt and pants, having shed his jacket and tie at some unobservable point. If you were more comfortable with him, you would have insisted that he change before lying beside you.
But your level of exhaustion is too great to worry about anything, not lying in bed beside your boss, and definitely not moving closer to him till you're almost touching but not exactly.
You look up at him with sleepy eyes, and he carefully raises a hand to your cheek to brush some of your hair out of your face.
"Thank you." You murmur, taking his hand in yours, pressing the warm appendage to your chilled cheek.
You can't help it in your sleepy state, curling closer to him, head resting in the crook of his arm.
"Just five minutes," you try to reason with him as if he's protesting in any kind of way, "Just until I get to sleep."
"I'm here." He says softly, as you drift off in the depths of his scent.
.
He stays for an hour after you fall asleep, trying very hard to talk himself into getting up and leaving.
It's just that you look so at peace, your head resting on his bicep that is half asleep with the loss of circulation.
The beast purrs, subdued, inside of him, eager to look at you, and be near to you, though he knows he shouldn't stay.
He's not taking advantage, he doesn't want you to even think he was capable. Billy has spent years curating a steady hand on his self control, only to have you rip right through it like its paper in five minutes with your bare hands and a sweet smile.
What would an eternity of this feel like? He wonders. How often would he find himself lost in your strawberry scent if he could?
His mouth waters.
He shudders in a deep breath.
You hum, drawing closer to him, he swallows when your palm connects with his clothed chest.
His eyes fall on the scratches at your neck, he tilts his head, studying it with careful eyes. He memorises the look of them, the way they make him feel. He latches onto the emotion, plants a seed of rage inside himself, watered by the beast's thirst for retribution.
Someone had dared to hurt you, and thought they were capable of getting away with it.
Billy needed to send a message.
One that would not be misunderstood.
.
You wake up alone.
Groaning angrily after a night of such peaceful sleep only to wake up and realized that he'd left just like you'd asked him to.
Was it too much to wish that he'd stayed? That he couldn't help himself and fell asleep beside you?
Of course it was, and it was a very dangerous, no good thought.
He was your boss, he was in control of your salary, you shouldn't be pining over him like some lovesick puppy.
The lines between personal and professional had been painfully blurred since the moment you'd started working for him, maybe even before, and yet still you wished it would blur farther.
What would waking up next to him be like? Hell, what would seeing him asleep be like? Would the harsh lines of his face soften till you couldn't tell his age? Would he make little sounds as he slept?
And then the scariest thought of all comes to mind.
Did he even want that with you?
Probably not, considering that he's left your 'Thank you again for last night' text on fucking read.
It was worse than not reading it. It had been hours since the read receipt was activated and yet still, he hadn't responded.
Maybe he was busy, you try to not let it get to you, deciding to go through your laptop and see if anything was tampered with in the meantime.
You still find difficulty in leaving your apartment. You try for hours, sitting at your open front door in an attempt to get used to the idea of it.
Everytime you try to leave your heart starts racing, your body shakes, all you can think about is what terrible fate would befall you next.
Thankfully, after a quick call to your therapist, she suggests starting smaller, with an open window.
It's how you end up on your balcony, sitting next to Dani's gift, soaking in the sunlight.
This was nice, this was good, outside was not something to be scared of.
But facing Billy's home- just reminded you of him.
Still left on read, you drop your phone angrily.
What did you want? A romantic relationship with him? That wasn't sustainable at all. You should definitely just avoid him, the way he was no doubt avoiding you.
Your hand spreads over your bare throat and you let out a sad sigh.
You wished you could feel safe again.
When night comes, you can't sleep once more. There's no Billy here to put you at ease, nothing to make you feel safe and warm and protected. The worries in your head are too loud, there's an agony to not being able to relax in your own home.
Amy is sympathetic to your plight, staying on the phone with you as long as possible until she inevitably falls asleep, and you're left alone once more with a world of thoughts.
You hadn't gotten any other type of communication from whoever had taken that photo of you. Had they given up? Or lost you after you changed both your address and your job?
Something in the back of your head, maybe fear, or just past experience, told you that things probably wouldn't be over that easily.
A sound catches your attention, as you gaze off into your room deep in thought, echoing through the apartment before it reaches you.
You raise your head, your heart pounding as you realise it's coming from the front door.
Was someone trying to break in? You reach for your phone, trying to be as quiet as possible as you climb off your bed.
Who should you call? Billy? No, it was 2am you should see what it was first.
As you get closer, you register that it sounds like soft scratching, a very strange sound for a potential thief to be making.
"Hello?" You call through the door, perplexed at the sound.
When there's a low rumble back at you, you take a deep breath and unlock the door quickly, pulling it open with a rush.
You squeak in surprise.
Midnight black fur, golden brown eyes looking up at you.
The panther, sitting patiently at your door.
"What the hell?" You say in disbelief, taking a step back, hands covering your mouth in shock.
There was a large beast sitting at your door.
The panther, somehow taking this as an invitation, stands, and walks slowly toward you.
You can't believe it, was this a prank or had you gone insane? How had a dangerous animal of this size gotten into your apartment building in the first place?
You step backwards as it approaches, taking slow steps as if it's somehow trying to put you at ease.
Your body smacks into the side of your couch and you stiffen as it gets close enough to touch you.
A soft head bumps against your thigh, your mouth parts with shock at the greeting.
There's a little purring sound it makes as it rubs its head over your thigh gently, eerily similar to what it did the last time you encountered it.
Last time...
Before it had saved you from a knife wielding serial killer.
"It's you." You say, in absolute surprise, your body building a strange cocktail of shock and calm inside of you.
The panther rumbles in something akin to agreement as if to say, 'yes, hello again.'
You reach for the large cat, shaky hands smoothing into the butter soft fur on its head, after a moment, when you realise there's no immediate threat, you let out a laugh of surprise.
It closes its eyes, nuzzling easily into your palms.
"Hey pretty boy." You murmur eagerly, speaking to him in a light tone that you can tell he loves based on the way he continues to purr, a deep vibration against your palms as you bring your face closer to his to rub your head against his affectionately.
He pulls away after a second, and you watch with an open mouth as he casually walks his way deeper into your aparment.
You move to follow before remembering that your front door is still open.
After hastily shutting your front door, you follow after where you saw him last, finding that your bedroom door has been pushed open at the end of your hallway.
There you find the large predator, lying on your bed.
You approach a little cautiously, very confused about what was going on.
He drops his head, and from his mouth, something shiny and gold falls onto your bedsheets.
The panther looks up at you eagerly as you move closer to investigate.
It was your necklace.
You gasp, reaching for it, picking it up to examine the little pendant eagerly, a little symbol of the large beast in front of you, dangling from a delicate gold chain.
You don't hesitate, clasping it around your neck excitedly before moving to your little vanity to examine yourself in the mirror.
The panther had brought your necklace back.
The panther... was in the city with you.
You turn to study the predator on your bed, and it looks back at you in kind, its tail twitching in what you assume is contentment on your bed.
How had this panther gotten all this way without being caught? Had someone trained it to bring this to you?
You tilt your head, and blink in astonishment when the panther also tilts its head to mimic you. When you straighten your head, it does the same.
You didn't think this was just another trained animal, there was something in its eyes, an understanding that you weren't familiar with.
You were probably going crazy, hallucinating, or maybe this was a dream.
You look down, counting your fingers. Not a dream.
This was real.
There was a real panther in your bed.
Or was it?
"Can you... understand me?" You ask, almost absurdly to the animal.
Its answer is to flop onto its side with a big huff.
"Is that a yes?"
Another huff of breath.
You approach the beast slowly, sitting at the edge of your bed, reaching out to touch one big paw, its fur so soft you're almost addicted to the way it feels.
"You're..... not.... jut a panther are you?"
A flick of its tail, the flex of its paw to show off the very sharp claws hidden between toes. You retract your hand at the sight of such a deadly appendage.
"Are you... also a human?" You ask, aware of how certifiably insane you sounded.
What other explaination was there? How had a panther brought you back a necklace? How had it known how to get to you?
The beast takes a deep breath, letting out another sharp huff.
You gaze away for a long time, your brain scrambled with too many thoughts, too many rushing ideas and reactions.
After a second you look back into its golden eyes.
"That was a yes?"
A huff.
You gulp, turning away, sitting at the edge of the bed trying to process the information given to you.
Shapeshifters? Shapeshifters were a thing?
"Oh god." You say, almost sick to your stomach at the implication.
As if it senses your distress, the panther crawls closer, and rests its large head onto your lap. Automatically, you raise a hand to stroke its head. Almost immediately, an arrangement of soft purring starts up, its eyes closing easily..
You can't help smiling, hands roaming over its ears, watching them with amusement as they flicker and twitch.
"You're kind of cute." You say to it- to him.
His response is to let out a soft sigh.
You observe him, admiring the way he looks, eyes drawn to the peek of teeth jutting out from his mouth.
"You're kind of scary too."
He peeks an eye open to look at you.
"Will you show me who you are?" You ask.
It's the wrong thing to say, because the panther's response is to pull away from you.
He stands on your bed, giving you his back and lying down facing away from you.
"Message received." You mumble.
You sit and stare at his back, raising your hand to touch the pendant around your neck, thinking quietly about everything.
The situation is absurd, beyond that even, there's no words to describe what you're going through. You can't seem to figure out why you're so calm, as if there was a puzzle piece in your head that has always been there, but just sitting in the wrong spot.
Now, things are just clicking into place, making more and more sense, but also showing you a side of the world that you didn't even know existed.
You feel your body overheat with the amount of thinking you're doing, you're not sure how you can even continue to exist with this knowledge-
You don't even realise you're unable to breathe until you wheeze out a gasp.
The panther, hearing just a single sound of distress, turns to face you quickly.
The bed dips as he stands and approaches.
"It's a lot." You whisper, looking up at the predator, tears blurring your vision.
His furry head bumps your cheek, an attempt to soothe you through your little freak out.
You feel him nudge you into a reclined position, and you let him, because you're too caught up in your shock to process anything really happening around you.
The panther grips your duvet in his teeth, and pulls it up till it covers your shoulders.
Slipping under it beside you, you study your hands intently, your focus.only breaking when he pops his furry head as close to your face as possible without touching.
You pause your self destructive thinking to study him, hand automatically trailing from the top of his head down his back.
It calms you, and after a few moments like that, you suck in an easy breath.
"You saved my life." You say to him, watching his ear twitch as you glide your hands over them. He doesn't react, merely looking at you while you're deep in thought.
You rest beside him, eyes drooping involuntarily, trying to stay awake and memorise the look of this animal in your bed with every sense you can.
"Thank you." Is the last thing you whisper quietly, voice just above a whisper, burying your head into his neck, admiring the silky feeling of fur on your cheek as you drift off right to sleep.
When you wake up in the morning, you almost think it was all a dream. That is, until you raise a hand to your neck, and you feel the warm gold necklace dangling from your neck.
Maybe you weren't as unprotected as you thought.

part one: the call
[series masterlist] | [part two]
Tumblr media
pairing: billy russo x fem!reader
summary: a ghost from the past has returned.
warnings: swearing, angst, mentions of murder, creepy sleazy boss & brief mentions of sexual harassment, billy being the cocky lil shit he is
word count: 3.8k
a/n: ahhhhhhh! i've been working on this for the past few months & i'm so excited to finally put it out. I really really really hope y'all enjoy it. this is only 6 parts, so it will not be a slow burn. it's gonna get intense fast. also, there is an oc name mentioned, but it's just for the backstory of the plot. this is still a self insert, & y/n will be used for the rest of the story! without further ado, let's get this spooky slutty season started. as always, feedback is welcomed/appreciated!
This was a bad dream. It had to be. There was no other logical way to explain why you were currently sitting in an interrogation room at a precinct, being questioned by police about a man that you had gone on a blind date with not even twelve hours ago, who had been found stabbed to death in an alley two blocks away from your apartment building.
It was just a nightmare. It wasn’t real. All you had to do was open your eyes, and this would all go away. You knew how to deal with nightmares. You knew how to escape them. You’d been running and hiding from them your whole life. All you had to do was open your eyes, and the sinister shadows wouldn't be able to sink their claws into your subconscious to trap you in the dark. Just open them, and this will all disappear.
Just open your eyes.
“Miss Y/L/N?”
The detective’s voice swiftly brought you out of the trance of denial your mind had wandered into, and your eyes snapped open. To your dismay, nothing changed. The two detectives were still sitting across the table from you, the metal cold against your sweaty palms, one eying you warily while the other regarded you with a more sympathetic stare. The chair beneath you was still stiff and uncomfortable, the light above was still a harsh shade of artificial brightness, and the large piece of glass to your right that reflected your terrified expression still made you feel unsettled knowing there was someone watching you just on the other side of that two-way pane.
“I…I’m sorry. What was the question?”
The waver in your voice gave away how shaken you were by the whole ordeal. When the police had shown up at your office an hour ago stating they needed to bring you in for questioning regarding the murder of Adam Mercer, shock had instantly shot through your entire nervous system, chilling the very blood in your veins with an icy sense of dread.
This was the kind of thing you heard about happening in the news. A tragedy that struck someone else’s life. A nameless, faceless person whose existence you were unaware of. It was the kind of thing nobody ever thought could happen to them, until it did.
The older detective, the more commiserating one, had said they thought it was some kind of mugging gone wrong. It wasn’t an uncommon occurrence in New York City, unfortunately. The dazzling city was also dangerous. But since you were the last person to see Adam alive, they needed as much information as you could give them about the last few hours of his life. For some odd reason, it filled you with a sense of guilt that his final moments had been spent with you, a complete stranger, instead of someone else.
Adam had been a really nice guy. He’d seemed to enjoy the date. He’d thrown his head back and laughed like a little kid at a stupid joke you’d told. He’d flashed you a charming smile when you’d nearly knocked your glass of wine over into your pasta. He’d animatedly told you about his family’s tradition of selecting a perfect tree together at a local Christmas farm back in his home state of Jersey every holiday season. He’d been sweet and gentle and respectful. But had he been happy?
Had he succumbed to the inevitable fate of death at his attacker’s hands without a fight? Did he even see it coming? Had he had that moment, where everything flashed before his eyes, all his mistakes, all his regrets, all the would’ve, could’ve, should'ves?
You knew what that feeling was like. You’d been there, once before. Nothing makes you want to live more than Death deciding to show up at your door and pick the lock with its cold, bony fingers to collect a bounty early.
Thirteen times. Adam had been brutally stabbed thirteen times. It was excessive for a mugging. It felt more personal, that kind of anger and passion. As morbid as the thought was, you hoped the first one had killed him. You hoped he that went into shock swiftly and bled out just as fast so he hadn’t suffered through the next twelve.
Holding his pen in his right hand, the tip hovering over his worn yellow pocket sized notepad, Detective Craven repeated his question.
“How well did you know Adam?”
“I…I didn’t. I’d never met him until last night. My roommate um…she knew him. She’s the one who set us up.”
“Your roommate being Miss Riley?”
Detective Williamson had his hands clasped together in front of him on the table. He lifted one of his brows while waiting for you to answer his question. Swallowing thickly, you gave a faint nod of your head and dropped your hands to your lap, fidgeting with them under the table anxiously.
“Yeah, Annie.”
Detective Craven cleared his throat, reading over his notes with his honey brown eyes as he continued his questioning.
“Now, you said he picked you up at your apartment around eight-thirty, the two of you had dinner at Maureen’s, and then he dropped you back off at your place around eleven. He left right after that?”
“Yeah, he…um…we said goodnight, he said he’d like to see me again, and then he told me he’d call me tomorrow.”
“He didn’t come up to your apartment at all?”
Detective Williamson didn’t bother hiding the skepticism in his voice, or the implication behind his words, his icy blue eyes locked on you in an almost unsettling way.
“No, he dropped me off at the front steps of the building.”
“And you didn’t see where he went when he left? Didn’t give him one last look after a goodnight kiss?”
A flash of annoyance broke through your stunned disbelief at the invasive second question. You hadn’t said anything about a kiss. The younger detective seemed to be fishing for a crack in your alibi for some reason, trying to catch you in a lie that didn’t exist. A flicker of defensiveness crept into your voice when you spoke.
“No, after we said goodnight, I went inside.”
Before Detective Williamson could ask another thinly veiled judgmental question, Detective Craven stood up, shooting his partner a silencing look. Glancing down at you with a warmer expression, the older man gestured towards the door with his hand.
“That’s all the questions we have for now. We appreciate you speaking with us. I’ll walk you out.”
The precinct was bustling. Various murmurs of conversation buzzed in your ears. People were breezing past in every direction, but amidst the sea of chaos, you spotted a familiar head of blonde hair. Annie jumped up from the chair she’d been sitting in and forced her way through the waves of people, not once muttering an “excuse me” or waiting for someone to move out of her way. A true New Yorker.
Detective Craven placed his hand on your shoulder to get your attention and held out a white business card that had all of his information on it in embossed black text.
“If you can think of anything else that might be helpful, don’t hesitate to call.”
Taking the card into your hand, you looked up at him and forced a tight smile onto your lips, giving him a faint nod of your head.
“Of course.”
After giving your shoulder a light squeeze, Detective Craven gave Annie a nod of acknowledgement before turning and disappearing back inside the interrogation room. As soon as you turned to face her, Annie’s face contorted into an expression of pity and concern. She immediately pulled you into a hug, and it took everything in you not to crumble under the weight of your own overwhelming emotions.
“Come on, let’s go home.”
»»——— ———««
Annie had swiftly shot down your plan to go back to work before the words could even fully leave your lips. All you wanted to do was dive head first into a distraction, to immerse yourself fully in the piles of paper and black ink sitting on your desk that were waiting to transport you to another universe and into the body of someone else whose world hadn’t just been flipped upside down. Again.
Instead, she brought you back to your shared apartment, uncorked a bottle of wine for each of you, and did her best to help you sort through the shock and the ripples it caused within you. She didn’t understand that your instinct was to run and hide, and that was because she didn’t understand you, not really. But that wasn’t her fault. She could only understand what you allowed her to, and there were huge pieces of yourself you kept hidden from her and everyone else beneath carefully crafted layers.
Pieces you were not ready to uncover and face yet.
The following morning when you showed up to work at the publishing house, it felt like everyone was looking through you instead of at you. Everyone had heard what happened, had seen the two detectives escorting you out of your office, but none of your coworkers said a word. Not to your face, anyway. You could feel the weight of their lingering stares, their hushed whispers floating past your ear like a cold autumn breeze. It was a familiar territory you’d already escaped once.
To your relief, you hadn’t been harassed by reporters wanting an exclusive on the story. Unfortunately, crimes like what had happened to Adam were a dime a dozen in this city. You felt guilty for feeling grateful for that, but not having cameras shoved in your face to be broadcast on news outlets that circulated on social media worked in your favor. You had come to the city that millions of people called home for a reason. You came here to disappear, to be invisible. The last thing you needed was to be thrust into a spotlight that would attract attention you’d gone to great lengths to avoid.
In the midst of trying to drown out the white noise of suspicious gossip and ignoring the way the stares penetrating the glass windows of your office made your insides twist in dreaded knots, you almost missed the sound of a knock at your door. Lifting your head, you were met with the sight of the last person you ever expected to see standing in the doorway.
Billy Russo.
He was significantly more dressed up than the last time you’d seen him, looking every bit the illustrious CEO, although that signature arrogant smirk of his seemed to be missing for once. His tall frame was covered in a deep navy blue three piece suit with a crisp white dress shirt beneath the matching tie, a dark charcoal gray thick coat layering over top. His raven hair was gelled back perfectly, just like it was that night at the bar, but the gleam of mischief in his dark brown eyes was absent. As he stood in the doorway of your office, nearly taking up the entire frame, he seemed to be looking at you in an expression of something that resembled concern.
“Billy.”
The surprise in your hushed tone rang clear in the quiet of your office. Billy removed the black leather gloves from his hands, slipping them into the pocket of his overcoat.
“This a bad time?”
Your lips parted slightly as your eyes flickered down to the open manuscript on your desk before looking up at him again.
“Um…no. No…I…what are you doing here?”
Billy took a step forward into your office and quietly closed the door behind himself.
“Just came by to check on ya.”
“Check on me?”
“Derek told me what happened.”
Billy kept his eyes locked on you as he explained the reasoning behind his unexpected visit, watching you closely.
Derek Becker was a friend of Billy’s. They had served in the military together, and he now worked for Billy’s private security company, Anvil. Derek also happened to be Annie’s boyfriend. A few months back, the two of them had tried to set you and Billy up. The four of you had gone out to a bar for drinks, but instead of hitting it off with Billy, you’d found him narcissistic, and you’d had no interest in pursuing anything romantic with him. Although, based on how he had interacted with you that night, it had seemed like he hadn’t been looking for anything romantic either, just a night of physical release.
Because Annie was your best friend and roommate, and Derek was often around, you’d seen Billy a few times since then, but it wasn’t like the two of you were friends. Needless to say, the fact that he’d made the trip to your office to check on your mental wellbeing was a bit of a shock.
“I’m fine.”
Billy arched one of his dark brows, and the ghost of a smile graced the edge of his lips.
“You almost sounded like you meant that.”
You opened your mouth to fire back a retort, to protest the underlying accusation in his words, but your defense got stuck in your throat. Seeing the look on your face, Billy’s faint amusement quickly disappeared, and he let out a deep exhale through his nose as he took a few steps closer towards your desk.
“I’m sorry, I’m not here to be a dick. But it’s alright if you’re not fine. Normal people wouldn’t be fine in this situation.”
“Normal people?”
Billy stared down at you for a moment silently before turning his head to look out the glass window of your office, rubbing his large palm over his mouth and perfectly trimmed beard. Looking down at you again, a flicker of amusement was back in his gaze, and there was a hint of a smile on his lips.
“I got a real good habit of sayin’ the wrong thing with you, huh?”
The self deprecation you detected in his smooth voice surprised you. You’d never heard him say anything that didn’t have an undertone of superiority or didn’t sound prideful. The guy standing in front of you wasn’t acting like the cocky rich playboy you were used to, and it made you wonder for a second if that’s what it really was; an act. A flicker of newfound curiosity had you wondering if Billy’s persona was as carefully crafted as your own.
“I don’t know if I’d call that a good habit.”
Billy let out a puff of air past his lips, giving a faint shake of his head in faux disapproval.
“Kickin’ a man while he’s down? That’s ruthless, sweetheart.”
“I think your ego can survive being knocked down a few pegs.”
Billy let out a deep chuckle at that, and his lips spread into a wolfish grin.
“Between you and me, it’s a bit more fragile than you think.”
You looked at him in faux shock, an overly dramatic gasp leaving your lips.
“What? You mean the ego you overcompensate for with designer clothes and fancy cars is delicate?”
Billy rolled his eyes and held his hand up in a gesture of surrender.
“Alright, alright. I get it. You’ve kept me humble enough for one day.”
To your surprise, and to Billy’s, you smiled. It was small, but it was real and genuine. Billy’s impromptu visit was the last thing you expected to provide a lighthearted distraction to the whirlwind of chaos that had been plaguing you since yesterday.
As much as you hadn’t been able to stand him the night you met him, you couldn’t deny that the banter between you came effortlessly. Within the first five minutes of meeting him, you’d called him a ‘self obsessed dumbass’, and instead of getting offended, he’d smiled. It had quickly launched into a battle of wits, who could come up with the more clever retort faster, and it only took half an hour for Derek and Annie to become exhausted, realizing they’d made a huge mistake and miscalculated their match making skills. Billy seemed to enjoy antagonizing you, and you couldn’t resist putting a man like him in his place.
Everytime the two of you were around each other, it was exactly the same. Just an endless cycle of unrequited flirting and unrestrained snark.
“Humble is not exactly a word I’d use to describe you, Russo.”
Before Billy could respond, your office door suddenly opened and your boss walked in, glancing between you and Billy in a mixture of curiosity and barely concealed displeasure. He seemed to size him up before turning his attention towards you, not so subtly letting his eyes roam over your figure sitting behind your desk in a way that made your skin crawl, which wasn’t missed by Billy. John gestured his head in Billy’s direction.
“Another detective?”
There was clear annoyance in John’s voice that didn’t go unnoticed by you. It wasn’t lost on Billy either, and his posture seemed to go rigid.
“No. No, um…friend.”
Friend. Using that word to describe Billy tasted foreign on your tongue, but Billy didn’t appear to react to it. His dark brown eyes sized John up in a similar fashion as your boss had done to him, only Billy didn’t even attempt to hide his judgment and lack of impression.
“You know, most people knock before just walkin’ in.”
Both yours and John’s heads turned towards Billy. You were momentarily stunned by the way Billy had so casually called out John’s abrupt intrusion, and John looked visibly irritated, but he turned to face Billy with a forced smile on his mouth.
“I don’t think we’ve met. I’m John Altieri. I own this publishing house.”
Unlike John, Billy didn’t plaster a fake smile on his face for politeness, or speak in a faux friendly tone. Maintaining eye contact, he reached out to grasp John’s outstretched hand with more firmness than necessary as he shook it.
“Billy Russo. I own the building.”
That bombshell had you sitting up straighter in your chair and blinking a few times in surprise. Billy owned the building? Since when? That was definitely news to you.
The smile on John’s face faltered for a moment, but he quickly recovered and nodded, trying to appear unphased by that revelation.
“Pleasure. If you don’t mind, I have some important things to discuss with Y/N/N. In private.”
Billy outwardly looked calm and collected, but you swore you saw a flicker of anger in his dark brown eyes. He didn’t seem to like hearing your boss refer to you with a nickname that was spoken with too saccharine of a tone for a superior to speak about their employee. Not that you liked it either. John seemed to always maintain a balance on that tightrope of not being inappropriate enough to report him to HR, but being too friendly for you to not feel uncomfortable.
The bastard was clever, you’d give him that. He knew what he was doing. He was careful and cautious enough that it couldn’t be classified as textbook harassment, and could be argued as a simple misunderstanding. It made you want to stab him with your pen every time you caught him staring at your chest or your legs.
After letting a purposeful uncomfortable moment of silence pass, Billy looked down at John, that signature smirk you were used to seeing on his lips spreading slowly like a sun rising over the skyline.
“Of course.”
Turning his head to look at you again, Billy gave you a faint nod of his head and a wink.
“See ya later, sweetheart.”
Giving John one last final unimpressed and cold side eye, Billy pulled his leather gloves out of his overcoat pocket and turned to leave your office with a confident stride, leaving you and John alone in your office, and your mind swirling with a flurry of questions about Billy Russo.
»»——— ———««
By the time you walked through the front door of yours and Annie’s shared apartment, all you wanted was a hot shower and a few hours of sleep. You’d spent last night tossing and turning, haunted by the nightmare your life had once again turned into, and you felt the exhaustion in every cell of your body. Tossing your keys into the little green bowl on the side table by the front door, your footsteps were slow and sluggish as you headed down the hall on the left towards your bedroom.
Dropping your purse onto your bed, you sat down on the edge of it and slipped off your shoes, letting them drop on the hardwood floor with a soft thud. Letting out a deep exhale, you closed your eyes and hunched over, covering your face with both of your hands. The muffled noise of your ringtone began to sound from your purse. Dragging your palms down your face, you slipped one of your hands into your purse to dig for your phone blindly, absentmindedly hitting the answer button and bringing it to your ear.
“Hello?”
“Hello Y/N.”
The voice that sounded on the other end of the line wasn’t one you recognized. Pulling your phone away from your ear, you looked down at the lit screen and read “unknown caller”. A furrow creased between your brows as you brought your phone back up to your ear, running one of your hands through the roots of your hair to push it back.
“I’m sorry, who is this?”
“I guess your new boyfriend didn’t make the cut.”
Immediately your hand froze, and your eyes widened. A mix of confusion, disbelief, and anger coursed through you, but the latter won out.
“Excuse me?”
Your tone quickly shifted from one of puzzlement to pure fury as you sat up straighter. A sinister chuckle from the deep mysterious voice on the other end of the line further incensed you.
“Did you really think I’d let anyone else have you, Cassia?”
The phone slipped out of your hand, dropping to the floor below with a harsh sound that didn’t even register in your ears. A pit of dread opened up in your stomach, and fear trickled down your spine as if someone had started to trace the frozen sharp tip of an icicle along the back of your neck. Panic spread through your nervous system like a lit match to a dehydrated forest, and the four walls of your bedroom began to close in around you, squeezing the last breath of oxygen from your lungs.
No one in New York knew that name.
You’d left it back in California, along with your past. The past that had forced you to run to the other side of the country and bury every trace of who you were before. The past that you tried so hard to forget and cover up with a new identity and a new life. The past that was taunting you from the other end of the line.
The past that had come back, and murdered Adam.
He’d found you.

“Darling, my leg’s falling asleep.”
You pouted, not that he could see, and snuggled your face further into Billy’s neck. You were sitting on his lap, with your butt mostly on one of his thighs, cuddling up to his chest. He was still dressed in a full suit and had merely sat down on the couch for a drink, but you’d crawled onto his lap. You needed to feel his warmth, smell his cologne, and just be close to him.
You’d been lonely without him, spending the day feeling empty after waking up with his cock inside you. He’d left you blissed out, cum seeping between your legs. He wanted to clean you up, but he was late for work, and you assured him that you could clean yourself up.
The sound of Billy setting his glass down shook you from your memory. “Darling,” he said again. He ran his hand through your hair and pulled on it slightly.
You let him pull your head back so he could look at your face.
“Hi, Billy.” You said. You hadn’t even spoken since he’d gotten back. You just needed to feel him.
He smiled gently. “Hi, baby. I need you to get off my lap. I can’t feel my toes.” He let go of your hair and smoothed it back in place.
“Kiss first?” You bargained.
Billy grinned. “For you, of course.” He leaned in and placed a chaste kiss on your lips.
You pouted as he pulled away.
“What’s that face?” he asked. He knew what it was, though.
“Nothin’,” you said, knowing better than to push him.
You got off his lap and slid to the floor instead, resting your chin on the knee of his other leg as he stretched out the one you’d been sitting on.
“Penny for your thoughts?” You asked, looking up at his pensive face.
“Just thinking about my day.” He rubbed a hand over his beard.
“How was work?” You asked.
Billy shrugged. “It was hard to focus, with the image of my cum leaking out of your little cunt constantly flashing through my head.”
You felt your cheeks flush, but more pertinently, you felt arousal pool between your legs. You bit your lip for a moment, before you released it. “Maybe that’s something you need to see again.”
A beautiful, sexy smirk took over Billy’s lips. “Oh? You think that’ll help?”
“Maybe. Or maybe you need your cock in my mouth?” You trailed a hand up his leg and over his groin, which was starting to grow hard.
He grunted at your touch. “Maybe I need both.”
“Maybe you’ll get both, if you ask nicely.” You batted your eyelashes.
Billy’s tongue darted out to wet his lips. “I ain’t nice, though.”
“Yes, you are.” You disagreed. You continued rubbing your hand along the outline of his cock over his trousers. “You bought me those shoes I really wanted last week, even though they were full price.”
“They weren’t that expensive.” He grunted.
“They were two grand.” You scoffed.
“Pennies.” Billy quipped.
“You wanted to take care of me this morning. Almost made you late for work.” You said, still trying to tell him that he was nice.
“Well, had to do something for the excellent pussy I got.” He drawled.
You rolled your eyes.
“Well, you’re quite nice to me. You’ll never change my mind.” You said. Despite your many attempts to refuse him, Billy had been very generous to you. All the money he’d given so far had been used – in addition for pleasurable items like a new phone, or non-necessities like those designer shoes – for student loans, medical bills, and even your rent before you’d moved in with him.
You unbuttoned his pants and did your best to free his cock, but he ended up lifting his hips so he could pull his trousers and underwear down his legs instead. You pumped him a few times in your hand as you gathered some saliva in your mouth, before you let it dribble out onto his cock.
“Fuck,” Billy said.
You then lowered your head and took him in your mouth, moving your head down until your nose touched his skin. You let his cock tickle the back of your throat for a few seconds before you pulled back and started sucking on the tip. You teased the slit with your tongue and stroked him with your hand before you started bobbing your head.
Billy groaned. “Now I’m remembering why I’m so nice to you.”
The corners of your lips turned up, but you couldn’t give him the smirk you wanted to with his cock in your mouth. Billy always seemed to enjoy getting head from you, and with the way he treated and pleased you after, you didn’t mind giving it.
It was difficult to take all his length in your mouth though, so you stuck to using your hand near the base to stroke and squeeze what you couldn’t fit past your lips. Every now and then you would stop to suckle and lick at the swollen head, tasting the precum that was starting to spill.
Billy’s fingers wove into your hair, and you started to take him back in your mouth. You knew that he liked it when you struggled to take him all.
“Lemme feel that little throat choke on my dick.” He said, voice thick with arousal.
You fought your eyes from rolling back in your head as you felt yourself soak through your panties. You focused on breathing steadily through your nose, as Billy slowly thrusted his hips to fuck your mouth. Your fingers dug into the cushions of the couch, your pussy ached, but you let Billy use you. You wanted him to use you.
You were finding it harder to breathe and were getting a little overwhelmed trying to continually disengage your gag reflex, and tears had started spilling down your cheeks. When Billy noticed, he trapped his bottom lip between his teeth.
“Fuck!” Despite his roar, his rhythm slowed until he eventually pulled your mouth off him.
Your used jaw hung open for a little bit, and some drool slid off your tongue and onto your lap before you could close your mouth.
Billy delicately cupped your face and wiped away your tears. “Are you okay?” His voice was dripping with fake sympathy, but you loved it.
You tried to speak, but you could only nod. “Poor thing. Your brain’s probably leaking out of your little cunt, just like your mouth. Can’t even talk.”
You whimpered. You were so wet. Your panties were absolutely drenched.
“Fuck, baby. Get up here, lemme fuck that wet little cunt.”
Your legs were stiff from kneeling, but you sat down on the couch and pulled your dress off. Billy kissed you immediately, hands expertly ridding you of your bra and tossing it behind him, so he could twist your nipples with his fingers. One hand went up to wrap gently around the front of your throat and he pushed you so that you would lay back.
He moved his kisses down your throat to your tits, giving both of your nipples a wet suck, before he kissed down your stomach.
He looked up at you, his eyes menacingly dark with arousal. “I can smell you, baby, and I haven’t even taken off your panties.”
“So wet. Just for you, Billy.” You whined.
“Let me see.” He said. “Take ‘em off.”
You lifted your hips and pushed your panties down and pulled them off your feet. You dropped your panties to the floor, a little embarrassed at how you’d soaked through them when all you’d done was suck his cock.
Billy took one look at your glistening center before he slammed his cock inside you. He didn’t even bother to get undressed, but you felt the heat of his skin through his clothes.
You gasped hard at the intrusion. Usually, he warmed you up with his fingers, so now it felt like he was splitting you open. “Fuck, Billy... ‘s too big.” You practically sobbed. You realized you were still a little sore from this morning.
He gave one thrust, but then settled deep inside you and remained still. “What’s that?” He kissed your lips once, then your cheek, then began sucking on your neck.
“You’re too big!” You whimpered. Your hands clutched at his suit desperately in an attempt to ground yourself.
He chuckled into your neck. “You’re a big girl, you can take it. Can’t you?”
You whined as he pulled back and pressed in again. He was everywhere, it was too much, yet you wanted more.
He looked up at you and saw the single tear slipping past the corner of your eye. “Oh, darling. If you’re gonna cry, I can just stop. Don’t want to hurt the little baby with my big cock.” He kissed the trail left by your tear.
He started drawing back, but you cried out, “No!”
He held still, looking down at you with a smug smirk he was trying poorly to hide. “No? But I don’t wanna hurt your little pussy.”
“Please, don’t stop. I can take it. You made me so wet, Billy. I can take you, I promise.”
“Are you sure?” He asked, cupping your cheek sweetly.
You nodded vigorously. “Promise, I promise.”
Billy tapped your lips with two fingers, and you opened your mouth immediately. You sucked on his fingers, lathering them with your tongue before Billy pulled them out. He used them to press against your clit, and your hips arched up into him and your cunt clenched around him.
Billy grunted. “Such a tight little pussy. And it’s all mine.”
You nodded in agreement. “All yours.” You sighed, enjoying the way he was stroking your clit.
He started thrusted again slowly, but only for a few beats before he started fucking you earnestly. His hand abandoned your clit, so he could push one of your legs up against your chest and grip the arm of the couch in his other hand to allow him to rail you into oblivion.
Little sighs and moans were leaving your mouth unconsciously. You wondered if they could be heard over the sound of Billy’s skin slapping against yours. You were certain that they could, when you gave a particularly high-pitched whine as the tip of his cock hit that precious spot inside you.
Billy grunted. “Sing for me, baby. Let me take care of you. Like I always will.”
His words were what drove you to your orgasm, even more than the feeling of his thick cock dragging against your walls. Your body did indeed sing for Billy as you came.
Your vision kind of blacked out, and you could just barely hear Billy’s strained chuckle as he continued fucking you. “So gorgeous when you cum all over my cock like that. Your little cunt is fluttering all around me, baby. Feels so fucking good.”
You whined, getting a little overstimulated by his continuous thrusts. “Billy.”
“Yeah?”
“Mm, Billy.” You couldn’t say anything else.
Your vision came back into focus and there was a smirk on his lips. “I see your brain is still leaking out of your cunt.”
You opened your mouth to try to speak, but his hand when back to your clit and you gasped at the contact.
“Cum for me again, baby, then I’ll fill up your little cunt.”
Your back was arching from the attention to your clit and the building of your second orgasm. Your bare nipples brushed against the smooth fabric of his suit jacket and the peaks tightened even more at the friction. Everything was too much.
“Oh, don’t know if I can.” You mumbled.
Billy kissed your lips and slid his tongue into your mouth to tease yours for a moment. When he pulled away, he pressed his forehead against yours. “You can, baby, I know you can. You’re so good for me, aren’t you?”
You nodded, almost reluctantly. You didn’t want to do anything but please him.
“Yes, you are.” He said proudly. With that, he started rubbing your clit rapidly and he didn’t stop until your walls were convulsing once again.
“Oh, Billy, ‘m cumming.” You cried, fingers digging into his back.
“Fuck, yeah, baby.” His rhythm stuttered a little bit before he gave some hard thrusts and came inside you. His hair was out of place and fell in front of his eyes, which were squeezed shut in his bliss. He’d never been more beautiful.
You wrapped your arms tighter around him, so that he would settle against you. You needed his weight to ground you because you felt like you were going to float into space. Billy planted a few soft kisses on your cheek, jaw and behind your ear.
He pulled away then, and you groaned when his cock slipped out of you. You watched him watch his cum drip out of you. His dark eyes sparkled.
“Goddamn.” He said, his voice deeper than ever.
You bent both your knees and brought them close to your chest, opening yourself up for him. You ran your fingers gently through your folds and swiped at your entrance. You brought your fingers to your mouth, glistening with the combination of your cum and his, and sucked them between your lips. You moaned, mostly for show.
“Penny for your thoughts?” You teased.
Billy smirked. “You’re something else.”
You released your fingers, smiling up at him sweetly. “Think that will help you be less distracted tomorrow?”
He chuckled. “Definitely not.” He tucked himself back in his trousers.
You grinned.
“Come on, darling. Let’s take a bath.”
“Can’t walk.” You said simply, not even trying to move.
He shook his head, still grinning, but took you up his arms anyway.
You smacked a kiss on his cheek. “Love you, Billy.”
“Love you, too, baby.”

It was a rare, free period at Hogwarts, and students were taking advantage of the beautiful weather, enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. James, however, was experiencing a different kind of neediness. He found himself walking around the grounds, his thoughts drifting to his girlfriend and the desire to be close to her. His eyes scanned the surroundings until they landed on a small, secluded corner, shielded from the main pathways.
A sly, mischievous smile spread across his face as his eyes landed on that secluded corner. It was a bit risky, but the allure of feeling her body against his, the need to be close to her despite the potential of getting caught, was too strong to resist.
She was sitting on the cool grass, enjoying the warmth of the sunshine on her skin, when she felt a familiar presence approach her. She looked up to find James wearing a mischievous grin on his handsome face. He wordlessly gestured to the secluded corner, and she followed his gaze, her face heating up as she realized what he had in mind.
She should’ve been concerned about the potential of being caught, but the look in his eyes, the way his voice held a hint of desire and mischief, all but silenced any protests she might have. She allowed him to lead her to the secluded corner, her heart pounding in her chest with a mixture of anticipation and excitement.
Once they were safely shielded by the foliage of the corner, he pulled her closer to him, his hands finding their way to her hips as he pressed her against the wall. His eyes darkened as he looked at her, and he leaned in to whisper in her ear. "You don’t know how badly I need you right now."
She felt a shiver run down her spine at his words, the heat of his breath against her skin, the tightening on her hips, all fanning the flames of her own desire for him. She closed her eyes for a moment, savoring the feel of his body pressed against hers, before looking up at him with a sly smile. "Do I even want to know why you’re feeling so... needy?" She teased.
A smirk tugged at his lips as he looked down at her, his gaze darkening even further with lust. "Perhaps it's the weather, perhaps it's the thrill of the danger," he murmured, his hands gently roaming the curves of her body, his fingers tracing the edge of her skirt. "Or perhaps it's just the fact that you're standing here, looking all beautiful and radiant, and I can't help but want to be as close to you as physically possible."
With a sudden, swift movement, he shifted her stance, making her legs spread wider. His body was pressed tightly against hers, his breath coming out in a low, strained pant as he leaned in to whisper in her ear once more. "You have no idea how much I want you right now," he growled, his hands moving to her legs, gently but firmly pushing her skirt up.
His hands continued to move up her thighs, his fingers gently caressing her skin as he hitched her skirt slightly higher. He kept his movements quick, his breath coming out in short, ragged puffs as his mind was focused on the main goal. Once he had her skirt pushed up just enough, he quickly fumbled with his own trousers, unbuttoning them and pulling them down just enough to allow him the access he desired.
His breath hitched for a moment as he realized she had no underwear on, his eyes widening in surprise and excitement. He let out a low, guttural growl, his hands gripping her hips even tighter as he pulled her body flush against his.
His desire for her was palpable, a burning need that coursed through his veins like fire. Without wasting another moment, he pressed himself against her, his body enveloping hers as he claimed her mouth in a rough, desperate kiss.
He felt a rush of heat and pleasure as he pressed himself against her, his body molded to hers in a perfect fit. With one swift movement, he was stretching her walls with his length.
She let out a soft gasp, her body arching slightly, her hands instinctively gripping his shoulders for support. The feel of him inside her was intense and overwhelming, making her head spin with a mix of pleasure and satisfaction. Despite the danger of being caught, her mind betrayed her, her body responding to his every touch and kiss with a fierce need of its own. She arched against him, her body meeting his with a fervor that matched his own.
She could feel the tension coiled within her, the need to let go and surrender completely to the sensations that were flooding her senses. The thought of getting caught was an afterthought, overshadowed by the overwhelming need to be as close to him as possible in this moment.
His movements were fast and urgent, his hands roaming over her body, seeking to touch and claim every inch of her. His kisses were fierce and possessive, his lips leaving a trail of heat on her skin. The sound of their gasps and moans were muted by the foliage around them, the risk of being caught adding an extra thrill to the whole experience.
Her mind was blank, consumed by the pleasure and the overwhelming need for him. She felt his body moving against hers, his breath hot and ragged on her neck, and all she could do was cling to him, her fingers digging into his shoulders as her body responded to his every touch.
The world outside the small corner faded away, their surroundings reducing to mere blurs as they lost themselves in each other. The urgency of their need and the excitement of being caught pushed them closer to what they both needed most.
Every touch, every kiss, every movement, was laced with a sense of urgency. It pushed his movements to the very end, his thrusts growing sloppier as her tiny whimpers seem to grow in his ear. With one last deep thrust, he filled her with the most reliving sigh coming from his lips. They stayed close for a moment, foreheads touching before he pulled out, quickly fixing their clothing back to normal.
They stood there for a moment, catching their breaths, hearts pounding in their chests. The sounds of the world around them slowly filtered back into their awareness. But in that moment, all they could think about was the aftermath of their quick, intense encounter.
He let out a ragged breath as he leaned back against the wall, his chest heaving from the exertion. He ran a hand through his messy hair, still trying to regain his bearings. He looked at her for a moment, a mix of amusement, satisfaction, and relief on his face. "That was..." he trailed off, unable to find the words to describe what had just happened between them.
“Risky.” She finished for him in a breathless laugh.
He chuckled at her blunt but accurate description. "That's one way to put it."
He pushed away from the wall, slowly stalking towards her with a wicked gleam in his eyes. He reached out a hand and gently traced her bottom lip with his thumb, his tone dripping with mischief.
"You know, I'm going to enjoy the thought of you walking through the rest of the day, knowing that you've got a piece of me dripping inside you every time you move..."

Within Reach
Billy could also be slightly dramatic when he was sick….
I don’t know that it’s just Billy, but I think quite a lot of guys who project a tough persona turn clingy, needy, and just this side of whiny when they’re not feeling well 😆
@e-dubbc11 writes quirky established relationship dynamics between the Reader and Billy with such obvious delight, in this story it feels like extra servings of the house special handed out with a playful smack on the bottom. Billy is both adorable and, as the Reader pointed out, “exasperating”; but even when the Reader says “I speak fluent sarcasm, Billy,” we’re not the least bit surprised she looked at his pleading (handsome) face and still braved an unglamorous run to the corner store.
I love how this fic nails that stable, long-term quality to their relationship where openly sassing each other takes nothing from less overt displays of affection.
Ericca’s stories always give Billy a home life that feels authentic and familiar — in that way, her stories make us feel like our own happiness is within reach. “A Day of Rest?” cheers with the simple joy of laughing over discomfort, and sharing an inside joke. Reread as often as needed, and be generous with the oyster crackers.
Tumblr media
Can you do: “your lover gets clingy when sick so now you've to deal with their adorable, bubbly but sick, half dozing version. you love them, so no complaints,” for Billy, please? 🥰
Thank you so much for sending in this prompt, I hope you like it! ❤️
A Day of Rest?
Tumblr media
Pairing: Billy Russo x F! Reader
Warnings: couple of swear words, Billy being a big baby, fluff
Word Count: 1.6k-ish
A/N: I had a lot of fun writing this one, I made myself giggle. Also I’m not editing these as much as I usually do because I’m trying to finish all of these before we all get gray hair so if there are mistakes, I sorry.
Finally. A planned day off with nothing to do or whatever you wanted to do, it was your day. Billy left for work around 8, you were still curled up in bed when he came in to say goodbye.
He gently moved your hair away so he could kiss you on the neck, his lips were warm and soft. They were almost a little too warm though, and he looked a little pale.
“Hey, handsome. You ok? You look a little pale.” You asked in a concerned tone.
“I’m fine, sweet girl. Go back to sleep, enjoy your day off and I’ll call you at lunch. I love you.” He said as he kissed the top of your head.
“I love you too, Billy. Have a good day.” You said with a warm smile.
He stopped before walking out of the bedroom to smile and wink at you. The front door closed behind him, he was off to work and you were finally alone for the day.
You weren’t sure what you were going to do but you knew it involved, comfortable clothes, some junk food, and the couch but for now you’d start with a cup of coffee.
You had been alone for maybe a few hours when you thought you heard a sneeze and keys in the door. That can’t be right, Billy was at work.
Another sneeze outside the door echoed down the hallway as he opened the door and slowly walked inside, he looked terrible. His normally perfect hair was slightly tousled, there were tiny beads of sweat on his forehead, and he appeared a little delirious.
“Oh my god, Billy?! You look awful.” You said.
Billy shrugged his jacket off to rest it on the dining room chair, he couldn’t get his scarf off quick enough, and he could barely get his shoes untied without falling over.
“Thank you, my love.” Sarcasm dripping from his voice, eyes half open and even paler than he was earlier that morning. “I am so sorry to ruin your free day, I was just going to sleep in my office but Frankie made me go home.”
“Well I’m glad he did—come on, let’s get you to bed.” You said trying to usher him towards the bedroom.
He stopped walking. “Can I just stay out here? Please?”
You rolled your eyes, only because he couldn’t see you. “Alright, just go change your clothes so you’re more comfortable. You need to rest, Billy.”
Billy was very clingy when he was sick. Your rough and tough Marine turned into the biggest baby when he didn’t feel well, he didn’t want to be in a room if you weren’t there with him. He just felt better if you were close by which was kind of sweet but you knew you were in for a long day of nursing.
After Billy emerged from the bedroom in his sweats and a t-shirt, he stumbled towards the couch and basically fell face first onto the cushions (Billy could also be slightly dramatic when he was sick.) He rolled over onto his back so you could touch his forehead and his cheeks, he was very warm but goosebumps erupted on to his exposed skin.
“You’re very warm, baby.” You said.
He started to shiver. “Yeah well I’m fuckin’ freezing!” He said.
You went to the bedroom and came back with a blanket.
“Can I have one of your blankets y/n? Yours are so much softer than mine. Please?”
He wants to be particular now. At least he was polite about it.
You gave him your blanket that you had been relaxing with before he came home and you couldn’t blame him for wanting to use it. It was very soft and warm.
“Thank you, sweet girl.” He tried to smile but he was too tired.
Picking up your book, you started towards the bedroom when Billy stopped you.
“Baby, where are you going?” He asked.
“I was just gonna go read in the bedroom for a while, I don’t want to disturb you. You need to rest.” You told him.
He didn’t want you to go. “Stay here with me, I would feel better knowing you’re right next to me.”
You narrowed your eyes at him. “Does Frank know you’re a big baby when you’re sick? He always says ‘Ah Bill is the toughest guy I know.’ I think he’d take it all back if he found out you’re VERY needy when you don’t feel well.” You said with a slight chuckle.
“No, he doesn’t know and YOU’RE not going to tell him either, my love.” He started to cough a little.
“Ok, ok. At ease, soldier. I won’t tell him but you owe me, Mr. Russo.” You said.
“Well I’ll buy you a pony then.” He said sarcastically.
You returned the sarcastic comment. “I want a white one so I can dress it up like a unicorn.”
“Fine, I’ll get you a white one.” He rolled his eyes as he said it but he was laughing now too. “You always have somethin’ smart ass to say, don’t you princess.”
“I speak fluent sarcasm, Billy. The sass contest belongs to this girl.” You said while trying to keep from laughing. Your playful banter was one of the reasons why you loved Billy so much. You understood each other’s humor and tried to see who would crack a smile first.
Before sitting down on one of the side chairs, you sat down on the edge of the couch, leaned over and kissed him on the forehead. “Now get some rest, handsome. I’ll be here when you wake up.”
Billy had a nice long nap on the couch while you read your book, trying to not make any noise. It would be a lot easier to make tea if he was asleep in the bedroom, so you tried to be as quiet as possible.
You offered him peppermint tea to help settle his stomach but he didn’t want it, he wanted lemon tea so you made that for him instead.
He asked for an extra blanket and a pillow, which apparently wasn’t fluffy enough so he wanted yours too. He also didn’t want the soup you made unless there were oyster crackers to go with it.
“We don’t have any oyster crackers, Billy. You really should try and eat something, at least get the broth down.” You said. “We have regular saltine crackers.”
“But I like oyster crackers, y/n.” He said with his perfect smile.
You made a low growling noise under your breath. “You are VERY lucky I love you so much Billy Russo because you are exasperating!”
After running down to the corner store, in your sweats and no makeup, you came back with a box of oyster crackers only to find Billy asleep again, his soup cold and still untouched. You may kill him before the day is over. Although it was hard to be mad at him when he looked so adorable asleep on the couch.
He stayed asleep for a while this time, not moving much. His body really must have been tired to need that much rest. You even fell asleep for a little bit. When you woke up, your book was on the floor, it was dark out and Billy was still asleep. You flicked the lamp on and just gazed at him for a minute while he slept.
Watching his chest rise and fall, you remembered the times Billy took care of you when you were sick, making sure you had fluids, making sure you were resting and not on your phone and he would drop everything he was doing to come home and make sure you were alright. You loved him for that, so you were happy to do the same for him even if he was a pain in the ass about it.
You moved his soup from the living room to the kitchen and started to clean up a little. While you were washing dishes, a pair of long arms snaked around your waist, his body had you pinned against the kitchen counter, and a pair of lips pressed to your temple for a little kiss. His lips felt cooler than earlier.
Slowly, you closed your eyes and let out a soft moan. “Hmmmmm…..hello handsome. You feel any better?” You asked.
“Because of you, I do. Thank you, my love.” He answered with another kiss to your temple.
You turned around to face him and wrapped your hands around his neck. “You’re welcome, Billy.” You pointed a finger at his chest. “But you still owe me a pony.” A wide smile spread across your face.
He inched his face closer to yours, his obsidian like eyes staring at you as he leaned in and softly pressed his lips to yours like you were made of glass and he didn’t want to break you.
“I will buy you whatever you want, sweet girl.” He said with a smirk. “I know I was a pain today and I’m sorry but thank you for taking care of me and not killing me.”
You pressed up onto your toes to kiss him again. “If I killed you, I wouldn’t get my pony now would I, Mr. Russo. Now go sit down, I’ll reheat your soup.”
A smile tugged at the corners of Billy’s mouth and he let out a little laugh.
“With oyster crackers?” He asked with a wink.
You brushed his beard with your thumbs and scraped his scalp with your fingers, he drove you absolutely crazy but you were crazy in love with him and would do it all again when he needed you to.
“Yes, handsome…with oyster crackers.”

Hi! For the kink thing you're doing - could we please please get a Billy Russo competency + overstim kink (or competency and praise, whichever pairing you prefer). In my mind the reader gets *ideas* when Billy is building something (bc those damn IKEA dressers are difficult) or maybe she goes to Anvil one day and sees him doing like training with recruits or something? Anyway, sorry for the ramble and thank you in advance!
I am!

You check out the new instalment at Anvil, a sniper's nest that Billy seems to love.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Despite his ear protection, he still heard you ascending the steps of the sniper's nest. It was Anvil's newest toy, the tall structure standing out above the skyline of the flat warehouse. He pulled aside his ear muff and pulled the earplug free, pushing himself up from his position lying on the table in the middle of the room to rush over to greet you. "Hi."
You tapped your own ear muff with a smile. "What?"
He pulled them off your head and placed them around your neck as you yanked the earplugs out. "These are a good look for you."
You chuckled. "Yes, that gun is very loud."
He smiled and leaned down to kiss you, his hand soft on your cheek as you leaned against him. He pulled away, brushing your hair from your face as he looked down at you lovingly. "Now what are you doing here?"
You sighed. "I missed you, you've been busy and we've been missing our lunch dates." You furrowed your brow. "Why are you in your suit?" Normally during training, he wore his grey fatigues.
He sighed. "I just got done showing our client our new space. They were very impressed."
You took the chance to look around the small room. It was set up like an embedded sniper outpost, the walls covered in large charts about wind speed and bullet type, even though it was furnished like a dining room in a dilapidated apartment. The only things that really stood out were the new couch in one corner and the shelves of binoculars and PEE along one wall. "It looks even better than the photos." It really felt like you were in enemy territory.
He took your hand and led you to the table, gesturing to his rifle with a smile. "You wanna watch?"
You nodded, and he walked around the table to the shelves, picking up a pair of safety glasses and a set of binoculars. He placed the binoculars on the table and pulled you close, sliding the safety glasses over your face before booping your nose as you held back your giggles. "You're being silly, Billy."
He bent his head and kissed you again before helping you climb onto the table and settling next to you. His shoulder was back bracing the riffle as you looked through the lens, and the shot shook the room while smoke billowed from the barrel. You didn't see anything until he tapped your shoulder and pointed to one of the trees at the very edge of the property. Another look clarified what he was shooting at as another shot rang out, and a left was blown clear of its branch.
It happened like that each time, the green leaves disappearing in a puff as the boom of the gun jerked the table until he ran out of bullets. When he finally placed the weapon on the ground, you still found yourself unable to look away from the sight, he hadn't missed a shot the whole time. He ran his hand all the way up your back, finally breaking your attention away from the tree. You removed everything from your head and turned backwards to face them. "That was very impressive."
He was smiling, his ego clearly boosted by the look of amazement on your face. "I gotta go back to the armoury and clean my rifle. You wanna come?"
You nodded. "Of course I do."
The trip was short, only down the stairs and through a door before you were standing in an expansive space loaded with guns. He made his way to the large table with you following close behind and began to dissemble the weapon, taking it apart piece by piece before cleaning each part with care, his face a mask of concentration as the burnt gun powdered turned into shiny metal.
"You see something you like?" He looked so smug.
You most definitely did, each movement of his slender fingers was precise and controlled more like a dance than a tedious process he could do with his eyes closed and one hand tied behind his back. "Yes, many things, would you like me to list them?"
If you thought he was smug before, that was nothing compared to how he was now. "Nah, I think I have a pretty good idea."
The gun was put away in his personal spot, and he washed his hands in the slop skin as you watched on, swaggering up to you and lifting you onto the table when he was done. "You need something from be gorgeous girl?"
You nodded. "Many things."
He settled between your spread legs, his fingertips playing with the hem of your jeans as he gazed into your eyes. "Are my fingers one of them?"
It was hard to concentrate on anything when he was touching you, but you knew if you didn't answer, nothing would happen. "Yes, I would like that very much."
He smirked and popped open your jeans, slowly undoing the zip if only to toy with you before his fingers met your core. "You got something you need to tell me about, because there's no way my poor landscaping and the smell of gun oil has got you this wet."
He wasn't pulling any punches, there was no tease or slow build, he was doing exactly what he needed to bring you right to the edge before your brain could catch up. "You're very good at things…" You took a deep breath to gather yourself as heat spread out from where his fingers were on you. "And I like that you're good at things."
The feeling of his fingers leaving your skin shocked you into action and you tugged at his clothes while he tugged at yours, and before long, you were both naked with your clothes in little piles around you. "You know what else I'm good at?"
You knew exactly what answer he was looking for by the way his thumb was rubbing at the inside of your thigh. "Yes, yes I do."
He smiled and returned to touching you with the same insistence as before. It didn't take long for the pressure to build in your core, and he knew it. His beard scratched your skin as his lips worried at your neck, and he smiled into your skin as you clenched around nothing. He didn't stop there, his long fingers filling you before the aftershocks could fade.
Everything was so steady and practised, the fingertips on your G-spot, his lips on yours, each move intentional and purposeful until you were once again cresting the hill into bliss. He was unrelenting, pushing and pushing and pushing until one orgasm faded into another and space reduced to just the two of you in the empty Anvil warehouse.
"Please, Billy, I can't take it anymore." That was only half a lie, you could have told him no if you needed to.
He chuckled warmly, pulling his hand away and sucking his fingers into his mouth with a groan before speaking. "So you don't want me inside you?"
His tone held just a hint of mischief, and you nipped his shoulder as he chuckled. "I'll take that as a yes."
You nodded. "Yes please."
His forehead fell against yours as he slid inside you, taking a careful pace as you leaned your weight into him. He wrapped his arms around your body, controlling the pace as you wove one hand into his hair and held the table with the other. As his speed picked up, he pulled back to watch your blissed out face, grunting like an animal with every thrust as he took in the sight of your screwed tight eyes and heaving chest. "Billy..I."
He kissed you softly, whispering against your lips as his fingers made their way to your clit. "I know, gorgeous, I can feel it. How about you be a good girl and cum for me again."
You were powerless to resist his request, not when he said it so sweetly and as you were swept into the undertow of it, his teeth sunk into your lower lip as he followed you.
You stayed together for a breath before he finally stepped back, smirking as you twitched. "Sorry."
You huffed. "No you're not."
He kissed the corner of your mouth with a smile. "You're right about that."
He reached down for your clothes, dressing you piece by piece before dressing himself. Your eyes went wide, and he paused, looking at you intently as if he could decipher your worry. "Umm, is Jerry watching the cameras?"
He chuckled and shook his head. "I made sure they were turned off when we walked in here."
You fained offence and shoved his shoulder playfully. "You ass, you planned this from the start."
He nodded and kissed you again. "Yep. You can't be mad, you love me."
You sighed. "I do but I'm expecting you to make it up to me, I can't have you scheming all the time."
The look of lust on his face told you what he was thinking. "Oh, don't worry, I will."

Billy was always the determined type so when he picked you up from work and took you to the bookstore to pick whatever you wanted you knew that a simple gift wasn't enough for him.
You browsed through the sections and ended up lingering on the classics sections. He instructed you to pick five books and so you did. You placed them in his hands and waited outside by the car for him. Once out he took you to a restaurant for some late lunch/early dinner and then you were off to his place.
He lived in a luxury apartment in upstate New York and one of your favourite things to do was just to stare outside at the big city skylines. He seemed to be doing some work while you were sitting on the couch freshly showered wearing one of his t-shirts and reading one of the books you picked.
He came by with a smirk on his face as he watched you. The tall man observed you for a bit before he came closer and instructed you on his lap cuddling you, soon enough the cuddling turned to more, Billy not really keeping his hands to himself.
Next thing you know he has you rubbing yourself against his clothed hard-on while he's listening to your reading aloud. He fumbles with his belt and pants until he frees his cock and pushes your panties to the side sliding it right in. The sun had long been set as he looked up at you with a smile.
"Read for me..." He whispered, his lips digging into your neck, struggling to hold on to your book.
"Billy...." You breathed out feeling him occupying your walls so deliciously, you hadn't seen him for three days and you were getting needy yourself.
"Read." He said again before biting your neck. You groaned as you placed the book against the back of the couch and continued reading aloud.
He continued kissing and teasing your neck, loving and feeling the vibrations of your voice chords as he wrapped his hands tightly on your waist not allowing you to go anywhere.
You came to a halt as the pleasure was getting a little too much for you but he only tilted his head to scold you.
"Don't stop until you finish your chapter."
"There are no chapters in this book!" You protested cursing the days you chose this particular book.
"Sucks for you." He chuckled and kissed you again on your neck possesively. "I wanna know how this plays out." You groaned louder as you continued reading aloud.
You were in for a long night.
A very long night.

“You're his. You just don't know it yet.”
The way this fic just seethes from the get-go, it eats us alive and leaves nothing more of us than a few molten, tender morsels. That’s how we know @lieutenantwilliamrusso is back, unleashing that feral energy back into our dash, drawing us out, welcoming us to the feast where we already know — though we might pretend we don’t — that we’re the main course.
Oh, he has so much spoiling to do. When he's done with you, you won't think twice about him taking care of everything. It makes him kind of sick to think that you've gone this long with no one to care for you, but he reminds himself that he's here now…
Tumblr media
The writing just throbs with the hunger it conveys; so we feel every hitch of Billy’s breath, every strain (including of that which strains against fabric), every single surge of need.
And it won’t let us resist the urgings of our own appetite either; not when Scarlett’s words whisper the promise of being treated so well… so very, very well …
"So you break into my house, steal my shit, and what, jack off outside my window?"
“I only did that once.”
Ok, there’s that; but it’s almost like Scarlett is chiding us, coaxing us to take another bite while telling us that at least he was being honest…
"You think you can take it like this?" Billy asks, voice serious.
"Yeah, been practicing." You admit, legs trembling.
Now look at that…. We can be honest too….
What Scarlett makes us understand with this story is that there is nothing left to hide once we’ve shared what we’ve secreted away in our drawers — the sight of expensive silk around our wrists, that’s just one of the many things we want to savor.
P.S. This is me hoping we’ll be invited to stay for dessert.
Hi. I saw your post for prompts. How about CEO Boss Billy having a obsessive dark crush on his secretary and driving all competition away by being scary🙈😈

Billy Russo x Fem! Reader
Mine
It's fucking sick. How beautiful you are, how kind and sweet. How much Billy wants to bend you across his desk and then yours and show you how well he can take care of you. But he can't, you're his good little secretary and he's your boss. Sure, he could call you in, offer you a generous raise if only you'd get on your knees but Billy wants more. He wants to own you, body and soul and if he did that you'd never be his.
So he sulks, and steals your hair clips because they hold the scent of your hair. And your small bottle of perfume you keep at your desk. And one of those pink pens you insist on using above all others. And then one day, Billy's mounting obsession with you has the best and worst day yet.
You have a date. With a douchebag in accounting.
You come to work with a bigger bag and Billy realizes you're going to change for your date before leaving work. Billy's never seen you in street clothes before, and the thought stirs something primal and sick inside him.
You're his. You just don't know it yet.
When the work day ends, you disappear into the bathroom, taking your bag with you. As you lift it up to haul it over your shoulder, the mot amazing thing happens. A small scrap of lace falls onto the floor, left behind as you leave. The primal feeling stir in Billy as he moves to investigate, head on a swivel for you or any remaining employees. When he reaches the floor his suspicions are conformed. He lifts the lace thong from the floor and rubs the material over his fingertips. Buttery soft, just like your skin probably is. Billy pockets the panties and turns quickly to reenter his office.
He's going to follow you on your date, that's for certain.
Billy chooses not to watch you leave, uncertain how he'll act if you're wearing something tight or short. He waits until you're in the garage and then he follows, choosing a nondescript black car to tail you with.
You end up somewhere fancy, a new Italian restaurant on the Upper East Side. This dumbass you're going out with should know better. Indian food is your favorite and you hate driving on the Upper East Side. Billy almost smiles, realizing this guy might not stand a chance. Almost. You're still not with him and the thought makes Billy's insides churn, venom icing his veins.
When you park, Billy grabs a spot a few spaces down and peers through the tinted window as you step out of your car. This idiot didn't pick you up? When you're Billy's, you'll never have to take yourself anywhere again. Strike two.
When he sees you his breath catches, fingers tightening on the steering wheel until his knuckles are pale. You're in a black wrap dress, the short hemline showing off your gorgeous legs, and the black Louboutin heels Billy knows you bought with your Christmas bonus are helping even more. Your hair is out and your lipstick is dark red. That image inspires the thought of what that lipstick will look like smeared across your face and Billy's dick, that pretty hair all ruffled.
Billy groans, head thumping back against the headrest.
When your date arrives, dressed exactly like the idiot finance bro Billy imaged, he seethes. The Idiot goes for a hug right away like a desperate freak and leads you into the restaurant with his hand on your lower back. Billy steels himself to fuck up the Idiot's night.
He slips the ski mask over his face and gets out.
When the Idiot, who's ugly in Billy's opinion, gets up to use the bathroom, it's Billy's time to shine. Billy slips into the bathroom after him, flicking the lock behind him. When the Idiot goes to wash his hands, Billy strikes. He's fucked up enough to leave a mark, and the message is clear.
"Get the fuck out of here." Billy growls.
As he's washing the guy's blood off, an idea takes root in Billy's mind. He's dressed in his work clothes still, having only thrown a black sweatshirt over his white button up.
Billy throws his sweatshirt in the trash along with the ski mask and fixes his hair. This night can be saved.
When he crosses the floor he sees you, playing on your phone while you sip on your glass of red wine. You stop his heart with how effortlessly pretty you look, featured illuminated by the soft candle light on the table. He approaches, swallowing hard.
"Miss Y/L/N." Billy greets, smiling softly.
Your head pops up and you greet him with a dazzling smile.
"Mr. Russo!"
"Billy, please." Billy cringes internally at how formal this all sounds.
"Sorry, I always forget." You blush.
"No worries, Y/N. But you're off the clock, no penalty." He jokes.
You giggle lightly, and the weight in his chest lifts a little.
"You here alone?" He questions lightly.
"Oh! No, I'm here with Richard, from accounting. He's just in the bathroom."
"I just saw him leave on my way in." Billy states gently.
Your eyes widen, your lips pulling downward just a little and Billy's chest tightens. He has to fix this, now.
"That dickhead ghost you?" He asks, struggling to hide his distaste.
"I-uh I guess so." You mumble, too surprised to notice Billy's profanity.
"How about this?" He begins, and you meet his eyes slowly. "You're all dressed up and already here. Have dinner with me." Billy proposes.
"Oh, no, Billy I couldn't, you're just here trying to enjoy your evening you don't have to worry about me." You try to smile but it's weak.
"Y/N, it's no trouble. I wouldn't have hired you if I thought you were bad company."
You smile wider at that, nodding your acceptance.
"Okay, okay. Thank you."
"My pleasure." Billy grins, sitting across from you.
Billy spends the next two hours in heaven, slowly cracking your shell to pull you out of it. You laugh at his jokes and try little bites of his food and he can't help but imagine doing this with you all the time. When the meal is over, the last crumbs of a chocolate lava cake between you, Billy prepares to pay, not even thinking twice.
"Oh! No, Billy you don't have to!" You protest, eyes wide.
"Sweetheart, I get paid enough to foot a few dinner bills here and there. It's nothing." He doesn't realize the word flies from his lips until you blush, eyes darting around his face.
"Are you sure?"
"Positive."
Oh, he has so much spoiling to do. When he's done with you, you won't think twice about him taking care of everything. It makes him kind of sick to think that you've gone this long with no one to care for you, but he reminds himself that he's here now, and you're right beneath his fingers, ready for him to grab.
He walks you to your car and wishes you goodnight before sliding into his own seat, ready to follow you home.
You apartment is on the second floor of an old brownstone, small but cozy and Billy begins to imagine you sprawled out on the giant leather couches in his own penthouse. God, the way you crawl inside his brain without even knowing it. He spends hours figuring out how he'll slot you into every aspect of his life.
Your curtains are sheer, something Billy is grateful for as you flick on a light and begin to undress. When you pull your dress over your head, Billy freezes, waiting. You begin to unclasp your bra, and Billy is scrambling to open his pants, palming his dick through his boxers. Your breasts are outlined in the soft golden light of your room, nipples clear in the shape. Billy groans, unable to tear his eyes away as you slide on an oversized shirt and disappear for a few minutes.
When you come back you turn off the light and you're gone, off to bed like he should be. He wonders if you'll think of him tonight, if you'll touch yourself like he is. As he sits panting in his car another idea begins to form, something impulsive and crazy, just like you make him feel.
Your apartment is dark, only illuminated by the moonlight seeping through the small living room window. It smells like you in here, sweet and flowery and Billy can't help but stop for a few moments to breath you in, content to just be in your space. But there's something he needs. He's not sure what it is yet, but he wants something small, miss-able, something he can use to feel closer to you when you're not around.
He pokes around your living room and kitchen, unable to find what he needs so hesitantly he approaches your bedroom door. The old wood creaks just a little as he pushes it open, and he pauses to wait for movement. When he only hears the soft sound of your breath he enters, using the dim moonlight through your curtains to look at your belongings. You hairbrush it too noticeable, and he already has some of your perfume. There are a few necklaces, a ring, but nothing that screams, you. As he moves around some more jewelry he spots it, a thin gold bracelet with your initial on it. Perfect.
He lifts it from under the pile, figuring you haven't worn it in a while and examines it closer to the light of your window. When he's satisfied with his choice he tucks it into his pocket and turns to leave, resisting the urge to move closer to your sleeping form.
-------------------
The next few days are uneventful, but you're more open with him as you work side by side. You're even calling him Billy now, and he can't help the rush of pride he gets when you address him.
He's out on the floor, finishing up some new plans for a training exercise set up when you walk by.
"Y/N!" He calls, looking you up and down as you walk over.
You're in an cute black pinstripe dress and heels today, and Billy wishes he were calling you over for a quick kiss on the way by.
"What can I do for you, Billy?" You ask, smiling up at him.
He grins back. "Can you go grab the stack of files on my desk? I need a few for this." He requests.
"Sure thing." You call, already on it.
He goes back to work after watching your ass as you leave, quickly reabsorbed by his work until he realizes you've been gone for a while. Thinking you can;t find them, he heads back up to his office.
When Billy opens the door you're still there with a look he's never seen before painted across your features.
"Where did you get this?" You demand, holding up the bracelet.
"I found it on the floor out there, wasn't sure if it was yours." Billy explains coolly.
"Bullshit! I've never worn this to work. And it's custom made, only I have one."
Shit.
"Did- did you break into my apartment? Is that what this is? You don't trust me to work for you?"
Suddenly you're moving, tearing open his drawers before he can stop you and grabbing the handfuls of clips and pens and the tiny bottle of perfume that clatters around with them.
"Oh my god. Billy what is this?"
Billy's at a loss for the first time in a long time, his brain misfiring as he tries to come up with a way to clean this mess.
"Answer me. Right now." You demand and Billy's body takes the most inopportune moment to make his pants a little tighter.
"I'm stalking you." Billy blurts out.
You pause, disarmed by his honesty.
"You- why?"
"I want you."
"Why not just ask me out?" You reply, becoming a little shrill.
"Would you have gone on a date with your boss?" Billy retorts.
You take his words into consideration.
"So you break into my house, steal my shit, and what, jack off outside my window?"
"I only did that once."
"You're sick, Billy."
"I know." He replies softly.
"Come here." You call to him after a ling pause, voice suddenly soft.
He crosses the room, terrified of what your next reaction will be. When he reaches you, you smile at him, reaching for his hand.
"Come with me." You say, leading him from the office.
You take him to your desk, looking around to make sure everyone else really is gone for the day, before you open your top drawer, letting the contents slide forward. Billy's heart stops as he peers into the drawer.
Two of his favorite pens, a few of the mint candies he always keeps on hand, his business card and the tie clip he thought he lost weeks ago peer back at him.
"I've never broken into your place, though. I'm not really sure how I'd accomplish that one." You say, meeting his eyes.
"Tell me you're lying." Billy says quickly, heart racing.
"I'm not." You reply, voice even and sure.
Then he's grabbing your arm and hauling you back to his office. He flick the lock behind him and you're already two steps ahead, moving towards the mahogany desk and sitting on the edge.
When he reaches you he grabs your face in one hand, slotting your lips together roughly as he other hand finally feels the body he's been dreaming about for months. You do the same the him, hands feeling under his suit jacket as he plunders your mouth with his tongue. You open up for him easily, sweeter than he could have imagined. When he squeezes your waist you gasp, pressing closer.
Billy pulls back, moving to grab your hips and push you further back onto the desk. You gasp as he does and he takes the opportunity to mold his lips to yours again, hands gripping you tight. You grip him right back, hands grasping at his hair, his neck, anywhere you can feel the soft akin under your fingers.
You spread your legs for him as he places himself between them and Billy can't help but pause to admire the view. Your chest is heaving, breasts spilling over the top of your dress. The hem of your dress has ridden up, exposing your soft thighs to his gaze. Billy allows his hands to follow the path of this gaze, squeezing and parting your legs even more, until he sees the scrap of lace covering your pussy. The light blue fabric is soaked a darker shade where it lies over your slit, and Billy feels his mouth water at the sight.
He meets your eyes, licking his lips slowly.
"You've been bad, you know that?" He taunts.
Your eyes widen, already flying towards the sweet headspace he wants you in.
"What did I do?" You ask, peering up at him from under your pretty lashes.
"You almost made me think you didn't want me. I think you should make it up to me, sweet girl."
"Oh, yeah, yes!" You agree, gasping out your consent.
Billy grins, leaning back just a little to take off his tie. When he slides it from his collar he looks down at you again, watching you watch him.
"Give me your hands." He demands.
You obey instantly, holding your wrists out together before he can even ask you to, and he knows he's made the right choice.
"That's my girl." He praises, wrapping the silk tie around your wrists.
When he pulls you off the desk you comply, letting him turn you to bend you over it. You whine as he drags your dress over your hips, exposing your wet panties to him again. Billy laughs, spanking the meat of your ass and watching it jiggle as he hooks a finger under your panties, pulling them down. You step out of them and spread your legs wider, your high heels pushing your ass a little higher.
Billy strokes the backs of your thighs, teasing. When you begin to squirm he relents, brushing his fingers softly over your cunt, collecting the wetness on his fingers.
"God, baby. All this for me?" He asks, entranced.
"Just for you, no one else." You promise, fingers flexing in your binds.
"What a fucking angel you are."
With that, Billy begins to rub your clit, watching the way your thighs twitch as he adds pressure. When he can't wait any longer he dives in, licking and sucking at your clit from behind. You can only gasp and moan and take everything he gives you, pussy clenching around his mouth.
He eats you out like he's starving, slurping ant sucking until he sticks a finger in, rubbing at the spongy spot inside of you until your juices seep onto your thighs, wetting Billy's face in their wake. When you're close, he adds another finger, pumping as he licks into you. All it takes is Billy twisting his fingers just right and you're exploding on his tongue, hips stuttering against the table as he licks up what you give. He strokes your hair as you come down, basking in the pleasure he's able to give you.
"You think you made it up to me, angel?" Billy asks lowly, tugging a strand of your hair.
"No, no, sir." You answer.
That makes Billy cock twitch and he's rubbing against your ass before he can think about it.
"Yeah? You gonna give me something else?" Billy taunts, grinding into you.
"Mmhmm." You agree, words slurred with pleasure.
"What are you gonna give me, huh? What's a pretty girl like you got for me?"
"Fuck me!" You moan, clearly tired of waiting.
Billy laughs, a warm sound that makes you clench. He takes that as a sign to pull his cock out, rubbing the head against your sopping folds. You gasp at his size, rolling your hips against him.
"You think you can take it like this?" Billy asks, voice serious.
"Yeah, been practicing." You admit, legs trembling.
"Oh, yeah? You been practicing for me?" Billy asks, something warm and fierce blooming in his chest.
"Yeah. Wanted to take you if you ever let me." You confess further, face turning into the table.
Billy smiles softly down at you, eyes warm with want.
"You think about me when you fucked yourself?" He asks, pushing in as he says it.
"Yes! Ohhhhh." You reply, chest heaving.
"I think about you, too. You're even fucking tighter than I dreamed, baby." Billy grunts, beginning to thrust.
"Want you so bad, Billy." You grit out, pressed into the desk.
"You got me." He promises, hands grabbing at your waist as he fucks into you hard.
He's already close, succumbing to the heady mix of your confessions and how tight you are. From what he can tell you're just as close, sweet little moans and gasps falling from your lips.
"You gonna give me another?" Billy grunts, hips beginning to stutter.
"Close!" You reply, pussy fluttering around him.
Before he can answer you're cumming, forehead dropping to the table as you ride out the pleasure on Billy's dick. He follows you a second later, eyes rolling back in his head as he pumps you full. You come down together, Billy stroking your back and thighs as he comes back to reality.
When it's been a few moments, he pulls out, untying your wrists after he does. You slowly stand with his help, turning to meet his eyes.
"Hey." He greets quietly, looking for any sign of how you're feeling.
"Hi." You reply, flashing him a small smile.
He kisses you, arms wrapping around your waist to pull you into him.
"Pack up your stuff." He says against your lips. "You're coming home with me."
"Yes, sir."

Some would go as far to call them the it couple of the school. A couple everyone admired. Their love for one another was unmatched, something so rare, so beautiful. Well, at least that’s what it looked like on the outside…
No. They weren’t a bad couple by any means, very far from it actually. They just teased and made fun of one another for as long as both of them could remember. It was their way of keeping their relationship fun and alive.
They were tangled with one another on the bed of his deserted dormitory, all of his friends away doing their own things. It was a calming moment for the both of them as they just listened to each other breathing. The peaceful silence only lasted for so long until he heard sniffing next to his ear, causing him to speak up. “Are you sniffing me?”
“Something is different…” She commented before nuzzling her neck slightly into the crook of his neck to take in another whiff of his scent. Shortly after, she pulled back and shook her head, evident that she hadn’t found the source. “I don’t like it.”
He couldn’t help but let out a soft laugh, her warm breath tickling his skin. But when she pulled back with a puzzled expression, his chuckle turned into a small frown. “Different? Why? Do I smell weird or something?”
She picked up a few strands of his shoulder length hair and sniffed it, which only caused her brows to furrow together more.
He was definitely starting to feel self conscious as he watched her intently sniff his hair while her eyebrows scrunched together in a slight scowl. “Okay, I’m getting concerned. What is it? Do I smell, or do you just like taking in the scent of my hair like some weirdo?”
“Did you change your shampoo?” She asked curiously.
He blinked for a moment before a small chuckle escaped him. So she wasn’t disgusted by his scent — that was a relief. He lifted his hand, brushing some of her locks away from her face and placing them behind her ear.
He shook his head in response to her question. “No, actually. Why? Do you hate the way I smell now or something?”
“It smells like James.” She spoke unamused. “Your hair, it smells like James.”
His brows raised slightly as she nonchalantly mentioned that he smelt like his best friend. It was a curious observation, knowing that his friend had a completely different shampoo than him. He chuckled, a little concerned but also feeling amused by her remark. “I smell like him, huh? Are you telling me that James smells better than I do, love?”
“No, no. I’m asking you if you’re sure you didn’t use James’ shampoo on accident.”
“I’m a hundred percent sure.” He reassured her. “I didn’t even go near his stuff in the bathroom.” He sat up, propping himself up with his elbow on the pillow as he continued stroking her soft locks.
He paused for a moment, a small frown forming on his lips as he thought about the possibility of James sneaking and switching their shampoos for a laugh.
She frowned softly. She was so used to his scent, so comforted by it but now it just wasn’t right. Something was off and her sensitive nose was picking it up.
He sighed softly as he watched her expression, his heart clenching a bit as she noticed how displeased she seemed. He reached out, gently cupping her face in his hand and softly turning her head towards him. “Hey, don’t make that face. Tell me what I can do to make you feel better. Do you want me to go shower again? Or do you want me to take James’ shampoo and throw it out the window?”
She laughed softly. “I’m about to take you in the shower and get you smelling right.” She commented.
Her words seemed to have a different effect on him than she might have anticipated. His brow raised, an amused smirk spreading across his lips as he replayed her suggestion in his head.
He chuckled softly, leaning down and whispering playfully into her ear. “Is that a threat or a promise, love? Because you know, we could take care of that here and now. I could do with another shower.”
Her face flushed as she realized the way he took her words, her eyes widening ever so slightly.
His smirk only grew wider as he watched her face flush with a rosy hue, a small chuckle escaping him. He loved teasing her and getting her flustered, and sometimes he would just get a kick out of her reactions.
He brought his face even closer, his voice dropping to a more softer and teasing tone as he whispered. “What’s with the change in attitude, huh? Don’t you like taking me in the shower, love? Are you embarrassed?”
She cleared her throat awkwardly. “No comment.”
He wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her closer as his gaze flickered down to her lips then back to her eyes. His grey eyes orbs glinting just a little mischievously.
“I take all of my words back.” She giggled as she kissed the tip of his nose. “You smell great.”
He let out a soft chuckle. He appreciated her sweet words, but he couldn’t help but be amused that she changed her mind so suddenly. He pressed a light kiss to her forehead. “I do? Funny, because you weren’t saying that a minute ago.”
And then he attacked her in a mess of tickles.

Billy was so proud, the charity auction you had put on for Curt's group had raked in more than enough to keep the doors open and butts in seats for months to come. To make matters even better, he got to stick to the rich assholes who acted like donating a few bucks on their out of the Anvil office was saving humanity.
He walked up behind you and wrapped his arms around your waist, resting his head on your shoulders as he whispered into your ear. "You did good tonight gorgeous."
You craned your head and kissed him, and his fingertips grazed your cheek as he spun around to pull you close. "You wanna get out of here?"
Billy grinned. "Fuck yeah."
He took her hand and led you outside, but before he could open the car a shout stopped you both in your tracks. "Hey, baby why don't you leave the pretty boy and have some fun with me?"
Billy went stiff as a board, placing you behind him so he could stand between you and the yelling man. "Billy, let's just go."
You didn't have time, the man was already swagging over, his drunk gate wobbling as he walked. You wrapped your hand around his upper arm and tried to pull him, but it made no difference. "You should listen to your girl buddy, you wouldn't want to embarrass yourself getting into a fight you can't win."
You tended to forget how tall Billy really was, how imposing his height could be with just a change in his mood because he never gave you a reason to notice it. "Go the fuck home, I won't ask again."
Damn alcohol and its effects because all the man did was laugh and rear his fist back. Billy didn't even need to think to stop it, he just dropped the man with one punch. He watched the man get up and hobble away, ignoring the string of obscenities that came from his mouth. He placed his hand on your lower back as he opened the car door and helped you inside. "Sorry about that gorgeous."
You reached out and grabbed his hand, looking over his bruised knuckles as he smiled down at you. "Are you alright?"
He nodded. "Yep, that guy was nothing."
He pushed your door closed and climbed into the driver's seat, kicking the car over as his hand found your tight. "Let's go home."
****
Billy placed his folded suit jacket over the chair back and cleaned his bruised hand in the sink before walking behind you and unzipping your dress. "Did I tell you how beautiful you look tonight?"
You nodded. "Twice."
He kissed a path from shoulder to shoulder across your upper back, ending up kissing a line from shoulder dome to neck until his lips were at your ear. "Then let me tell you again, you look beautiful."
Your dress fell to the floor, and he walked in front of you, stretching his hand out for you to take so you could step out of the pile. He walked you to the edge of the bed and paused, his eyes moving up and down your body to take in the lacy set of lingerie. "I'm am the luckiest man on the planet."
You unbuttoned his dress shirt as he slid the straps of your bra off your shoulders, licking his lips at the newly revealed skin when it hit the floor. He stilled for a moment, his fingers drifting down your chest until his thumb was circling a nipple with the softness of freshly fallen snow, and then the air caught, and his lips slammed into yours. There was a rush to shed the rest of your clothes, and then you were scurrying up the bed with Billy hovering over you.
He was rock hard, his long, thick cock standing attention as the tip leaked with his arousal. His lips were on yours again, all lust and heat and his massive hands grabbed at whatever flesh he could reach. It was hard to know where to touch, there was just so much of him that it left you spoiled for choice. His back rippled under your hands as you dug your nails into his skin when his lips sealed around a nipple, your head falling back into the pillows as heat filled you.
The other one got the same treatment and soon enough, he was pressing kissing all over your abdomen on his way further down. He lifted your legs over his shoulder and kissed every inch of your thighs that he could reach before looking up at you through his long eyelashes. "Can I?"
"Yes please."
You loved the way he held you when he did this, his forearm thrown over your hips, keeping you still while he licked at you like he wanted to win some prize and the other holding your thigh, his fingers pressing into the skin in indistinct patterns like he was typing out a code. A gasp caught in your throat as the hand on your thigh moved towards your centre, his fingers slipping under his lips as he slid them inside you.
His thumb replaced his mouth, and he looked up at you with a soft smile. "Does that feel good, Sweetheart?"
"Yes." His lips were back on you as he stroked your G-spot with his calloused fingertips as you wove your hands into his hair. Pleasure zipped up your spine with each pass of his tongue and curl of his fingers and you yanked his hair as he moaned against you. "Billy.." He groaned an affirmative, and you held him to you as you came, him riding the wave with you until your hips stilled against the bed.
He pulled away, wiping his face with the back of his hand before kissing a line up your body to your lips. He took your face in his face, resting his forehead against yours and smiled. "You're so good for me." You spread your legs and he settled between them, gripping his cock and rubbing it up and down your slit. "Can I?"
"Yes please." He didn't leave you waiting, sliding home with a grunt as he hiked your legs over his waist with one hand.
He buried his face in your neck as he started to rock his hips, his voice tight with pleasure as he spoke. "My good girl, I love you so much."
He shifted angles to hit your G-spot as he picked up sped, and you tilted your head to the side to give him more room to suck at your neck as he ran one hand downwards, between your bodies to rub your clit. His lips broke away from your flesh so he could gaze into your eyes, his face filled with affection as he watched your expression fill with pleasure. "Can you give me another one?"
You gasped and nodded with each hitch of his lips, and he smiled. "I know you can." Your nails dug into his back as the edge approached and he kissed you again, nibbling your lower lip as he pushed you into a spine snapping orgasm. "Good girl."
He shifted again, putting his weight onto his hands as he chased his high. With one last thrust, he collapsed on top of you, his chest heaving as he kissed you softly. He rolled off you, moving onto his back to take you with him so your head rested on his chest. "Thank you gorgeous girl."
You sighed. "I should be thanking you."
He smirked and pressed his lips to your temple. "No, you have no idea how much I love you."
You turned your head and pressed a kiss to his firm chest. "I do, and I love you too."
He wrapped his arms around you and buried his face in your hair. "I'll run you a bath in a bit, I just want to hold you a little longer."
You laid your face on his cheek, and his eye fluttered closed. "I like the sound of that."

Transformation
The way I just squealed when I saw this 🥹
@the-cult-of-russo is one of the first Billy Russo writers I stalked followed, and I’ve been fan-girling hard since her return from a long hiatus.
Darkness Forever is everything I have loved about her writing in a single (for now) intense serving. She writes unapologetically about unconventional needs and the rarer, dimmer places we might go to fulfill them. The choice to cross boundaries is a foregone conclusion, and we can either revel in the free-fall or spend the rest of the way down scrambling for purchase. We get why Billy Russo is the perfect muse for these themes, scarred Billy Russo even more so.
It’s also why the narrow difference between pleasure and pain takes on a powerful immediacy when her characters become intimate. These scenes are written so that we’re caught up in the moment, their beauty inextricable from the whispered promise of withheld brutality. Why should the potential for unrestrained violence hold such savage attraction? It’s like @the-cult-of-russo understands that we are innately creatures of chaos, as capable of the damnable as the divine.
“I was born of fire and pain, torture and suffering. I feel like that’s something you can relate to…”
It feels bracing, this kind of storytelling that places us in the eye of the storm to feel all that swirling power down to our very bones. By taking us outside ourselves, we might return somewhat unrecognizable; but that’s how we continue to discover, long after the experience of this story, what it is we might still become.

A/N: So I can’t manage the next chapter of JBTF with how sick I am, but I wanted to at least try and give you guys something. This is a gift for @idaofinfinity . Thank you for cheering me on so much and always touching me with your amazingly kind words. I just wanted to show you how much I appreciate you being my biggest cheerleader since I came back.
As always, I love all of you guys and I appreciate all the well wishes you’ve sent me.
Side note; the Reader in this one is based off an OC I made for a different fandom and I’ve wanted to do this idea for a while.
Name of this one is from a song of the same name by Soccer Mommy.
Head in the oven
Didn't sound so crazy
My brain was burnin'
Hot to the touch
Lithium readings
Makin' me dizzy
They keep my feelings
Simmering low
Darkness forever
A cold sinking ocean
I wanna feel the
Warm of release
The devil is chasing
Hot on my tail and
Tryin' to struggle
Out of his leash
Words from an artist
Killed by their insides
She tried to set the
Evil on fire
It's warm in the kitchen
Like hot sticky summer
Demons are rising
Up with the smoke

The club was loud but you ignored the noise, the constant buzzing in your ears as your eyes drifted around. You could see clearly even in the dimly lit space as you were trying to find your target for the night. No one had jumped out at you yet, no one really intriguing enough to capture your interest. But then you saw him. He was sitting off in a corner with some guys, the group being rowdy. He stuck out like a sore thumb with his face littered with scars like that but he was easily the most beautiful human you’d ever laid eyes on, and you’d seen a lot of them. The darkness that curled around him was like a siren calling out to you and it made a thrill trickle down your spine, a slow smirk curling your lips. You sat in your spot for a while, eyes never leaving him as he talked with the guys he was with. They were all trouble, you could feel it. This one though, he was something else. When he got up and walked over to the bar, you licked your lower lip before standing, sauntering over with no hesitation. You stood next to him at the bar and he turned his gaze to you briefly, checking out who was next to him. But as he was turning away again, dark eyes turned back to you, interest and curiosity burning in them and you could sense his desire as his eyes raked over your form.
“Hello there,” you smirked, eyes glittering mischievously that had his own lips quirking up a little. He seemed slightly surprised but you figured it was about his face. You’d seen some of the looks he was getting here, saw how the girls pulled their faces and barely shot him a glance after that. Honestly, you thought they were all fucking brain-dead.
“Hi,” he drawled, giving you another once over. The scars did little to detract from his handsome face and you didn’t think you’d ever seen eyes that dark before.
“So… I was getting kind of bored and then I saw you. You look like the kinda guy that could show me a good time,” you flashed him a sultry smile and he chuckled, the sound low and rich and filling you with need you hadn’t felt in a very long time.
“Is that right?” he asked smoothly, a smirk on his lips. Your eyes drifted over him in a way that made his eyes darken, as if he could sense your need for him without words.
“I’m Y/N,” you purred, reaching your hand over and settling it over his. The moment you made contact with him, you got what you needed. The flashes burst behind your eyes and in seconds you knew exactly who this man was, knew everything he’d ever done. Knowing just what the darkness was that surrounded him lured you in even more and you could feel how damp your panties were getting now you knew just what he was capable of.
“Billy,” he supplied, eyeing you like he wanted to devour you. You shot him a wolfish grin at the thought. You leaned closer to him, biting your lower lip and his eyes were drawn to the motion.
“Well, Billy… How about you take me back to your place?” you asked with a raised brow. He smirked once more, anticipation flashing behind his eyes that dragged over your body slowly like he could see what lay under your clothes.
“Sounds good to me,” he replied easily, slamming back the drink the bartender had settled in front of him during the exchange. He didn’t even say anything to the guys he’d been with as he stood, so tall he was looming over you. He shot you a devilish smile before he guided you out of the bar.
His place turned out to be a motel and it was a pretty seedy one at that. You hadn’t been surprised though, you’d already seen it when you came in contact with him. The second he had you inside of his room, you were pressed against the door as his mouth claimed yours desperately. He kissed like it would be his last kiss on earth, a real toe-curling kiss that his whole body seemed to move with as he pressed against you. You moaned, your hands fisted in the front of his black t-shirt as you kissed back fervently and arched against him. It drew a delicious moan out of him and you were almost purring. You pulled away, the pair of you panting and you were surprised to find your hands were shaking a little with how tightly wound with desire you were. You grabbed his hand, moving around him and leading him over to the beat-up sofa on one side of the room. He followed obediently and you pushed him to sit on it, causing him to chuckle darkly as he tilted his head watching you. You moved to straddle him and his hands grabbed your hips with no hesitation. One of your hands splayed on his chest, the other going to his short hair as you raked your nails over his scalp. His eyes fluttered shut for a moment, a soft moan leaving his lips as he leaned into your touch. He reminded you of a cat.
“If you could have anything in the world, what would it be?” you asked curiously. His eyes opened then, confused and mildly curious about your weird question in the middle of something like this. You felt his hands flex on your hips as he licked his lower lip, eyes dipping to your chest before back to your face as you blinked down at him patiently.
“You, naked and writhin’ under me,” he replied easily, an impish smile on his face. Your lips curled into a smile as you scraped your nails over his scalp once more and he hummed softly, once again leaning into it. He didn’t close his eyes this time and his obsidian gaze stayed locked on you.
“I mean it… if you could have one thing in the world, anything… what would it be?” you asked again, a little firmer this time. His eyes narrowed for only a moment and you started to think he wouldn't indulge your curiosity as he looked away briefly. A haunted look passed on his face and his fingers dug into your hips a little before he tugged his eyes back to your face.
“I’d… I’d go back… change some shit. Make better choices, pick the right people,” he answered honestly. How disappointing. You’d half expected him to ask for his looks back, knowing how much it bothered him. Or maybe he wanted to be able to get revenge on his former best friend that had done this to him. You hadn’t expected this with the darkness that blanketed him but you could feel it now. The guilt, the heartbreak, the self-loathing. And while he was purposely vague in his answer, he had no idea you already knew. You knew just what he was talking about. He wanted to go back and not betray Frank Castle, not lose the family that had taken him in. He wanted to live the life he should have had if he hadn’t given in to temptation. You deflated a little at his answer but it didn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things. You’d still get what you wanted in the end anyway.
“What if I told you I could give you that?” you asked carefully, your nails still scratching at his head. He gave you a look that was partly amused and partly annoyed as he rolled his eyes.
“Yeah… okay,” he snorted. You blinked and when your eyes opened again, they were no longer the color they were a moment ago. Instead, they were black as coal, no whites to be seen. You felt him tense under you, his eyes widening a little before he squinted at you.
“What the hell are you?” he asked roughly. He was looking at you like you were a threat but you weren’t offended. Instead, his words made a rueful smile curl your lips as you looked down at him.
“I’m the things nightmares are made of, Billy,” you smirked. His breathing hitched a little yet his hands didn’t leave your hips and he didn't attempt to move you away. There was some fear there but he also gazed at you curiously and surprisingly enough, you could still feel his straining erection under you.
“I was born of fire and pain, torture and suffering. I feel like that’s something you can relate to,” you added, your smirk softening to a smile. You felt him relax a little at that, his only answer being a small nod of his head.
You weren’t what was considered a normal demon. You were one of the originals, one of the oldest. There were books out there with your name on them, telling terrifying tales of the ‘Bringer of Chaos’ and the ‘Princess of Hell’. You’d been Lucifer's favorite once upon a time. He’d taken a special shine to you and he’d tortured you himself. That’s how demons were made. Their souls were corrupted, their humanity literally tortured out of them until they couldn't take it anymore. Only with you, you had something no other demon still had, something Lucifer had forced you to keep. A small fragment of your soul. It wasn't a gift because he liked you, no. It was the ultimate torture, something that would ensure you would be tortured for as long as you still existed. You couldn't ignore your brutal nature, couldn't escape it. But the tiny fragment of humanity left in you was enough to cause you to feel things no demon should be able to feel. You’d gotten used to it with how old you were, you’d learned to control it for the most part. But every so often you’d snap, having moments of near hysteria or insanity as the guilt consumed you whole, forcing you to see just how much blood stained your hands. It was a curse and you despised it and in the end, you despised your maker for forcing you to keep it.
“If you want to go back and live the life you should have had, I can do that for you. You’ll remember all of this but they won’t,” you murmured, your hand moving from his head and coming to rest on his chest with your other. He shifted under you and the movement jostled you, bringing you closer to him. He didn't seem to mind it though and his dark eyes were burning into you. You could see his intrigue, could see your offer was enticing him.
“What’s the price? There’s always a price, so what do you want in return?” he asked, no smirk in sight now as his eyes pinned you in place. You licked your lower lip, looking at him under your lashes as your hands smoothed up his chest.
“Your soul. But the way I see it, you already sold yours to Rawlins a while ago and now you're suffering. This way, you get what you want,” you shrugged and you could practically feel the hope radiating from him.
“My soul…? And what does that mean? What happens with it?” he asked curiously. You sighed a little, looking off for a moment as you tried to figure out how to word it. This was always the hardest part, the part where sometimes people tried to resist. His fingers tightened on your hips and forced your eyes back to him and he raised a brow at you. He was lucky you thought he was so handsome, anyone else giving you that sassy look would be up in flames in seconds.
“It would belong to me. When it's time to collect my debt, your soul would be mine.” you answered, purposely not telling just what that entailed because you knew he didn’t like to not have control, you knew he’d struggle with it.
“How long would I have?” he asked and you could tell by his voice he’d already made his mind up. It made you smile softly.
“Five years,” you supplied. He inhaled sharply, his Adam's apple bobbing as he looked away.
“That's it?” he asked, a despondent tone to his voice.
“You’re lucky you're getting that. I usually only offer two,” you replied with a shrug. You meant it too. You weren’t quite sure what it was about the man that had you being so lenient with him, had you giving him more time that you usually bothered to give. He exhaled a shaky breath, nodding to himself before he looked back at you, a determined look on his face.
“I’ll do it,” he said firmly and you grinned at his acquiescence. You leaned in and kissed him deeply, causing him to groan as his hands slid around to your back, holding you closer.
“How do we… uh…” he asked, sounding uncertain once you broke the kiss and you smirked darkly before moving off him.
“How do you think?” you asked wolfishly, holding a hand out to him. He looked at it for a moment before he took it and stood.
You kissed him and he kissed you back just as desperately. There was something lighter about him now, the prospect of getting a do-over setting a fire inside of him. Before long, you were both free from your clothes and you were straddling him on the bed. Part of you wanted to drag this out, to make your time with him last as long as possible, but this was a job and you didn’t want him to change his mind about this. Usually, the souls you took didn’t belong to you, they just got sent down to hell. But you’d make sure your contract with him made it clear he belonged to you, you wouldn't be sharing this one with anyone. Daddy dearest wouldn't be happy about it but he shouldn't have given you the authority to make such a move to begin with. You were once again struck by the sheer possessiveness you felt over this human. You’d never felt anything quite like it. Not wanting him to change his mind, you leaned down, capturing his lips in a sinful kiss as you sunk down onto his hard and wanting cock. The pair of you moaned and his hand wound into your hair as his kisses turned more ferocious. You broke the kiss, your hands on his chest for leverage as you started riding him at a punishing pace. His face contorted with pleasure and you committed it to memory, wanting the beautiful image to remain burned in your brain forever. He was the kind of beauty that would inspire works of art. You bounced on his cock, delighted moans leaving your lips as he filled you up in the best way. He let out a dirty groan when you raked your nails down his chest, drawing a little blood and he arched up at you roughly. He looked feral and you felt like your insides were on fire with the pull you were feeling towards him. This wasn’t exactly necessary to complete the contract, if it was you’d barely get any souls. You didn’t get people like Billy very often. One of your hands slid to his throat, tightening carefully and making him gasp in pleasure as his body writhed. He had no idea just what strength lay beneath your hands, how easy it would be to snap his neck with little effort. You felt your climax coming quickly and it caught you off guard, your moans getting louder and more frequent. Your hips were stuttering as your head became cloudy with desire and he used his grip on your hips to lift you and slam you back down onto his cock roughly. Your eyes snapped open, once again black but he showed no signs of fear this time as he rut up into you, his top lip curled like an animal. You smirked at him before he cried out in pain, his body tensing as words started to litter his body, bright as the flames that were putting them there. You moaned loudly as you came hard around him, seeing your contract over his skin claiming him as yours pushing you over the edge. And despite the pain he was in, he came with a loud roar, his mouth hanging open as his body shook. You were panting as you watched his eyes flutter shut, his head lolling to the side as he passed out under you. You leaned down, placing a soft kiss to his lips before climbing off him. The words that had been branded into his skin were invisible to the naked eye but you could feel them. You didn’t think you’d ever felt so accomplished for taking a soul before. You climbed off the bed and got dressed, giving him one last look before you walked to the door.
“I’ll see you soon, Billy,” you smirked darkly, slipping out the door feeling like you were dancing on air.

Five years ticked by extremely slowly and you once again found yourself doing things for Billy you never did with any of the other humans you’d made a contract with. You’d observed him carefully, watched over him in the years that went by. He’d built Anvil from the ground up with no help from Rawlins and Frank had been his partner in all of it. He was living the life he’d wished to have and he was happy. Knowing that Billy turned down Rawlins' offer and that the man was planning on taking both Billy and Frank out for their part overseas, you'd dealt with Rawlins personally. You'd had a lot of fun with the man, making sure he regretted everything he ever put Billy through, even if he didn't remember most of it with the new timeline. You stood at the corner of the street, watching as Billy sat outside at a cafe with Frank and Curtis as they ate lunch. The three of them were chatting away and laughing and you felt a bitter pang of something rip right through you. Never once, even with your pesky fragment of soul, had you wished to be human again. Never had you felt so wretched to be a monster. Watching Billy like this, you just wanted to be a normal girl by his side. To just be Y/N again. You growled to yourself before you turned on your heel and started to walk away. It was time to collect but the excitement that had been fueling you on had simmered into something else you couldn't quite place and you didn’t like it. You made your way to Anvil, knowing he would be back soon from lunch. You drew some attention when you waltzed in and as you slipped through the doors to the back rooms, Billy’s PA looked up at you. Before she could open her mouth to say anything, you waved your hand and her eyes went vacant for a second. Once it cleared, she blinked slowly before shaking her head to herself, ignoring you completely as she went back to clicking away on the keyboard and you slipped into his office. You moved over to his desk, looking over at the pictures there of him with the Castles and feeling something gnawing at your chest. You felt his presence as soon as he entered the building and you turned around, leaning back on his desk as your eyes stayed glued to the door. When it opened, he stopped abruptly as he saw you.
“Y/N…” he murmured with a shaky voice, shutting the door slowly before he stood in front of it. He seemed surprised to see you somewhat but you knew deep down he wasn’t. Not completely. Your contract with him forged a bond and you knew he’d been waiting for this day. He’d been dreading it.
“Hello, Billy,” you smiled, tiling your head at him. He looked so different from when you’d met before. Now in his suit with his perfectly styled hair and scar-free face. You wouldn't say he was more beautiful now but he was definitely happier, it was radiating off him. And you were here to take all of that away from him. He didn’t say anything as he stared at you and you pushed off the desk, trying to ignore that itching in your chest as you looked at his slightly panicked face.
“It’s time,” you said firmly, squaring your shoulders to steel yourself. His mouth opened and closed for a second, his eyes drifting to the closed door.
“I… Can I… Can I at least say goodbye?” he asked and the sheer hopelessness of his voice felt like someone stabbed you through the chest. You clenched your jaw and blew out a breath. You should tell him no, that wasn't how things worked and this wasn't on his terms. You should make it perfectly clear that he belonged to you and he was lucky. He was lucky because usually you didn't come to collect yourself. Usually, your hellhound did that for you and death by being ripped to shreds by a hellhound was a very traumatic way to go and you’d saved him from that fate by coming here yourself. You couldn't bring yourself to say those things to him though as his dark and damp eyes bore into you, your usual confidence and authority that you wielded like the dangerous weapon it was seemed to be non-existent right now. You turned around, gritting your teeth as you grabbed a pen and scribbled your current address onto a post-it note. You tore it from the others harshly, hating whatever it was you were feeling. Hating that you felt anything at all. You turned back around to face him, walking over and handing him the post-it note.
“You’ve got until tonight. Come by my place when you’re done,” you muttered, your words harsh though. He nodded shakily, blinking at you.
“Thank you,” he breathed and you forced the growl that wanted to leave your lips down as you stormed past him and slammed the door. You shook your head at yourself as you swiftly left the building and made your way to your apartment. You couldn't make sense why you were breaking so many rules with him. He was just a human. You’d never felt anything for any of them that you made a contract with and it was making your head hurt.
When you got back to your place, you sat on the sofa in silence as you tried to understand just what was going on with you. You couldn't place anything you were feeling because you weren't used to feeling much. It couldn't be guilt, not when you’d already been so merciful with him. You’d been so excited for this, waited on bated breath for the day to come when you got to take him with you, to be the one to play with him until your heart's content. So why did you feel like this? At 11 pm, your door knocked and you stood up, feeling something suspiciously like nerves prickle at you. You sneered at yourself as you moved to the door and swung it open. Billy was there but the happiness you knew he’d had earlier was gone. He looked wrecked, his face damp from tears and looking so devastated your chest felt tight. You blinked slowly at him before you moved to let him in, shutting the door behind you as he stood there anxiously.
“What's gonna… what's gonna happen to me?” he asked shakily. You’d purposely avoided it before but it wasn't like he could back out now. The contract was done so you didn’t need to be afraid he'd change his mind. It was far too late for that.
“I’m gonna kill you… I’ll make it painless. Then you’ll be going to the fire and brimstone downstairs with me. You belong to me so I’ll be the one to torture you. Eventually you’ll have a choice to make… you can continue to suffer for the rest of eternity or… or you could give up your humanity and become like me,” you murmured. You could feel the fear radiate off him in waves but worse than that was the utter devastation over what he was leaving behind. He ran a hand through his disheveled hair, his breathing coming in sharp and fast as he nodded.
“Okay… okay… I’m ready,” he muttered, not sounding ready in the least. You stepped closer to him and he tensed, closing his eyes as his jaw clenched. You frowned to yourself, his sadness felt like it was smothering you, like it was choking you and you hated it. You moved to lay your hand over his chest, hating the tightness in your own as you looked at him. Tears rolled down his perfect cheeks, his eyes still closed as he awaited whatever hell you were about to bring him. Your own distress had the paintings on the wall vibrating and it was taking all of your willpower to stop the apartment building from falling down around you. He cried out in pain and your lower lip wobbled a little, your hand not leaving his chest as he yelled and almost fell over. His skin lit up like the first time, only this time, the words started to fade from his skin slowly. When you were done, he fell to his knees before blinking up at you confused, swaying where he knelt from the pain.
“You need to leave,” you insisted firmly, unable to look at him any longer. You felt like you were wound so tightly that you were about to snap.
“What?” he asked confused, his voice raspy and raw. You sniffled, wiping your face to find horribly enough, you were crying.
“Get out! The contract’s gone!” you yelled, making him look at you in shock. The walls started to tremble like a small earthquake was sweeping through the place and he grabbed the wall to help him stand on shaky legs, looking confused and lost. You knew he wanted to ask why, that the question was on the tip of his tongue, but as the walls shook harder and the lights started to flicker, he gave you one last look before he made a mad dash to leave the apartment like he thought you might change your mind. The second your door shut, you let out a rageful yell and the entire building groaned. You could hear car alarms going off in the street as you fell to your knees on the floor. You were going to get in so much trouble for this, you knew you were. You’d be dragged back down there to be on the receiving end of the torture for a while yet for some reason, it felt better than having Billy in your place. You whimpered as you felt it, the call from the big man downstairs as he summoned you. Years felt different down there, one year felt like a hundred. You wondered if he’d torture you so much that the remaining part of your soul would be gone but you knew he wouldn’t be merciful with you, not with what you’d done. You still weren't quite sure just why you’d done it. Unsure why you had allowed a simple human to affect you so deeply.
It was supposed to be simple. You offered them whatever they wanted and you got their soul in return. You’d forget about them soon after and it would be up to your hellhound to collect them and someone else downstairs to deal with them. Yet, from the moment you laid eyes on Billy, he’d been different. There had been a pull to him like no other, a pull that had you breaking all the rules just to make things easier for him. Why did you care enough to make things easier? Why did you care to give him more time than people usually got? Why did you care so much about how wounded he was to leave this life behind now he finally got his happy ever after? You were ruthless, brutal. Your name had been nightmare-inducing for centuries with the things you’d done. You’d killed people just for the fun of it, relished in taking away things people loved just to see them hurt. Fear, pain and suffering were your heroin, the things that gave you life. Selflessness wasn’t in your nature, even if you were attached to him for some reason. You’d owned his soul, it had been yours, in writing. Any attachment you felt for him should have only increased the possessiveness you’d felt towards him, making you want him down there with you even more no matter how he felt about it. Instead, you’d broken the contract, to let him live his life until it was his time to go and he’d be doing it all without you. Why the hell had you let him go?

Two Years Later
You hurried down the street, glancing at your watch as you went knowing you’d be late. Your boss really wasn't known for having patience. You heard a car honk and you glanced over your shoulder briefly, drawn by the noise, but it caused you to collide with someone in the street. You squeaked, feeling the world tilt for a second before you were caught by strong hands that helped you stay upright.
“Shit, I’m sorry… Y/N?” the voice asked. You looked up at the man as he let you go, blinking up at him in confusion.
“I’m sorry, do I know you?” you asked slowly, your eyes trailing his face. He was stupidly handsome and wearing a suit that looked like it was made just for him. He had the darkest eyes you’d ever seen and he was breathtaking. You were pretty sure you’d remember a face like this. A deep frown creased his brows then as he tilted his head.
“Billy… Billy Russo?” he phrased it like a question but you shook your head, it still not ringing a bell.
“Nope, sorry,” you shrugged apologetically. You didn’t think his frown could get any deeper but you’d been wrong and he blinked rapidly, glancing around before his eyes settled back on you.
“I can’t tell if you’re fuckin’ with me or not. You don’t remember me? From two years ago? I sold my soul to you and then you let me go. I went back to your place a few days later to ask why you did it but you weren't there,” he muttered, sounding a little annoyed.
“You.. sold your soul to me?” you asked warily, taking a step backwards without thinking. Of course, the handsome one had to be a little crazy, you weren’t surprised. It didn’t negate the fact he had known your name though and it was mildly unsettling. He was giving you a weird look you couldn't quite place and you wrapped your arms around yourself feeling more than uncomfortable at the exchange.
“Look, Mr… I don’t know you and maybe you need to see a professional or something but I need to go. I’m late for work,” you insisted, giving him a wary look before you moved around him and started to walk hurriedly down the street. You found your eyes drifting over your shoulder, unable to help yourself like a magnet was drawing you. The man, Billy, was already looking at you, standing in the middle of the sidewalk as people walked around him. He looked a mix of confused and sad as he stared at you and something itched in the back of your brain that you couldn't place. You blinked quickly before turning back the right way, not wanting to bump into anyone else. You really needed to get your ass to work, the library books wouldn’t sort themselves.

Billy’s penthouse was spacious and luxurious, a far cry from the simple apartment you could never return to. It looked like it had been ripped right out of a page of some high end magazine, from the neutral color scheme to the expensive looking furniture, the minimalist decor and artwork, and the large floor to ceiling windows that had a dazzling view of the Manhattan skyline.
You couldn’t see the beauty in this city anymore.
Staring out the windows, all your brain could detect from the magnificent sight was the impending threat weaving through the villainous shadows, coming closer and closer. As you stood in front of the thick glass, you almost didn’t recognize your own faint reflection in it. You swore to yourself you would never feel helpless again, but that’s exactly what you felt tonight.
Footsteps sounded behind you, growing louder the closer they came, until they stopped and Billy cleared his throat. When you turned around to face him, he held his phone in his right hand and regarded you with a cautious look, holding it up slightly.
“They found John’s body.”
You should’ve felt sad. You should’ve felt something. But you didn’t. Billy was eyeing you warily, trying to decipher your reaction, or rather lack of one. He didn’t know if you were simply still in shock, and you didn’t know either. You didn’t know what to feel. You weren’t quite numb, but you weren’t raw.
“He’s not gonna stop.”
Billy didn’t break eye contact with you. His apprehension shifted into determination, and he took a step closer, his tone unwavering when he spoke.
“I’m not either.”
You wanted to ask why. Why Billy cared so much. Why he was risking his own life to protect yours. Why was he still here and not running for the hills. But before you could voice any of those questions, he placed his palm on the small of your back and gave you a gentle nudge in the direction of the expansive kitchen.
“C’mon, I’ll make you a drink.”
A few moments later, he held out a small glass towards you, with one clutched in his other hand, both generously filled with a dark amber liquid.
“I don’t have tequila, but I do make a decent Old Fashioned.”
The faintest of a smile graced your lips as you nodded, reaching out with your bandaged hand for it.
“Thanks.”
The strong scent hit your nose before your tongue, making the flavor that much more intense as it slid down your throat, turning into molten lava in your stomach. There was a faint citrusy aftertaste from the orange slice floating between two square ice cubes.
As he took a sip from his own glass, Billy watched you intently while you glanced around the kitchen, taking in the black granite countertops and dark marble flooring. After following your line of sight for a moment, he eventually looked at you again with a small amused smile and chuckled. Turning your attention towards him, a look of confusion settled over your features.
“What?”
“I can hear the judgment on your face.”
Granting him another tiny smile, you shook your head slowly, glancing around again.
“It’s…nice”
Billy lightly chuckled, rubbing his hand down his bearded face.
“You never fail to keep me humble, sweetheart.”
“Sorry. If I spent years in a tent in the desert, I’d probably want a fancy penthouse too.”
Billy tilted his head to the side slightly, tapping his finger against his glass. His dark brown eyes slowly moved around the space, like he was taking in his own home for the first time. He had a thoughtful expression on his sharp features, and you were about to say something to break the silence when he finally spoke.
“I grew up in a group home.”
Billy met your eyes again, and he could see the shock and surprise in them. That was the last thing you had been expecting him to say, and he could see it.
“I’m sorry-”
“Don’t be. Made me who I am. Made me more tenacious in goin’ after I wanted, no matter what it took. And now, everything I want is right here.”
He gestured around loosely with his hand holding onto his glass, and you weren’t sure if it was a coincidence or not that he ended that statement while looking right at you.
“Everything?”
Your voice was quiet when you asked him that, but it sounded loud in your ears due to the silence in the grand space. Billy didn’t look away from you. He gave you a faint nod of his head, and there was a look in his dark eyes you couldn’t quite read, but it made you shiver.
“Almost.”
Maybe it was the grief. Maybe it was because you were scared. Maybe it was because Billy was the only person you had in this city right now, in the whole world it felt like. But you felt vulnerable, exposed to the chill of loss and bite of terror that nipped at your bones that had been stripped bare. You were exhausted, not just from the attack, but from running and looking over your shoulder for so long. The emotional burden of your past and present was growing so heavy it felt like you couldn’t breathe. There was this massive weight on your chest, and all you wanted to do was let go, just for a little while.
Feeling the familiar warm sting pricking at the corners of your eyes, you set your drink down on the counter and surged forward, and Billy didn’t hesitate to abandon his own drink to pull you in with both arms. For the first time in so long, you felt safe. You felt secure enough to let the facade drop, letting all those pent up emotions out, flowing freely to soak through his shirt. You didn’t have to pretend with Billy, and you hadn't realized just how exhausting it had been to keep holding up your own carefully crafted mask.
Billy didn’t owe you anything. He had every reason to stay out of this, and every reason to leave you to fend for yourself. But he didn’t. He chose to be here. He chose to do all of this. And despite everything, he was choosing you, and you couldn’t wrap your head around that.
“I’m sorry-’ “Don’t. It’s alright.”
Pulling back slightly, Billy gently cupped your face in his hands, brushing the tears away from your cheeks. There was no pity in his gaze, no flicker of regret or apprehension. The tone in his deep voice was firm, and the cadence was smooth as ever as he delivered reassurance you hadn’t even realized you were craving.
“You ain’t gotta hide. Not from me.”
All the conflicting emotions rushing through you currently were so overwhelming, and so many of them were negative.
You just wanted to feel something good.
Staring up into his dark brown eyes, searching them for answers to questions you didn’t even know how to ask, a wave of longing crashed over you, carrying you away from the logical side of your brain to float in the middle of just pure feeling. Grabbing onto the back of his neck, you swiftly pulled Billy down to kiss him. It wasn’t soft or tender; it was deep and needy, insatiable with a hunger only he could satisfy in that moment. It didn’t grow steadily like an ember being wafted beneath perfectly positioned kindling in a fireplace, controlled and contained. It blazed all at once like a lit match being tossed onto gasoline soaked wood, erupting in a hasty bonfire, burning hot and high enough to reach the heavens.
Billy allowed himself a moment to enjoy tasting your lips before abruptly breaking the kiss. He pulled back to catch your eyes, both of you already lightly panting.
“Sweetheart-”
Whatever in his voice was supposed to sound like a warning or concern just sounded like barely concealed desire, and it fueled your need further. You didn’t want rational thinking. You didn’t want figuring out the next step. You wanted out of your own head.
“Please.”
Billy couldn’t deny you a damn thing if he tried, certainly not when you begged in that breathless voice. Immediately his hands tightened their grip on your waist, and he pulled you flush against his body. With all the consent he needed to continue, he leaned in and kissed you like he was trying to steal the very elixir of life from your lungs. He backed you up until your back hit a wall, parting the seam of your lips with his tongue, demanding entry. His hands were everywhere, roaming over your lower back down to your ass to squeeze firmly, slipping under your shirt to brush against the soft skin of your waist, grabbing your hips once again to lift you without warning.
Instinctively your legs wrapped tightly around his waist, and one of your hands slipped through his gelled back raven strands that were surprisingly soft instead of stiff, while your other kept a tight grip on the back of his neck. Billy caressed your tongue sensually with his own, his teeth gnashed against yours in hunger, and he nipped at your bottom lip almost hard enough to draw blood. He blindly carried you down the hall towards his bedroom, bumping into walls and doors along the way, kicking his bedroom door open with his foot.
He refused to let go of you or break the kiss, keeping one arm securely wrapped around your back while his other reached for the bed, laying you down beneath him as he instantly climbed on top of you. The two of you seemed to be lost in a dark red cloud of lust, driven purely by instinctual and primal desire, in a frenzy to satisfy your mutual craving.
Billy’s bedroom floor was quickly decorated in each of your articles of clothing, until there was nothing left separating his heated bare skin from yours. His firm chest brushed against your sensitive nipples when he covered your body with his own again, and it drew a soft noise from the back of your throat. He forced your thighs apart with his knee as his teeth grazed over your pulse point before sinking them into your neck, making you grip his biceps and let out a sharp gasp, arching your back slightly in the process.
His warm tongue snaked out to glide over your flesh, soothing the sting of his bite, causing you to shiver and goosebumps to prickle your skin. Billy reached down between the two of you, grasping his achingly hard cock, teasingly gliding his thick girth through your soaked folds to coat himself in your wetness. He pressed his forehead against yours, and his pupils were blown open so wide with lust that his eyes looked black as night.
“I’m not gonna be gentle.”
A shudder went through you at the husky warning in his deep voice, and a rush of excitement tingled in your nervous system at the potential of that promise. You didn’t need gentle. You didn’t need slow and sweet and romantic. You needed to be fucked, hard. So hard you wouldn’t be able to think about anything else other than him. So rough you wouldn’t be able to feel anything other than him. You needed this.
“I don’t want you to be.”
As soon as those words left your lips, something in Billy snapped, and he transformed right before your eyes. He wasted no time in forcefully pushing his hips forward, filling you in one swift thrust, nearly knocking the breath out of your lungs as he abruptly buried himself deeply within your snug warmth. He didn’t give either of you a moment to adjust or savor anything. Pulling your legs around his waist, allowing him to angle his hips and thrust even deeper, Billy quickly started to fuck you at a brutal pace.
“Fuck, you feel so good.”
Billy grit out through his teeth, his face contorted in absolute hedonism. He tore moan after moan from your parted lips with every powerful snap of his hips, the sound of skin slapping against skin echoing in the spacious bedroom, almost rivaling your vocals. Billy grunted in your ear, gripping onto your hips and thighs, digging his blunt fingernails into your skin, grasping at whatever he could and embedding himself in every inch of you. His teeth left several more marks on your neck and shoulder, decorating your skin in bruises like he was draping you in precious jewels.
“This what you wanted, sweetheart? Huh? This what you needed?”
Billy brought his hand up to wrap tightly around your throat, applying just enough pressure to capture your full attention. It didn’t send you into a panic like Roman’s hand around your throat used to. Billy wasn’t squeezing hard enough to hurt you. He wasn’t trying to hurt you. He was giving you what you wanted, what you asked for. Billy was in control, but he was willingly submitting to your desire.
His forehead was pressed to yours, and he was staring down into your eyes that were wide with raw desperation, reveling in the way that your mouth was hanging open, nothing but echoes of the pleasure that he was bringing you leaving them. All you could do was nod, but that was enough for Billy. He wanted more. He needed more.
“Say it.”
His voice came out in a low growl, and your nails sank into his back in response, leaving your own crescent shaped marks behind in his skin that earned a soft hiss from Billy.
“Y-Yes…yes…”
He nuzzled his nose against yours, making a low sound in his throat, capturing your top lip in a messy kiss.
“Good girl.”
You didn’t know you could be affected by two little words so much, but the praise sent electric shocks right down to your core, and the only signal your brain could send to the rest of your body was more more more.
“Billy-”
His name left your lips in a strangled moan that seemed to get caught in your throat, and the sinful sweet sound made Billy’s cock twitch inside you as he continued to piston his hips.
“Say it again.”
“Billy-“
This time it didn’t get stuck. It erupted from the depth of your chest, carrying with it a note of exigency interwoven in a clear plea. Hearing it again made something dark sparkle in Billy’s eyes, his top teeth raking over his bottom lip before he leaned in to drag his tongue along the underside of your jaw.
“That’s my girl. You need to come, don’t you sweetheart? This pretty pussy needs to come all over my cock, doesn’t it?”
Managing to slip his hand between your bodies, Billy’s fingers found your sensitive clit and began rubbing furiously back and forth, making you jolt and cry out as your jaw went slack. He was relentless, fucking you hard and fast without mercy while rapidly strumming your clit at an inhuman speed, causing a tremor to spread in your thighs.
The relief you so desperately needed was right there, just within your reach. You clawed at Billy’s back, the only way you could communicate for him to not stop. Your moans were incoherent, rising in pitch and volume, becoming more and more breathless as that balloon of pleasure grew and expanded within you, taking up space in your ribcage and pressing against your lungs.
“Be a good girl and come for me. Don’t you dare hold back. Let it all go. Let the whole goddamn city hear you. C’mon, pretty girl. Let me have it.”
When that balloon finally burst, your eyes nearly rolled into the back of your head, and all at once, the tightly coiled tension in your body melted away into pure bliss, leaving you feeling completely boneless and relaxed. The waves of ecstasy that had been built up catapulted you into the stars when they finally crashed down, causing you to explode like a firework, raining down in tiny burning sparks of white hot gratification.
Billy let out a feral grunt in your ear as his hips stuttered, slamming into you hard one final time, tightening his grasp on your neck with a groan of relief when he reached his own climax hearing the way you called his name like a sacred prayer. It was the most intense orgasm you’d ever had, shattering you into a million pieces in his silk sheets.
The bedroom felt ten degrees hotter, and it smelled like sweat and sex and Billy’s expensive cologne. He nuzzled his nose against your neck as he slowly let go of it, the coarseness of his beard rubbing against your sensitive bitten skin making you shiver. His lips were considerably more gentle as they trailed along your jawline, his voice murmuring sweet nothings into your ear that your fuzzy brain couldn’t focus on at the moment.
All you could do was feel.

“Billy?”
“Hm?”
“Why did you say six cameras?”
Billy’s hand that was slowly carding through your hair paused, and you lifted your head from where it was laying on his chest to look up at him. His lips parted before a furrow nestled between his dark brows.
“What?”
“Earlier, at the hospital. You said there were six cameras in the apartment. I thought there were only five.”
Billy looked at you silently for a moment, that same indecipherable look in his eyes from the kitchen. Softening the creases along his forehead, he brought his other hand up to run through his raven strands, pushing them back into place with a faint shrug.
“I meant five. I don’t know why I said six. There was a lot goin’ on, guess I got confused.”
A faint buzzing noise abruptly sounded on the nightstand, and Billy glanced over at his phone, turning his body slightly to pick it up and read the notification before muttering under his breath.
“Shit.”
“What is it?”
When he sat up, you had to untangle yourself from him, and you looked at him curiously as you sat up too, holding the sheets over your naked chest. Billy typed something on his phone with a serious looking expression before locking it and turning to look at you.
“I gotta head to the office right quick.”
“What? Right now?”
Glancing at the digital clock on the nightstand, the red glowing letters showed that it was eleven thirty at night. Billy gave you an apologetic look before he leaned in to press a soft kiss to your forehead, softly cupping your face in his hand.
“Downside of ownin’ your own company sweetheart, you gotta be available at all times to put out the fires. I’ll be quick, I promise.”
Watching as his naked body slipped out of bed to start getting dressed, you glanced down at the silk sheets you were tangled in for a moment, feeling a pit of unease at the thought of being left alone. Your mind started to wander, and in a matter of seconds, you were spiraling with worst case scenarios. Lifting your head to look up at Billy, you hesitated to ask the question you didn’t know if you wanted the answer to or not.
“Does this…does it have anything to do with-”
Billy immediately paused in the middle of zipping up his pants, turning his head to look at you. He could see the worry written clear as day on your face. Pressing his knee onto the bed, he reached out and cupped your face in his hand once again, brushing his thumb along your cheekbone.
“Hey, everything is alright, yeah? Just relax, sweetheart. Don’t worry your pretty little head. I’ll be back in an hour, tops. I promise.”
»»——— ———««
In the midst of rummaging around in Billy’s fridge, you heard the front door to the penthouse open and close in the distance. Glancing at the clock on the microwave, you saw that it wasn’t even midnight yet. Billy hadn’t even been gone twenty minutes. Closing the doors of the stainless steel fridge, you started to walk out of the kitchen, your bare feet padding along the cold floor as you rounded the corner and headed towards the foyer.
“That was fast. I guess it wasn’t that-”
The second your eyes landed on him, you froze. Fear trickled through your nervous system, leaving your limbs numb, and your feet seemingly rooted to the floor.
“You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
Roman’s voice had a hint of humor in it, but his face showed no signs of amusement. His eyes roamed over your figure, slowly looking you up and down, taking in your bare feet and legs, and the wrinkled white dress shirt covering your body that clearly did not belong to you. When his intense stare landed on it, the edge of his top lip curled faintly in a snarl, and then he quickly met your shocked and terrified expression again.
When you had first met him, you’d thought Roman had the most beautiful ocean blue eyes. But then you’d seen them cold and full of rage so many times that they lost their beauty. They no longer looked like two sparkling sapphires; they made you feel like you were staring into the eye of a perilous storm.
He’d grown out his light brown hair, and it was messily slicked back, a few curls sticking out around his neck. Instead of the usual clean shaven face you were used to seeing that made him look deceptively harmless, he’d grown out a mustache and the facial hair on his chin. Somehow it made him look older, and more menacing. He didn’t look like the unassuming nice guy you’d once believed him to be anymore. He looked more like the volatile angry man you knew he was.
“Roman-”
“So this is what you wanted, huh? This is what you left me for?”
He completely disregarded the fear trembling in your voice, tilting his head to the side as he looked at you in disdain, gesturing around to the luxurious penthouse with his hand.
“You were never such a shallow bitch before, Cassia.”
“That’s not my name anymore.”
A flicker of surprise registered in Roman’s eyes when you snapped back at him like that. You had never done that before. It was just a split second of surprise, but it quickly became clear that it only incensed him further, and he clenched his jaw as he took a step forward.
“I don’t give a shit what your name is now. You can change your name a thousand times baby, but you’ll never be able to change the fact that you’re mine.”
Swallowing thickly, you clenched your hands into tight fists, ignoring the sting of the pressure it inflicted on the stitches in your palms.
“How did you find me?”
“Oh I’ve been looking for you for three years, baby. I never stopped. Had a little help, too. And last week, I got a picture of you with two words. New York.”
Roman had a smile on his face, but it wasn’t warm or loving. It was a predatory smile a wolf would give a sheep. The knowledge that someone had sent him your picture and told him where you were filled you with confusion. Had he hired people to locate you? You had been so careful for the last three years, at least you thought you had, but someone managed to find you.
And it was a terrifying thought that you had no idea who.
Someone had been watching you, for God only knew how long. A sinking stone of uneasiness settled in the pit of your stomach with that knowledge. But Roman didn’t allow you a second to overanalyze every moment of the last three years to find the mistake that led to this one, to find the face that had been lurking in the background of your new life. He took another step forward, and the inauthentic smile slipped from his face like it had never existed.
“You’re coming home with me, where you belong. Tonight.”
There was an imbalance of emotions warring within you. Even though you were terrified of the man standing in front of you, there was an overwhelming hatred and anger you felt towards him. You weren’t going to cower, not this time. You weren’t going to willingly submit to him and the fate he had planned for you, not like you used to. The old version of you he knew was gone, and you were going to make goddamn sure he knew she was never coming back.
“No.”
Roman looked genuinely taken aback by your refusal, his anger faltering for a moment with shock. You’d never told him no. You’d never stood up to him. But your defiance clearly enraged him.
“Excuse me?”
“I said no.”
Roman stared at you like you’d grown two heads. His face was a murky mess of perplexity and irritation. He let out a harsh exhale through his flared nostrils.
“I don’t want to fight with you-”
The audacity he had to say that instantly set you off, and you didn’t allow him to finish his blatant lie.
“Yes you do. Because it makes you feel powerful, doesn’t it? Hurting me? Makes you feel like a big, strong man? Is that why you killed them, Roman?”
The question seemed to reduce his vexation momentarily to pure ignorance. His face twisted up in puzzlement that was entangled with annoyance.
“What the fuck are you talking about?”
“You murdered four people, you sick fuck. You’ve gone completely psychotic-“
“I don’t know what the hell you’re talking about! I didn’t kill anyone-”
The accusations seemed to piss Roman off, lighting the short fuse on his temper that was sure to explode at any second. You weren’t sure why he was denying it here right in front of you when he’d already confessed over the phone, but you were done playing his bullshit games.
“You want me to leave here with you? You’re gonna have to kill me too you fucking coward. Because that is the only way in hell I would ever go back to Woodsboro with you, you sorry ass mama’s boy.”
Immediately, Roman lunged for you with a growl. He grabbed you by the arm and struck his fist against your face hard, sending you to the floor. Pain instantly started to throb in your cheekbone, but when Roman grabbed you by your hair to tug you up to your feet, you mustered all the strength you could to throw a punch of your own, your knuckles colliding with his nose resulting in a sickening crunch.
He let go of your hair and stumbled backwards with a loud grunt of pain, clutching at his nose. Pulling his hand away to look down at the evidence of your defiance coating his fingers, Roman turned his head to look at you in shock and rage as blood leaked from his nose.
“You fucking bitch.”
Grabbing you once again by the throat, he punched you right in the stomach, nearly knocking the breath out of you, and then he struck you across the face again, sending you backwards to crash through a glass coffee table that shattered into several glittering pieces. Pain shot through so many different parts of your body, you couldn’t even tell which part of you was injured the worst. Roman was on top of you in a flash, wrapping both of his hands around your neck, gritting his teeth as he started to choke you.
Your eyes went wide with panic, and you struggled to breathe, your hands frantically clawing at his arms and reaching up to grab at the collar of his shirt, and eventually his face. He pulled his head back and away from your reach, letting out a grunt as he lifted your head to slam it back down against the floor, causing a throb to resonate in the back of your skull. In a split second, you were transported right back to the night you ended up in the hospital.
It was all too familiar. Roman holding you down, staring down at you with toxic rage in his eyes, his hands restricting all air flow to your brain as he choked the life out of you. Somehow, you’d ended right back up in the place you’d worked so hard to avoid. This time, there were no neighbors to call the police on your behalf. This time, no one was coming to save you. Blackness was slowly closing in on your vision, like the Iris shot of an old movie, signaling the end.
But this wasn’t your ending.
Blindly feeling around on the floor beside you, glass shards got stuck in the gauze that was still wrapped around your injured palm, and your fingertips brushed against a large jagged piece. Grabbing it tightly in your hand, you used every ounce of remaining strength to drive it into Roman’s thigh, and he roared in pain as he let go of your throat, looking down at where you’d just stabbed him. Taking advantage of the moment, you grabbed one of the heavy decorative pieces that had been on the coffee table and struck him across the face with it. Roman fell over onto his side with a grunt, bringing his hand up to his temple that now had a gash in it.
Immediately you began to cough and suck in deep gasps of air, clutching at your chest. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw a revolver tucked into the waistband of Roman’s jeans, and your eyes widened with panic when you saw him start to reach for it. Scrambling to your feet, ignoring the sharp sting of glass shards scratching and piercing your bare skin, you took off running towards the bedroom, slamming the door shut  and locking it before dashing into the large walk in closet. Billy had to have a gun somewhere. You began searching through drawers and cabinets in a frenzy, searching for a gun or a knife, anything.
As you pulled open one of the bottom drawers of a dresser and started to search through it, a flash of white caught your eye, and your breath hitched in your throat.
Grasping the chin of the mask, you tugged on it to pull it out from underneath a thick piece of black fabric. It was the very mask you’d seen earlier. The white rubber stretched in a ghastly expression, emphasized by black soulless pits for eyes and a mouth. Your breathing grew heavy as you grasped the black fabric, and your blood ran cold spotting a tiny shard of emerald green ceramic embedded in it.
All the color drained from your face in horror, the truth spreading confusion and betrayal through your bloodstream like a poison.
It wasn’t Roman.
It was Billy.
You didn’t have time to process that revelation before a loud banging started sounding on the bedroom door, Roman’s angry voice yelling out your name as he tried to break it down. Your eyes frantically darted around the large walk in closet. You still hadn’t found a gun, and you were panicking when the glint of something caught your eye. On one of the shelves, a diamond shaped thick piece of glass sat proudly, engraved with Billy’s name and the details of the award. It looked heavy, and the pointy tip appeared sharp.
Hearing the wood start to splinter under the weight and force of Roman’s relentless effort to break it down, you snapped out of your panic and shock, and in a split second, you made a decision. Pulling the black robe on hastily along with the mask, and the gloves that had been balled up in the middle of the fabric, you stood and swiped the award off the shelf. Slipping out of the large walk-in closet, you pulled the door shut just slightly, leaving an intentional crack in it. Just as the bedroom door had burst open, you’d snuck into the dark bathroom, hiding in the corner behind the door, the black robe keeping you concealed in the shadows.
Roman’s footsteps were heavy and angry, and you could even hear how hard he was breathing.
“You stupid whore. Where you gonna run now, huh? You got nowhere to go. Nowhere to hide. You’re locked in here with me baby.”
You kept your breathing as quiet as possible, and the mask aided in muffling the sound. A humorless chuckle sounded from Roman, and you heard his footsteps leading him exactly where you wanted him.
“You know, you can pretend all you want, but you haven’t changed. You forget baby, I know you. Better than anyone. You haven’t changed, and you haven’t learned a goddamn thing. You’re still that stupid little girl, always running for the fucking closet-”
Roman kicked the door of the closet open, aiming his revolver towards where he thought your cowering form would be. A crease of confusion nestled between his brows as his stormy blue eyes glanced around, finding the space empty. Gripping the door handle in his other hand, he yanked it forward and pointed the gun towards the corner behind it, but to his annoyance, you weren’t there. Shoving the door against the wall, he angrily looked around the large walk-in closet, looking over spots he might have missed while blinded by rage.
Silently slipping out of the bathroom, you slowly stalked towards him, the thick glass heavy in your gloved hand. Roman was standing in the doorway of the closet, his broad shoulders taking up most of the frame, his back to you. Clutching the award tight in your hand, you raised it slowly, and with a feral yell, you drove the sharp end right into his back, making him drop the revolver and shout in pain as he reached behind him. As soon as he turned around, you let out another yell as you struck him across the head with it as hard as you could, knocking him down to the floor.
Blood immediately started to flow from a fresh cut above his eyebrow, and Roman grabbed at his head as he turned onto his back, grunting in pain. But as soon as he looked up and saw you standing there in the black robe and Ghostface mask, the bloodied award grasped in your gloved hand, his blue eyes widened, and his face paled. You saw an emotion paint his features you’d never seen in Roman before.
Fear.
Power surged through your body, electrifying every nerve ending inside you. Grasping the mouth of the mask, you slowly pulled it up and over your head, staring down at him in pure hatred, your chest heaving from how heavy you were breathing. The anger pumping through your bloodstream was more intense than anything you had ever felt. Standing above Roman, staring down at him and seeing him being the one cowering on the floor looking scared, it awoke something dark in you that had always laid dormant, waiting for this moment.
“I have changed, Roman. The girl you knew, is dead. I fucking killed her.”
Roman slowly held his bloodied hands up, his wide blue eyes staring up at you as he began to plead.
“Cass…baby…just let me-”
“And I am not locked in here with you. You’re locked in here with me. Only one of us is walking out of this room alive, and it is not fucking going to be you.”
Before he could say another word, you dropped to your knees and struck him with the thick glass again. Climbing on top of him, you let out another feral scream as you started to strike him, over and over and over, unleashing every ounce of pent up rage that had been festering within you, bubbling up to this eruption. Everything all came rushing back at once. Every sharp sting from a slap, every taste of blood in your mouth from his fist connecting with your face, every broken bone from being thrown to the ground, the physical and metaphorical loss of your voice when he crushed your windpipe, the paralyzing fear that had caused you to uproot your life and change everything about yourself, the isolation that had come with it, and the fear for your fucking life; all of it fueled your unhinged retaliation.
You didn’t stop. Not when he begged, not when he held his hands up in defense, not when he cried out in pain. He had never stopped, not with you. You repaid him in the exact same ruthlessness he’d always shown you, until your arms ached and the face you used to be terrified of in your nightmares was reduced to a disfigured pile of meat and bone.
Dropping the award to the ground with a loud thud, your eyes were wild and your pupils were blown wide open, like a feral animal after an attack. Your chest was heaving from the physical exertion and your lungs felt like they were on fire. A twisted sense of euphoria spread through you like a wildfire, and that heavy weight of fear that had been suffocating you was finally gone.
A sudden noise made your head snap up. Billy was standing in the doorway of the bedroom, his gun grasped tightly in his right hand. His dark brown eyes glanced down at the lifeless body beneath you and the puddle of blood surrounding the carnage. His gaze slowly wandered over the sight of you in the black robe, the Ghostface mask forgotten on the floor behind you, the bloodied award of his on the floor beside you, and the splatters of deep maroon on your face and in your hair.
When he finally met your gaze, he was struck by the untamed rage burning in your eyes.
He slowly slipped his gun into his holster, raising his hands up in a show of surrender. But he didn’t look scared. Staring up at him, you saw a flicker of what looked like…pride, in his eyes. He was staring at you in awe, like you were the most magnificent creature he’d ever seen. All of a sudden, his lips slowly spread into a wicked grin.
“I knew you had it in you, sweetheart.”
