Jurassic Park 3 AU
This is my JP3 AU, I am a novice writer so be kind but constructive criticism is appreciated. <3
Chapter 1: Montana Dig Site
In the foothills of Montana, Dr. Alan Grant hunches over to examine a recently uncovered fossil, the hot midday Montana sun beating down on him. He lightly traces the femur bone of the creature, brushing away the burning sand surrounding the bone, noticing a fracture in it.
“Billy,” Grant said. “ it was injured. It most likely died in a fight with another dinosaur, or it was left by its pack to die because of its wound. A fracture like this would make it unable to walk.”
Billy looked up from his clipboard and bent down to look for himself. Billy Brennen was a young fit man, standing about five and a half feet tall, with short hair. He took the back of his pencil to point out another break in the animal's vertebrae.
“I think it could do less than walk, I don't think it could move.” Billy studied its ribs and noticed tiny marks on the ribs.
“It was alive when the scavengers got to it. But it couldn't move. I've seen these marks on other fossils, but these ones are smaller and more careful, meaning that the scavengers were wary of the situation.”
“And that's why we keep you here Billy,” Alan said with a laugh. He stood up with a grunt, with his age it was deserved, being a nearly 60-year-old man. “Vicious creatures,'' Alan said under his breath.
“Velociraptor?” billy asked
“You can debunk that it was eaten alive but you can't identify the creature with confidence? Kids these days.” Alan chuckled as he spoke. “You will get there one day. But at least you got it right, have confidence Billy." Alan began to walk away, still lecturing Billy about how he is smarter than he thinks. Billy wrote down all of the notes they made on his clipboard. Smiling at the fact that he got it right. He looked up to Alan, like the father that he never had growing up. Billy had graduated top of his class in paleontology from Harvard University. He was a smart man with a child-like love for these creatures, but it's not like everyone in the dig didn't have the same love for them. Billy is simply intrigued by these giant creatures because they were so different from modern animals, yet they weren't, they have so many similarities to modern birds and reptiles. It's amazing how life changes to its surroundings, life is truly one of the most powerful forces, because no matter what, it finds a way to keep living. He bent back down to continue to study the raptor, noting things like size, estimated age, and what fossils are missing from the animal.
Alan walked into his tent, setting down his tools, and brushed the dust off his hands. He sat in his desk chair and studied his fossil records. He looked at the newest discovery, the raptor. He compared it to the ones he encountered so long ago. He knew how dangerous they were, but they are so different from what they would have been in reality, Ingens monsters only looked like dinosaurs, though they were far too reptilian compared to recent discoveries. That is the issue with bringing back and trying to recreate extinct animals we have never seen, we can never truly know everything about them, so we can never truly have them back. “Damnit Hammond” he cursed.
Alan leaned back in his chair and sipped the coffee on his desk. He checked his watch, seven fourteen pm. Alan began to stand up and head to his bed to lie down. Billy abruptly burst through the entrance of the tent, speaking frantically at Grant. Billy made swift gestures with his hands and ran out of the tent. Grant, still confused by what just happened, was only able to make out “we found something amazing” and to follow him. Grant stood with another grunt and began speed walking out of the door. As Grant exited the tent, the cool dusk air hit his face and he walked towards Billy, rushing him into the tent.
Grant stepped into the lab tent, looking around and seeing all the scanners, 3D printers, and other technology.
“Dr. Grant! Look at this!'' Billy exclaimed with excitement. Alan walked towards him, getting closer to the machine Billy was standing at.
“Alan, we discovered something amazing about velociraptors, look at the screen” he studied the monitor, it showed a velociraptor skull and neck bones, adding 3D modeled muscles, then suddenly it stopped to show a highlighted area of the throat, then continuing to finish the tissue and feathers.
“What is it highlighting?” Grant asked.
“It's a syrinx, they could vocalize, Alan”
“Like birds?”
“Maybe better”
“Incredible…”
“This is something that could be in so many species, Raptors, Triceratops, Procompsognathus, maybe even the Tyrannosaurus”
“different species would most likely have different capabilities for producing sounds, meaning the development of communication could be based on intelligence”
“Raptors being incredibly smart would be able to communicate well, while triceratops would essentially be an oversized rhino”
“This is amazing Billy, this information will fund our dig for at least 3 more years.”
Alan patted Billy on the shoulder and smiled. As he walked back to his tent to turn in for the night, Billy took out his phone and dialed a number. After two rings, someone on the other side answered.
“It's me,” Billy said gravely, “I got something I think you are going to like.”

Liste: Die besten Lieder 2022
23. Men I Trust/Billie Toppy
Locker getippelter Bass, weggetretene Performance, irgendwo hinten leuchten Melodien auf.
22. Pashanim/Kleiner Prinz
18. Alice Longyu Gao (mit Oli Skyes)/Believe The Hype
Fein kuratierter Pop, unanständig gespielt.
17. Muna/What I Want
13. GloRilla/F.N.F. (Let’s Go)
12. Korn/Lost In The Grandeur
7. Tate McRae/She’s All I Wanna Be
5. Paramore/This Is Why
Perfekt pointiert in seiner Ziellosigkeit.
3. Paula Hartmann/Babyblau
2. My Chemical Romance/Foundations Of Decay
1. Kendrick Lamar (mit Beth Gibbons)/Mother I Sober

Just a thought, stranger things x fallout au type thing ykyk. I was playing fallout 4 the other day and my mind just went "hey what if we just throw stranger things at this bcos why not" and so this is what I thought of so far and ig spolier warning about fallout 4 if you havent played or finished it yet. So far the characters I have in mind:
----
Steve and Robin: the sole survivor...err I guess they'd be the duo survivors? They are married but for convenience and tax purposes only, they're very much still platonic and besties. I'll explain later
Shaun/Father: idk yet maybe Henry or Brennen (this means yes synth Shaun will prolly be El but I'm not sure as of yet)
Nancy: Piper Wright
Mike: Nat Wright
Murray: Nick Valentine?
Chrissy: Curie
Eddie: Deacon
Jonathan: Preston Garvey? Mmmmm
Argyle: Mama Murphy
Billy: Kellog
Hopper: Hancock? Preston?
Joyce: Desdemona?
Aaaaand the rest of the party remains as themselves. They're there and Steve and Robin become their step-in parents and the party (with the exception of Will and Mike) in turn have gotten into the habit of calling them Mom and Dad.
----
That's all so far tho I'm not totally sure about some of them just yet, lemme know what you think.

Is he insinuating that He ,Amber,and Colby are in a throuple or Amber with Colby & Billy. Billy used to be super Flirty with Amber but by the way she laughed you could tell its a joke. Honestly if i didnt know Brennen was such a dick i would rewatch his content like i used to because i enjoyed this vid but then again i only watched for Amber. Colby also commented idk if you saw.
Also under ever Colby / Amber comment some girl name Claire had to reply to each one and let everyone know that Colby said he was single and that they're just friends as if he hired her to do that🙄. Some people need to just stop.
Honestly? Idk lol. I figured he meant he, Amber and Colby but who the hell knows with him.
And yes, I saw Colby's comment, and all the replies to it lol.
I never really liked Brennen, but I did sometimes enjoy some of his videos, here and there. Nowadays, he only reels me in with Amber or Colby (and he fucking knows it), but watching this one today, I really had to grudgingly admit that he and Amber were fun.
Oh God. I think I know who you are talking about, because that person does that every time Colby and Amber are mentioned in any comment, ever. Like, chill. 🙄

TRACK BY TRACK BREAKDOWN: Daddy's Country Gold LP by Melissa Carper
Singer-songwriter and upright bassist Melissa Carper has released her new album Daddy's Country Gold today.
Carper’s refreshingly unique style calls to mind greats like Kitty Wells, Billie Holiday, and Loretta Lynn, beautifully conveyed in the grooves of the album’s 12 sparkling gems. Carper enlisted fellow bassist Dennis Crouch (The Time Jumpers) and producer/engineer Andrija Tokic (Alabama Shakes, Margo Price) to co-produce the album and bring her dream to life. Recorded live to tape at Tokic’s analog studio wonderland The Bomb Shelter in Nashville, the album features Crouch (bass), Chris Scruggs (guitar, steel guitar), Jeff Taylor (piano, organ, accordion), Matty Meyer (drums, percussion), Billy Contreras (fiddle), with guest appearances from Brennen Leigh, Sierra Ferrell, and legendary pedal steel maestro Lloyd Green.
Daddy’s Country Gold is a collection of glittering Carper originals of the country, western swing, and jazz variety. From the first notes of album opener 'Makin’Memories,' to the whimsical 'Would You Like To Get Some Goats,' and the heart-wrenching tenderness of album closer 'The Stars Are Aligned,' this lifetime of work, experience, and wanderlust culminates in a beautiful portrait of heartfelt music, written by a road-lovin’ gal who has lived these songs and spent her life playing music for folks that still love the real thing.
We asked Melissa to breakdown Daddy's Country Gold track-by-track to give us more insight into what the songs on the LP are about. Read it below.
Makin' Memories
Most of my songs' inspirations will come just from a beginning phrase or idea and then they will take off from that. With 'Makin' Memories,' the inspiration came from a conversation I was having with a friend, they were joking about 'Makin' memories and keepin' your memories.' I thought it was funny and a good song idea. The first line came to me, 'I'm makin' memories I'd like to remember.' I always have a hard time remembering people's names, especially getting introduced to so many folks at shows and traveling all around, so thus 'Larry and Steve.' Then, of course, there is the whole idea of not remembering what happened when you have had too much to drink, something I may have done a time or two. This is just a fun, lighthearted song that hopefully makes people chuckle. I love Frank Sinatra and this song happened to take on a bit of that Sinatra flair.
I Almost Forgot About You
The idea for 'I Almost Forgot About You' came from a weekend in which I had a very good time and had managed to forget about a love interest that I had been obsessing about. When I got back home that phrase came to me, 'I Almost Forgot About You,' and I realized I had a song there. I just kind of tied in the various lost loves of my life to come up with the rest. The bridge for this song came later and sort of magically. I primarily write without an instrument in hand and develop the words and melody first and then I sit down and figure out the chords after. This bridge I am particularly happy with the spaces and the way the phrasing waits. It came to me that way, and in fact, this entire song had a nice easy flow with the way it all came. I like it when that happens, feels like you are getting help from the universe.
Back When
A lot of my songs are based on my real-life experiences, and with 'Back When,' every single word of that was lived and true. I started writing it a bit after a break up while longing for the relationship I once had with someone, that is--the beginning of the relationship when we were in love and everything was wonderful. It was written with a hopeful desire that things could be as they once were, and though that never happened, I feel like this song does have that hopeful air that maybe 'back when' could happen again, for any relationship that has lost that spark.
Old Fashioned Gal
'Old Fashioned Gal' was inspired by spending some time in the beautiful country of West Virginia. I did receive help from a West Virginian on the names of flowers and such. Before writing it, I had been listening on Sirius radio to a station with old jazz tunes--if I remember correctly--while driving back from a long tour with the Carper Family. Usually, if I listen to a certain style over and over, the next thing I write will have that influence. Like I do with most of my songs, I developed the melody and lyrics first in my head and then sat down to find the chords on guitar. It ended up having a surprising amount of chord changes in the chorus and changing in odd spots rhythmically, but that's what the melody dictated and I like the way it twists and turns and throws you a bit off-balance there in the chorus.
You're Still My Love
'You're Still My Love' is just a sad love song and written from real-life experience. I had been listening to Jolie Holland before I wrote this one and I think it affected the embellishments in the melody. Also, I think Patsy Cline came out, probably from listening so much to Patsy in my childhood. This one wrote itself real quick and I remember camping and sleeping in the back of my van while writing it.
Would You Like to Get Some Goats?
When I wrote 'Would You Like to Get Some Goats' I had a girlfriend at the time whose dream was to have a goat farm. I had fun with double-entendre and metaphors in this one. And it kind of likens the commitment of getting goats with the commitment of marriage. I have heard goats are quite a commitment but they sure are cute when they are little babies.
My Old Chevy Van
'My Old Chevy Van' is an emotional song for me. I inherited my family's 1991 Chevy Van and had been driving it for six years or so when I moved from Arkansas to Austin, Texas in 2009. I drove it around Texas for a year or two and then felt like it was time to sell it as maintenance was getting expensive and it got terrible gas mileage. I had lived in the van at various times, having a traveling lifestyle, and then there were all the memories it held from childhood. At the time of writing the song, both my mom and dad had already passed on. I had no idea when I sold this van how sad I would be because it had such a connection to them. I still wish I had not sold it and just kept it around as a guest house. The seats in back folded out to be a bed and it was quite comfortable to ride in with the luxury bucket seats. I named her 'Barbie' because the pink and purple paint job reminded me of my Barbie van I had growing up. I had been listening to Hazel Dickens a bunch when I wrote 'My Old Chevy Van' and I feel that was influential. This song needed a bridge and my old bandmate, Jan Bell (who knew Barbie), helped me find some lyrical ideas that fit just perfectly for the bridge.
Arkansas Hills
I wrote 'Arkansas Hills' when I was driving back from a Christmas trip to Wisconsin. I started writing it around St. Louis and I did not have a smartphone to give me directions. I had probably scribbled some directions down or was looking at a map and I remember telling myself out loud a few times, so I would remember the highways, '44 West out of St. Louis to 65 South,' and then I thought to myself well that's a nice start to a traveling song. So I started writing it while I was driving down the road, and had it pretty much finished by the time I was pulling into 'my little log cabin' in Arkansas--except I didn't really live in a log cabin, but it sounds good in the song. Donna Farar of Mountain View, Arkansas helped me write a fourth verse, which I felt the song needed. Donna wrote all the lyrics to Willie's big hit 'The Last Thing I Needed the First Thing This Morning' and she actually lives in the middle of the woods in Arkansas in a cabin, so I felt that enlisting her help was a perfect choice.
It's Better if You Never Know
'It's Better if You Never Know' is one of my more recent songs and it was inspired simply by a conversation with songwriters in Nashville at a table in a bar. Once I had moved to Nashville and began co-writing with some folks, I realized you can get a song idea at almost anytime if you are paying attention, just listening to a good phrase someone might say. In this instance, someone said 'It's Better if You Never Know' and someone else said that sounds like a good song. I started trying to write it the next day. I'm getting better at writing songs that don't necessarily have a link to me personally, however, I do believe when a song has that personal link it can have an extra emotional feeling that is conveyed to the listener.
I'm Musing You
'I'm Musing You' came about while I was driving down the road on a road trip. I hadn't written a song in a while and was thinking about how I have often used the same muse or muses to create a song, by thinking back on old times. I thought to myself 'I need a new muse, I need to stop delving back into these old times.' And there was the song.
Many Moons Ago
With 'Many Moons Ago,' a musician friend of mine used that phrase, many moons ago, and I thought wow I like that, people don't use that phrase much anymore, so I decided to write a song with the phrase. I had been listening to a Delmore Brothers tape over and over in my truck and, though I don't even remember the specific song, I know that something from that tape inspired the melody to 'Many Moons Ago.' Often times I will not know what I am copying or if I am copying something, but there is just something present in my consciousness that brings about a certain style or melody. This song doesn't have many lyrics, but I like the simple message it conveys that time does heal and growth occurs and you move on even when you feel you are dealing with something you can never get over.
The Stars Are Aligned
'The Stars Are Aligned' just came from the romantic feeling of a new relationship with a soulmate you have been waiting for. It flowed out just naturally from that first phrase, the 'Stars Are Aligned.' I love the way this one lends itself to a string section in the background, almost Disney princess-like, and I am so pleased with the lovely string parts on this recording. The string parts were written by my girlfriend and first-class fiddler, Rebecca Patek.

I think my favorite thing about TOAFN is when common sense happens. Like Regan tries to bait the kids by asking if they are scared and Jen’s like “Yes! That is a perfectly sensible reaction to The Cairn of Evil Untold!”

backstabber // colby brock
requested by anonymous: Can you do an imagine where colby and the reader are part of a gang. One day you came across another gang and started shooting at each other. The readers gets hit on the arm and Colby turned on his protective boyfriend mode....i love your works btw
A/N: this is such a cool request! I’ve always loved the idea of a mafia/gang version of the boys. That being said, this is vaguely based off of Sinners by quinn-imagines (which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, it is such a good story). Also fun fact, coming up with a name for Brennen’s gang was extremely hard… so I kinda just took his last name and reversed it lol lmk what you think of this story 😊
trigger warning: violence, blood, shoot-out, mentions of death, cursing
word count: 943
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"So... what the fuck is this meeting for?" Colby asked, leaning his back against his car.
On his right stood Sam, arms crossed and eyes glaring at Brennen. Kat sat on the hood of Colby's car, while Y/N stood behind her. Brennen had Jacko on his left, and behind him stood Billy. Brennen's right side was empty, his brother Jake a no show.
The junkyard they were in was old, cars lining every inch of the place. No one could see inside, which was why it was used in the first place. Two exits existed, allowing meetings to occur here on the regular. The XPLR and the Rolyat gangs were rivals, but also friends. Using each other to supply drugs to Los Angeles, they worked without too much violence.
"As you know, my brother is in jail now." Brennen stated, his hands clasped in front of him.
"Yeah, I heard man. I'm sorry to hear that. Did Corey give you the number to that judge? He's been letting our people go for a while now since we caught him with his pants down." Colby smirked, lightly smacking Sam in the arm. Sam's eyes never left Brennen.
"He did, he did. But I'm not here for that. I'm here to get even." Brennen grunted darkly.
"Even?" Sam responded, his brow raised.
"Someone in your group ratted him out to the cops and now they're sniffing around on my territory." Brennen claimed, pointing directly at Colby.
"Why you think it was one of mine?" Colby questioned, stepping towards Brennen.
"Well, it fucking wasn't one of my men!" Brennen yelled, stepping closer to Colby.
"Brennen, you realize that with your brother getting caught, we're also fucked too. The drugs he sold were ours, easily traceable back to our side." Sam replied, pulling Colby back by his shoulder.
Brennen shook his head. "I know how you fuckers hide shit. You probably have it all pinned on him."
"What the fuck are you saying?" Colby cocked his head to the side, shoving Sam's hand off his shoulder.
"It was a set up." Brennen hissed. Jacko and Billy nodded their heads.
"We've had this agreement for over a year now and it's been working well. My people make the drugs, your people sell them. Why the fuck would we screw that up?" Colby argued.
"Because you want all the money to yourselves." Brennen insisted angrily.
Colby rolled his eyes. "Let's be fucking honest here, your little boy band of hooligans barely makes that much money. I have businesses all over town giving me cash. Why the fuck would I fuck your shit up?"
"Ever since you got with that bitch-" Brennen sneered.
"Who the fuck you calling a bitch?" Y/N hollered, moving from behind Kat.
"You sure fucking bark like one!" Jacko yelled, causing Brennen and Billy to smirk.
Colby, Sam, and Kat pulled out their guns. Instantly, Brennen, Jacko, and Billy whipped out theirs too.
Y/N sighed. "Will all of you calm the fuck down?! Brennen, you're Colby's friend."
"Not anymore. Not until you admit to who framed my brother!" Brennen yelled, his gun never moving from Colby.
The tension filled the small lot. No one made a sound. No one moved. Colby glared into Brennen's eyes, Brennen returned the stare.
"Man fuck XPLR gang! Eat shit!" Billy shouted, shooting towards Sam. Sam dodged, jumping to the ground.
In a matter of moments, everyone ducked, hiding behind cars and shooting towards each other. Shots rang out from each side. Y/N hid behind Colby's car, trying to take cover as she had no weapon to defend herself.
"Fuck! Shit! Where's Colby?" She whispered, peeking out from behind the trunk.
She saw blonde hair peek out from behind a car across the lot, a loud bang causing her to duck.
Y/N wasn't fast enough.
A bullet ripped through her forearm, blood splattering onto her shirt. She screamed out in pain. Kat turned her head towards Y/N. She crawled over to her.
"Colby!" Kat called out. Y/N clutched her forearm, blood running in between her fingers as she squeezed the wound.
Colby came running over. "Y/N..."
She glanced up to him, tears running down her face. His eye glazed over, his face hard as stone.
"Whoever fucking shot my girl I'm gonna chop your fucking dick off!" He boomed, shooting multiple times at the Roylat gang members.
The scene grew louder as sirens sounded off, coming closer to the junkyard.
"Aye yo, cops!" Billy yelled, causing all shots to stop. Every member rushed to their cars, getting in them and driving off as quickly as they could. Sam jumped in the driver side of Colby's car. Kat took the passenger seat after helping Colby get Y/N into the backseat.
"Fuck baby, are you alright?" Colby's voice was soft as he wrapped a bandanna around her blood-soaked forearm.
"Yeah. Fuck, it hurts." She grunted, breathing deeply.
"Shit, she's losing a lot of blood." Kat stated, glancing through the mirror as she gripped the dashboard. Sam sped through the streets.
"Go to Devyn's. She can stitch up Y/N." Colby ordered Sam.
"Why would Brennen turn on us like that?" Kat questioned.
"It's one of his boys. They got in his head that I'm his enemy." Colby scoffed.
"He doesn't like competition. He wants to run this town." Sam snapped, shaking his head with rage.
"I'm gonna find out who's fucking doing this, and I'm gonna kill them." Colby demanded, his voice dark. Kat and Sam looked at each other and nodded their heads.
He turned to Y/N, placing his hand lightly on her face, cupping her cheek. "But whoever fucking shot you... they're first."
Long Distance
Requested: yes
Summary: Jake and you are in a long distance relationship. When visiting him in LA he asks you a question that might just change your life forever.
Your Pov:
“I miss you.” Jake said while on face time with me one night.
“I know, I miss you too.” I said back to him while pouting slightly. “But hey, on the bright side your coming to visit me in two months.”
He chuckled lightly.
“That’s way too long.”
“I know but at least it’s something to look forward too. You gotta think positive baby.” I told him trying to cheer him up.
“This is why I love you.” Jake said while leaning in and kissing the camera jokingly.
I laughed and did the same pretending it was him. We talked for another hour before I had to log off and go to bed since it was getting pretty late here in Indiana.
“Alright baby, I’ll let you get some sleep. I love you and I’ll talk to you tomorrow.” Jake said while blowing a kiss my way.
“I love you to babe. See ya.” I said back to him while throwing up a peace sign.
Jake chuckled slightly and ended call. Once I knew I was fully hung up from him I texted Colby. Two months just wasn’t gonna cut it. I missed Jake so much.
You: Hey, I wanna surprise Jake and come visit him early in LA . Do you think you could help me?
Colby: Sure, I can help you. Jake’s been a mess without you haha.
You: I know. He sounded so sad when we face timed tonight. I’m gonna book my flight tonight and I’ll just send you the information so you can pick me up at the airport and take me to his apartment.
Colby: Sounds good. He’ll be so happy to see you he’s been acting crazier than usual.
You: I know, I’ve seen from your guys videos.
Colby and I continued to text back and forth for the next hour until I decided that I should probably get to bed so I wouldn’t be tired the next morning.
You: I’m gonna head to bed. It’s getting pretty late over here. Goodnight I’ll talk to you sometime tomorrow.
Colby: Goodnight:)
------------------------------TIME SKIP-------------------------------------------------------------
It’s been a couple of days since I last talked to Colby or Jake and during that time I’ve booked my flight and started to pack. I leave tonight so I’ve been trying to get everything ready. As I was loading my makeup in my bag my phone pinged signaling that I received a new message.
Jake: Wanna face time? I haven’t seen your beautiful face in a couple of days. I miss you:(
You: Sorry:( I’ve been busy. I’m actually at a friends house rn. I’ll call you when I get home if it’s not late.
I hated lying to him but I couldn’t ruin my surprise.
Jake: Okay:( Have fun and be safe. I love you ❤
You: I love you too❤
------------------------------ANOTHER TIME SKIP SORRY-----------------------------------
I was currently in an uber on the way to the airport. I was so excited to see Jake. Once I arrived to the airport I went through security and customs(have no clue how actual airports work lol) and was finally boarding my plane. While waiting in line I texted Colby.
You: Hey, I’m about to board my plane rn. I should be there soon!
Colby: awesome! Can’t wait, Jake's gonna be so excited to see you!
You: He texted me earlier asking me to face time him. I lied and told him I was at a friends house lol. I want this surprise to be good.
Colby: lmao. That’s why Jake was in bad mood when we hung out earlier. And don’t worry it’s gonna be good. He has no clue that your coming:)
You: haha. Gotta go flights about to board. See ya soon!
Colby: Have a safe flight!
After Colby texted I put my phone in my pocket and headed into the plane. I found my seat and immediately sat down. My legs were killing me from waiting in that long line. Before we took off I put my air pods in and blasted some Billie Eilish and fell asleep.
------------GUESS WHAT ANOTHER TIME SKIP LOL-------------------------------------
I have just gotten off of the plane and was standing in line to grab my luggage. Once I spotted the bright purple suitcase I grabbed it and started to head towards the exit of the airport where Colby was supposed to pick me up.
Once I got outside I immediately spotted his red Toyota Corolla. Running up to the car I banged on the window hoping to scare him.
“Jesus Y/N.” He said while rolling down the passenger side window with one hand and holding the other over his heart.
“You almost gave me a heart attack!”
“Sorry!” I yelled while laughing.
He gave me a knowing look.
“Yeah sure ya are.”
After my mini prank on him I went around to trunk of car and waited for Colby to come and help me put my suitcase in.
Once everything was situated we were off to give Jake the surprise of a lifetime. The car ride over to Jake’s apartment was filled Colby and catching up. He’s always been like another brother to me and he’s the reason that Jake and I met.
Upon arriving to the apartment complex I could tell it was much nicer and cleaner than the trap house was.
“Wow,” I said while Colby and I walked up the stairs to Jake’s floor. “This place is cleaner than the last house.”
He laughed.
“It really is. The trap house was disgusting.”
“That’s cause your the ones who made it that way!” I exclaimed.
“Trueeee.” He said while dragging out the e.
We continued our banter until Colby we reached floor 3. Once inside the hallway Colby lead me to Jake's apartment number which was conveniently right across from his.
“Knock.” He said while pointing to the white door.
I nodded and brought my hand up. My knuckles hitting the hard wood. After a couple of agonizing minutes the door swung open and I was met with a pink hair colored Jake.
“Surprise!” I shouted while throwing my arms around his neck.
“Oh my gosh! What are you even doing here? How did you even get here?” Jake asked in confusion.
“Remembered when we face timed a couple of nights ago? After we hung up I decided that I couldn’t wait any longer to see you so I texted Colby and him and I planned the whole thing out.” I explained to him while pulling away.
“Your amazing and I love you.” Jake told me while pulling me in for a kiss.
“And that right there is my cue to go. Bye guys.” Colby said while heading towards his door.
Jake and I pulled away laughing.
“See ya Colby, thanks for helping me. “ I told him.
“Yeah, see ya brother. Thanks for the surprise.”
He nodded in welcome and closed his door.
“Well, let’s go inside shall we? I’ve been wanting you to see my new place.” Jake said excitingly.
“I cant wait!” I told him with a smile on my face.
After Jake showed me around his new place we decided to just sit and cuddle on the couch since I was a little tired from my flight. We’ve been talking about anything and everything.
“Can I ask you something?” Jake asked.
“Well you technically just did ask me something but sure!” I said jokingly.
He rolled his eyes.
“Haha very funny. But I wanna ask you a serious question and it’s okay if you say no.”
“Okay.” I said unsure of what his question could possibly be.
“You like it here right?”
I nodded.
“Yes?”
“What do you think about taking our relationship to the next step? Do you want to move in with me?”
As soon as those words came out of his mouth my face broke out into a smile.
“Yes! A hundred percent Yes! I don’t think I can do long distance anymore.” I all but yelled to him while attacking his face with kisses.
Jake laughed.
“Perfect. I for sure thought you were gonna say no babe.” He told me once I pulled away from his face.
“Why would I say no? All my friends are over here and I get to see you everyday. Sounds like a win to me.”
Jake broke out into a grin.
“This is why I made you mine.”
And with that he leaned into my lips sealing the deal and our promise of forever.
Author's note: Hey guys! Hope you enjoyed it! Sorry about the ending lol I didn't know how to end it. Sorry about all the time skips also I just don’t know how to do transitions yet. I hope the person who requested this enjoys it! Also sorry for not posting this as soon as I got home. I was super tired and still had to write an essay for college that was due the next day lol. But it’s finally up! I will also be posting two or three imagines on Tuesday to make it up for you guys. Alsooo thank you guys so much for the love on “That’s just Brennen.” It means a lot to me and I didn’t think it would get as many likes as it did, hopefully this one does good too! Anyways that’s enough of me talking and I hope you enjoyed the imagine:)❤😘
