just experienced sleep paralysis for the first time but didnt make the connection right away cause i always thought it would be super distressing and scary

in my case i just woke up and heard pitter patter and rustling paper like something small was walking on my bedroom tiles and going through my project notebooks

couldnt breathe and it was impossible to move and turn on the light, but i thought i was still too sleepy so i was just mildly pissed at myself as well as the idea of something messing with my stuff!!! then i could suddenly breathe again and saw it was nothing

#think its interesting to note here that i just had a dream about some tiny shapeshifting freak who was messing with peoples heads #a small black and white cartoon bunny with some personal vendetta against amy or something #anyway so my only thoughts during this ordeal were ''omg Move already 🙄'' and ''shit is it mice?? sounds too big though and no claws''#''sounds more like a super small toddler as if a doll came to life lolOh fuck what if its that freak from my dream that would be wild''#dreams #<- cataloging for tags at least #venspeaks

The global nature of things can be overwhelming because we have the privilege (yes, it’s a good thing even tho it’s not fun) of seeing all the bad every time everywhere, but on the flip side, I genuinely love that when I fixate on some media (tv, movie, book etc etc) and it’s just mediocre… or horrible…or even absolutely perfect… that there’s someone else out there who’s just as obsessed with it for whatever reason and seeing them express that interest leads me to actually weirdly feel immediate gratification with intense mouse-like glee.

All this to say, I think I’m addicted to tumblr y’all.

It's been a week of many emotional ups and downs with all the doctor stuff (and also I'm pretty sure I'm about to start my period which doesn't help anybody).

Sometimes I'm having a hard time and a friend says something or does something and I'm just overcome with love for my friends and need to lie down a little like I have the vapors.

I'm just having a lot of feelings about the differences between something really hitting your trauma triggers hard when you're alone vs. the same thing when you have people who care about you.

#roommate was like 'Hey do you want the rest of my chaat?' because I was emotionally off-kilter and Indian food makes me happy #Other Roommate shoved chocolate and salmon at me #friend helping me out with cab fare and reassuring me that I am not Making Too Big Of A Deal out of my pain #friend watched Ghostwriter with me on Youtube and tried to get me talking about Doll Discourse to help unfuck my head after the Bad Pain Do #one friend 'Hey can you get me your top five wishlist so I can look for doll stuff for you when I go to that big convention later?'#friends sending me pictures of their pets and asking about my projects #Astraea biting my ankle again - though I'm not sure if that counts as Support #but she is Trying

I LOVE OBJECT HEADS!

For all my life I've loved object heads and any sort of surrealism, i'm so happy they're becoming mainstream enough to have nicely made figures and toys of such.

I definitely splurged on this guy but I got an extremely lucky pull! The colors are extremely boring on this guy but there's a clown motif hidden inside him somewhere. I'm trying to think what I would like to dye the clothes to help that clown come out.

I want to work on making more face plate options (the screen face is removable if you didn't know) and additional head accessories like bunny ear antennas, a single big antenna, or cog shaped bear ears.

I adore them. I'll have to figure out a name for them eventually. I don't typically name my dolls and plushies but he'll be an exception.
