The Mask Rebirth Drawings Part 3

In order.

Samuel Pretorius - Big Bad Wolf.

Stanley Ipkiss - The original Big Head Killer in 2014.

Owen Heffernan. The modern Big Head.

Stanley Ipkiss. During the present time.

Maybe for two hours or whatever, I was drawing these. And with the recent developments. Dorian isn’t really a big deal in part 1. He’s no longer the Big Bad Wolf. And Pretorius is no longer the, “The Mad Sorcerer Of Shadowland”. Instead he starts out human. But my original drawing of him will still count. His first name has changed, and he’s back to his original idea. A scientist basically.

Things are kind of being developed for Pretorius. The drawing I did of him I may likely count as his final look. While his original looks are at first normal clothing, and then he puts together this look that seems like he put together quick maybe. Kind of mirroring his original appearance with his clothing. I’m not sure if I’ll follow through that much.

But also yeah, I gave the Big Bad Wolf the mohawk. XD While Pretorius in Rebirth has long hair. I wanted to change up the Big Bad Wolf’s look a bit. It’s not perfect, and I wanted to draw it like that. I also thought that he does has possibly some orange fur on the side of his arms.

Also, don’t worry. The Big Bad Wolf form of his isn’t a main stay for him. There’s this developing idea it’s the start of his, “Mad scientist” role. Meaning I am trying to have him become a cyborg and the whole spider head thing too. So if you love that, don’t worry. XD

I also wanna say that I changed his first name because there is another character that uses that name.

I really wanna say that Stanley Big Head’s look is maybe the best I’ve ever drew Big Head. Mainly because of the head and he just looks like one of the classics. But maybe modernized or something. 

What’s interesting when drawing this. And even before then if I recall right. I had this idea to basically mix Travis Bickle’s iconic look and Big Head’s first appearance in Mayhem Issue #1.

Trivia, these were the references I used when drawing him. Including that 2nd one if I recall right, a version of that shot.

I felt like instead of drawing him in a suit, I wanted to draw him in something well...three ways to put it. Something more unique, something easier for me to draw, and something that falls in line with Stanley’s time as Big Head. Because his story isn’t like the original Stanley’s. But something else I’ve been talking about a prequel story to The Mask Rebirth. Where Stanley’s time as Big Head is basically if Taxi Driver and The Mask 1994 fused into one film. Especially inspiration from Halloween 1978, and taking Kellaway’s arc from the first official Mask comic run.

I’m rambling on. In a nutshell, Stanley is mainly a good man. But has some issues.  When compared to Owen as Big Head. There’s a reason why I call Stanley Big Head the, “Cartoon Boogeyman” even if he’s an anti hero with mainly good intentions.

I just find it amusing how during development of The Mask Rebirth. Stanley went from more comic accurate version of his original counterpart. Then to a tragic villain that Owen wanted to save. And finally more into a character that while he is a dark mirror of what Owen could have became. He’s a good person at heart, but the dude genuinely has issues who needs help. Rebirth Stanley is like a mix of his movie/cartoon and comic counterparts.

I am glad I finally drew Owen and Stanley. Gonna admit, Stanley looks very similar to his cartoon counterpart. I had almost forgot to give him stubble or so. He’s 28 in that drawing while Owen is either 19/20. I just didn’t want to draw Stanley’s normal animated look. I think you can say this is his casual look. And maybe I could’ve gone better with Owen’s clothing. I’m being critical of myself. I strangely thought to myself I didn’t wanna give his clothing all three of the colors his Big Head has. 

Edit update honestly, Owen’s look isn’t bad. I’m maybe overthinking. I wanna reveal his jacket I got inspiration from Steven Universe when Steven is older. But I do wonder if I should add more color. I’m really overthinking.

You know...I'm not working on any The Mask Rebirth stuff...

But I'm just gonna type these out and mention my bro @kaijuguy19 of what I thought of some minutes ago or something...because...I have thought of some things.

One of the reasons I’m hesitant to go with such an idea is because the inspiration comes from...a Michael Bay related thing. In a reimagining that I had described as, “If a cartoon character just popped up in the world/movie of The Dark Knight” or something like that.

Yet we have masks that contain the souls of Loki, Fenrir, Hel, and Jormugandr that turn the wearers into these powerful beings that can’t die. One of them being a living cartoon character named Big Head. The other a giant werewolf creature. And the one with Hel is used by a famous magician. While Jormungandr’s mask turns the wearer into a giant reptile like man. 

I think the realistic part is how the world reacts and works like the real world. But it’s also me wondering how the fuck am I gonna make sense of Pretorius finding a way to keep himself alive while he can remove his head...and I have said in a draft the idea kind of connects to his ‘Death’ with his head being decapitated by Owen Big Head when Pretorius is the Big Bad Wolf...

But when the mask falls off or is taken off...Pretorius is somehow still alive. Yet his head is off. Like he’s ALMOST immortal because that never happened to a mask wearer.

Back to the point. Also I’m just wondering what the Hell kind of teacher Pretorius was before becoming a straight up mad scientist. The dude is almost like the Scarecrow of The Mask Rebirth and basically the Shredder/Green Goblin/Black Hat to Big Head in this world.

Time I make a joke like I some what told Kaijuguy on Twitter.

Samuel Pretorius, how do take on and possibly kill a nearly immortal living cartoon character without the Mask Of Fenrir now? And what if the plan doesn’t include Walter?

Rebirth Pretorius: Simple. You make a literal metal suit of death. Put multiple weapons on it, stab him, burn him, and so many other things to him...just rip him apart until he gets tired somehow.

Now I seem to love the idea of the suit being called something akin to like, “The Anti Big Head Suit”. And now I’m recalling this police suit Kellaway wore once in the cartoon comics. Yet this time, it’s just so overkill that Pretorius wants to make sure it’s something to take on Big Head.

I'm just gonna reveal this now because I just revealed it to a friend last night.

I do have this in mind. But I question how I'll go about it. There is this idea that Pretorius's mech suit(However you call it) he has in The Mask Animated Series...this thing here.

I have considered of Pretorius making it as a backup thing in case if he didn't have the Mask Of Fenrir. And the mech suit or is basically...inspired by the Bayverse Shredder.

Yeah...it sounds like overkill. But I thought of a joke considering the fact Pretorius is taking on a nearly immortal living cartoon character. And the idea to make that mech suit something akin to that...would make sense. The question of, "How do you take on a and possibly kill a living cartoon character?"

Here's what you do if you don't just wanna use Walter or whatever else...you make a literal fucking metal suit of death.

@kaijuguy19 since Friday, I was wondering about some stuff. But because of watching YaBoyRoshi's reaction video to the God Of War Ragnarok trailer. I had this idea for part 3 of Pretorius helping Skillit bring some other sorts of creatures from the Shadowland into the realm of Earth. Which is Midgard. Resulting in Owen, Stanley, and Davida teaming up against them.

I wanna be honest, I don't know if I'll do that Maskverse idea for a long time. Because I wanna focus on Mask Rebirth. Because that whole Maskverse idea is crazy. Because there's a lot you can do with it. But I'd rather not to do until another time or at all. Because I'd rather focus on the more personal stuff than grand dimensional shit.

But these are the ideas.

1. The main story like before is like a celebration of the Mask franchise and it's different interpretations. But also the main focus of Owen, the mask/Loki, and Leonor making it into the realm of the 1994 to cartoon universe.

Where Owen meets Best Stanley. The idea to Owen, that there's a Stanley out there who is not only using the mask more like a superhero. Yet he's also mentally well, despite he may be a human doormat. But he's doing okay. With possibly them becoming best friends because there's another who understands the responsibility and what he's been through.

Another thing was Leonor meeting another version of her mother Peggy. Who isn't married and hasn't had a child yet.

2. I wanna talk about this the main villain in my idea was basically Rebirth Pretorius wearing the original mask from the Dark Horse comics world. And he's joined by Rebirth Skillit, and the original Dorian from the 1994 film. Who is revived and given the Mask Of Fenrir. Resulting in Big Bad Wolf Dorian becoming a thing again.

Basically them possibly destroying the multiverse or something.

3. The other side that is against them are Owen Big Head, Best Stanley as The Mask. But there's Rebirth Stanley as Serpent Man.

Yet also others like Rebirth Davida Steelmine, Rebirth Bombshell, the original Pretorius and his Walter. But also not only Rebirth Walter.

The original Walter from the Dark Horse comics world who is still alive is kicking also joins them. But all the villains are helping them because it's to save their own asses and other personal reasons. Maybe the original Davida Steelmine is there. Yet there's a lot already.

4. But honestly, I question if I'll go with the original mask on Rebirth Pretorius being the main villain. Because there's this idea to have either a older Ray Tuttle or maybe a surviving Kellaway from, "I Pledge Allegiance To The Mask" helping them out wearing the mask again.

5. Other Mask worlds that would get noticed are Revenge Of The Mask, Itty Bitty Mask, and anything else that is maybe made up or not. And yes...Son Of The Mask is it's own world. But we ignore it.

6. I forgot to mention this and I was talking about Rebirth Stanley. I'm gonna call the original Dark Horse comics world of The Mask the Prime world. Kind of like how the TMNT Mirage comics world was considered the Prime universe/world.

Yeah, the original Mask world is titled Prime.

7. The other thing I wanted to mention is this idea of Rebirth Stanley learning his Prime counterpart had become a villain and died as one. And him thinking Owen may abandon him for a better and more mentally adjusted Stanley which is Best Stanley.

With Rebirth Stanley thinking he may end up like his Prime counterpart. But Owen tells him that's not gonna happen and he's not gonna stop being his friend. With Best Stanley giving out the best advice he can to his Rebirth counterpart. And Rebirth Stanley taking his advice to heart.

8. I had wondered with the idea of the Prime Big Head/Mask being either Rebirth Pretorius wearing it or any surviving Prime characters. There was this idea because of this Maskverse stuff. The timeline of the Prime universe changes. Resulting in, "I Pledge Allegiance To The Mask" to never happen. Meaning Kellaway, Lionel, and Kathy are all still alive.

But I question if I wanna do that. Even though I don't like, "I Pledge Allegiance To The Mask". The point of this crossover was to celebrate The Mask franchise. Even acknowledging Son Of The Mask as a thing that exists. I'm rambling too much.

9. This is kind of silly. It just ends with this song as Owen goes back to his world and wonders if he'll ever see Best Stanley again as they look at each other one last time. Either in their masked forms, or regular ones.

He wonders this because he gained another genuine brother who understands him as well. This is the song I'm listening to.

So I remember imagining this. Imagine Best Stanley in his Mask car or maybe regular car whatever, and Owen is just staring at him from the other side...

It sounds silly, and I genuinely like this movie...

Yeah, I'm not really gonna develop this more. It's a bunch of ideas, a lot of stuff.

This may sound pessimistic. But considering how, "I Pledge Allegiance To The Mask" ended.

I maybe wouldn't be surprised or just think the original Dark Horse timeline of The Mask looks like a barren wasteland. But not really, it's just the world looks...destroyed.

I was thinking about my Maskverse stuff.

Pretorius: Before becoming the Big Bad Wolf. I was already Wolfie from those Tex Avery cartoons. But unlike Wolfie...I got to bone Red Hot Riding Hood.

Owen Big Head: NO! NOT THAT COMPARISON!

Davida: Oh my God! This is perfect!

Bombshell: Is this how you defeat him!? Yes FINALLY!

*Walter just watches while crossing his arms*

Pretorius: You think any of you can destroy this child with stuff like this. I’m sorry, I have experience riding his mother.

Bombshell: Okay, this is kind of getting gross.

Davida: Okay yeah. Even for me...I’m worried he’s gonna start getting into more grosser details.

Pretorius: Hey, I may be in my 50′s. But I still got game.

Davida: That’s not what we are talking about. It’s you...saying stuff like riding.

Pretorius: I know. >:)

Stanley Serpent Man: So he is like Wolfie. But he got to bone-

Owen Big Head: STANLEY STOP IT!

My part 2 of my Spider-Man ideas with Green Goblin is basically a more serious version of these jokes.

Change some of the context, and it will be funny or so.

Finally made a post about it. I had forgotten to talk about it in a post. Edit update Sorry if I sounded rude. It's been years since I saw the special fully. Recently looked up that window part. The two parter is fine.

But again yeah...I don't seem to care for Dorian...and I've thought of ideas that would make...Pretorius seem...creepy or just...something...before I delete it. I'm gonna delete this out of my photos.

Here it is. I couldn't find it. He's not gonna look similar to this. Yet I could change the Big Bad Wolf design.

Also I noticed I put fuck it very closely to Pretorius's name. And I wonder if Pretorius is considered a normal name...last night. I felt like watching the first two Mask episodes but didn't...yet might tonight...

Looked it up...Pretorius seems like it could be a normal name to use and it means, "Leader"......

Damn....

Again...I don't care for Dorian.

Ever since last night, I’m wondering if I should restart my Mask Rebirth stuff again and just…REALLY think about the direction…and some characters of how I’m using them…despite how far I’ve gone.

Mainly the idea of Dorian and what I’ve done with him.

Okay, because I had just thought of something tonight/morning some minutes ago. Like it just recently got into my head before I went into the bathroom.

Yet also, there was something I wanted to speak about on Thursday. But I didn’t talk about it...I’ll talk about the first part.

1. I was thinking maybe instead of using Shredder from TMNT 2014 as inspiration for Pretorius’s mech suit. Durge from Star Wars Clone Wars 2003 had gotten into my head.

But, I’m not sure if I wanna go that route. Again, it’s mainly for the mech suit. Or whatever you wanna call it. Besides, I was thinking of Rebirth Booker Dewitt yesterday when thinking about Durge.

Yet here’s the 2nd thing I wanna talk about.

2. I was thinking on Thursday about giving Pretorius a mask that before the Big Bad Wolf events and Owen Becoming the modern day Big Head. While being Rapaz’s partner, he was very secretive about his identity because of his position as a school teacher. So if he was ever in meetings with other criminals with Rapaz. He would wear a gray/silver mask that would conceal his identity. It’s mainly used for fear and intimidation. And it has red eyes and some sort of spike that in a nutshell, resembles his red eyes and mohawk from the cartoon. And the possibility of some skull mask on the bottom or...whatever.

Strangely my inspiration for it was the Shredder’s head design from the 2014 film and that Batman Vs TMNT movie...

And he still wears it. Even though his identity is revealed. It’s again, used for fear and intimidation.
