Just finished the lotus empire and just as I'd thought..it made me cry. Happy tears. Priya and Malini you have my heart. It was euphoric to get to go on such a magical sapphic adventure. To be witness to women who come from the same land as me be fierce, scary, loyal, unapologetic, unabashed, complex, dark, queer. To watch two amongst them fall ridiculously in love and actually have their happily ever after. Ahh I'll try to ride this high as long as I can.

I'm on chapter 15 of my Jasmine Throne reread, and it's a little alarming how clearly Vikram sees and how little he is willing to do about men who "dream of times long dead, and times that never existed, and [who]'re willing to tear the present entirely apart to get them."

That doesn't sound hideously familiar in the year of our lord 2025 or anything...

The Oleander Sword is truly one of my fave books of all time... Priya, Bhumika, and Malini have me in a chokehold.

I still haven't read the final book, The Lotus Empire, cause I've been waiting on a friend to mail me one they got signed by the author. Tho I might just bite the bullet and stop by a bookstore this weekend... we shall see.
