hi angel!! i saw ur post abt glycolic acid serums and i just wanted to pop by in case this is useful!! glycolic acid is an AHA so if you ever see a product listed as an 'AHA serum' check the ingredients bc it might be glycolic acid. i'm pretty sure drunk elephant has a glycolic acid serum, and i know there's a k-beauty AHA cream (i cannot remember the brand rn i'm so sorry) that i would bet money is also glycolic acid!! but 9 times out of 10 i find that direct acid formulations are in toner form (i don't know why tho??) that being said if you're looking to target skin congestion rather than surface exfoliation, i would recommend a BHA (like salicylic acid) over an AHA. the paula's choice 2% BHA toner worked WONDERS for me personally <3

It is that time of the year or of life (again) in which the reserve of facial treatment products has been so exhausted that the replenishment comes with too many temptations and with every possibility of ending up with an empty wallet at one click distance.

I would say that my baggage with skincare comes from afar, but let's leave it at how much I enjoy taking care of myself, giving myself that little moment every day and most importantly, I am not lazy about it. Apart from covering basic needs, I seek to get my hands on the infinite "sweets" that exist, which is why I am an inveterate defender of niche brands. Think that they have to gain a foothold in a market full of dinosaurs in which they need to stand out. Certainly, I have put together the perfect kit in the last couple of weeks: First of all, I have reintroduced the jewel in the crown, glycolic acid under the apt name of Liquid Gold (ALPHA H) after months of skin rest. The novelty is covered by a salicylic serum with BHA+AHA that looks VERY appealing. The basic one is filled in by the very complete Cicaplast balm (LA ROCHE-POSAY). The adventure comes (watch out!) by the hand of a Korean brand but cooked in Germany: Yepoda. If I'm honest, what encouraged me to try it was the marketing spread out on SM, making them go viral on several occasions, the affiliate policy is brutal! Although the quality of the products is yet to be determined, it seems to be good. Note: always remember to surf a little extra to find the discounts that suits you, this time I have saved more than €100😊

Es ese momento del año o de la vida (otra vez) en el que has apurado tanto la reserva de productos de tratamiento facial que te enfrentas a la reposición con demasiadas tentaciones y con todas las posibilidades de acabar con la cartera vacía a golpe de click.

Se puede decir que lo del bagaje con el tratamiento me viene de lejos, pero dejémoslo en que me gusta cuidarme, disfruto regalándome ese ratito para mi cada día y lo más importante, no me da pereza. Aparte de cubrir las necesidades básicas busco poner mis manos en las infinitas “chuches” que existen, de ahí que sea una defensora empedernida de las marcas nicho; pensad que tienen que hacerse un hueco en un mercado copado de grandes dinosaurios y se las tienen que ingeniar para destacar.

Tengo la certeza de haber combinado el kit perfecto en el último par de semanas: En primer lugar, he vuelto a incorporar la joya de la corona, ácido glicólico bajo el acertado nombre de Liquid Gold (ALPHA H) después de meses de “descanso”. La novedad la cubre un suero salicílico con BHA+AHA que tiene MUY buena pinta. El básico viene de mano del completísimo bálsamo Cicaplast (LA ROCHE-POSAY). La aventura viene (ojo!) de mano de una marca Coreana pero guisada en Alemania: Yepoda. Si soy sincera, lo que me animó a probarla fue el compañón de propagación marketing que mantienen en RRSS y que les ha convertido en virales en varias ocasiones, ¡la política de afiliación es brutal! Aunque la calidad de los productos aun esta por averiguar parece que puede tener buena pinta.

Nota: acordaos siempre de surfear un poquito demás para encontrar los descuentitos que os interesen, en esta ocasión me he ahorrado más de 100€😊

different anon, but i’ve been meaning to ask if the cosrx blackhead power liquid would be a good choice for bacne? i bought it to use on my face but as it’s got aha+bha i thought that might be a good idea? also pls ignore if you’ve answered this before, but something i get confused about is whether i should use body lotion or facial moisturisers on my acne prone back? because body specific acne creams seem to be inexplicably more expensive (i’m thinking paula’s choice for example), i wonder if they’re actually worth it. thanks sm <3

you can use it for that, but it doesn’t feel super cost effective, depending on where you purchase yours from, and it can be a bit tough to apply by yourself given its formulation type — you may find it easier to use a spray type product, like the BHA one by versed.

you can use facial stuff anywhere on your body (as opposed to body products, which i don’t really recommend using on your face; facial skin is more sensitive, whereas body skin can handle a lot more). however, facial products tend to cost more per gram. let’s compare, using PC as an example: their weightless BHA 2% body treatment is $28 for 201 ml; their (facial) 2% BHA liquid exfoliant is $29.50 for 118 ml — if you use the facial product on your body, you’ll pay nearly twice as much for what you get, and you’ll run out pretty quickly. the body product contains the same amount of BHA, so you should see the same results on body skin (i would not use it on your face, though).

and this is only within PC; you can find body creams at lower price points from other brands.

Linguistic excursions (1): Scots Gaelic / Gàidhlig

A non-Greenlandic post today, just for a change (maybe to be repeated, maybe not?). A mere 1100 mile hop across the Atlantic to Scotland.

Here’s a short text in Scots Gaelic which is the introduction to the first chapter of Cò rinn e? by Dòmhnall Iain MacIomhair, which is a very accessible short detective novel set on a fictional Scottish island. Appropriately, an English translation of the title would be Whodunnit?

cò – who rinn – did (irregular form of root dèan do) e – it dhùisg – awoke. Note that the verb appears first in a standard sentence in Scots Gaelic (VSO order). Past tense form of root form dùisg wake, awaken. In Scots Gaelic the root form (dictionary form) of verbs is the second person imperative. postingan kali ini neng khususkan buat mas.

hari ini tanggal 11 September 2020.

mas, udah mau tiga bulan kita pisah.

hmm neng g akan tny kabar mas, krn neng tau mas pasti baik" aja. semalam neng liat mas dikong hehe, mas masih pakek tas biasanya yg neng kash itu hehe. neng seneng liatnya mas pkek tas itu, karena Alhamdulillah ternyata pemberian neng gak diabaikan meskipun kita skr dh pisah. neng juga gt kok, sesekali neng masih pakek tas pemberian dr mas. sengaja gak sering neng pakek, biar tasnya gak cepet rusak xixixi.

semalam itu kan hari jum'at ya, tumben"an bgt emng kami k kong hari jum'at wkwkw padahal biasanya kalo mas inget, jadwal kami k kong itu maljum. cuma karena maljum kami pada mager mau keluar, jadi semalem deh bru keluar. dan sebenarnya gak ada niat mau k kong sih, awalnya itu kami k es kelapa tapi trnyta jam 9 dh ttup, dan kami ngerasa itu masih awal dan kami juga masih enak" cerita, jadi kami memutuskan buat lanjut ke kong deh.

pas sampe dikong tu puspa nanya mau didalam atau diluar, trus neng plih luar aja karena didalem udah rame. padahal sebelum"nya tu kami selalu didalem kalo dikong, gak pernah diluar lagi krna tkut tbtb hujan. dan juga sbnrnya semalem tu neng lg pgn k wc bgt cuma malu karena rame.

trus gak sengaja neng sm puspa ngeliat eki dr jendela, trus puspa ngintip tuh dikit, trus dia ngeliat mas, dan mas juga liat puspa katanya. tp neng gak yakin sih kalo mas liat puspa, krn mas kan rasanak julau wleeeee🤪

udah deh gtu, biak" jadi rempong ngomongin mas hmm, apalagi huda. trus gak lamanya labik kluar dan disusul dengan mas juga kluar, kalian pulang.

hmm mas kira" malam itu tau gak ya kalo kami ad nyantai di kong juga?🤔🤔

saat itu biak" jadi mengenang masa lalu deh, biak blg "dlu satu meja skr pisah meja", trus neng sambungin aja "dlu duduk bersampingan, skr sudah berjauhan" "dlu satu mtor, skr pisah mtr". wkwkwk trs biak nyontohkan kalo kita ngomng "mas mas udah makan ke" , trs dini nyambung "biak pakai bahasa Indonesia kalo ngmong", trs neng jwb aja " mas mas, udah makan blm" gtuuuu kata neng😂😂 hftttttt

btw, mas. selama ini neng masih stalking mas, meskipun udah jarang bgt, gak setiap hari kek dlu. skr neng stalk mas kalo neng dh gabut bgt dan pgn tau ttg mas, baru neng stalk mas. lebih sering ke stalk tw mas sih drpd ig. skr stalk mas gak sesakit dlu. kalo gk slah, dua hari yg llu neng ad stalk ig mas, dan neng liat sg mas foto gtu tapi pipinya lg dicubit, pasti di cubit sm cwe mas ya🤪🤪 neng cemburu, dkittt aja tp cmburunya hihiii, karena neng kan udah gak berhak juga buat cmburu atau marah. krn yg pnting skr itu, mas bahagia mskipun bukan sm neng.

oh iya ada satu hal sih yg neng agak cmburu bgt, bio ig mas tuuuuuu bkin neng iri wkwk. dlu selama sm neng, mas gk prnh tu pkek bio se so sweet itu. tp skr, mas pkek bio so sweet gt. apaa yaa bionya? pkek bhs inggris pkokny, yg neng ingat sih artinya tu "aku merasa baik" saja saat melihatmu tersenyum" dihhhhh neng iri neng iri wkwk krna dlu pas sm neng, mas gk prnh tu bkin bio gtu.

mas pasti suka dan sayang bgt ya sm cwe mas yg skr? kliatan bgt dr tweet" dan sg mas yg galaauuu terus wkt itu, yg kek mas hujan"an mas bkin sg, dll lah pkoknya wkwkw. tp skr mas lg sibuk ngebucin ya😋😋 krna dilihat dr mas yg udah jarang ngetweet dan bkin sg, brrti skr mas udah gak gabut lagi alias dh sibuk bucin😋 pertahankan ya mas, smoga yg skr tu yg trkhr buat mas☺️

hmmmm neng yaa? neng gimana yaa wkwkw. neng Alhamdulillah baik" aja, setelah pisah sm mas neng gak sbuk dengan urusan percintaan. neng sbuk kerja, sbuk sm teman" dan kluarga aja. ada orang yg menawarkan cinta, tapi neng tolak, krn neng lg gak mau berurusan dgn hal prcintaan dlu. pgn istirahat dlu cielah wkwkw prnh neng coba ni dkt sm seseorang, tp trnyta neng blm bisaaaa wkwk gak bsa nya ya karena neng msh blm ada tenaga buat menye", blm ada tenaga buat sayang"an, blm ada tenaga buat terluka lagi kalo misalnya neng salah plih lagi. karena neng jg lg menikmati bgt fase skr, fase dimana neng lg gak suka sama siapa", gak ada perasaan sm siapa", jd hati neng yg bnar" lg aman bgt, jd yg neng gak prlu khawatir ttg prcintaan. yg lg enjoy bgt sm diri sndiri, agikktuu enjoy🤣🤣 pkoknya ini tuh fase yg gak boleh di sia"in gtu lho wkwk jadi neng pgn bner" nikmatinnya bgt. jdi kalo ad cwok yg kek mengarah mau pdkt k neng tu, neng buru" langsung menjauh, kcuali dia emng bnr" real mau temenan sm neng. intinya lg cape aja sm cinta"an.

btw juga, bbrp hr yg llu neng ketemuan sm mantan neng di cafe smart wkwkw tmpt slingkuh🤣🤣 tp kek bner berasa lg jd selingkuhan anjir neng malm itu, krna kan dia emng punya cwe tuh, trs kami ketemuan brdua dan dicafe yg sepi gtu lg tu hahahaha. hmm ceritanya tu dia ada blas sg neng, basa basi gt trus ujung"nya bhas masa lalu dan ngajak ktmu. awalnya neng gakmau tuh, krna ya buat apa bhas masa lalu toh udah empat thn yg llu juga neng sm dia, ditambah dia jg dh ad cwek. tp akhrnya stelah dia menjelskan knp kami hrs bner" ktmu ya ujung"nya neng mau ktmu deh, krn neng rs prlu ktmu jg krna bnyak kesalahpahaman yg aneh" parah. neng sih gak pdli dgn kesalahpahaman yg udah lalu, cm yg agak mengganggu tu kesalahpahaman yg smpe skr msh sring trjd.

You really cannot go wrong with The Ordinary serums. They run about $6-7. Try a glycolic acid toner or you might want to try an AHA or BHA peel once a week, but look up how to properly use a chemical exfoliant at home (i.e., don’t drip it on your face like insta/tiktok influencers). Anything with Niacinamide will help with congestion of pores. Other drugstore brands under or around $20 that are good are Versed and Naturium.

i have the niacinamide one n the teen chemical peel !!! n they both have helped since i got them which was like . last year but not as much as i’d like them to but thank you sm!!
