I have no idea how to explain this drawing but I was listening to Sugarcrash for an entire hour while drawing this. Maybe that can explain something. I drew this long ago actually, while I was watching g rev.
I do have opinions about Ming Ming lol, like, the way she just transforms herself to grow up 5 years is just bruh. I don't hate her cutesy performer form even tho this drawing says otherwise, but I do like her other battle form more.

Oh yeah, I forgot about him canonically wearing eye liner based on this! Also, I love the red eyeliner! I might use that as inspiration for my own drawings, if that’s okay.

Kai is the king at beyblading and taking names I also did a version with red eye-liner that I quite liked so you can have both as a treat :)

I didn’t see the original post mention here, but I definitely feel like Takao and other characters felt a bit out of character in V Force. And parts of the story didn’t quite line up correctly. Forgive me for not going in depth, but I just woke up and my memory of V Force isn’t the clearest at the moment. I just know there were some parts that I really loved (with Wyatt, Salima, and Zeo) but there was a lot of filler stuff that felt a bit weird, but I can’t remember exactly at the moment.
OK CAN I JUST SAY... i was rereading the post you made on v-force takao and like. honestly YEAH a lot of people seem to act like he's almost like, ooc in v-force? but i think the thing is like. the signs have been there for a While, it's just that g-rev is the season where they're really gone into. in a sense v-force takao is kind of like you look back on him and you go "oh. oh fuck i get it".
something i don't see pointed out actually, specifically in regards to his ego, way back in s1 between the arcs in china and america, there's this little filler episode and, yeah nothing really Happens in it much. except for the fact that we see the first hint of how takao is reacting to even a relatively small level of fame. really the way takao changes after becoming world champion is both fascinating and absolutely devastating (but like, in a good way) imo and so looking back and seeing something like this, again it's that "Holy Shit" moment
overall i would ABSOLUTELY read a long ass speech abt takao and i should. probably write one of my own sometime i've been thinking abt him a lot lately. o7
yeah Takao/Tyson's character was really overlooked in s2 but i also kinda blame the writers...both of us based our conclusions through some thinking and analysis but i cant really expect everyone to do so.
i think the s1 setback was short term and it only happened maybe twice or thrice throughout the entire show, but it was long-term in both v-force and g-rev. once again, g-rev depicted Takao's feelings deeply and accurately which is why a lot of people tend to forgive him any action he might have taken. v-force was just...in between. we were meant to understand it but a lot of us failed to and the writers also failed to depict it.
I would loveee to make an entire takao/tyson post tbh, but it'll take a while because i have exams coming up. anyhow if you do end up making a takao post PLS share it, I would give all of my time to read it

Since Moses canonically parted the red sea with a beyblade, does that mean dreidel are a sub-category of beyblade, or are beyblades a sub-catagory of dreidel?
Since Moses necessarily predates the Maccabees, and thus the miracle for which Chanukah is celebrated, the beyblade logically has seniority.
Thinking of it phylogenetically, the dreidel is the "descendant," and thus should be considered the same sort of thing as any other "descendants" of the beyblade - e.g. the glaive from Krull. Therefore, in much the same way that "birds are dinosaurs," dreidels are beyblades.
Interestingly, the term "beyblade" was actually introduced by Christians - in a roundabout way. Byzantine accounts of the Ottoman conquests of the 14th and early 15th century often mention "a sort of perpetually whirling sabre, set in motion by the enemy's mystics and commanded by their beys to wreak havoc on our walls and troops." (See The Oxford History of Byzantium, Mango, 2002).
Of course, cannons would eclipse these blades by the mid-15th century, at least as far as practical military deployment was concerned. Many of the now-obsolete blades would later be sold off to European traders, who would in turn sell them to nobles and scholars in Italy and France - where they would become known as Lames de les Beys, i.e., "Blades of the Beys." From there the etymology is straightforward.
All of this is from a historical standpoint, of course. Halachically speaking, the dreidel is considered a beetle.

1. - [Drama - Legendary 14] Gather your wits and lie about the toy aisle's whereabouts. Buy yourself some time.
SKILL CHECK
SUCCESS
“Sir, the toy aisle is over there at that door, right next to the bathrooms.”
DRAMA - Hee hee hee! He doesn’t know that the door actually leads to the employee room! You’re a tricky little trickster, and you LOVE it.
MUGMART SHOPPER - Thank you, lad. It’s nice to see someone that isn’t afraid to talk to me, for once. He walks away, unaware of your devious deception.
INTERFACING - Now, to find your prize. The beyblade box stands tall on the shelf, but not tall enough for you to reach it and rip the box to shreds.
ENCYCLOPEDIA [Easy: Success] - Beyblade (ベイブレード, Beiburēdo, diminutive Bey, from the diminutive of beigoma) is a line of spinning-top toys originally developed by Takara, first released in Japan in July 1999, along with a related manga series. This beyblade in particular, the Beyblade X BX-00 Booster Dranzer Spiral 3-80T, is one of the rare blades from the original anime, aptly named “Beyblade” as well as the two sequel series, Beyblade: V-Force and Beyblade: G-Revolution, and the 2002 film Beyblade: The Movie - Fierce Battle.
INTERFACING - You can feel each crevice and corner on the beyblade. The texture seeps into your senses. It’s beautiful.
PHYSICAL INSTRUMENT - Of course, it’s perfect. Perfect for throwing at people.
INTERFACING - And also for spinning. Yes. For spinning.
SAVOIR FAIRE [Hard: Success] - Take it.
LOGIC - What?
SAVOIR FAIRE - Take it. For free. Steal it. Come and go with your blade in tow. No one will look. No one will know. Take the blade and go.
VISUAL CALCULUS [Godly - Failure] - The store is like what, 100,000 million square feet? There’s probably only like what, 3 people near you? No one will see shit.
1. - [Savoir Faire - Medium 10] Run away with your prize, you slippery little weasel!
2. - I am a normal, law abiding citizen. I am so fucking normal right now. (Put the blade back in the remnants of its box and pay for it.)
3. - [Physical Instrument- Formidable 13] Chuck the blade at someone. Show the world how powerful you really are.

(wonder how did I succeeded the check but) I choose 1 ! (again) I rolled 9

This is the Beigoma Academy Beyclub Team from Beyblade Burst. The Beigoma Academy Beyclub Team is composed of 6 actors, Luis Manzano, Matteo Guidicelli, Sam Milby, DingDong Dantes, Rocco Nacino and Enchong Dee who portrayed the characters Valt Aoi, Shu Kurenai, Rantaro Kiyama, Ken Midori, Daigo Kurogami and Wakiya Murasaki. Before Beyblade Burst started airing on TV5 in 2013, DingDong Dantes moved to TV5 in 2010 after he was in ABS-CBN for a long time since 1992. Enchong Dee also moved to TV5 in 2010 after he was in ABS-CBN for 15 years since 1995. But Dominic Roco is not coming back to TV5 in 2010. Eventually, Sam Milby will be taking over the voice of Rantaro Kiyama but unfortunately, He took over the voice of Naruto Uzumaki in the Naruto series in 2012. Due to this, He moved to TV5 in 2005. After Beyblade Burst God ended in May 3, 2015 on TV5, DingDong Dantes returned to ABS-CBN in 2015. But Rocco Nacino also moved to ABS-CBN in 2015. Somehow, Enchong Dee moved to GMA in 2015 and he will marry to a SexBomb girl named Sugar Mercado in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. Although Sam Milby will be staying on TV5 where he will retake the voice of Naruto Uzumaki when Naruto: Shippuden starts airing on TV5 in 2015. When Beyblade Burst Sparking began airing on TV5 in 2017, Dominic Roco, Rocco Nacino and Enchong Dee returned to TV5 in 2017. But DingDong Dantes will not coming back to TV5 in 2017. Luckily, Dominic Roco’s younger brother Felix Roco also returned to TV5. Dominic Roco, Felix Roco, Rocco Nacino and Enchong Dee’s contracts to TV5 will expire in March 31, 2018. Luckily, Dominic Roco and Felix Roco will both take over the roles of Rantaro Kiyama and his younger brother Ranjiro Kiyama. But Michael Pangilinan took over the voice of Ranzo Kiyama. Before the group was formed, DingDong Dantes, Sam Milby and Enchong Dee were from the ABS-CBN sitcom show Bubble Gang with Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, Willie Revillame, Arcee Muñoz, Ritz Azul, Alice Dixson, Tuesday Vargas and Eula Caballero. But eventually, Luis Manzano and Matteo Guidicelli were from the PTV-4 sketch comedy kids show Ang TV, They started their careers when they were children. Later, They moved to ABS-CBN in 2000. But they moved to GMA in 2005 when Luis Manzano is about to reunite with his dad Edu Manzano because he moved to GMA in 2000. Somehow, They moved to TV5 in 2010. But Rocco Nacino started his career on TV5 in 2005. DingDong Dantes was born in March 23, 1975 and was confirmed to be the eldest member of the group. He was known to be “The Lucky Man” due to his good luck. Enchong Dee was born in January 6, 1980 and was known to be 5 years younger than DingDong Dantes. Sam Milby was born in February 12, 1981. He was known as “The Ninja Master” just like his best friend Marco Alcaraz who is an actor of ABS-CBN from 2000 to 2010. Luis Manzano was born in July 14, 1985 in Paris, France. He was known as “The Azure Superstar” but not like Arcee Muñoz who is known as “The Scarlet Superstar”. He is also known to be the best superstar in the world. He can speak in French, Filipino and English influently. Before he was "The Azure Superstar", He was known as "The Rockstar" because he dyed his hair red just like Arcee Muñoz. Somehow, He dyed his hair blue when he moved to GMA in 2005. But Ritz Azul dyed her hair blue before she moved to GMA in 2000. Matteo Guidicelli was born in August 31, 1985 in Venice, Italy. He was known as “The Crimson Devil”. He can speak in Italian, Filipino and English influently. He also suffers from ADHD which means if he does something that is terrible, he might go berserk and destroy everything. However, His therapist tells him to learn how to control his rage. Before he was “The Crimson Devil”, He was known as “Jack Frost” from the 2002 movie Frozen. But Matteo Guidicelli dyed his hair white when he moved to GMA in 2005. Rocco Nacino was born in October 12, 1988. He was known as “The Grim Reaper”. But now, It’s obvious that Rocco Nacino was 3 years younger than Luis Manzano and Matteo Guidicelli although he was the youngest of the team.

ok so uh. here's my Big List Of Changes I'd Make To Bakuten Shoot Beyblade. off the top of my head.
s1:
be less 🤨 about some of the one-off teams. racism in beyblade is a whole can of worms that i don't feel super confident in talking about overall (seeing as how i am well. very much white) but at the very least there's a couple things that stand out as questionable and this is definitely the easiest fix in regards to that
that's about it
v-force/2002:
WHY THE HELL IS EVERYONE LIKE NOTICEABLY PALER. give them some fucking sun jfc (this also applies to g-rev)
this is one of the larger ones but include atleast an episode or two showing teams from s1. in particular i'm imagining neo-borg early on (see ozma defeating yuriy in the manga), the ppb team during the america eps, and. ok i'm admittedly not sure how you'd work baihuzu and the euro team in there but whatever
psykick should not exist. make zagart be responsible for everything from the start and call him out on all of the fucked up shit he's responsible for
instead of doing a bunch of random goon episodes make them do silly filler things with Maybe a goon thrown in at the end
g-revolution:
rubs hands together. there's a LOT to go over here for starters either treat daichi better or don't include him at all. if you were to opt to remove him then have kyojyu fight alongside takao instead
i don't actually know what to do with the world tournament but it definitely needs a full overhaul. on one hand the character balancing was doomed from the start but also i do kind of wish team cybers was there.
on the topic of the world tournament remove tao entirely. we did not fucking need the "pervy old man" archetype in beyblade. who the fuck thought that was not only okay but necessary
MAKE BARTHEZ SOLDAT MORE RELEVANT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD THEY'RE ONE OF LIKE TWO INTERESTING THINGS HAPPENING.
speaking of which lean more into takao's struggles with fame
let kai and yuriy be anything more than Edgy. let them have depth. please. (i know yuriy did get to have depth for a bit but in his case i mean during the world tournament)
ideally i think takao vs kai, and really takao's battles with all of his teammates, would be a showcase of how far they've come since the start of the series. call back to their first encounters, show how they've changed, all of that stuff.
and speaking of kai. oh boy. time for the bega arc. for a long ass time i struggled to think of a reason for kai to join, but i think i've got it. after not only his loss to takao but possibly other fights during the world tournament, kai genuinely feels like he's falling behind. volkov takes advantage of this and while kai ultimately knows not to trust him, he's desperate.
this then ties into his conflict with brooklyn. brooklyn is in a similar position to how kai used to be at the start of the show, albeit less uh. Violent. so, kai not only learns how to deal with his own conflict, but also helps brooklyn deal with that same inevitability of burnout.
also, remove the whole aspect of brooklyn not enjoying beyblading because i can definitely see why the beyblade anime would be hesitant to have a character quit beyblading because they fucking hate it. this also fully allows the moral of brooklyn's story to change from "just work hard lol" to "you will never be perfect, and that's okay."
god dammit this could also tie into takao abandoning what the media and public expect of him i just now realized this one IT'S ALL COMING TOGETHER I TELL YA.
you know the clip that's like "you're taking everything i say out of context to make it sound like i think coolsville sucks" and they cut it down to "i think coolsville sucks". i want more of that vibe
here's probably The most major change. the justice 5 matches? to hell with that. instead go for a hades city-style break in, allowing everyone to showcase their own unique strengths even outside of beyblading, and letting all of the main characters win their own respective fights.
and lastly, and this is the most crucial thing: cut it with that attitude of being Cool and Edgy. you are a fucking beyblade anime, embrace that! stop trying to act like you're Above power of friendship and silly spinning tops! have some fucking whimsy in your life.
oh also i guess like. acknowledge sacred beasts existing even if they're not really plot relevant. i kind of forgot about that
