The Facts of Life what if: Mrs. Garrett's (Charlotte Rae's) other replacement
Original: Cloris Leachman as Beverly Ann Stickle
Wishful thinking: Somebody (Beverly Ann as well?) by Deborah Harmon (she played English teacher Gail Gallagher in S4E15 Teacher's Pet)

I haven't watched replacement episodes yet, but visually, my opinion is no.

However, The Facts of Life‘s lead cast are all still alive except for Rae who died in 2018. And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake. The only surviving lead castmember from Diff’rent Strokes is Bridges. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.

The eighth season brought on the biggest change of all. Feeling she had done all she could as Edna Garrett and the fact her contract had expired, Charlotte Rae decided not to renew and left in the season 8 premiere. At the time, "The Facts of Life" was still doing well NBC and was one of the highest ranked shows on television. So naturally, NBC renewed the show. In steps the lively and vivacious Cloris Leachman, who played Edna’s recently divorced sister Beverly Ann Stickle. She would take on not only as a second mother figure to the girls, but she would legally adopt Andy, who was being shuffled from one foster home to another. It was a year full of fun, challenges and adventure. #TheFactsofLife #ClorisLeachman #LisaWhelchel #KimFields #MindyCohn #NancyMcKeon #MackenzieAstin #GeorgeClooney #BeverlyAnnStickle #BlairWarner #TootieRamsey #NatalieGreen #JoPolniaczek #AndyMoffett #GeorgeBurnett #OverOurHeads #Peekskill
