Honestly the funniest thing abt Don't Starve lore is just that Wagstaff made a robot born from someone's death, full of trauma upon having several out of body experiences that started crashing out and then threw it into the nightmare hell word and somehow didn't expect it to become the most bitter evil angry person ever. If my only exposure to humans was Wagstaff honestly I would've turned out worse we're lucky WX hasn't strangled their fellow survivors in their sleep yet.

As far as I know we don't really know when WX became truly evil and honestly I think it would be very interesting to imply idk, being mauled by hounds and tossed around in an uncaring unforgiving world for years with some canon evidence even suggesting they don't remember too much of life before the constant, might've been why they turned out. Like that. Esp I think it says everything WX can confront Wagstaff stare him down but Wagstaff just avoids their gaze, one of these people is guilty [and knows it too] the other is not.

Also Wagstaff's quote for the nightmare throne implying he meant for WX to die in there ='].

WX feeling the need to tell a Wagstaff inspired machine she's better than her creators, telling another to never trust Wagstaff. I think it screams yet another thing Wagstaff tossed the second it became clear it wasn't doing exactly what he wanted [as WX says about some of his machines discarded like trash] rather than him saving the world from an evil robot born evil.

Also makes for an amazing Frankenstein comparison, make life, don't give it a name, be horrified when it has emotional problems, dump it in the woods, oops it came back- [I know that's not exactly what happened but y'know]

And now for something completely different--- some sketches of my coworkers' pets during a 2-hour department meeting with a 0.5mm gel ink pen. It always feels so damn good to scribble with a pen because you really have to think about where you're putting down your lines but that also gives you the freedom to get loose and fun with your choices. Sketches went home with the coworkers and one of them even told me later that their partner cried upon seeing it because they were having a bad day and the sketch made them feel heaps better.

the geoff retcon is just so poorly done in so many ways. when i think abt it i just rly do have to roll my eyes because it wouldn't even be that hard to be like "actually, paul westfield was duped by agenda under orders from the contessa" and have that as the explanation for the introduction of luthor dna instead of paul westfield's, if you MUST include it. like that way it doesn't blatantly contradict the entire luthor plotline with mae in reign of the supermen, and it could've been a reveal to luthor himself, too. that couldve been fascinating ESPECIALLY in the context of lex having baby lena in that era, until the y2k event.

but fuckign. why do that when we can directly contradict kon's entire origin story which explicitly states he escaped before they were able to put control codes in his head. and when we can also just completely dismiss the ethics of "they [wanted to] put control codes in his head" in favor of "what if... some genes... make you BAD..." which is just very thinly veiled eugenics that the narrative entertains, for some reason. frankly, imo, lex was far more interesting as a character in every plot other than this, because he became so one-dimensionally evil in a very boring stock "manipulative" way. and we didn't even get a single mention of lena in all of his "my son" bullshit. using the contessa wouldve been such an easy and perfect way to tie it all together!!!! but sure. why do anything like that, right geoff.

So, if you don’t know who is on the right or where the song is from, it’s Mafioso (originally from the Dream game but the photo I put in the video is the redesign) from Forsaken (song is from there too)! I love forsaken and its music so much. I cut out the majority of the song so click HERE to view the entire two and a half minutes to Mafioso’s chase theme.

When I was in the middle of drawing the Rats of New Jersey characters, I realized, oh yeah, Mafioso is also a mafia boss, what if they met or something lol? In my personal headcanons of Rats of New Jersey Jean, he’s quite similar to Mafioso personality wise (IT WAS NOT INTENTIONAL I SWEAR) but instead of 4 goons, Jean has three.

apparently atlus is remaking p4 and like. the only reasons i could see for doing that is 1. overhauling the story (p3re made very few changes, mixed on whether they were good or bad, i.e. getting rid of the transphobic joke is good, but making mitsuru an orphan therefore retconing the drama cds is bad imo) and 2. overhauling the graphics/atmosphere (p3re honestly did pretty bad there with the very. Default Unreal Project vibe the game has, mostly due to a lot of areas just being flatly lit from the top without light sources in the environment. thats why the inside of the dorm looks so strange)

if its just going to be p4 but with "better" graphics, some QoL features, and keeping in most of the weird homophobia and not changing kanji and naoto's dungeons to be something other than stereotyping gay men/detransition rhetoric (im not saying that as a snipe at naoto as a character or his fans, but at the end of the day that's the message naoto's story as written is sending) then i just dont see the point in remaking it. just play golden and do whatever you want with the ideas of the characters at that point

1. I grew up in/around like 20 towns exactly like this

2. I like how one guy thinks he's in a romantic rivalry with the other guy (who just wants to escape with his money), and the main girl is just trying not to punch everyone. and her cousin is bisexual

3. oh this badass lady wants to carry this little conman around like he's her purse dog.
