Holiday Shopping: Finis, Pau, Erlidigt, Gjort! . and shipped. Can’t show the good stuff but can show the traditional stockings I’ve been doing for years. Kid’s socks, stuffed with a mis-matched sock, some fruit n candy and a bunch of knick-knack oddball stuff. I’ve done as many as twenty or so in the past for family gatherings and they’re always a hit. Folks have said “I *still* use the wine opener that was in mine one year!” and “I still wear those socks! I look forward to getting this stocking as much as anything every year!” . Since the matriarch of the family died the large family gatherings and everyone showing up in the same place has become a thing of the past. . I’m down to four stockings now, but had fun finding things to stuff the socks with, then sitting in the van during a driving rain with a snack and a soda and assembling it all. Packed a lot in there, believe me! I’ll show the contents after the holidays. . A fun, colorful, tradition I’m happy to continue. .
