Just started a new Beta 1.7.3 world thought I’d share my progress as my first post on tumblr

I love my channel

I don't know if anyone will ever see this but I have to get my emotions out and I'm not the best at that verbally. I started a YouTube channel a few months ago it was something I wanted to do for years but never had the strength to put my self out there. My channel in the last couple months has grown to about 524 Subs and it has changed me so much. I have more confidence and more love in my heart. I don't know if it sounds like I'm being to dramatic but I truly feel this way. I love making video's and editing has been really fucking fun to learn. I love adding to my world (forgot to mention its a minecraft channel). The comments have been the best, all of the support for the things I've built and even seeing the same names pop up in my notifications It really fills my heart with joy. I know I'm not growing as fast as others like Ranboo did, and I'm quite lucky to have grown as much as I have in the last few months. It still at times is a little overwhelming. I always think about my channel and worry about how I'll be able to keep a good schedule since I plan on starting college soon. But I'm happy to share and create and have a very very small community. To get a little personal lol, young teenage me who wanted this but feared being perceived would have never thought I would be here or that there would be people who were willing to watch me. I don't know the future of my channel which is very scary but, even If I never grow more I wouldn't complain I love what I'm doing, it was for me the best and kind of scariest thing I ever did. I would never want to take it back for anything.

It may not seem like much to some but it has become my everything <3

Hi, I'm a dog.

I have an aversion to modern Minecraft. I've been playing the game since 2012 and have loved it on-and-off, keeping up with updates and it's hills and valleys of relevancy.

Recently (early 2024) I've realized that the biggest joy I get from the game happens when I'm leaving a mark on the world, in the form of changed landscape and reshaping the world in my image instead of building megabases or huge efficient farms. I prefer Minecraft the sandbox, not Minecraft the survival game, so Beta 1.7.3 is my new home.

This blog will be for posting about old Minecraft, not necessarily Beta. Feel free to ask questions or talk to me about stuff!

Beta 1.7.3 minecraft has the annoying feature of nightmares and it doesnt seem to matter how many torches I place I still get woken up

aaaa i just filmed a minecraft beta 1.7.3 let’s play with me ACTUALLY TALKING and rewatching some parts of it it isn’t like bad?? it’s an hour and change of footage so i’ll need to edit it but it’s kinda exciting ngl

ok ive tried beta 1.7.3 and... my god... im actually playing and having fun???

Took me a while to find a decent place to live with a cool terrain and a build plan.

Also im playing with the mod Back2Beta. It adds SO MANY quality of life changes, the only downsides are the lack of Optifine and the developer fixed the tnt xray glitch that is usefull to find dungeons

Ok now 8m gonna rant a bit about this version. Its scary. Mobs n monsters make the same footsteps sound that u do and they are loud. The lack of sprintinf and nat regen. The night is DARK. Creepers are nasty son of bitches that disrespect you and will detonate while walking n strafin towards u. Moderncreepers are so weak. Here if u hear SSSSH its already too late! Skeletons are more fair, they dont have insane aimbot like modern but they tend to precharge shots so a hit or 2 will land. Spiders jumping at u actually does somethun compared to modern

The lack of blocks makes me less overwhelmed and the lack of structures makes the world more free and uncluttered

Also u loose some items? Arrgh oh well nothin too important lost while modern if u loose the gear u spent hours enchantin really makes u ragequit

If u are bored of modern minecraft give b1.7.3 a chance. I use Betacraft to play it plus Back2Beta so i can play it on my slow laptop with Linux Mint with its screaming HDD

The thing about minecraft for me is that i cant seem to play it

I get immediately bored

I like mining ores while caving and redstone

But i cant seem to enjoy survival. I reset a world even before reaching the nether. I often get ideas for buildings, lore, gameplay mechanics or personal challenges and i get this urge to play the game but as soon as i start a new world the urge vanishes

Ok lets try creative but same thing...

Mods? I do enjoy the idea of them, some are very alluring. The Creare mod is amazing, the idea of the kind of contraptions possible with that mod makes me salivate but guess what? I did try many times to play with mods too but the same cycle repeats

I get my iron armor, my tools and food and then close the world and never play it again

I had to update my beta minecraft world to 1.0 because endermen kept taking my buildings and trees apart but it feels so wrong to have updated a beta world to a standard version
