So instead of waiting until January to make goals, I knew I had a Chemo session scheduled Dec.30th 2019 and so I preplanned my strategy in November. I'm not allowed to do full physical therapy still (even though it's been 2 years since the last full on relapse). I'm already down 5lbs in a week and a half, strengthening my body, building up a stronger immune system, and staying focused with out feeling like I'm dieting (because I'm not, it's a life style). So here's some tips and tricks that might help or inspire you. 1. I made a list of kitchen supplies that i specifically wanted. I prayed and watched for the best sales (after doing my homework on the item). 2. Found ways to stay inspired and stress free as possible. Prayer, meditation, candles, journaling, ect. 3. Did homework on what foods that need to be stocked up in the house and what foods could be tossed. 4. Bought a Fitbit and synced it with my apps. For me, this helped me stay accountable. 5. After 2 years, we moved our home gym back upstairs again. I might not be able to work out yet but using my yoga ball, bands for stretching and treadmill for small walks will atleast keep me moving. 6. Using my Fitbit to help track my sleeping patterns have been a huge help too. This tells me why I'm so worn down at times. 7. Using a calendar to keep my life balanced and making sure I don't over commit. There is no magic drug to fix you. There is no magic diet that's going to help you drop weight and keep it off. It's about living a healthy lifestyle and doing the best you can with what God has blessed you with. I'm excited about 2020 because it will be as successful as I make it. Over the past week I was in Daytona, Florida detoxing steriods and fighting diabetes 2. I also was able to get some work done. I'm really excited to say that after 1 month this girl has kicked diabetes 2 butt! I went from 40mg of insulin twice a day to 20mg sometimes once a day. With rest, diet, and prayer, I did my part. It's a process and God has been so good to our family. I'm one extremely thankful woman ❤🙌. Medical update: Drs appointments all went great. My wrist is still achy but all healed up and now I have a cool story to tell security at the airport when the medal in my arm sets the alarms off. 🛫 So I'm still on 50mg of prednisone a day which causes my blood pressure to go up 😬😒. In spite of the steroids and weight accelerators, I'm still eating healthy and staying active and losing weight 💃🙌. I started 2 blood pressure medications today so that we can get the blood pressure stable 👍. I will take the readings twice a day and track them. Tuesday, November the 27th we have an appointment with my oncologist 📆. We'll make sure my blood pressure is stable and everything is ready. At that point, we could start the rituxan treatments as early as the next day 😳😜🤯. Once we start the rituxan, I can start coming off the prednisone and the blood pressure medications (not to mention the other medications as well AND see more weight drop off faster) 😍😁👍. It has been a hard and challenging couple of months but God has been so good and so faithful. Meeting every need 🙏🙌💜. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS. THEY ARE APPRECIATED SO MUCH!
