man the Problematic ParentsTM from pjsk are incredibly realistic in that two things are true about their depiction.

1. they have their own trauma, pain, and suffering, that influences the way they raise their children.

and

2. this does not detract from the suffering they then imposed on their children. it is not an excuse, and the MCs are not necessarily required by the narrative to forgive them (though they do seem to, which is understandable since they’re all high schoolers who care deeply about what their parents think of them).

like I think this extends to pretty much all the parents of pjsk. mafumom is probably the example most people automatically think of- she likely has some kind of (potentially very bad) generational trauma. this provides a basis for why she treats mafuyu the way she does. but it isn’t seen (so far) as an excuse- mafuyu running away is depicted as a necessary action in order to preserve herself.

ena’s dad went through incredible struggles as a starving artist. he likely felt extreme shame and anguish as he failed to provide for himself and his wife. but the way he handled this with ena is not necessarily depicted as a good or okay thing- just a thing that has an explanation.

toya’s dad- we don’t know a super lot about him afaik but it’s safe to assume he is a person who is very hard on himself. he strives for perfection in his music and tries to emulate exactly what he thought the composer intended. this behavior likely doesn’t come from nowhere, and has likely been harmful to him. but the way he treated and trained toya is still depicted as toxic and unnecessary.

and this even applies to less ProblematicTM parents like emu’s dad or an’s dad too! when it was revealed that ken had been hiding the truth about nagi from an, an literally was like “I don’t forgive you” and that’s SO POWERFUL! someone can have good intentions and still hurt you, and they still need to be held accountable for that! (and ken did accept responsibility for that- part of what makes him one of the best parents in the game!)

ugh. just… I’m in my twenties and still very much dealing with the repercussions and ripple effects of the way my parents Parented when I was a kid, and seeing the parents depicted very realistically in pjsk is so amazing. like yeah, they’re not cartoon villains being Evil Just Because, but do you have to do what they say? do you have to believe they know what’s best? hell, do you even have to forgive them? no. because regardless of their intentions, or their trauma, they still hurt you. and if they won’t take accountability and try to fix it, they aren’t magically exempt from the consequences of their own actions just by virtue of being a parent.

with the addition of our first ship pharmacy (akikasa pharm) i want lots of my followers to understand my policy on ships.

i want you guys to respect the pairings that people ship (unless it’s illegal or a proship or incest obviously) and i would really prefer arguments and conflict over ships not to happen at this pharmacy. i don’t have a huge otp, and with a cast as big as prosekai i understand lots of pairings and why they’re shipped.

I've said it before, I say it a lot honestly, but I love the reasonable assumptions we can make about firelizards breeding and social habits based on what we see in primarily DragonsDawn.

Like, we've got the basic 'greens Rise a lot and don't tend their nests while golds Rise more rarely and fiercely tend their nests'. That's great, we love us some behavioral morphs in species. But then you also have to consider what would lead to such a thing, namely that both of these behaviors have to be successful, and successful in comparison to each other, in order for one to not completely take over from the other. Meaning that each option has benefits over the other.

For instance, in years or seasons where there's a large predator population, gold clutches are probably the most successful as they're the best guarded. But if you're dealing with horrible weather, or gods forbid a Pass, the fact green clutches are spread out far and wide means it's more likely one or more will survive, while a gold needs just one bad storm or Fall to wipe her whole year's breeding opportunities off the map.

But like, the most obvious one is a pure numbers game. If you don't invest in your eggs post-laying, that frees you up to get back into laying condition sooner and make more eggs. For instance in emus you'll see a female lay 5+ eggs in a single nest, but then she leaves that business to the male and runs off to eat well and find another guy to foist eggs on, ending up with sometimes even five nests in a season. But if you do invest in your eggs post-laying, you get more security in-so-far as assuring your eggs hatch. In emus the males do that, they get the best of both worlds there, but even more effective is to have multiple individuals looking out for the eggs.

Which is where their eusocial-style behavior comes in! By having the rest of the group dedicated to supporting the gold as she guards and tends her nest, the cost of nest tending is spread out, reducing the load on any one member of the group. The same thing happens with youngcare, which seems to be wholly communal, again reducing the cost for any individual member of the group. But eusocial behaviors are most efficient when members of a group are related, you don't want to waste your life raising young that don't share your genes.

Then you remember that firelizards form mental bonds at birth, bonds that they can break with no issue but that they can and do maintain throughout their lives. Taking this and the last paragraph into account, most likely collections of wild firelizards are mostly formed of sibling groups. Even if your bronze brother didn't catch the gold this year, helping with the clutch improves the odds he'll catch next year, and in the meantime you have plenty of opportunity with the greens.

This also probably plays into the fact they hum for all allied births. A green's nest doesn't get tended, but the young still need feeding at hatching. If you're a male then coming when you get the psychic 'birth here now' signals is an easy choice because there's the real chance these are your brother's offspring and his reproductive success is second only to your own. If you're a female, this nest is likely a sister's, in which case same deal, their success is only second to yours. On either side, having more babies around means a higher chance of any individual baby not being eaten by a predator, increasing the survival odds of your own children.

And then all this likely plays into the various male morphs and the color and size differences between ranks. I've mentioned elsewhere- the various male morphs are likely optimized to chase different female morphs. Blues can keep up with the quicker, more agile greens, bronzes with the slower, longer flying golds, and browns are a 'jack-of-all-trades' rank that doesn't specialize but instead can successfully chase either female morph, just with lower odds than the specialized males.

As far as size differences go, it's again all on the females to start. Golds lay larger clutches and defend them from things like wherries, they need to be larger to fit more eggs, to better defend their nests, and to drive off rival golds. Bronzes have to be large to keep up with the golds when they Rise. Greens specialize in laying more clutches and so likely smaller clutches, so they don't need to get as big and can instead focus on evading predators and even being able to lure predators from a freshly laid clutch without getting snatched up, small size is useful there. Blues are also small because it allows them the speed and maneuverability to chase greens. Presumably the reason they're larger than greens are is due for some reason to their being male, likely related to the complex genetics likely tied to rank*. Browns are in the middle because it allows them enough speed and maneuverability to go for greens, but also enough stamina to try for golds.

Color, meanwhile, is likely a camouflage thing. Blues, greens, and browns are all natural colors, perfect for making it harder for predators to notice you. According to the DLG firelizards come in a variety of shades, I wouldn't be surprised if there was even a degree of midtones between the various ranks. Golds and bronzes, meanwhile, I think are more likely a matter of reflective camouflage. A gold on a nest may be hard to look at in bright light, or at a glance appear to just be a patch of wet sand. If a gold has to leave the nest, more likely the sire would be left to guard it, and similar camouflage would fill a similar role. It might even, for some bronzes, give the impression that the larger gold is still on the nest, deterring predators that don't want to tangle with one. Since the smaller ranks are far less likely to be on a nest, more matte tones to mack dirt, wood, sky, foliage would be most effective.

It's all just fascinating and not quite like anything we have on Earth, though you can make parallels between several different Earth species. Absolutely love it.

okay first of all i just think the premise of where their dynamic starts is so funny bc they r so >:3 >:| core and i love that for them.

BUT. goes under the cut bc i have thoughts and feelings

the thing i LOOOVE tapping into with akirui (and akikasa/akiruikasa) as well is that for all akito bitches and moans hes more like rui (and tsukasa) then he insists he isnt.

i made another post before about akito and tsukasa both push themselves beyond their health limits for their dreams (and as well in my fic 'the balsam, fallen silent' it comes up that tsukasa's stunt in phoenix pissed akito off BECAUSE of how much it reminded him of himself with what happened in sbd)

with rui you have to read between the lines a bit more but there's a big deal made of how they're both very passionate about what they create and making what they create the best they can be

similarly to the phoenix/sbd stuff, rui does also push himself in a different but similar way, as seen in darkfes, where akito chastises him for downplaying his injury and to let people help him for the sake of putting on the best show possible.

you could argue there's a point of comparison to be made about how much they mask. akito with his polite front he uses around people he doesn't know, and rui reigning himself in at best or acting completely detached from what hurts him at worst. there's an excerpt from a fic i really like that summarizes rui's state well i think:

and also as well as of the most recent event, we have rui asking akito who does and doesn't know about the latter's fear of dogs because he's trying to be delicate and careful regarding discussion of what is described to be trauma for akito, and akito is shown to be surprised and very touched by this act.

i don't think akito ever truly fully hated tsukasa or rui, but in the case of rui you can really see how much akito grows to tolerate and enjoy his company, to the point he can enjoy himself in rui's presence so long as rui doesn't try to treat him like tsukasa (ie: the situations)

also if i can ever finish the wip i have w/ them. the topic does come of shinei being a shithead, and i don't think we talk enough about how of the times we've seen rui genuinely pissed off and ready to throwdown it was about someone harming (emotionally or otherwise) a person he cares about. rui would hear about shinei and experience a rage unlike anything he's experienced since the scuffles with shosuke emus brothers. ive said this before but if akitoya is "lets run away together and we can escape everything and everyone thats ever hurt us", akirui is "you can run to me, i'll protect you. i won't let anyone hurt you ever again"

Do Kohane and Shiho ever clash in terms of how the script is written for specific plays and how Shiho visualizes it to be portrayed?

Sometimes, their images for shows do conflict, but they don't really get into heated debates about it or anything.

The worst that's happened is Kohane sacrificing her image of a play for the sake of Shiho's vision— which upset Shiho because she doesn't want Kohane to take her own influence out of their shows just to appease her.

After Shiho noticed Kohane was doing this, both of them were at a loss for what to do.

Kohane is pretty conflict avoidant, and the last thing she wants to do is hurt Shiho, so I feel like she'd overthink the situation and run it around in circles in her head. She also feels a little insecure in her writing as is and considers Shiho to have objectively better ideas than her (even if her feelings disagree to some extent).

For Shiho, she's concerned about Kohane holding back because of her, but is simultaneously scared of being too blunt with Kohane and hurting her feelings— especially with how sensitive the latter can be. Shiho is used to her blunt nature being misinterpreted, and while she knows Kohane is much stronger than she seems, that fear still lingers at the edge of her mind...

Luckily, they were able to talk it out with Ena and Emu's help. Emu's heightened sense of empathy and emotional intelligence helped Shiho analyze the situation and figure out what to do about it without hurting Kohane. Ena's confrontational yet kind nature helped Kohane work up the courage to actually talk to Shiho, reminding her that they'll definitely fix the problem together— and even if things do go wrong, Ena will be there to support her. I also feel like Ena would try to inspire more confidence in Kohane by sharing her honest opinions about her ideas and writing after Kohane openly puts herself down in front of her... could it be that Ena sees a little bit of herself in Kohane?

So after this whole situation, Shiho and Kohane now compromise whenever their images conflict. They identify what parts of their shows and ideas are most important to them and try combining them the best they can in a way that is fulfilling for both of them. Sometimes, it's much more of a struggle than they expect, but as friends, they'll get through it together!

I think Emu constantly drags WxS into games after/before practice so here are headcanons of them playing and hanging out. Whimsy and fun wandasho forever

They like to do acting games as a warm up. They take turns acting out a motion, object, or animal and the rest have to guess what it is. Emu repeatedly calls out the first thing that comes to mind regardless of how accurate it is, Tsukasa and Nene are normally the best guessers, but Rui is the only one who can guess what on earth Emu is trying to imitate. She always picks difficult things like food or something random she saw that day.

If they wrap up practice early and have nothing better to do, I think hide-and-seek is a go to. Emu is THE best hider. Being five foot nothing is a superpower, she squeezes herself into tight places like a bug. A majority of the time they give up on looking for her and she crawls out of the most ridiculous hiding spot giggling. It's practically cheating because she knows the park so well. Nene is a close second, she’s a professional at not wanting to be seen.

The worst hider is Tsukasa for no particular reason, he gets really competitive to the point he starts scoping out a spot to hide before practice and but he’s almost always found first and it makes him really mad. Emu and Rui sometimes pretend to pass up his spot so he can feel like he’s winning. Nene doesn’t spare him the pity.

Rui is at a hiding disadvantage because of his height and gets alittle ambitious so he will occasionally get himself stuck somewhere and everyone starts worrying if he’s the last person to be found. He’s annoying to find because he keeps moving to obvious spots the seeker already checked so he knows they won’t come back. Tsukasa and Nene claim it’s cheating and everytime he pulls out the crocodile tears.

Rui is also the most annoying seeker because sometimes he can point out where everyone is hiding without even moving from the spot he counted. They swear he cheats but he just has really good intuition about these kinds of things. Not only can he find them quickly, he could explain the exact thought process that led them to hide there.

“I heard the branches rustling so I knew Emu-kun climbed a tree to my right. Nene gave up halfway through a picked a spot she’s already chosen before and Tsukasa-kun panicked realizing he was running out of time so his hiding was clumsy and rushed.”

...They swear he’s cheating.

If they play tag it usually ends in a showdown between Emu and Tsukasa. Tsukasa takes it as practice for catching her when she sneaks into their school… but playing has only made Emu even faster and better at escaping him.

Normally they limit the hiding range to a specific area, but if they’re feeling especially competitive they will play the game with full range of the park while RoboNene and the mascots help as seekers.

Rui is actually very quick and knows exactly how to get someone off his tail. It’s all “I refuse to jump more than an inch off the ground during MVs” to a professional athlete sprint when it’s time to run away from teachers.

Nene is the worst at tag, sometimes she flat out refuses to play and wonders “How on earth do you guys still have this much energy after practice…?” WxS agreed she can have RoboNene carry her during tag because it’s fun but Rui keeps making suggestions to add rockets to her feet or other outrageous ways to make her faster.

They have a stash of board games in the back of the stage. They’ll play if it gets rainy during practice while discussing their next show. Monopoly turns Rui into a monster, WxS’s TRUE disbandment arc, friendships ruined, lives destroyed, etc. Does his greed know no bounds….!?

They would be suckers for a DnD campaign.

They all lean over Nene’s shoulder while she plays on her phone or whatever handheld console she has and watch like toddlers. She’ll give them a turn if they pull out the puppy eyes for long enough.

i would like to share my little PJSK fantasy AU :>

so basically, in a kingdom ruled by the Otori family, there are witches being hunted down by the royal family's knights as they have been deemed a threat and are looked down upon in their society.

said witches include all MMJ members, Rui, Nene, Kanade and Ena. one discovers that they possess witchcraft abilities when they turn thirteen. the MMJ members befriended each other very soon after discovering that they had it in common and became quite well-known in the underground witch community due to being particularly skilled, while Rui and Nene tried to be much more secretive about their abilities in fear of being outcast. they performed shows together in town, Rui being quite invested in the art of combining magic and tech.

however, one day, Rui accidentally outed both himself and Nene in front of a whole audience upon getting a bit too ambitious in trying out this one spell while Nene's on stage- it went wrong and out of stress, Nene accidentally cast some magic in front of everyone (witches, especially those on the younger side, have a tendency to cause accidental magic when feeling strong emotion), so they both fled from their homes, taking refuge in the woods surrounding the village where they discovered other witches- MMJ- hiding there too and are invited to their hideout.

Ena was disowned immediately when her magical side was revealed and Kanade always knew she would likely be a witch as both her parents were- her mother was executed for it and her father was so torn up by it that he also soon passed. back when they were both just over thirteen, Ena, lost and helpless, stumbled upon Kanade's family mansion hidden in the woods- only other witches are able to see it, so Kanade immediately knew that Ena must be one and took her in.

on the other side of things, the more experienced knights are Tsukasa, Mizuki, Akito and Shiho. Saki and Toya are apprentice knights, each having been assigned a qualified knight as a mentor- Saki, her brother and Toya, Akito. Shiho and Akito have an understanding between them as they both harbour some resentment towards their sisters for being witches- though secretly, they both miss them very much and are more so upset that Shizuku and Ena weren't able to hide it and therefore forced to run away, rather than angry regarding the actual witchcraft.

then, there's Princess Emu, who actually quite likes the idea of the witches and has often begged her family (ahem, her brothers, ahem) to stop outlawing, imprisoning and executing them. of course, not very successfully. Princess Mafuyu, from another kingdom, is currently living with the Otori family as a sort of ambassador. Ichika and Honami are Emu's personal guards while Kohane and An are Mafuyu's. however- Mafuyu is secretly a witch herself and is doing her very best to keep it hidden...

An outburst from your little brother at the dinner table sends his sister after him, and the next thing you know, you've got two new siblings. They're a little off, though. You had zero interest in living in Witwicky, much less a farm. Saying goodbye to all your friends and the big city stung, much less the unfamiliar environment that you were now. You loved mum and dad, you really did, but did they expect you to tend to cows? Sure, mum wanted to be a park ranger and you wanted the best for her, but you still felt a little grumpy at the strange and sudden change.

You tried to deal with it, though. The Internet here wasn't the best, but you got some online guides about how to cope with moving and tried to replicate them to the best of your ability. You still responded to your friend's group chats and tried to not complain about it. You didn't want to accidentally hurt your family's feelings by being overly grumpy, and Mo especially was prone to a wide and wild range of emotions.

It was just one dinner. One normal dinner turning into Robby venting about his issues and running away from the table, Mo after him. The two were close, so you didn't chase after them, and besides; your dad had cooked tonight. You were not abandoning such good food made by yours truly.

So, after dinner, you went to bed, blissfully unaware that your younger siblings were creating a brand new species from lake water and ancient alien artifacts.

The next few days were fucking hectic, to say the least. Mum was now a GHOST agent, working alongside Optimus Prime and the Autobots (the inner child in you really wanted one of their autographs, but you knew it probably wasn't the right time), Robby and Mo got new alien tattoos which you realized were permanent, and you were in the car, chasing after the aliens that Robby and Mo had gotten attached to. Because they created them.

.....Fuck, could you go back to Philly now?

Now you had some Cybertronian human hybrids (Terrans, that apparently some mad scientist had called them) living in your farm with your younger siblings insisting that they were now your new siblings and for you to please be nice to them because they knew you could be a little blunt. You just wanted to burrow your head down in the dirt like an emu and let sweet death take you.

As for Thrash and Twitch, they had no reservations to calling you family. Just because you didn't have a cybersleeve like Robby and Mo that doesn't mean they weren't your sibling, and wanted to treat you accordingly.

To your credit, you weren't rude to them, and though you knew it would take a while to get used to their presence, you treated them with dignity and basic respect as you did to Robby and Mo. But it was obvious to everyone that you weren't fully on board with them just yet, always hesitant when talking to them. The move, the threat that GHOST would invade the place and get you in trouble, and the close contact to the Cybertronian's (god, fucking Bumblebee lived with you now) would take you a little while to get adjusted to.

But for Twitch and Thrash, that was a bit harder to understand. With Robby and Mo, the cybersleeves allowed them to feel what they felt and get to the root of the problem. But you didn't have a cybersleeve, and though they could get that you weren't on board yet, they thought that it they just got close to you, you'd be comfy around them and you could fully embrace them as your siblings!

And so, they got.....clingy. Twitch offered to help you with the chores, not taking no for an answer, and even went against her competitive nature to let you keep the stars. She even tried to let you ride her alt mode like Robby enjoyed, but you were heavier then him and a rocky landing got you a broken ankle, a hit head and some bitter feelings for the time being. Twitch didn't understand the time being part, and cried to her parents about hurting you, despite their assurances that you would be fine and that they knew any bitter feelings from you would pass. She tried numerously to sneak out and see you at the hospital, but some reprimanding and reminders about GHOST stopped her, but instead made her sulk all the way to the barn.

Thrash was desperate to act like a 'cool bro' to you, but he often tried the same things he did with Mo, temporarily and frequently forgetting that you didn't have the same interests as her. He tried to project of someone trustworthy and realible, constantly by your side and attempting to impress you by showing off fancy tricks, alt mode based or otherwise. But when he and accidentally bought Swindle to the house, bad blood increased, especially when them sneaking out to assist him resulted in Mo sneaking out and breaking the law. Nine was no time to develop a criminal record!

Everything was happening so fast for you. There were no time to sit and breathe because everyday something was happening and you just wanted to be safe. Fuck, you wanted to go home. You wanted to meet your friends again, you wanted your family to be safe, you just wanted everything to be normal, and God damn it you mean it in the nicest way possible but Twitch and Thrash were anything but normal. You had made new friends but you could never invite them over because of the aliens living in your house, you were terrified for your mum's safety every day, and spending time with your dad, who was always so assuring, didn't quell the anxiety

They didn't get it. Mo and Robby were completely fine with them despite getting in trouble all the time, but you were still hesitant over them despite it having been a few weeks. Shouldn't you have been used to them by now? Everyone else was, except you. Were they doing something wrong? They just wanted to feel accepted by you; they didn't want to make you feel scared around them. They would just have to try harder!

Without the cybersleeve, they made a list of all of your hobbies, likes and body language, doing everything to figure out what they would need to do to make you enjoy their company. You like flowers? Twitch stole mum's flowerbed and handed it to you. Thrash would beg Dot and Alex to set up your favourite holiday decorations and celebrate early. And yes, they watched you sleep. The way you clutched your pillow, the way your chest heaved with every breath, even the incoherent sleepwalking, Twitch and Thrash kept it in a special file all about you in the processor if they needed the info later (thank Bumblebee for telling them about that)! They asked Bumblebee to contact your favourite Autobot, provided that they weren't going to rat them out, and begged the Cybertronian to write their autograph on your behalf

Everyday when you came home from school, they asked you all the questions. With Robby and Mo they unconsciously knew all the big details, but with you they wanted all the gossip. If you were getting bullied or harassed during school, they'd try to take your mind off of it by distracting you with all the things you like, which they know about due to the files. Occasionally they'd try and teach your bullies a lesson, but a few sharp reminders from Dot about no sneaking out forced them to rely on mum and dad to handle any personal issues at school. They'd help you with homework, taking in every note from your hatred of algebra to the way you stuck out your tongue while working, all in the hopes that you'd learn to love their company.

Don't worry, they're not going to do anything too drastic, as they still have a decent set of morals and the rest of the Malto's to rein them in. Still, their relationship with you is different from the one with Robby and Mo. All they want is to be a big happy family with everyone, and they're willing to do anything to achieve that with you. Even if they roped in the three new Terrans into feeling the same way about you and engaging in the same activites and adding their own notes to the general, you were family! You wouldn't hurt your family, right???

before: a bit underweight, i imagine he got a bit too into eating "healthy" at times and would refuse a lot of foods he deemed unhealthy, which caused him to not get certain nutrients at times even tho he needed them, add to that his forgetfulness especially when it comes to taking care of himself and you can see why hes skinny like that. i also imagine he would often burn more calories than he consumed in a day with all his practicing and just running around in general, which is definetly not that good when youre already underweight. he would often wonder why he seemingly just cant gain any muscle and assumed its just kinda how he naturally is, tho he didnt mind much since his build was similar to a lot of his idols

after: he gained some healthy weight!!!! yippieee!!! with wxs constantly reminding him to take care of himself + with emu bringing some food/snacks nearly everyday he gained some healthy weight, hes now pretty average with maybe a bit of chub in some places. he also finally started building some muscle thanks to all the practice and ruis "training"? if you can call it that? he does get a bit insecure about it at times, wishing he would be back to his build that was like his idols, but wxs are quick to remind him that the best star is a happy and healthy one!! his natural state definitely wasnt skinny, at least not as skinny as he was before

before: you already know she was malnourished and looked like she barely saw the light of day... she had a very weak appetite and her horrible sleep schedule didnt help. she tried to eat well but she struggled with it a lot, tho she never exactly knew why, she would just very quickly feel full and wouldnt feel hungry untill way too many hours later. she would eat like. 2 small meals a day and maybe some snacks in between.

after: you guessed it she gained weight and is chubbier!!!!!! yayayyaa!!!! i think she would hear others motivate tsukasa to eat better and seeing him want to improve on that motivated her to do the same. because of the low appetite thing she struggled pretty hard at first but with time she managed to figure it out and now eats more and is feeling good!!! this is thanks to mostly emu who would love to bring foods and snacks nene loved so they can share it any time the 2 would hang out, but also thanks to the practices and stamina building she was able to kinda feel like she was burning the unnecessary calories? i imagine she struggled pretty hard when she realized how much weight she put on thinking its a bad thing, but with a lot of support and care from wxs she realized this is way healthier for her than wherever she had going on before!!! she doesnt gain muscle easily tho, so not much of that going on + she does focus more on stamina itself rather than gaining muscle and physical strength

before: chubby, obviously. fat even!!!! definetly overweight and not bothered by it at all! she definetly thinks it makes her look cuter :3 my girl loves foods and snacks and nobody can ruin her mood for those. she also had a fair bit of muscle and liked that its not visible so shes strong but nobody can tell, and she can suprise them with it for funsies

after: still pretty much the same!! tho since she started training and working out even more i imagine a bit of her weight turned into more muscle, so shes even more muscle now!!!! she loves it!!! its still not visible unless she flexes, which makes the muscles pretty prominent and she LOVES jumpscaring people with that because nobody expects it for some reason, despite how athletic she is. besides her arms i imagine her legs are pretty built as well seeing how much she runs, especially from one school to another in a matter of minutes to visit her friend. what can i say my girl loves to eat and run around!!! her love language is soooo sharing a meal with her friends btw. its canon i just know it.

before: barely eats doesnt sleep much, just a mess honestly. he doesnt rlly have friends atp and yet still he takes care of others more than he does himself..... needless to say hes tall, lanky, underweight as hell and palest of them all despite not staying inside all that much. lives off of whatever his parents make him if he remembers to eat it and random store bought/school cafeteria foods. malnutrition for sure too like fym u eat no vegetables and ur fine??? bro doesnt even take any vitamins atp to make up for it

after: gained a bit of weight!! hes still skinny because thats just kinda how he naturally is, but hes getting tricked into eating veggies or at least stuff that can replace veggies with the needed nutritions otherwise. he also started taking some vitamins to make up for that too, and despite being naturally pale he did tan a bit!! he still forgets to eat way too often but wxs make up for it with tsukasa always being willing to share his food with him [at times even bringing bigger portions just in case rui needs it] and emu often bringing food to share with them all!!!!

can u tell im a little bit obsessed with gaining weight as a sign of healing. because i am and i love that trope. with the power of love you will stop being underweight and malnourished god bless.

alright boys time to talk about my prosekai fantasy au.

this is all just assorted wordvomit but there's something of a plotline to this so hear me out. (thanks to @egret-orchids for helping me in places!)

i have no idea what i'm doing and i have exams in two weeks. this is how i choose to spend my time.

the plot's as follows:

the yoru empire (imperial soldiers) and the kingdom of azayakana (knights of white) are at war, allegedly over territory.

mafuyu's an imperial soldier and a very good one. kanade's the imperial princess, away to sort something out in senritsu, an island off the main coast.

though that's all a cover story. mafuyu's the real princess. kanade's taken her place. it's not like the people of senritsu have ever met mafuyu before, right?

toya serves as kanade's personal guard. lizards follow him everywhere, something rui's friend torpe really doesn't like. he's a man of many talents, though he doesn't talk much.

ichika's a senritsun commander, alongside honami, who's a general, and saki, who's a new recruit but very enthusiastic.

rui's the court sorcerer who only came with kanade in case she needed some sort of spellwork done. she didn't. he's a bit of a mystery on purpose - he'd rather keep people guessing than admit the truth, no matter what.

torpe is a friend of rui's. definitely foreign but nice enough. he's a great pianist and toya looks up to him a lot. and if the lizards weren't always around that'd be completely fine.

tsukasa tenma was a knight, the best of his generation, perhaps of all time. he and the other 'knights of white', as they were known, were famous for their strength, their wits and their bravery. there's something missing now, with such a star dead.

mizuki akiyama's a knight. they're a commander, and akito can suck it, he's never going to get that promotion. he's too reckless, you know? but with tsukasa dead maybe they should reconsider things. ena's in yoru. ena, who understands them more than most people because she was outcast too.

akito shinonome is a knight. a general, actually, but that doesn't mean that much when mizuki stole all the glory. they're a real pain. so was tsukasa, but akito's not the type to speak ill of the dead.

shiho was a knight. she's not, now, seeing as they technically deserted. tsukasa said he was going to. he wanted to find his sister and tell her all about his victories. they just wanted out of the army and out of the kingdom, and now she's headed for senritsu, or maybe yoru, with no idea where to restart.

minori, haruka and shizuku are all nobility. airi works for minori.

an's an informant for kaito, who heads the empire's spy network. so is 'vivid' (miku).

kohane lives with an in senritsu.

nene's a witch and a refugee fleeing azayakana. emu's a nobleman's youngest daughter pursuing the life of an adventurer. meiko runs the inn they're staying at!

ena's an old friend of mizuki's, an artist and witch. she's a bit of a recluse and spends most of her time painting. luka's the one who keeps an eye on her.

len's the newest knight of white. rin lives in azayakana and keeps their family's business running.

Mikudemy agere au - Pure Heart Class headcanons!

(aka Shizuku Hinomori and five of the tiniest fellas in existence)

-Due to how relaxed and calm it is in this class, it's very common for these little guys to end up feeling small, it's just so cozy! A lot of them are a bit more nervous when it comes to being little around others though, but Miku is working to help them feel more comfortable!

-Ichika's age range is normally around 4-6, and she spends a lot of her time while little playing simple games with her plushies or listening to child-friendly Miku songs. She's relatively shy when it comes to regressing, but she's starting to come out of her shell more, and out of her class she tends to cling to Shizuku and Miku the most when she's small, alongside the other Leo/need members. Somewhat nervous when being a CG, but she's actually pretty good at it with how caring she can be.

-Shizuku doesn't regress that much, but when she does she's usually ~5-7. A very relaxed little one, content to just work on simple idol things or watch cartoons, though when she has others to play with pretend games are very prevalent. Airi and Shiho are the main ones she goes to when she's small, though she feels comfortable with the others in her class too. Again, she isn't little that often, but she loves helping out with the others! "Shizu-nee" is very loved by the tiny guys, she's so kind and gentle!

-Toya is the littlest out of this class, regressing to about 1-3. Very calm small one, give him a plushie and a paci and he'll be very happy. Quite cuddly, and absolutely loves being read to. Nervous regressing around most people that aren't Akito or Tsukasa, though he's slowly getting more comfortable with it. As a caregiver he might not seem that good at it, but he's actually able to make little ones quite happy, as if he's channeling the care he wished he received as an actual child.

-Emu, the most hyper of the Pure Heart kids! 3-5 age range, happy to be with pretty much everyone (except Mafuyu, she's kind of scared of Mafuyu >m<), but she loves being with the other WxS members and the Virtual Singers the most. Constantly running around the school, playing games and talking to everyone she sees, maybe getting into a little mischief. She always keeps a few plushies in her bag, just in case she or anyone else needs some comfort! Surprisingly good at being a caregiver, she's amazing at playing with and comforting tiny ones, they never leave without a smile when she's there!

-Kanade's range is typically around 3-5, though she can slip as young as two at times. Very calm and sleepy little one, content to just listen to music or cuddle one of her loveys. Attached at the hip with Miku when she's small in class, Do Not seperate them, outside of that Honami and the others in N25 are usually who she goes to. Seeing as she can hardly take care of herself, it's a bit rough for her to be a good caregiver for others, but she's doing her best!

-Nightcord Miku isn't that close to being a traditional CG (seeing as she's almost like a little sister to the Mikudemy students), but she's quite good at the job! She's always willing to play with any little ones, and she's good at calming them down if they're upset. Even though she doesn't really regress, she's almost seen as a fellow little one by the tiny guys, it's like the best of both worlds!

-Oddly calm when they're all little, usually parallel play is more abundant than doing so together, though it can happen! Simple games like hide and seek or playing pretend are common, not much more intense than that due to how little Toya and Kanade can be. Emu's more hyper nature clashes a bit with the other little ones, but they all still have fun regardless! Really, the only time there's any conflict is if things get too noisy, or when Emu's the only one refusing to take a nap-

-At first glance they're the littlest of the classes (second smallest once the Cautious Heart kids feel more comfortable with being more open about agere-), which only adds to how other classes tend to feel the need to protect them. They're too innocent and calm for their own goods, so if you do anything bad to a Pure Heart kid expect the entire academy to be out to get you. Especially the Solid Heart Class kids, they'd do anything for their tiny guys!

The Tenma Household's Hinamatsuri Event Story Sumary

TL;DR: Saki and Tsukasa decide to host a Hinamatsuri party, the first they've had at home since Saki was discharged. To commemorate the occasion, Tsukasa, along with Toya, went to go purchase some fancy new Emperor and Empress dolls. In the past, he'd tried bringing them to Saki in the hospital, but tripped on the way and got them torn and dirty. He believed Saki's smile when he showed them to her was forced, so he vowed to fix them for her one day.

However, when Saki catches Tsukasa changing the dolls, she yells at him. She thought Tsukasa had completely forgotten why those torn dolls were special to her. Tsukasa didn't know what she was so upset about. The two left for school angry.

They also both immediately regretted fighting like that. Saki cried to Honami, and Tsukasa to Toya. Saki tried texting Tsukasa, but he left his phone at home. Tsukasa, still believing Saki was mad at him, went to SEKAI after school instead. There, he talked to Luka, the new member of the Wonderland SEKAI, and realized he needed to go home. Honami had come to the school gates to try and clear the situation up as well.

Toya, meanwhile, had gone to the Tenma household to explain Tsukasa's perspective. Saki realized that Tsukasa hadn't forgotten; just misinterpreted why she had such a strange expression. She didn't want her family to worry so she tried not to cry, but seeing her brother made her happy to the point of tears. The two siblings eventually cleared their misunderstanding and displayed both sets of dolls on the Hinamatsuri stand.

Chapter 1: Saki and Tsukasa work to decorate the house for Hinamatsuri. They're planning to host a party to celebrate (though Tsukasa's show ideas was shot down). Saki reaches up to place the tattered Emperor and Empress dolls on the stand. Tsukasa's glad Saki is having fun, but worries over the state of those dolls. He wants this to be the best Hinamatsuri ever for her.

Chapter 2: Wonderlands x Showtime head over to SEKAI to practice. There, they meet the newest member of SEKAI: Luka. She fell asleep immediately. Tsukasa suggests having a Hinamatsuri party for Luka (though he wouldn't be able to make it since he's already having one with Saki). Emu, Rui, and Nene talk about their own Hinamatsuri memories for ideas.

Chapter 3: Toya runs into Tsukasa shopping for Hinamatsuri at the mall, so he offers to help carry things. However, rather than the party store, Tsukasa ends up taking him to a doll store.

Back when Saki was in the hospital, she never got the chance to have a Hinamatsuri with the doll stand. Tsukasa finds her crying about it after she thought he'd left, so he steals the Emperor and Empress from home to bring to her. However, he trips on the way and ruins them. Saki smiled anyways, but Tsukasa felt super guilty about almost breaking them. Now, he wants to get some new dolls to make up for it.

Chapter 4: Tsukasa and Toya run into Leo/need on the way home. They're all super excited for the party. Toya's glad to see Saki so happy, too.

Saki catches Tsukasa replacing the dolls on the stand. She starts crying, much to Tsukasa's confusion. Those tattered dolls were precious to her, and she believes Tsukasa forgot why. The two fight before going their separate ways.

Chapter 5: When Honami finds Saki crying during lunch, Saki confesses about her fight with Tsukasa. She regrets being so mean to him. Honami tells her to text him with her apology, but he hasn't responded to her all day. Honami wonders if there's anything she can do to help.

Toya's concerned that Tsukasa hasnt texted him back yet. He ends up running into Tsukasa in the hallway, who then realizes he'd forgotten his phone at home. When Toya asks how the dolls went, Tsukasa reveals his fight with Saki. Toya wonders if there's anything he can do to help.

Chapter 6: Tsukasa doesn't want to go home just yet, so he goes to SEKAI to help set up for their party. He ends up assisting Luka with the Hinamatsuri stand, and talking to her about his fight with Saki. He doesn't want to go home because he doesn't want to make her mad again. Luka thinks he should try anyways, because it would be more sad if he wasn't. Nene rushes over to tell Tsukasa Honami's waiting for him at the school gate.

Honami reveals that Saki isn't mad about their fight anymore. She wants to apologize and fears he might not show up for the party. Upon hearing this, Tsukasa sprints all the way home.

Chapter 7: Saki, Ichika, and Shiho finish setting up at the Tenma house. The other two realize something happened between Tsukasa and Saki, though they dont ask. Shiho asks about the dirty dolls on the top of the stand.

Saki recounts her version of that day. She was sad that she couldn't celebrate Hinamatsuri at home, but didn't say anything while her family was there so they wouldn't worry about her. To her suprise, Tsukasa came back later that evening with the dirty dolls. She was happy he brought them, but even more so that he came back. She tries her best not to cry of happiness.

Toya knocks on the door soon after. He wanted Saki to know that Tsukasa only wanted to see her smile with the new dolls, and that he'd been saving up for years for them. Just then, Tsukasa comes sprinting down the street.

Chapter 8: Both Tenmas apologize at the same time. Tsukasa asks what he could have possibly forgotten about that day. Saki realizes that Tsukasa hadn't forgotten anything, just misinterpreted her smile. Honami catches up soon after the two finish apologies, and Toya is asked to stay for the party. Saki places both the old and new dolls on the stand before posing for a picture.

i think a lot of people who are aware of Shane sort of just think of him as the skeptic guy on bfu/ghost files (not saying that’s u obv just a lot of ppl bc I guess I need this to be a pitch meeting) and I think that is a shame because HOLY SHIT HES SO TALENTED AND COOL AND WEIRD AND THE SHIT HE MAKES IS SO FUCKIKNG INSANELY GOOD

Ok so going back in time for a second to b*zzfeed. Who btw did not deserve this guy. Afaik he had two major like, creative projects on there. Ruining History and The Hot Daga. Both were very good. ruining history was a fun history show he did with Sara and Ryan and there are rotating guests every episode. Shane is very interested in history, very good at teaching history, and i think in an alternate universe hes a beloved high school history teacher. Ruining History is the father of puppet history. B*zzfeed canned it and i miss it every day. and then there’s the other father of Puppet History, Hot Daga. Hot Daga is insane. I love Hot Daga, its not for everyone, but I think its so good. The lore goes crazy, he produced and made original songs for it, he animated the whole final half season by himself which is fuckinf insane. He made a ballad for it and actually i need everyone reading this to Listen to “believe me maizey” and then directly after listen to the Meteor Ballad from Puppet History. OH LOOK A SEGWAY

Puppet history is so fuckinf good. Its So Good. And especially in later seasons since hes doing so much you really start to see his improvement as an artist and its just. Its incredible. Some of the somgs are genuinely fucking masterpieces, like some of my favs are The Flower Boat Song, Asmodeus, The Horse and God song, the Emu song, Big Pile Of Diamonds, Infinitiger, The Window Song, Gay Oars Duet, Hologram Professor Song, and the Meteor’s Ballad. And more. Uhh OH the Olympic Torch is really good too. His lyrics are so smart and fun and his vocals are so impressive and he has such good range, he duetted Himself for the Oar song and managed to make the two voices identifiable as separate characters without being over the top. The lyrics range from poetic anf beautiful to weird and funny often within the Same song! Its just so good and he starts so good and gradually over the years he’s done the show you can see him getting more comfortable and better at music which is crazy causw again HE STARTED OFF GOOD! HE WAS INSANE IN HOT DAGA AND HE IS SOMEHOW EVEN BETTER IN PUPPET HISTORY LIKE! and and and ok here’s where I get crazy and a little parasocial (lol not really i am misusing that word for the bit LOL)

Something about all his work is that you can kind of see how his art depicts the world. In Hot Daga you get the line “what else can you do in the face of such monumental loss, but breath a weary sigh as the world is a little quieter now.” And in Puppet history you get uh actually you get like 20 things from the meteor song but one of my favorite parts is (read blue as the professor, orange as the meteor, pink as both) “some shit’s just etched into the stars, calamities you cant outrun/and when sweet earth we finally meet/the sky will burn and boil the sea/as mountains rend/its you and me.” i think both these lyrics and these somgs demonstrate a maturity about the world that you dont really see in a lot of people, his general kindness towards anything and everything and his ability to change perspectives on things without being forceful. (On a personal note I listened to The Meteor song after someone I knew passed, and as dumb as it maybe sounds the idea that like,, death is not cruel, you can’t always run and sometimes the best thing you can do is be there with the people you love as the world ends.) and also I think that you really can tell that he views the people he’s telling you about as People and not just like, figures. Ykwim. He shows such genuine respect and care for everyone in these stories and I’ve already like briefly in these stories but like, you KNOW if a guy can make me cry for the Meteor that killed the dinosaurs then he’s something special. i also think the way he portrays death in his work is very comforting as a whole. and another thing speakinf of rhat is that he has so much respect for other cultures in a level I think that goes beyond just bare minimum not being a piece of shit. Like especially when he’s teaching history, an example that always sticks out to me is how much effort he put into making sure people remembered and thought about Hatshepsut by having a whole episode on her history then also making an EXTREMELY (probably intentionally so though i cant be sure bc I can’t reas minds) catchy song that Told you to think of Hatshepsut and explained Why uou should think of Hatshepsut and it’s been stuck in my head ever since I first heard it years ago. Also I’m consistently impressed by his good pronunciation of things, I remember in the Tunguska event episode of mystery files there were so many ppl from tbe area he was talking about shocked by how good his pronunciation was. And ive seen that so many times w him like, idk i just think thats very cool. He’s a genuinely really mature and respectful guy I think. Wise too. So much of his work has educated me, changed my worldview for the better, inspired me. Like He’s so talented ik i keep saying that but HE IS!

Like ok so. He can write both songs and stories beautifully. he’s wise as fuck and could probably be a philosopher. He can make puppets (and just tbc later season puppet history the puppets are not him, but in the early seasons afaik they were all him, so he is definitely skilled at that.), he can sing, he can voice act, his graphics and editing are off the charts, he’s educated and smart, hes funny. He’s so fuckinf cool.

also again getting parasocial here but I just really like how much of a zest for life the guy seems to have. ⊱ Minori started or be worried when she first met you and when she noticed that you weren't fully able to express yourself... but of course she didn't wanted to come off as mean by asking you personal questions like that

⊱ but when you became close, it kinda had to be out sooner or later and when it is, you can only expect her to comfort you as well as she can

⊱ when she first heard about your back story, she was running in circles around her house gathering items like blanket, sweets, comfort books/shows/music just so she can give you them in hopes to make you feel better

"Ah! YN, don't worry! I got you blanket, your favorite snack, drink, movie, song, book, comfy pillow and ud you need something more just tell me! It'll be alright, I promise! You need to believe in better tomorrow!"

⊱ but of course, beside comforting she also wants to help you however she can!

⊱ she's most likely to get and show you around her interests and places she likes in hopes that something will move your heart a little bit

⊱ as for your rough childhood... she really wanted to just go and talk with your parents but she stopped herself, not wanting bad opinion...

⊱ but if it were to come back... she may not insult them or anything but she'll definitely try her best to help you somehow! Key word... try... she's a bit too soft for this...

⊱ Shizuku is very caring but also pretty blunt... but she does notice that you're not smiling very often...

⊱ so of course she decides to ask you about it and she's both soft and straightforward with her question to you

⊱ if you tell her, that's when she realizes she needs to help her partner and make you smile again! She doesn't know where to start tho so she'll ask you for any kind of clues you may have

"Maybe something that made you happy as a child? Or something that recently made you feel warm on your chest?"

⊱ and now it's up to you if you decide to tell her about reason for your difficulty to express yourself but if you do, she'll listen calmly and give you comforting back rubs

⊱ and now with all those clues you gave her, she'll do her best to help you out! She'll start from little and simple things but will move onto more extreme things or anything she thinks might make you feel something

⊱ as for how she feels about your parents after discovering what they did... she's a bit upset at them and she decides to give you all the comfort and support you could need herself!

⊱ Tsukasa often tried putting smile on your face so of course he noticed quite quickly that all his tries failed... but he decided to not give up and eventually will even ask you about it

⊱ when you tell him you have trouble showing emotions, he became frozen... and that's when he made it his goal to help you with it!

⊱ if you decide to tell him, he somehow gets you... and of course if you still live with your parents, he'll try to hangout with you as often as he can so you can take your mind off them and maybe that'll help?

⊱ there's also a chance he'll be less friendly to your parents... he won't be completely mean to them but he may be a bit more cold than he's to most people

⊱ Emu definitely noticed your lack of showing emotions almost immidietly, and when she greeted you with "Wonderhoy" she only was more sure of that

⊱ yeah that situation scared her... but when you two eventually got close she was trying to make you smile but it always had this strange feeling to it

⊱ so of course when you got even closer, she tried and tried but eventually decided to talk with you and now it's up to you if you decide to tell her~

⊱ if you don't, she'll continue trying to make you laugh, smile or anything just like she did

⊱ if you do though, she'll immidietly try to comfort you by putting performacne using few of her plushies and acting with them

⊱ she also thinks of more creative ways to make you smile and if she got at least a small grin from you, she'll think of something related to just that thing to get even better reaction!

⊱ I know I'm repeating but he IS very observant! So he immidietly picked on the fact you have problems while expressing emotions, maybe not on full emotionless but it's always something!

⊱ now, he won't approach this topic himself so the only way he can know that for sure is by you telling him

⊱ and when you do tell him, he'll make sure to make a note about everything that made you show even a bit of emotions, be it positive or negative, it's always something!

⊱ and with those little notes, he'll try to think of something similar but to also cause bigger reaction from you

"Hey darling, would you mind coming here for a second? I think my newest invention is ready to be tested~ And it has to be tasted by no one else than you!"

⊱ as for what caused that... he'll listen if you decide to tell him but don't expect him to stay calm. He's absolutely pissed off at your parents for what they did to you

Saki: I have no idea man. She might get either the pig or the fox or the bee. The bee is most likely rn

Shiho: The turtle!! Pretty easy choice but I was also considering the ox at one point. Or the bunny but shh

Honami: undecided but probably the dog or the pig. She's fighting emu for it though

Mafuyu: black cat. She would have gotten the dragon but. I wanted her to be the Adrien of this au

Mizuki: the fox but I REALLY need to come up with a more unique design

Kanade: the peacock. No further elaboration

Ena: the goat. Come on it was made for her

Tsukasa: currently fighting rui for the horse. I'm not sure who I want to give it to.... I have a design for tsukasa but rui would do really well with it. He might get the dragon or the rooster

Rui: probably gonna get the horse....

Nene: the snake because she's not a fighter AND I have an idea for her design

Haruka: the dragon probably. She, other than shizuku and mafuyu is a "perfect" girlie, so she's the second choice for the dragon. Maybe. OOO or the bunny
