kento is a punctual man. he is never ever late. he hates procrastinating, he get everything done as fast as possible.

for every birthday in the 3 years while you were together, his presents always came on time. he intricately prepares months beforehand, every single gift perfectly encapsulating your wants.

in your first year, you were in shock. he showed up at your doorstep, ringing the bell exactly at 00:00. as you opened the door half asleep, you were fully awakened with kento's presence. there he was, in front of your doorstep with flowers, your favourite cake flavour and a box full of gifts, he even wore those paper party hats with a party blower in his mouth.

"hewphy bwithdey y/n *priutt*," the party blower in his mouth prohibiting him from speaking properly, his compromise was to spit the paper blower out, earning a giggle from you. on your second year, kento was staying at your place. you didn't expect anything the night before, as he had already sent you an invitation to your birthday dinner at some fancy restaurant. but, you were so wrong. as the clock striked 00.00, you were sitting on the sofa watching a movie while kento was in the toilet, or so you thought. he came out of your hallway with another cake, a money bouquet and another box of gifts.

"happiest happy birthday y/n," he learnt from last year, no party blower, but the same paper hat was still on his head, as crooked as ever, it looked like he was in a rush. he walked over to the sofa, setting down the box filled with your presents. "make a wish."

you closed your eyes once more, i wish that kento and me would last forever. once again, you opened your eyes and blew out the candles. "what's your wish this year?" kento asked once more. "again, i won't tell you or it won't come true!" you fixed his crooked party hat, giving him a kiss. "thank you ken, you are truly the best boyfriend anyone could ever hope for."

on the third year, you had lived in the same apartment. deciding to take the next step in your relationship, you knew he was the one. over the following months, you've tried spying on kento, trying to see what surprise he had for you. but, you always failed, he would always catch you in the act.

this year was the same as any year. as the clock struck 00:00, a doorbell rang. kento was asleep on the couch, so you had gotten up to answer the door. as you answered the door, there was nobody. you looked left and right but there was nothing. you were about to close the door, but then you saw the gift on your doorstep. another box of gifts with flowers on the side. as you turned around to wake up kento, he was already behind you with a cake. "happiest happy birthday y/n," a content smile was present on kento's face. he pulled it off once more, surprising you again. "make a wish."

"so curious ken," you pulled him down to give him a kiss on his cheek. but when you were finished, your grip did not falter, instead your head slowly moved to land near his ear. "i wished that you and me would last forever," you whispered in his ear earning a chuckle from the man. "i hope the wish comes true y/n."

on the fourth year, you had laid on your empty couch. as the clock striked 00:00, the doorbell rang once more. as you opened the door, you saw a box full of gifts and a bouquet with a postcard and a box. as you took the postcard and the box in your hands, it was kento's handwriting. "i promise to stay by your side forever," you opened the box and there it was. the prettiest ring you had ever seen, it was all your pinterest boards combined into one masterpiece. you turned around to thank kento, but he was not there.

he wasn't there. he wasn't in your living room, neither your kitchen, nor your bedroom, he wasn't in your shared apartment. no, he's not in your world anymore.

your hands trembled as the box dropped to the floor, salty tears escaped your eyes. kento is gone, he has been gone for the past 3 months. all these presents you've received, but the most important one was gone, kento.

authors note: i just had to write something cute for his birthday! i hope he had an amazing birthday today. can’t believe leehan’s 20 like god damn 😭 though it’s really short!! i’m sorry but i just wanted to write something small.

everything looked prefect. all of the decorations set how he wanted, the cake was absolutely delicious. now all m/n had to do was wait. today was busy. not only was it hectic but he didn’t have the time to tell his own boyfriend ‘happy birthday.’ therefore, it was only appropriate to surprise him. the shared apartment was fulled with decoration. m/n was satisfied. he got time out of his busy schedule and he was ready to spend it with his lover.

right on time, the locks began to unlock. m/n felt his heart pound in his chest while he fiddled with the pink party blower between his fingers. as soon as the door opened, he brought it to his lips, blowing on it. leehan flinched slightly at the sound, bringing his attention to his significant other. a burst of laughter left his lips. “happy birthday, baby!” m/n shouted with excitement, watching as the other’s laughter slowed. “you startled me, angel.” he said, closing the door as he made his way over to his loved one. “this is so sweet baby, thank you.” he pecked m/n’s cheek, wrapping an arm around his waist.

m/n smiled, instinctively moving his arms to rest on his shoulders. “i know we’ve been busy. I thought i would surprise you tonight. we haven’t got to see each other and hang out as often.” he said, kissing the tip of his nose. “i got you a few presents as well.” leehan flashed a loving smile. “did you now? you really didn’t have to, angel.” the other pulled away, taking a seat on the couch. “oh nonsense! come on, take a seat next to me.” m/n leaned down, getting out three bags.

leehan took a seat, looking down at the bags. he watched as the other placed them into his lap. “let’s see what my baby got me, hm? you spoil me enough.” he let out a soft chuckle while m/n smiled. leehan set the other two down, taking out what was inside the one in front of him.

“aw baby, this is so pretty!” he took out a hoodie. he began to unfold it to see what was on the front. it had a picture of the two. it was from one of their recent date nights. his smile widened. “angel, this is adorable. thank you so much.”

the night continued. his other two gifts were more clothes and a promise ring, m/n sang his birthday song with a beautiful cake, and they ate a wonderful dinner. leehan enjoyed it. there was nothing else he’d rather do. as soon as they finished eating, leehan let out a relaxed sigh. “baby, this was the best thing anyone could’ve done for me. thank you.” he leaned over, pecking his lips and taking his hand into his own. “you truly are an angel.”

m/n giggled. “well, i’m glad you enjoyed your day. though, i still have one more gift.” he pulled away, standing up from the chair. leehan watched, curiosity creeping onto his face. “meet me in the bedroom?” m/n looked back at him before winking playfully. the other let out a hearty laugh, standing from his own seat. “you’re such a tease, m/n.”

They split a basket of wings, because Church Lady’s got the confidence of a woman who knows where the shallow graves are located, and Sassy Park Ranger likes a woman who can suck a bone or two in front of him while keeping eye contact.

Yeah. If your woman can handle extra hot sauce on the first date you better get a ring ordered ASAP. 

Anywho, he’s so turned on by her eating these wings that he asks her to lick the sauce off his beard. She says treasure hunter’s don’t do that. He says the greatest treasure is found in the most unlikely of places.

So she begins to mouth-ram him and lick all the buffalo sauce off of that face fur. He runs his hands through her hair to see if there’s any weapons in there, because Sassy Park Ranger learned a thing or two in the field and Church Lady’s got dat WHO DAT energy.

The Gift (5b of 15) (Witch Steve AU)

Last chapter, Steve and Eddie came to an understanding and formed a deeper start to their friendship. This chapter, Eddie just wants to convince Steve about which film to watch on movie night (Part A) and Robin wants to mock Steve about the two of them flirting while his connection to the ethereal makes itself known (Part B).

Chapter 5(b) You're Doing That on Purpose

"...All right, then. Since your band of dogs are happy, let’s do the hobos.” He feels a flash of triumph as he hears Eddie’s bark of laughter at Steve continuing the bit. “Movie night is at my place, Friday.”

“Fantastic my lovely, dear liege,” Eddie affects a bow. “I’ll shall bring the brews. My Madam Buckley, farewell.” She sticks her middle finger up at his blown kiss. Eddie leaves, chuckling under his breath, Family Video's door bell ringing after him.

Steve pushes the now empty trolley back to the counter, looking up to see Robin’s face doing that thing. The Bangles tape smoothly segues into a mix of acoustic and electronic guitars, Susanna Hoff sings of longing to give her partner what they want, if only they knew what they needed. Steve ignores Robin to bob his head along to the catchy tune.

Under the pressure of her gaze, he eventually says, “I don’t know what you mean.”

She stares harder at him, even more amused.

Steve crosses his arms, “It’s just nice having a friend that’s not obsessed with only black and white films.”

She sighs, “You troglodyte.”

“Dyke.”

“Ken doll.”

“Trumpet… blower. Fuck.”

Robin sounds out a sad trumpet noise of failure accompanied by what he’s sure are the correct finger movements.

“Wait, something about fingering?”

“Nope, you lose. Hand it over.”

Steve reaches over to the candy display and plucks out a packet of Junior Mints that he’ll pay for later. Throws it gently to Robin because, while the girl can kick a soccer ball with a mean right foot, she can’t catch to save her life.

Case in point, he thinks fondly, watching her fumble, but not drop, the box.

“But,” she says around a mouthful of mint and chocolate, “you’re flirting with him.”

“I am not,” Steve protests.

“Okay, he’s flirting with you.”

“He is not,” Steve says even more firmly.

“Oh, Steve,” she simpers in a high voice that sounds nothing like a man, let alone Eddie. Flips her dark blonde hair back as if it’s longer, “You just have to come and sit with me in a dark room and watch my favourite movie. And you’re so smart and pretty, Steve.”

“Eddie never said I’m pretty.” Steve pushes the new releases onto the trolley, even though there are only four of them.

“Are you pouting?” Robin laughs.

“I’m not,” he is not. “And it’s not just me, you’ll be there too. That isn’t exactly a hot and heavy scenario, Robin.” Steve very calmly points out, moving towards the New Release section with his back facing her.

“Oh, I’m not going to be there.”

“What?” Steve exclaims, swivelling to stare back at Robin, nerves inexplicably shooting through his fingers nearly causing him to drop Stand by Me.

“I’ve got a date with Vickie.”

“What?” He repeats in an entirely different tone, throwing the case aside with a clatter to rush back to the counter.

Robin leans over, her face close to Steve’s. “I did it!” She whirls in place, “And she said, get this – I’d love to.”

“Hell yeah, of course, she’d love to. What’d I say–”

“53 minutes and 5 seconds,” they both chorus.

Robin’s blue eyes shine. “She didn’t say much about the ex, but she was talking about how she’s looking for something different. And she looks at me, right.” Steve nods, engrossed. “I know I’m not the best with social cues, but she stops suddenly and says in this tone, ‘really different.’” Robin shivers, “her voice was so sexy.”

“And then,” he urges.

“I said ‘I can be something really different.’”

“No!”

“Yes! It just came out.”

“Robin!” He shakes her by the shoulders, “You smooth mother, you.”

Robin spits her hair out and grins, “So yeah, it’s just you and Munson on Friday.”

“Whatever,” he grins rolling his eyes. Robins’ way off, even though he’s proud of her.

Steve puts it all out of his mind, though he does make sure to clean the living room up a little. Just a bit of vacuuming and wiping down the tables. If he’s having people over, he should make sure the place is nice. And Eddie deserves nice.

He needs to order them some pizza on the day. Eddie likes mushrooms, he remembers from their last movie night with the others.

Thank Christ the kids aren’t coming, or he’d have to go through another slew of horror films. He loves Jack Nicolson, but the guy had thoroughly creeped him out, let alone that river of blood through a damned elevator. Who even thinks of something that terrible?

His mental grumbling continues as he gets ready for bed, pulling back the sheets and resting his head against the cool, navy pillow. He has enough nightmares from the Upside Down, he drowsily thinks.

Although, the benefit of Knowing that Vecna is done is that he’s been able to fall asleep a lot easier than he used to. He doesn’t even need his nail bat under the bed anymore, it’s safely stored in the trunk of his bimmer instead.

As the wisps of sleep take hold an image starts to play under his closed eyelids. Strange, Steve thinks distractedly, why would he dream of Eddie’s Uncle Wayne?

Wayne, who he'd briefly encountered at the hospital, appears on a sagging brown couch. He rolls a coffee mug between his palms, a brightly coloured yellow heart is printed on the porcelain while a curl of steam winds above it. Wayne’s brows furrow in concern as he says something that Steve can’t hear. The dream is silent, a detail that doesn’t strike him as odd in his half-awake state.

The older man looks up and the perspective shifts to a boarded-over ceiling in the corner of the room, revealing that this is Eddie’s trailer. Plywood is neatly nailed against the light apricot surface, a protective measure against the hole open to the elements but, thankfully, no longer connected to the Upside Down. Steve begins to realise, with growing unease, that he isn’t merely dreaming but witnessing an ongoing event.

Wayne’s arms fold around him and suddenly Steve’s head turns to the side, his vision obscured by long, loose curls that bear a striking resemblance to Eddie’s dark hair. Panic surges through Steve, who bolts upright in bed, eyes flying open. But the vision persists, overlaying what he can see of his bedroom, the middle between left and right muddled by the combination of the two sights.

This isn’t just a dream, he’s seeing through Eddie’s sight in real-time, a connection forged by the hazel eye that had given back Eddie his life.

Steve’s mind races with confusion. Is what is happening even possible? He pinches himself, hoping to jolt himself out of this bizarre experience. The image wavers but persists. He pinches himself again, hissing in pain, and the vision flickers once more.

Okay, something physical, maybe a little painful. Something to get him out of his head.

Steve laces on his sneakers, not bothering to pull on a jacket over the shorts and shirt he’d worn to bed and throws himself out of the house, only stopping to grab his keys. Determinedly he starts to run, slapping the soles of his shoes against the familiar paved path and pushing his mind to break this strange connection.

The heat of the summer night presses down on Steve, the air like soup in his lungs, and the burning amber of the street lights pass by in one long blur. At first, the combination of his vision creates a small sense of vertigo, but Steve persists.

And miraculously, it works. Wayne’s sad smile is the last image he sees before the image wavers and blinks out. Steve concentrates on the rhythm of his breathing and working his burning muscles, grounding himself in the present, and following the easy asphalt surface back to his home.

As he reaches the front yard, his pace slowing and adrenaline ebbing, Steve can’t ignore the weight of what just happened. He forces his breathing to calm while looking up at the silver of the round moon in the clear night sky, the pearly orb a mirror reflection of his left eye.

Steve can feel that this vision is connected to the ethereal, not a part of the earth or the sky. It is something inherently linked to his soul and body. Yet, as he absently reflects on the use of a full moon for rituals of transformation, a chilling realisation continues to creep over him: he has no idea how this happened or what it may mean.

I had the worst time settling down last night. I don't know why it was so difficult, but I suppose I can guess a few things since I did the equivalent of kicking up magical dirt in my home. I made an anklet last night to help sleep and aid other magic stuff. I think I'll keep using it.

Otherwise, I did have a Strider dream even if he had to help me fall asleep in my restless state. The dream itself is hard to fully recall but I will try.

The beginning is difficult. It gets hard to grasp. But somewhere along the lines I ended up at my default dreamscape of my relative's home. Strider was there and he was watching over this group of kids. I went up to him and told "hey if you needed help, you coulda woke me up. You don't need to guard me by always letting me rest while you do everything." He let out a sigh. I think the dream did an internal mirroring thing it shouldn't have because it acted too much like an artifcially generated image, unstable and too many items in it. We picked up bubble blowers before some ghastly winds came.

The part didn't last long. I ended up with my mom at this antique fair. Something that was in town. One of the shops had these.. paintings. The best I can say is they were in Vetyr's style, but of figures from my othercrowd. I wanted a 100 dollar tapestry of a pink hand touching a purple one (they were almost palm to palm) with a purple planet with a ring disc around it. It had a quote on it that said, "Wherever you are, we're connected." I didn't think much of it as I looked at other items. Small figurines, pins, and trinket trays.

The store on the right side of the building had music going on. It was more antiques. But the song was "Intertwined" by Steam Powered Giraffe. I thought it was odd because I didn't expect to hear that song playing there. I recognized the bass of Zer0 and went "ohh this was the latest album" (latest being relative here). They weren't there as I peeked in. I ended up leaving with my mom and woke.

AEW Dynamite 6/22/22

Danielson not being cleared to wrestle at Forbidden Door is devastating. I have waited so long for Danielson vs. ZSJ. When Zack's music hit and he walked into that arena, my heart skipped a beat. Just seeing him and Danielson in the same building makes me go insane.

The way I couldn't give a shit about Ospreay. Give me a break.

Christian ripping off MJF with the "tweeting like your opinion matters" in his promo. Good heel promo though. "Your father is dead and it's good because he would be embarrassed to see you now." Damn lol.

Really liked Penta vs. Black. Beautiful lung blower by Penta, and a package piledriver from the second rope, my god!! Black can't kick out, but is close enough to get his foot on the bottom rope. Black hits his back heel kick for the three count. 🙄 Penta should've won this and gone on to the four-way for the All-Atlantic Championship. BTW, Excalibur referring Penta's pumphandle half-nelson driver attempt as Made in Japan... good shit!!!

Another boring segment with Adam Page in the ring and Adam Cole on commentary. Silas Young is fine here in his AEW debut against Page. Cole gets on the mic after the match, but to the relief of everyone with a brain, Jay White comes out to interrupt. Jay says neither Cole nor Page can challenge for his title at Forbidden Door. While White beats up Page in the ring, Cole grabs the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship and considers hitting Jay over the head with it. Just the sight of Cole with that title in his hands makes me want to barf. OKADA'S MUSIC HITS AND I FREAK OUT!!!! He comes to Page's aid against White and Cole. This feels way beneath Okada, but his appearance here is a Moment nonetheless.

Athena and Statlander making fun of Jade is gold lmaoooo.

Let's play a game called How Can We Waste Tanahashi's Time. Main event is Tanahashi and Moxley vs. Jericho and (inexplicably) Lance Archer. Tanahashi gets the pinfall over Archer, which, if this had to be done, was the best way to do it. Whatever. JAS and BCC/Kingston brawl after the match. Suzuki shows up to aid JAS with that sadistic smile on his face, which is the only thing that makes this worth seeing at all.

Carrie- female Flareon, quiet, professional glass blower, sells her stuff in the hotel gift shop (when I created this, she LOVED MLP- the one with Twilight Sparkle!), NEVER feed her chocolate, as she'll bounce off the walls- literally!- Sparx will do it just for fun/to mess with his sister! 😈

Destiny- female Espeon, nerd/scientist with a temper- insult something she loves and incur her wrath! 👹

Flurry- male Glaceon, quiet librarian, introvert, runs the hotel library

Napalm- male Leafeon, quiet, respectful Doctor who specializes in aromatherapy, has an area in the hotel where he sees clients, and sells healing items- once had a trainer before I decided my OC's were caught- respectfully- like James, by mun- all in Luxury balls are they're my favorite.
