Had a fever dream last night that I thought was wildly entertaining. I can not for the life of me explain why I was so invested in it, but it was one of those dreams that I remember a lot of details of because it happened right before I woke up in the morning.
So, in the dream, it starts on a beach, yeah? Some big ass Pokéball has fallen from the sky. And I do mean BIGASS. You know that Basketball 2 Tumblr post?
It was like that but a bit bigger. So the military shows up with a few tanks and a bulldozer because this big thing fell from the sky onto a beach so OBVIOUSLY it must be a space craft or something and it needs to be moved. For tourism reasons.
Somebody objects to this because what if moving the big round space thing does something dangerous? And the general just laughs at him and the soldiers all point and laugh like they're characters in a freaking preschoolers show.
The general says, and I quote "What, it's not like it's going to unleash some giant terrifying monster!"
The bulldozer rolls the Pokéball over onto it's button and unleashes some giant terrifying monster.
It's a Flareon. A 60 foot tall Kaiju Flareon because it came out of a huge Pokéball. I believe my brain picked Flareon because I found my Comfy Friends plushie to hug yesterday because I'm currently going through a double whammy of a migraine and a cold.
Apparently nobody in this world knows what a Pokémon is so the army screams like little girls and opens fire. The Flareon gets really sad and scared because miscellaneous missiles and stuff being hurled at you hurts a lot so it runs off into the city and the army's like FUCK FUCK FUCK
Cue your average Kaiju movie scene, people running and screaming etc etc etc. Except Kaiju Flareon isn't malicious, it's just looking around at everything like :OOOO and :3. A dog starts barking at it and the Flareon mistakes this for play time and starts wagging it's tail and going "Arf arf arf :3" too, which scares the dog off and makes Flareon sad again.
Now there's a crowd of people standing around because the giant monster just exhibited suspiciously dog like behaviour and so far hasn't tried to hurt or eat anyone???? The only real damage so far is a couple of cars because it used them as chew toys and spat them out because they got oil in its mouth.
Flareon notices this crowd of people and is very excited because it reeeeeeally wants belly rubs. So it rolls onto it's back with it's legs dangling in the air, expecting belly rubs.
Nobody wants to go anywhere near it and Flareon gets ABSOLUTELY HEARTBROKEN, like, it specifically asked for belly rubs, why are none of these tiny Trainers giving it belly rubs??? 🥺 Did it do something bad????? 🥺🥺 Is she a bad Pokémon?????? 🥺🥺🥺🥺
I drew a diagram of this part because I just need to convey how absolutely sad this Flareon looked.
So one Brave or Stupid™ guy breaks out of the crowd like "I want to pet the giant monster" and people start trying to hold him back like NO DON'T PET THE GIANT MONSTER and the guy's like
So he stacks a bunch of random objects to make a staircase ala Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom to get up onto the Flareon and gives her the belly rubs. Flareon flips over onto her belly and accidentally squishes the dude but he is miraculously unharmed, and the entire crowd is like "Hey, this monster is basically a giant puppy!" and gives Flareon LOTS of head pats and now everybody is best friends. The military shows up again and people start yelling at them and calling them assholes for trying to hurt the big Flareon and so the military just... Goes home I guess???
So basically the whole Kaiju situation is resolved because the Public™ went "Big doggy :)" and basically adopted the Flareon as a city mascot and named it Big Floof. There's basically a montage of antics like Big Floof chasing a giant beach ball around at the seaside, getting escorted places by fire trucks, getting a huge dog bowl custom made for it etc etc etc
Then a fucking KAIJU SKARMORY maybe four times the Kaiju Flareon's size shows up out of the blue, and I anticipated a big battle because clearly Flareon has a type advantage and would want to defend its new home but my brain went "Nah".
What happened was that the military showed up again and the general yelled at the Kaiju Skarmory on a megaphone like "I'M CALLING YOUR MOTHER!" and unfortunately that's when I woke up and I was annoyed at that because I really want to find out how that would have went.
Who is this Skarmory's mother? Why would that threat work on a rampaging Kaiju? Would an even bigger Kaiju Skarmory have shown up like, idk, Cloverfield? I have so many questions.
Anyway I would have wanted to give the big fluffy doggy head pats as well
#pokémon#pokemon#melon's ramblings#flareon#eeveelutions#eeveelution#pokémon art#pokemon art#Excuse the shitty diagram I just REALLY wanted to draw the Flareon

man that got me thinking about the catholic school days… like transferring from public school was such a comedic experience i look back on it now and have to laugh
some people treated me like a poor unfortunate soul and asked me questions about my experience like i just walked into civilization from a jungle (“did people… bully you?” cue me: “…bullying exists everywhere?”)
i was also an Anomaly because when i took the entrance test i pretty much aced the math section and was placed into advanced math straightaway which hadn’t been seen from a transfer student before, which i at the time (forgetting i was literally in math olympiad and advanced math already) thought was much less of a big deal than they were making. (“they were impressed i could calculate the area of a trapezoid,” i complained to my mother after they informed me of my placement. “it was easy. they literally gave me the formula.”)
on my very first day there was held a pep rally for the middle school (this was a preschool through 8th grade school) and one of the “games” was to have a student from each year tell the whole middle school about something they did that summer. i don’t know who came up with that or who even thought that would be a suitable game to play for 11-13 year olds. anyway nobody was volunteering, the usual Kids Who Did Public Speaking didn’t want to do it, so i volunteered myself and delivered an impromptu stand-up set about my priest uncle coming to visit. i won.
the son of my favorite english teacher (who by the way. absolutely loved me from the moment i did that stand-up set on the first day. pretty much all my english teachers there simply loved me i have no clue why) straight up said to my face as we walked out of science class “you’re really smart, for a public school kid” and i was SO offended
i befriended most if not all the sisters on campus and spent time chatting with the one in the library who was from the democratic republic of the congo and spoke french swahili and english. or working the snack bar with another down near the playground who let me stack the pudding cups in the fridge. even the one running the cafeteria, who everyone said was mean, was actually really friendly if you were polite to her and were actually interested in her well-being. my mom and i even ended up being friends with the really quiet one who guarded the gate in the mornings
so much of junior high was me doing whatever the fuck i wanted honestly. i snuck broadway references into things. i think once i even used a matilda the musical song in a school project. i danced with a girl at the last formal social and nobody batted an eye.
we had our inaugural shakespeare performances outdoors where we did selected scenes from plays and i got lady macbeth hyping macbeth up to frame the guards for murdering the king (bc the guy teaching it was like this is the most challenging scene and i was like. bet). one of my friends made fake blood from a chocolate base (he was SO good at practical effects my god) and i was dying to taste it bc he said it was edible so we took our bows when the scene was over and i was still on stage in costume when i stuck a blood-covered finger in my mouth. cue HORRIFIED gasps from the audience. one of my classmate’s little sister was so terrified she would not speak to me for months.
we did eighth grade superlatives and there were fewer categories than students (but there were few students anyway so everyone got a superlative) and even though there were multiple people per superlative, i was the only one who was a “Responsible Individual”. which was hilarious
also i went from being the Poor Little Public School Kid to like. by the advisor’s words, one of the best school presidents,” so i can really say i peaked in junior high
all this was what put me on the radar of the mother who, four years later, expressed that she wanted me to follow her son to [UNNAMED IVY LEAGUE SCHOOL]. which is the funniest bit of all
however i will say that talking to people from that era, they’re a little too quick to pin down our current achievements on the fact we went to catholic school, which is annoying. was talking to someone who was saying “it’s all because of the foundation catholic school gave you” conveniently forgetting i went to public school for FAR longer than i went to private school. it makes me wonder that, if i had been slightly less achieving now than i am, would they be adamant about my “catholic school foundations”? but that’s just speculation. i personally just had a fun time and i really enjoyed myself lol

@fatalled better not notice the property damage.
psalms chapter one hundred and sixteen, verse eleven: all men are liars. just as the variegated blood streaks on saint’s browser history have proven with their inability to agree on the definition of a blog or helicopter parenting or how many hot glue cobwebs is too many hot glue cobwebs for a million square foot property, america’s new and improved halloween was conjured by lies, conjectured by corrupted liturgy. that is not saint talking, believe it or not. with the tough crowd cerberus has summoned from preschools and the pits of hell, anything saint says will be dismissed alongside the droning of walmart soul cakes and glow-in-the-dark skeletons, and the only things their audience will believe with his contributions to the show are that he’s boring, worthless, et cetera. which he is, believe it or not, but any sensible person would reckon that tossing up carcinogen-coloured candy and insults to his very being would be too much. not so. not with children who are inherently too much, their glittery baubles metastizing across his own costume, their demanding babbling mudding his mental faculties until he has played trendy pop song by young female artist on his stupid fanny pack xylophone aleph null times.
saint stays near the back, both to survey and circumvent the children, the conversations they are shoving into superhero extraordinaire’s smug, well-sculpted face. they are not interested in his itinerary of information, and they have taken, on average, six hundred and eight newtons of force to keep from straying from the itinerary. he accepts the spare toothbrushes from little miss identity crisis with a smile, attempts to talk about how bow strings are affected by hooke’s law when bilbone hooligannins cuts in with more gaslighting. eventually, he shuts up. he chews on the peanut shells from the bottom of his jack o’lantern and shuts up.
saint fidgets with his fluffy mini skirt. he traded out his civilian uniform for a costume meant to match with his roommate/sugar embossed carbuncle: thing 1 and thing 2. now he is a lonely thing 2 damned to wander the alleys of the big apple for eternity, half-done tank top representing how his heart has been cleaved in halves and crimson mesh leggings symbolising the bloodshed of his wasted hotness. think of the children, his mother would cry out. the children do not think of him. he’s pretty sure they don’t even know he’s an agent. he’s psychologist fodder, horror movie inspiration, the imaginary friend with a concerning grip on developments in national tax legislation. he should have gone as loveshot. at least he’d have an excuse to bear arms.
saint is rewriting his last will and testament in his notes app when mercy senyoyi remembers. through sheer will and morally ambiguous usage of their parents’ overdue pension, she has dressed up as a vending machine. oh, she’ll tell anyone with a hole in their head to hear it that she’s some level i agent, oscillating between the capable women and men who have stunted saint’s career, but he doesn’t believe for a second that any of their custom uniforms include the half-cut carcasses of soda cans galore, geometrically arranged onto her giant grey cardboard box of a top. it would be impressive if its mere actuality was not actively setting saint decades back in therapy. where saint has silenced himself, mercy has appointed herself leader, rotten-toothed lord of the flies, heckling the kids in the front and their questions–sour grapes make the best wine, their father once said–and bothering the man in the back with her questions. very loudly.
“dude, where the fuck are the hot agents?”
he shushes her. also very loudly. “do not dude or fuck me, young lady.” her (pierced? since when was that legal? better question, knowing mercy and the havoc she has wreaked on the american economy: since when was she proficient enough at lockpicking and makeup to have avoided public crucifixion for that look?) eyebrow rises past the stratosphere. “you know what i meant. play nice and maybe you’ll get to expose an affair or two.”
she huffs. crosses her arms. juts her candy-pink bottom lip out. he’s almost too relieved to see that it isn’t pierced. it’s a play for pity, he reminds himself. one she invariably must lose. this is what she gets for skipping family monopoly night. “you look stupid.”
he waves her off. rushes towards his partner as they approach the next house. “you are stupid.”
“this is why i have lucidity posters in my room!”
irrational angst. truly channeling her favourite cerberus agents.
he reaches earshot with loveshot just as the group (sans his sister, who is taking selfies faster than the speed of light as she pretends to crush some decomposing pigeon with her flimsy pepsi can). “i’m so sorry about her. she just followed us back from the kennel and my mum couldn’t say no to all that whining,” saint says at breakneck speed, eyes fixed on the pavement. there are too many decorations. he does not need another reason for employers to think of him as a walking lawsuit.
“of course they would notice. children notice everything but how revolting they act, and you know what their parents would do with a single well-timed tear,” he replies. “you promised the boss. besides, my presence means the parameters of the mission are simple. knock on doors, avoid murderers, keep them entertained. you’re wonderful with them, i must say. and they do wonders for one’s holiday spirit. maybe if you suggest something like a race to see how fast they can go through the houses and promise a power demonstration to the winner–”
he is distracted by the doorbell ringing. out of terror he stumbles into a cardboard coffin, which crumbles under his weight combined with that of the compost bin that has been knocked over by either his powers or a god he does not believe in. all men are liars. saint is no exception. he scrambles to kick the wormy cornucopia under a pile of leaves and telekinetically strongarm the coffin back into architectural stability. when everything fails, he puts his hand on his hip and turns his smile into a grin. neither expression has any chance of looking natural on him.
“are you a scale factor, agent? because you enlarge… my… shape.”
the door swings open.
「 KYUNGSEOK — & saint. ( @agentbilliard ) 」 CLOSED HALLOWEEN STARTER. LOCATION: TRICK 'R' TREAT ROUTE.
They are nearly done. & Kyungseok is more than ready to be done.
"Can we see your bow now?" One of the kids next to him asks, looking up through his skeletal mask. His face is already smudged from how many times he's been adjusting his mask. It's been one of the biggest questions of the night. Can I see your bow? Show us your bow! Can we see it now? Can I hold the bow? I wanna shoot it! The entire route had been filled with questions. They either wanted to see the bow or they wanted to know what the other heroes were doing.
Kyungseok flashes a smile, the one most practiced for Loveshot.
"That wasn't part of the deal, my friend. A hero keeps his word, right? Once we finish the route and head back, then I will show you the bow."
"But that'll take for-ehv-er!" The long words are enuciated with heavy, dragging steps. Their light-up sneakers engaging with every stomp.
"He said we have to wait! We gotta be patient!" The little girl holding onto his hand says, trying to have a conversation around Kyungseok. She was dressed nearly the same as Loveshot except someone had added a cape, sparkles, and a mask. ( Kyungseok did not wear mask. It interfered with his periphery. All of the costumes, however, added a mask. ) The pink and glittery bow in her other hand rattled against her plastic pumpkin. You're favorite color is pink and so is mine! had been the first thing she said to him after bolting across the lawn as soon as he showed up.
She is the daughter of some senator, some politician, someone up in those ranks with enough money to pull enough strings to get Cerberus to look. Heroes, they wanted. Heroes for their children. Nothing but the best for their kids. ( A smoke screen. Kyungseok knew he was there because they did not want to be there. Their children were an inconvenience that beheld them to tradition. My child has to go trick or treating but I won't be the one taking them. ) All ten of them, walking in a haphazard line up the street, were the children of the rich and famous.
Maybe that is what he lets her hold onto his hand. He had been the child of an important person and it nearly cost him his life.
"Patience is a virtue that every hero needs. It's just powers or being strong. The things you can't see are also important. Waiting is hard, I know, but the reward is often worth it."
"Waiting is boring!" Another kid pipes up. She is dressed in a mixture costumes that seem to range from Hades to Granite to Glimmer. "Show us now! Show us fire! Can you shoot fire? Or-or water too? Can, can Whirlpool also do ice if he ... if he can ... if he has cold water?"
"I don't know. I don't think so. I'll have to ask him the next time I can see him but Ymir can control ice while Whirlpool can control water. I can't do any of that."
"Why not?"
"Those aren't my powers. Those belong to my friends. I shoot arrows, that's all I do." Extremely well and extremely capably but a child is always going to want flash. The bow is his flash but he isn't going to summon it here. It required concentration and calm. He wouldn't be able to focus on the kids and that is where he needed to have his full attention.
"That's kinda lame. My dad—my dad said ... he said that heroes have to do what we ... we say. So, really, I'm your boss."
"Wow," he keeps the smile on. "A sudden change in management."
"Yeah, so, as your boss. You have to show me your bow."
"I will show you the bow after a few more houses, my friend. I promise. Boss."
The next house glitters with orange lights and flickering pumpkins. Ghosts hold their arms out, haunting the gravestones that litter the yard. Kyungseok squeezes the little girl's hand and sends her off with the group up the steps in order to ring the doorbell. He stands back with his ... partner. Agent Billiard. Telekinesis although the mission report log hadn't been too impressive. He hadn't seen him around, honestly. & if Kyungseok is being honest, he didn't take the time to learn the Level III agents. They were ... well, to put it bluntly, beneath him.
"I am ... ready to leave. Do you think they would notice if we cut it a few houses short?"

A selection of our favorite holiday books | Kiddie Academy of Stafford
A selection of our favorite holiday books
Spending quality family time during the holidays is a gift in itself. You can make it even more special by taking some time out to read with your children. There is no shortage of holiday books to choose from. We've asked our Kiddie Academy family for some recommendations on their favorite holiday books so we can share them with you. Some are familiar, some are new to you and all are wonderful.
During the holidays, this is one of my favorite books to share with preschools hiring near me and pre-kindergarteners. Whenever I read this book, the kids engage in conversation because they ask questions about the story and Curious to know more about
"The protagonist of the story describes in detail how she celebrates the two holidays. She gives examples such as decorating her tree for Christmas, lighting candles for Hanukkah and the various foods that her family prepares for both holidays. Is.
Additionally, the book offers teachers opportunities to enhance learning in small groups. Open preschool near me, One activity that can be done is making latex. They can also work together to decorate the Christmas tree and sing Hanukkah or Christmas carols. Are
"Children need to be introduced to different holidays so that they can begin to appreciate the customs of other cultures."
"I love this book because it takes me on a holiday trip from a children's perspective. The places, scents and sounds we encounter express the spirit of the season in just a few words - and I love inviting young children to repeat these words to me, and they do - with great enthusiasm!
"As this simple story progresses, it tells us how the spirit of the weather lives in each of us, whether we help the homeless, hang out on the ice or sing holiday songs. The story is simple for 2 year olds, but meaningful for some older children.
JR: "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" is my favorite holiday book because I remember my mother reading it as a child and then I read it to my children. I remember from a young age wondering who could make any grunch a kindness and a holiday spirit.
KR: "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" is one of my all time favorites. I love the Christmas feeling it gives me, but isn't it amazing that every time we read this story it's the first time? I like poetry that comes out of your mouth very easily when you read it and it takes me back to my kindergarten classroom whenever I read this book.
SS: "My absolute favorite holiday / season book" is Polar Express, written by Chris Van Aalsberg. This is really my favorite book because of the format. The sense of imagination in the book is incredible. The pictures tell the story and it makes you feel alive with the book. Every time you read a story, realistic reflection creates a warm atmosphere, which is why you want to read it again and again.
"The theme of the story is the magic of the Christmas season. It's about a young boy who questions his faith in Santa Claus and goes on an adventure in the evening and meets some extraordinary people. I won't end because it's magical and a real tear for adults like me. Enjoy
EW: "My favorite Christmas children's book is Polar Express. Since my oldest child was 1 year old, he loved trains." He also saw or heard the train.
My husband and I decided to make it a tradition for our two young sons, Connor (4) and Gavin (2), to read the book "The Polar Express" as well as ride the Magic Polar Express train every year. Looking forward to the special night when we get dressed in our pajamas and sip our hot cocoa on the train while we expect a long wait at the North Pole to see Santa and his reindeer. "It's worth seeing your boys' faces light up on this trip. When Santa gives us his silver sled to grab and move them, it reaffirms why we should all believe."
"As a child, my grandmother used to tell me this story about three families who lived in a big tree. Every year the animals would wait for Santa, but he would never come. The animals invite their favorite aunt, Mum, to Come and celebrate Christmas. However, once Auntie Mum arrives and shows the animals the Christmas spirit and how to decorate their big tree so that Santa knows they are there, the animals are very happy and meet Santa. Go
"I really like how this story brings animals together to help celebrate the season. As a little girl, I was always looking forward to reading this story and looking at the pictures of animals growing on their big trees. How is it decorated? "
"I first read this book 15 years ago while teaching kindergarten. It's a great story that fascinates children of all ages. Pictures are my favorite part of the book. Every time you read a story you get different details. You can see, even the printed parables, which make it interesting to read again and again. Because the children I taught loved it, I started reading it to my children. Read the story over the holidays and it soon became a family favorite.
"My favorite holiday book is Snowman at Night," said Caroline Boehner. Liked the idea of being alive.
"Meet the Latkes", written by Alan Silberberg, cartoonist and former head writer of the famous Nickelodeon and Disney Channel shows. He tells Hanukkah's story in a way that will make even the youngest readers happy and amused.
"I liked the illustration and how the book introduced the various items related to quanza and their meanings (food, customs, clothing) in a language that was easy to understand. It provided an item for each letter of the alphabet. Shared, along with the pronunciation of many unfamiliar words.

han jisung + smut
☾
request; can i request jisung roommate au which they are both rival word count; 2.7k words warnings; enemies to lovers!au, roommates!au, orgasm denial, semi-public sex
Black Shirt
You drag your heavy suitcase throughout the corridors of your campus, a white sheet of paper with black scribbles made by your friend to guide you through the hostel dangling carelessly between your fingers. She had already found her room, which she shared with a guy; something absurd for your conservative mind.
No doubt, you had guy friends, but you never even thought of sharing a room with the opposite sex, let alone actually doing it. Your new hostel had such a policy though, and they justified it by saying that it would ‘help them come out of their bubble’ and all that. You were anticipated to meet your new roommate, hoping you would click with him soon.
—
Yeah no, that wasn’t going to happen anytime soon.
Especially when your roommate was going to be Han Jisung; your rival since 8th grade. You didn’t just dislike him, no. You two loathed each other. All the synonyms of hatred combined still wouldn’t be near half of how much you despised him. And unluckily, he ended up being your roommate for the next two years.
There was no turning point in your lives where you just started hating each other. You two were overachievers. Anything one would do, the other did better. Not only did it lead to the growing feeling of distaste in you two, but it also did something good. Put you two into amazing universities in the country.
But the fact that you two ended up in the same room as well, your friends kinda knew what they were going to be facing soon.
The second you enter your room, the only thing leaves your mouth is, “What the fuck?!”
Jisung looks at you, snarling and clicking his tongue as he sees you at the doorstep with your red suitcase in hand. You knew where this was leading to, but you liked watching his face turn red in anger. You liked watching his face in general, though.
“You! You followed me here too!” he cried, pointing a finger at you as he stood up, slow steps walking towards you.
“Um, no? This shitty piece of paper brought me here? Also, why the hell would I ever follow a dickhead like you!”
“You know what? Just—”
“Hey there! What’s with all the yelling?” another voice calls from the kitchen. A taller male with blond curly hair walks up to you two, eyebrows quirked up in amusement. He eyes the two of you as he picks up his bowl of cereal, walking round the island top and leaning against it as he digs in his breakfast.
Jisung groans and storms to his room, leaving you and Chan alone.
“I’m sorry, he gets his period once in a while. Do you guys know each other..?” he laughs, swirling his spoon in the white bowl.
“Yeah, we went to the same school for a couple years and stuff—”
“Oh so you’re friends! Tha—”
“No. I hate him. He hates me. He sucks and we’ll hate each other until he dies.” you cut him off, dragging your stuff inside the living room. You hear a ‘You suck more!’ from Jisung’s room, and Chan chuckles. He helps you with your stuff and shows you your room, instructing you about the small details of the place.
—
It was time for dinner, and you heard your stomach growl. With a little help from Chan, you were able to almost set up your room by the end of the day, and now you were starving. The delicious aroma of flavor rolls by your nostrils, and you take in a long breath. You place the pile of books neatly where you wanted them, and trudged towards the kitchen, where something was cooked.
You saw Chan and another girl, mindlessly humming and wiggling their hips to some song playing softly, their backs facing you as they cooked pasta. You quietly walk forward, but somehow the girl hears your footsteps and turns around to acknowledge you.
“Hey! You must be Chan’s new roommate! Come, have a seat, dinner’s almost ready!” she squeaks happily, smiling as she returns back to cooking, the loving grin not leaving her lips.
You set up the table and sit down as the girl served the delicious food onto your plate. Chan sits next to you, and the girl sits closer to him.
“Oh, I forgot to introduce myself,” she giggles as you’re about to start eating.
“I’m—”
“Saerom! Hello~” Jisung exclaims as he trudges out of his room, making his way to the table. He glances at you and pokes his tongue out, but before you can retract, the girl, or Saerom, starts.
“So, I’m Saerom, and I’m Chan’s girlfriend! He told me about you earlier, I hope we can be good friends!” she speaks as you all start eating. You didn’t have heart eyes for Chan, but you didn’t expect him to have a girlfriend. But then on the other hand, he did have the looks and brains to have ten.
“Sure! The food’s great by the way,” you speak mouthful, devouring the best dinner you’ve had in weeks.
You and Jisung act like you don’t know each other, and you keep talking to Saerom and Chan about regular school stuff. You felt Jisung shaking his legs under the table, restraining everything in you to not yell at him to stop. Then again, he might as well be doing it to piss you off.
His leg hits yours— and to be very honest, your whole body was sore from all the work you had done today, and you were exhausted. Jisung’s kick pisses you off even more and you kick him back, trying to be as subtle as possible.
“Yah! Why’d you kick me!” he asks, eyebrows raised and fork shifting in his hands as if one wrong move and he would stab you.
“Excu— Me? Your dumbass purposely kicked me when I was clearly minding my own damn business,” you counter, pissed off at his audacity.
“I didn’t hit you, I hit the table leg!” he defends, and you scoff, amused if he was being serious or shocked if he was comparing your leg to the table’s.
“Hey hey, now, let’s have a nice dinner, yeah?” Chan muses, grinning as he sees the two of you fighting like preschoolers. You finish off your food, occasionally glaring at Jisung who does the same, and wash off your dishes.
“Thank you so much for today! The food really was delicious,” You compliment, and Saerom and Chan call out a ‘good night’ and ‘thank you!’ as you walk off to your room.
—
“Yes! Fuck yes!”
You couldn’t hold in your excitement as you jumped up and down on your bed, hands holding the paper Chan had given you. After weeks and weeks of assessments and projects, you were finally shortlisted into the University’s International Representatives team. It was a huge honor for you, and you couldn’t stop yourself from feeling all these emotions.
Chan has to hold you by your arms and pull you down when he starts hearing the weak bed squeak under you, afraid that the furniture might break under your actions.
“I’m so happy! Oh my God this has to be the best day of my life.”
“That’s great! Now y/n please go to bed it’s pretty late and you have the interview tomorrow,” Chan sighs, looking up at the clock.
He wishes you night before signing off for the day, heading to his room retiring for the night.
—
You admire yourself, twirling around in the red pencil skirt and black dress shirt you’d worn for today’s interview. You were totally going to ace this, and nothing could stop you. You hop on into Saerom’s car as she told you she could drop you off for your big day.
You walk inside the dimly lit restaurant, a fresh smell flowing through your lungs. You feel confidence rush through you once again and you smile, walking into the hall. The receptionist asks you if you needed a reservation or if you were here on invitation.
“Yeah actually, I’m here on invitation. I’m here for the interview for the University of Seoul.” you reply, tapping your heels on the marble tiles. She kindly directs you to a table not far away, and you thank her before walking towards them.
There was a female teacher you recognized from your lectures, and the other was a random man you’d never seen before. You smile and greet them, sitting in front of them.
“Good evening, y/n! How is your day going,” your teacher smiles, shuffling through some papers. You talk about some basic daily events, possibly to get you to be comfortable with them.
“So we’re waiting for another student, so when he arrives, we’ll— here he is! Welcome,”
You turn to look at who the student was and your jaw almost drops down. It was, of course, Han Jisung. Of course, he was here too, ready to ruin this for you as well. He looks at you with a blank stare, eyes immediately dropping down to your exposed thighs. You turn back around, mentally crying at what you thought was going to happen.
“Great! So we’ll start off with the interview now. We’ve seen your reports, and we’d like to hear from you, how would you tackle situations based on international conflicts...”
—
So far you've done pretty well. You couldn’t deny, Jisung was a good speaker as well; he almost impressed you with his answers. You noticed how his eyes close up to crescents when he would smile widely, the small grin everlasting on his face. His honey skin basked under the glow of the yellow lights paired up with the soft sunset glow from outside the restaurant.
His hand rests on your right thigh and you snap out of your daze, shifting your eyes back to the teachers assessing you. All your attention which was on them snaps when you feel the hand on your thigh rise higher and higher. You feel goosebumps rise on your skin where his fingers touched.
At this point, the two older professors at the other end of the table are busy discussing something among themselves, and you can’t really excuse yourself from this mishap. Jisung’s fingers rise higher and higher, and he briefly looks at you and you slowly nod, approving his actions. He gladly moves ahead, smirking as his fingers are dangerously close to where you wanted him the most.
He feels the lacey material of your panties on his fingers and decides to tease you, running his fingers up and down the damp fabric that stuck to your folds uncomfortably. You slowly grip his wrists, signalling him to work his way quickly without the teasing.
He smirks at your eagerness, pushing your panties aside and prodding his fingers at your hole, using your slick to coat his fingers. You sigh softly, clenching your fists under the table. He pushes his index finger inside, slowly thrusting in and out of your hole. You bite your lip to hold back any sounds as his finger curls inside you. He maintains his steady pace pumping his fingers, his ring touching your walls every now and then making your toes curl.
He adds in two more fingers at once and you almost yelp, stomach churning in pleasure. Your walls clench around his fingers and he continues his sinful actions underneath the table. He places his thumb over your clit, pressing down on the nub. You feel your high approaching, legs bouncing up and down as his fingers keep thrusting your leaking hole. You’re about to let go the knot, when—
“Thank you for spending your time with us, students. We’ll talk about this in the next few days. I’ll keep contact…” and the rest of the words spoken by your professor are a haze as frustration of your lost orgasm takes over. You force a smile, bowing and thanking the older for their time. Fixing your skirt, you and Jisung walk out of the restaurant. You rush ahead of him, and he follows close by. He opens the door of a cab, motioning you to sit inside before himself plopping in, directing the driver to take you to the dorms.
The ride back is extremely quiet, and all you think of is having sex with Jisung.
—
Luckily, Chan and Saerom were out for a study date, so you had the whole room to yourselves. Just as the door clicks open, Jisung pushes you inside along with him, locking it shut before pressing you up against the door.
“Fuck y/n, you look so hot in that dress,” he moans, grinding his hips onto yours. You turn your head back, moaning at the feeling of his lips latching onto your neck, his clothed member grinding against your wet heat.
“Plea— Please Jisung, just fuck me already,”
He unbuttons your dress shirt, tossing it onto the floor before pushing his lips against yours. You moan at the plush feeling of his lips on yours, teeth biting your bottom lip. He licks your lip and pulls away, breathing heavily. There’s a tug on your wrists, followed by Jisung pulling you to your room.
You quickly skim out of your pencil skirt, watching Jisung as he unbuttons his shirt. He walks towards you and you lie down on your bed as he crawls up to you. He leans down to kiss your shoulders and you feel his hard-on on your thigh. You arch your back as he goes lower and lower on your body, kissing and nipping at your skin.
He knows Chan won’t be out for long, and so doesn’t waste too much time foreplay-ing. He pulls down your panties, harshly rubbing his fingers on your cunt. You yelp as his nimble fingers spread open your folds. All you hear in the room is his breathing and your soft noises, paired with the soft wet noises his fingers make in your cunt.
He prods his fingers at your hole, circling at your folds. You whine at his tease, bucking your hips in his grasp. He chuckles breathily before pushing two fingers in at once, curling them upwards to hit the spots that had you moaning in no time. Innumerable curses and groans leave your lips as Jisung pumps his fingers in and out of you just like he had done in the restaurant.
His silver ring touches your walls and you shiver, your action not going unnoticed. He draws his fingers from your convulsing hole, bringing down the cold ring on your clit and pressing it gently. You whine at the sweet pleasure coursing through your veins due to the stimulation, your vision turning blurry from the tears in your eyes.
He licks his lips before removing his dick out of his boxers, pumping it a few times and rolling on a condom before pushing it into you. You grip the sheets tightly as he enters inside slowly, filling your walls deliciously. He wasn’t too big, but was of perfect girth and size to satisfy you.
He is balls deep in you, and he feels his head spin as your walls squeeze around him. He places his hands on either side of your head, making eye contact with you and kissing your jaw.
You feel him slowly pulling out with a whine, before slamming in gratingly. You scream as he sets a quick pace, thrusting in and out of your tight hole. You clench around his length and you both moan at the tight feeling in your abdomen. Your head spins as you reach your high, Jisung’s pace slowing down as well. His thrusts reach deeper in you, finger drawing rough circles on your clit.
You release around him, your warm orgasm coating his dick. You both moan at the sensation, Jisung following soon after. He comes hard, filling up the plastic. He stays that way for a moment, plopping himself on you.
You hear the front door unlock, Chan’s voice booming through the halls.
“I’m home!”
Fuck. Your black shirt was still out on the floor.

Finnpoe Modern AU- Single Dad!Poe- PART 2
Lmao so Part 2 was supposed to be focused on Finn and Poe’s relationship but that didn’t happen as planned so. yknow. Now there’s a Part 3 on the way where more things actually happen, Finnpoe-wise, and that should explain more about their relationship. It is also very possible that a Part 4 may happen, but all of this is for after finals end next week ANYWAY
Thank you again to Eliane, who had the original idea for this headcanon!
Part One l Part Two l Part Three
XXX
BB makes it through preschool and starts kindergarten the next year
He's nearly a year older than his classmates, but Poe is still terrified on the first day of school
He's less scared than the first first day, and now BB is comfortable enough to stick his tongue out at his dad when he catches Poe wiping tears out of the corner of his eye
But BB still allows a hug, long and tight, when it's time to say goodbye
He signs goodbye! with ease, and pride and bittersweet sorrow swell in Poe's chest
BB has a group of friends by the end of the week
BB has a lot to say, Poe hears from their parents, and Poe chuckles to himself at that
By now, Poe feels more secure in being a single parent, but he remembers Shara's fire and how that was balanced so readily but Kes's calm demeanor
It seems that BB is inheriting all of Poe's sass and spirit, totally untempered
(He doesn't mind in the slightest, though he fears the day BB realizes he can out-sarcasm his father)
Sometimes, BB complains that his Deaf friends can sign better than him, and Poe feels a pang of guilt. They've been learning together, and after a year, they've come a long way, but there are still hurdles
On top of his other classes, BB spends his afternoons in the special education classroom
They find a sense of community there; children and parents who have had similar experiences
It's easier then, better than the year before. The father and son have settled in somewhat, even though Poe dreads the end of the year- BB will switch buildings and teachers and everything will be new again
Despite the impending change, BB thrives. He can write a few shaky words and he's nearly entirely fluent in ASL by the time kindergarten ends
The summer flies by: BB is six already, losing teeth, joining the soccer team
He plays #8 on the team. He's fiercely into it, which isn't entirely helped by Poe screaming his support on the sidelines
Jess, Karé, and Snap all yell too; Kes is the only one who shows his enthusiasm at normal volumes, although Poe can never quite forget the game when BB got fouled and Kes sulked about it the entire night
They meet BB's new teachers in August, a couple of weeks before the start of school
Poe's prepared for this now. He knows what to advocate for, how to navigate the reactions to BB and the calm, placating smiles from people who look lost when they first meet his son
BB's teachers are kind, at the very least. Poe had been a public school kid, but with some financial help from Kes, he'd managed to get BB into a slightly more controlled environment- it's a private school, still a relatively big one, but Poe chose it for its positive reputation and special needs programs
His boss, Leia, had endorsed the decision- her twin brother worked in the district, and if nothing else, Poe trusts Leia’s judgment
But most of all, BB was happy there in both preschool and kindergarten, and that’s all that truly matters
They end up at the special education classroom last on the tour of the new building- Poe nods at a few familiar faces before an older-looking man introduces himself as Luke. He shakes Poe's hand firmly and signs hello back at BB, who's staring up at him, unabashed
I'm Luke, he signs, and doesn't even raise an eyebrow when BB tells him to call me BB
“I work with your sister, I think- Leia Organa,” Poe says because Luke seems all-too-familiar, and Luke nods quickly
“My little sister, yes. She’s mentioned you. She says she reminds you of her husband when he was younger.” Luke raises an eyebrow. “You’re not a troublemaker, are you?”
“No,” Poe says automatically, at the same time BB signs yes!
You’re a troublemaker, too, Poe reminds the boy, ruffling BB’s hair. His son snorts, shaking his head, and peers around Luke to see the rest of the room
“Leia likes troublemakers. She’s the best one of all,” Luke says matter-of-factly, then grins. "But- you'll want to meet the rest of our staff," Luke says, signing as he speaks and peering around the room
"There's Mr. C, and there's Finn. He's new this year, too"
Poe's stomach twists at the words- he's all for giving the benefit of the doubt, but he'd hoped for someone with a little more experience
That's his first impression of Finn- the second is that Finn is-
-well, Finn is hot. Nicely fitting jeans and a gratuitous v-neck, accompanied by a winning smile that flashes before the two men's eyes meet
Finn's eyes are warm and brown and it melts Poe on the spot
BB has already abandoned him, tearing across the room and offering his hand to Finn. Poe blinks, trying to get his thoughts in order, and introduces himself to Finn
The young man is right out of grad school (he came highly recommended, and they had to fight to get him, Luke chimes in, while Finn studies his feet), but he's always wanted to teach, even if he had a brief military stint that ended poorly
My abuela was Air Force, BB supplies
She must have been talented, Finn answers. I think I'd get scared all the way up there
I wouldn't! BB replies at lightning speed, and oh no, Finn's laugh is just as delightful as every other aspect of him
They talk for a few minutes more before Finn is stolen away by other parents and Poe decides to talk to other teachers
(I’ll be seeing you, Finn,” Poe says, and Finn just smiles back, but Poe can’t help but sneak glances at the other man, even with distance now between them
Finn catches him just once, and grins at Poe widely)
Poe doesn’t see BB’s teachers too often- there are stories from his son, occasional phone calls, and parent-teacher conferences, but he runs into Finn fairly often outside of BB-related happenings
The younger man has an apartment within a mile of Poe’s, and Luke and Leia seem somewhat determined to drag their protégés out once in a while
Dinners on a few occasions is one thing, but Poe also discovers that he and Finn frequent the same bars
(Frequent, Poe thinks, is a liberal term for a teacher and a single dad, but he does to find a free night once in a blue moon)
(It makes sense, Poe also realizes, that he would run into a man who wears sensible v-necks at the only gay bar in town)
Poe is nursing a whisky, scanning the room for anyone as tired and old as he is, when he spots Finn half hiding in a booth near the back of the room, a young brunette woman slumped next to him
They look slightly out of place, and Poe is debating if he should go say hi or not when the woman looks up at him, her gaze piercing. Poe looks away, the tips of his ears burning, but he can see her whispering to Finn out of the corner of his eye
Poe is staring determinedly at the melting ice in his drink when he hears slight scuffling behind him, then a voice says “Hi Poe, good to see you.”
Finn’s tone is somewhere between the one he uses on conference night and a clearly forced effort to sound casual, so Poe musters his best smile
“Hey Finn,” he says, friendly, then his mind goes blank
“I didn’t realize I would see you here,” Finn blurts, and his eyes go wide. His companion gives a huffy sigh before nudging Finn’s side with her elbow and retreating back to their booth
“I didn’t know you were- that you go to-” Poe is just as flustered, and neither he nor Finn can meet the other’s eyes. “-that you go to gay bars,” he finishes lamely
“I do,” Finn says, voice soft as he stares at the ground. “Well, not too often but Rey-” he jerks his head back to indicate the woman conspicuously watching them from her seat- “has been stressed lately and I wanted her to have a good night.”
Poe takes a sip of his drink. “She your girlfriend?”
There’s no hope of any sort of recovery now- Poe is vaguely tipsy, a lightweight after his son changed all his evening plans for the past two years, and Finn seems beyond flustered, but this conversation started badly, anyways
“She’s not my girlfriend,” Finn says firmly. “We’re gay- I mean she’s gay- well, I’m bi, but she’s gay- a lesbian. We only kissed once and it was real bad. We’re both single and not dating each other.”
“Good to know.” Poe says mildly, at risk of embarrassing Finn even more. Then:
“Can I buy you a drink?”
