The prince and his Physician. A role-reversal au based on a dream I had that I wanted to draw something for. More ramblings under the cut
In this au, there is a kingdom of men where the briar valley once stood. Silver, the heir to this kingdom, has been the only member of the royal family for centuries, the result of a curse that causes him to die before he's old enough to ascend to the throne and reincarnate days after his passing. Silver's immortality was once a symbols for the kingdom's permanence, but the repeated death of their monarch every two decades or so has left the citizens with perpetual, generational sorrow with seemingly no solution as no one besides Silver was alive when the curse was placed.
A few centuries after Silver was born and it was believed the last full-blooded fae in briar valley had either abandoned the land or died, a draconian fae child is found in the brambles. This fae, given the name Malleus, was brought to the kingdom at the request if the prince and raised as part of the royal court with the express purpose of becoming the royal physician/chemist. It is believed that Silver's curse, as everlasting as it seems, was placed on him by a fae with extreme magical prowess and if anyone has a chance of breaking it, it's another fae. The kingdom believes that Malleus will be able to break the death curse and allow Silver to become their immortal king.
However, Silver has other plans for his chemist. From an early age, Silver requested that Malleus use his talents to find a different kind of solution to his curse that he can never tell anyone. He wants Malleus to find a way to stop his reincarnations entirely and let him unburden his people with the monarchy. Whether to fulfill the request of the kingdom he calls home, or the prince that took him in is in Malleus' hands.

Its canon that Jason and Leo sneak into Chiron 's rec room in the big house, to play Mario Party six on Nintendo switch. And Leo would also program to game to do stupid stuff so they both can win all the time. I have no idea what you will do with this information, but I'm letting you know anyway.

Apprenticember! Day 7
Let’s go back to their physical description, but go even deeper! Do they have tattoos, piercings, scars, etc? What sort of clothes do they like?
Jamie has several scars all over their body (they used to be super clumsy in the earliest months after coming back to life), but the most evident is definitely the one they have on their left arm.
Tumblr media
Both Jamie and Asra hate talking about it, but this also happend because of an accident.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At that time Jamie had a lot of troubles regulating his magic and its strenght, and after this particular accident Asra almost stopped trying to teach him magic altogether because of how bad it scared him. It took a lot of time to convince him to give it another shot.
Interestingly enough that scar appeared in a pretty reminiscent spot.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both Asra and Val fucking hate it.

A physician once said: “The best medicine for humans is love.” Someone asked: “What if it doesn’t work?” He smiled and said: “Increase the dose.”

"She had found it difficult to make the transition from a mistress with the upper hand to the submissive wife that Henry, a conventional husband, now expected her to be, and her tantrums sorely tried him, driving him to seek solace in other beds"
Interesting quote and a common sentiment, so let’s unpack this:
we know henry also had mistresses while married to c/oa, but...
w/eir et al insist she was the perfect wife, that she never argued with him (the latter of which is not even true, we have contemporary observation otherwise, even before the GM, but accepting the premise for the sake of argument)
so... was it in response to ' tantrums' or was it just henry and a pattern already established?
bcus in the very limited way they acknowledge her upset (which is generally just limited to the elevation of his mistress' son)
the infidelity is offensive but not the central point of the anger, not enough to risk loss of influence to fight against it
it is not written about as a 'tantrum' (nor should it be, i’m merely pointing out the double standard), it is the noble, righteous purpose of her wanting to preserve her rights and that of her daughter
these incidents don’t receive the same treatment even though their context is similar, bcus...at least two of henry's mistresses while he was married to anne were supporters of her opponent (mary, also a threat to her daughter’s status)
so... was it 'tantrums' or was she also not going down without a fight because she viewed them as risking her and elizabeth's security ?
but it doesn't get the same treatment.
and the anne hastings thing with catherine does seem more personal but i digress , it is definitely not spoken of as a 'tantrum' either (nor should it be, again, i’m just pointing out the different language that tends to be used, and the blame cast upon anne & not her predecessor)
what i find really gross here is the implication and double negative inherent within
henry would not have taken mistresses while married to anne if she had more submissive, calmer
dignified even
but catherine was the perfect wife and model of queenly dignity and never said a harsh word to or against him
so... interesting to imply to avoid this she should have been 'more like catherine ' (again, whatever that means) when...it also happened to catherine?
we have a disrespectful comment but no actual record (altho it was a very short space of time) of henry taking mistresses while married to jane s/eymour
but no one says shit like coa should have been more like JS
yet i have seen people argue JS was emulating catherine and that's why he didn't cheat on her..... while forgetting he did cheat on catherine??

Why Women’s Wellness: Understanding High Cholesterol and Heart Disease in Women
At Access Health Care Physicians, LLC, we prioritize women's wellness and recognize the unique health challenges they may face. In this article, we delve into the critical topic of high cholesterol and heart disease in women, shedding light on the importance of understanding these conditions to promote better heart health.
Introduction:
Heart disease is a leading cause of mortality among women worldwide. While it has long been associated with men, women also face significant risks related to heart health, particularly concerning high cholesterol levels. Understanding the connection between high cholesterol and heart disease is vital for empowering women to make informed decisions about their health.
The Impact of High Cholesterol on Heart Health:
Cholesterol is a waxy, fat-like substance that our bodies need to build healthy cells. However, when cholesterol levels become elevated, it can lead to the accumulation of fatty deposits in the arteries, restricting blood flow to the heart. This condition, known as atherosclerosis, significantly increases the risk of heart disease and related complications.
Unique Risk Factors for Women:
Women may experience specific risk factors for high cholesterol and heart disease that differ from those of men. Some of these risk factors include:
Hormonal Changes: Hormonal fluctuations throughout a woman's life, such as during pregnancy, menopause, and the use of hormonal birth control, can impact cholesterol levels and heart health.
Smoking: Smoking is a prominent risk factor for heart disease in women. Female smokers face a higher risk of heart attacks and other cardiovascular issues.
Diabetes: Women with diabetes are at an increased risk of developing heart disease compared to men with diabetes.
Sedentary Lifestyle: Physical inactivity can lead to weight gain and unfavorable changes in cholesterol levels, contributing to heart disease risk.
Stress and Depression: Chronic stress and depression have been linked to higher cholesterol levels and an increased risk of heart disease in women.
Tumblr media
Recognizing Symptoms in Women:
Women may experience different heart attack symptoms than men. While chest pain is a common symptom for both genders, women may also present with other signs, including:
Pain or discomfort in the neck, jaw, or upper back
Shortness of breath
Nausea or vomiting
Lightheadedness or fainting
Pain or discomfort in one or both arms
It is essential for women to be aware of these symptoms and seek immediate medical attention if they experience any of them.
Preventive Measures for Women's Heart Health:
Preventing heart disease begins with proactive lifestyle choices and regular health checkups. Here are some preventive measures that women can take to improve heart health:
Healthy Diet: Adopt a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. Limit the intake of saturated and trans fats, as they can contribute to elevated cholesterol levels.
Regular Exercise: Engage in regular physical activity, such as walking, jogging, swimming, or cycling, for at least 150 minutes per week.
Manage Stress: Practice stress-reduction techniques, such as meditation, yoga, or deep breathing exercises, to promote emotional well-being.
Quit Smoking: If you smoke, seek support to quit smoking and improve your heart health significantly.
Regular Checkups: Schedule regular visits with healthcare providers for preventive screenings and cholesterol level assessments.
Conclusion:
Promoting women's wellness involves understanding the specific risks and challenges they may face concerning heart health. High cholesterol is a significant contributor to heart disease in women, but with early detection and lifestyle modifications, it can be effectively managed and even prevented.
At Access Health Care Physicians, LLC, we are committed to providing comprehensive care to women, empowering them to take charge of their health. Our team of healthcare providers offers personalized guidance and support to enhance heart health and overall well-being.
Educate yourself about heart disease and high cholesterol, make informed choices, and take proactive steps towards a healthier heart and a happier life.
