Empower Others: Finding the Best Life Coach Certification for You
Tumblr media
Introduction
So you've decided to embark on a journey to become a life coach, but where do you start? With countless life coach certification programs out there, finding the right one can be overwhelming. But fear not! This comprehensive guide will help you navigate the sea of options and find the best life coach certification for you.
Why Become a Certified Life Coach?
Before we dive into the world of life coach certifications, let's first understand why becoming a certified life coach is important. As a life coach, you have the power to empower others and help them achieve their goals. Whether it's helping someone overcome personal obstacles or guiding them towards professional success, being a certified life coach gives you the credibility and knowledge to make a real difference in people's lives.
The Benefits of Life Coach Certification
Now that we understand the importance of certification, let's explore the benefits of becoming a certified life coach:
Credibility: A certification adds credibility to your coaching practice and reassures clients that you have undergone proper training.
Skill Development: Certification programs provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel as a life coach. You'll learn effective coaching techniques, communication skills, and strategies for helping clients achieve their goals.
Networking Opportunities: Many certification programs offer networking opportunities with other coaches, allowing you to connect with like-minded professionals and expand your professional network.
Access to Resources: Certified coaches often have access to exclusive resources, such as coaching tools, templates, and continuing education materials, which can enhance your coaching practice.
Types of Life Coach Certifications
Now that we've covered the benefits of certification, let's explore the different types of life coach certifications:
1. International Coach Federation (ICF) Certification
The International Coach Federation (ICF) is one of the most recognized and respected organizations in the coaching industry. They offer three levels of certification: Associate Certified Coach (ACC), Professional Certified Coach (PCC), and Master Certified Coach (MCC). The ICF certification is widely regarded as a gold standard in the coaching world.
2. Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) Certification
The Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) is known for its comprehensive and experiential coach training programs. They offer a variety of certification programs, including the Certified Professional Coach (CPC) and the Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP) certifications.
3. Coach Training Alliance (CTA) Certification
Coach Training Alliance (CTA) offers a range of certification programs, including the Certified Coach Program (CCP) and the Certified Personal and Executive Coach (CPEC) program. CTA focuses on practical coaching skills and offers flexible training options to accommodate different schedules and learning preferences.
How to Choose the Right Certification Program
Now that you're familiar with some of the top certification programs, it's time to choose the right one for you. Here are some factors to consider:
Accreditation: Look for programs that are accredited by reputable coaching organizations, such as the ICF. Accreditation ensures that the program meets industry standards and provides high-quality training.
Curriculum: Review the curriculum of each program and ensure it aligns with your coaching goals and values. Look for programs that cover the core coaching competencies and offer specialized training in areas that interest you.
Training Format: Consider your learning style and preferences when choosing a program. Some programs offer in-person training, while others are entirely online. Choose a format that suits your needs and allows you to fully engage in the learning process.
Alumni Success: Research the success stories of graduates from each program. Look for testimonials and case studies that highlight the impact of the certification on their coaching careers.
Conclusion
Becoming a certified life coach is a rewarding and fulfilling journey. By choosing the right life coach certification program, you'll gain the skills, knowledge, and credibility to make a positive impact in the lives of others. So take the leap, empower others, and find the best life coach certification for you!

This blog will help you understand how enrolling in ICF-accredited coaching programs can set you on the path to becoming a successful coach, and why it is important to aim for certifications recognized by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
Why Global Leadership Coaching Matters
Global leadership coaching goes beyond traditional coaching methods by focusing on the skills needed to manage and lead teams in diverse, global environments. From managing cross-cultural teams to addressing the difficulties of global business, leadership coaches play an important role in shaping successful, adaptive leaders.
The global leadership program is designed for aspiring leaders who want to excel in these environments. Through structured learning and practical coaching experiences, this program prepares individuals to meet the growing demand for qualified leadership coaches who can influence change on a global scale.
Getting Started with an ICF-Accredited Program
The best way to begin your journey in global leadership coaching is by enrolling in an ICF-accredited coaching program. The ICF (International Coaching Federation) is the gold standard in the coaching industry, ensuring that certified coaches meet strict professional standards. Choosing a program accredited by the ICF guarantees that you will receive high-quality training that line up with international coaching guidelines.
A great starting point for beginners is the ICF ACC level 1 certification. The ICF ACC (Associate Certified Coach) credential is an entry-level certification that provides a solid foundation in coaching principles and practices. Many leadership development programs offer pathways to the ACC certification, helping you meet the ICF coaching certification requirements while improving your coaching skills.
The Path to Becoming an ICF-Certified Coach
To become an ICF-certified coach, you must complete a coaching program that meets the ICF coaching certification requirements, including a set number of coaching hours and mentor coaching. After that, you need to pass the ICF credentialing exam, which has a high pass rate when prepared through an accredited program.
One of the best places to follow your certification is through the ICF Advanced Certification in India. This advanced program offers an opportunity for participants to immerse themselves in global coaching techniques while focusing on leadership. With this certification, you'll be well-prepared to guide clients in both business & leadership coaching.
Building Your Leadership Coaching Career
As you take your first steps toward becoming an ICF credentialed coach, it’s important to understand the value you will bring to organizations. Leadership coaches have the ability to inspire and develop leaders at various levels, from middle management to C-suite executives. Companies increasingly seek coaches who can help their teams adapt to change, enhance performance, and lead with purpose in a global context.
By following the path outlined in ICF coaching international standards, you can not only achieve personal success but also make a significant impact on others. The global leadership program will help you grow into a coach who can effectively lead clients through the challenges of the modern business world.
Conclusion
Your journey toward becoming a global leadership coach begins with the right training and certification. Through ICF-accredited coaching programs, you’ll gain the skills and knowledge needed to make a permanent impact in the leadership space. With a strong foundation in coaching principles, you’ll be able to guide others through their leadership challenges and contribute to the global business landscape. Start your journey today and explore how leadership coaching can transform your career and the leaders you support.

How to find your passion:
Sometimes when we find ourselves unable to find motivation it is because we are stuck in a cycle of doing things, we are not passionate about. Therefore, knowing your passion is so important in going about our daily lives because it inspires us to find purpose.
Here are a few ways to identify your passion:
Create a list of your interests. What do you catch yourself reading the most about? What topics do you get most excited about discussing with others? Putting this down in writing is a great first step
Next, ask those around you what they think lights you up the most. It is easy to overlook our most obvious interests and characteristics so asking around can help us gain some insight.
Lastly, ask yourself what makes you happy? Chances are if you like exploring your city you are likely passionate about travel.
As always keep an open mind. Finding your passion takes time so be patient with yourself and make sure you have and try to have a positive perspective.
Allowing yourself to make mistakes:
Everyone makes mistakes but not everyone understands the value of forgiving yourself when you do. I always tell my clients to try new difficult things because it’ll force them to make mistakes. By getting things wrong you gain new skills and can grow in ways that you wouldn’t otherwise be able to. Here are some tips to help give permission to yourself to make mistakes:
When you begin something new and unfamiliar, recognize that it will take you some time to get the hang of it. Identify what you are unsure of and figure out a way to move forward from there.
Ask for help. Sometimes we can prevent mistakes simply by reaching out before it happens. Asking for help does not mean you are any less capable, rather it shows you are brave enough to seek out assistance.
Don’t worry about comparing yourself to others' abilities. Instead, think about how you did better than you did the day before. We are never going to be great at everything and it is important to remember this when we slip up.
Truly you can’t go wrong with making mistakes, the worst that can happen is to become memorable.
How to overcome procrastination:
While many students are in the midst of finals season, I wanted to share some helpful tips on how to overcome procrastination. To begin, you must be organized and prioritize what it is you wish to accomplish. Break your tasks down into manageable pieces and focus on accomplishing them one at a time. When you are struggling with procrastination it is often because you are thinking about all there is to do. Instead, focus on moving forward rather than on how difficult it will be.
On a deeper level, our mind postpones or puts off things because it is trying to protect us from feeling something unpleasant. For example, students often avoid homework because they think it is going to be difficult or boring. Being driven by this fear of not feeling good is what is preventing us from overcoming procrastination. My last tip for getting over procrastination is to ask yourself “why are you putting it off.” Listing out your reasons will help you develop more awareness about why and help you be less fearful or anxious about getting the job done.
How to identify your priorities and stick to them:
The other day I posted about how to overcome procrastination and briefly mentioned that it is important to identify your priorities and stick to them. But as always this is easier said than done. I always tell my clients to first distinguish between what needs more attention vs less. Then I ask them how would you like to spend more time/how would you like to spend less time? What is most important to you right now? And lastly, if you could do anything right now without any limitations what would it be?
Asking yourself these questions and then picking out what stands the most out to you will help you narrow down all that you feel you must accomplish. Pick one thing from that list that you have identified as the most important and finish it first.
This exercise can greatly help you find your priorities and feel a little less overwhelmed.

You could meet your partner through a woman, (be it a mother, friend) an expressive and creative woman. She could be a  neighbour, married women or someone who has light within them and the ability to spread light, a woman in love with life, could paint or do arts and crafts, could like sewing too. You guys could meet in some class/workshop you both are taking. One of you may not want to be here. You could meet at an art exhibition, museums, while shopping etc. Another possible location is at the park, where you run or jog. Either or both of you are into fitness, if not you will be at the time you meet them and will be taking care of yourself. Definitely at a public place, could be party where they are your friend’s friends, there is dancing, food and things fun, people will be taking among themselves. Happy positive energy, one of you likes to talk. Yes, I am seeing you’ll meet them when you are satisfied and fulfilled with how your life is going, could be 9 months from now. You could also meet them in march or May next year. You are confident, vibing, and they will show up suddenly when you least expect it. First meeting, they’ll notice you for a while before approaching you, they come across flirty, graceful, and put their best foot forward. Definitely a pleasant meeting. The meeting could end up being open-ended, like you may not have set a time to meet again, no one’s asked anyone out on a date, simply exchanged numbers/social media’s. You two might also end up going at the same bakery and meet again. They do have an offer for you but it will take some time before things become official. Don’t be disheartened, this is your future spouse so you guys definitely do end up together.

In class, a learning institution, could have meet in school, colleges, coaching centres, any hobby classes you take etc, but you are definitely here to learn and practice. These could be online workshops/certificate classes as well. It took you blood sweat and tears to pay for this course, it is something you have wanted to do for a long time, you know you are good, naturally talented. I am getting Annabeth from Percy Jackson, those vibes. You could meet at a martial arts academy, or even the gym. He is the new guy. Again, someone struggled to get where they are today(at the point you meet them). I am getting the same messages again, learning centre, through teachers too. You might be in the same group/team for projects, paired up together every time. You both will learn together, grow together. You will learn giving people benefit of the doubt, and becoming soft, not always having your guard up. You will be passionate about what you are doing, love is not even on your mind and you’d rather just focus on something else but it will creep up on you slowly, like the sea touches the shore take a step back before merging again, during the course of time the lines will get blurry, from I had dinner with them because practice ran late to ‘Hey, you want to get dinner together?’ With no compulsion of any situation. Slowly you will reach out to them, it will morph into a friendship with a small crush to your partner for life, it’s a slow burn but it’s worth it.

It will take a way for your union. Right now you need to develop into your authentic self, become more of yourself and express that. You feel unfulfilled and incomplete, you think finding a partner will solve all things, some of you are up and down the curve, on one day you literally can’t live without your soulmate and are dying for them to magically appear in your life to who cares? I just want to focus on me, my career, and money. There is  loneliness in your heart. I hear that your future spouse is not currently decided which is a good thing, the more you evolve, the more evolved person you will attract as your future spouse. You could meet them during grocery shopping, buy plants, getting your salary, when you are living the life you want to life like in an apartment with many plants, some art, mainly white with pops of color all around. I am seeing Europe for some of you. You could meet them after a life changing decision you took, it could be pack up your bags and move across the world. You will not be staying where you are right now that’s for sure. You are taking a chance on life and loving it. After this everything will start to get better, feel better. You are buying flowers for no reason and getting your chai/coffee, dressing up everyday. Everything is so colourful suddenly, that’s when you meet them. This is a new person, no toxic exes here. You literally are living your best life, laughing, hanging out with friends, genuine happiness, good bed time, someone who can’t wait to wake up to their new life, that is when you’ll know your future spouse is ready to come into your life and they ARE MATCHING YOUR ENERGY.

CARLA HARVEY Opens Up About Decision To Leave BUTCHER BABIES: 'There's So Much That Goes Into Being In A Band'
Tumblr media
During an appearance on a recent episode of The Ward Bond Show, former BUTCHER BABIES vocalist Carla Harvey, who works as a grief counselor and an end-of-life specialist, spoke about her decision to leave the band after a 15-year run. Reflecting on BUTCHER BABIES' formation and her eventual departure, she said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "It's quite interesting because [prior to BUTCHER BABIES] I had come to a point living in L.A., you get opportunities and they're snatched away from you. You make money, then you lose your money. And I was so tired of the entertainment business. And I was, like, 'I don't wanna do this anymore. I don't wanna play music anymore. I don't wanna act anymore. It's too much. Nothing is ever gonna happen with it.' So that's when I went to mortuary school and I was committed to only working in funeral service from then on out. Well, after a couple years of working, I got my dream job at a very big mortuary in L.A. And at the same time, I got an opportunity to start my band and go on tour for the first time in my life. So I had to make a choice in that moment. I've committed myself to this death-care career. Do I drop it all, everything that I've worked so hard for in school, and go on tour with this band and just see what happens one final time, or do I just stick on my path? And I chose music in that moment, and that was 2009 that I really committed back to music, and 2012 we went on our — we were touring non-stop, so there was no way I could work in funeral service anymore. Well, it ended up being the best thing that ever happened to me because our career just exploded, and so I got the best of both worlds. I had gotten my education. I had gotten a taste of working in death care, and then I could still live out my dream, and I am so grateful for that. The last 15 years of my life have been spent on stage, entertaining people in a capacity that I never dreamed I would have, especially after so much disappointment in my early years in L.A. So I got to do that. I got to be a rock star. I got to do all the things. And then 15 years later, my mind kind of changed again. [Laughs]"
Elaborating on her decision to leave BUTCHER BABIES and return to the death-care industry, Carla said: "So there's so much that goes into being in a band, especially as you get older and your life changes, you have relationships, you have a partner. I have a stepdaughter, and the idea, all of a sudden, of being on the road 10, 12 months out of the year became just a lot to handle. And in a band there's five people, and half of those people may feel like they want to be on the road constantly all the time and then some people are, like, 'Maybe it's halftime.' So it doesn't always work out for the greater good of everybody."
She continued: "My dad said something to me once years ago, when we had started the band, and he meant it in jest. He said, 'I saw you singing on the Internet. Don't quit your day job.' And at the time I was, like, 'That's the nastiest thing you could say.' But I'm glad I never quit my day job. In fact, all the while, the last 15 years, while I've been on tour, I've been getting more education and getting more certification so that I could continue on because I always had that need to still be in death care in some aspect. I founded my grief coaching company so that I could still be of service to people who need me in that capacity. It was very important to me. And then last year, I was on this major summer tour. We were playing sheds, the outdoor amphitheaters and it was wonderful and every day you're up on stage singing your heart out, but, man, I saw this post about [innovative solidified remains company] Parting Stone looking for a partner success manager. And I thought, 'Man, I wanna apply for this. I wanna see what happens if I can take this job.'"
Harvey added: "There's just so many moments in life where you really have to assess what's best for you. Life changes. And also another thing about the entertainment industry and the music industry, it's not the same as it was for musicians 20 years ago, 10 years ago. My future husband's [ANTHRAX and PANTERA drummer Charlie Benante] in a legacy band. They never have to worry about having a real job — ever. But bands my size? You're not breaking the bank. You're not really earning a livable wage unless you're on the road 12 months out of the year. You can't support yourself. So I've always had other jobs, whether I'm painting pictures for people or doing my grief coaching on the side. That's a day job that I've been able to maintain throughout my career with music. It was a necessity as well as a passion, because otherwise I'd be couch surfing somewhere. [Laughs] I have nothing. So it's really hard to live passionately and just follow your dreams without something to fall back on or something to assist you. And I tell this to a lot of people, and some people are, like, 'No, man. I don't want a backup plan. This is the only thing I'm ever gonna do.'
"I always thought about, 'Okay, this is awesome right now. What about when I'm 60? What am I gonna do then?'" Carla said. "Because my mom is 72 and she's working all the time still. She loves working. We're not 70-year-olds that are gonna be sitting on a couch or 60-year-olds that aren't gonna be out doing something. Life is different. We're still gonna be working. We have to do something, and I'd rather have that be a career rather than a job that I'm forced to have to sustain myself in the [later] years."
Last month, Carla announced that she was launching a new project called THE VIOLENT HOUR. At least some of the early recording sessions for the project have been overseen by producer Jay Ruston, who has previously worked with ANTHRAX, STEEL PANTHER and URIAH HEEP, among many others.
Harvey shared the news of THE VIOLENT HOUR's launch in a social media post on September 21. She wrote: "It's coming. I've put my heart and soul into my new project THE VIOLENT HOUR over the last 6 months. I can't wait for you to hear it. Keep your eyes peeled for updates. This is a slower process than I'd like...but...I'm pumped!"
BUTCHER BABIES announced their split with Harvey in July, saying in a statement that "Carla has been an integral part of our journey, bringing her unique talent, passion, and energy to the band," and wishing "her all the best in her future endeavors."
Carla, who co-founded BUTCHER BABIES in 2010 with fellow vocalist Heidi Shepherd, confirmed her exit from the band in a separate post, saying that she was "super proud" of her work with BUTCHER BABIES and adding that she was "not done making music and performing."
Last fall, BUTCHER BABIES completed a European tour without Carla, who sat out the trek in order to undergo emergency surgery on her left eye.
BUTCHER BABIES recently embarked on a three-week European tour, starting on July 27 at the Stonehenge festival in The Netherlands.
This past January, Harvey and Benante announced that they were officially engaged.
BUTCHER BABIES released a double album "Eye For An Eye..." and "…'Til The World's Blind", in July 2023. The double album celebrated the tenth anniversary of BUTCHER BABIES' critically acclaimed debut, "Goliath", released on July 9, 2013 via Century Media Records.
Smitten with tales of the Sunset Strip, Harvey made the pilgrimage to Los Angeles from her Native Detroit to play a little rock and roll…and instead found herself the entertainment report for a groundbreaking cable TV news program. After hosting two series and acting in a variety of television programs, movies and commercials, Harvey took a break from showbiz to earn her degree in mortuary science. She embarked on a successful career in embalming and funeral directing before going back to her first love: music.
In addition to writing and recording, Carla has a passion for drawing and penning comic books. Her love affair with the genre started when she discovered the Incredible Hulk at four years old. She spent the majority of her teenage years holed up in her room listening to PANTERA and developing an affinity for drawing her own scantily clad comic book characters. Dubbed a "comic book master-mind" by Hustler magazine, Harvey's first published comic book "Butcher Babies" (a fantasy, horror concept surrounding her now-former band),premiered and sold out at its Comic-Con San Diego debut, leaving fans chomping at the bit for her next comic, "Soul Sucka". Shortly after, she released her first full-length novel, "Death And Other Dances", to rave reviews. Carla's art has been featured in Famous Monsters magazine and has graced the cover of iconic Heavy Metal magazine.

F1 hard truth:
Lando Norris’ hardships in basic academics as shown in Grill the Grid isn’t solely the fault for training for F1 and dyslexia but also probably his lack of interest regarding educating himself and/or how he was academically educated growing up.
Because it’s interesting how this argument comes up only when it’s about Norris and sometimes some others too. But all drivers are pretty much average and Verstappen who is known for being the Top 1 at the moment, has a shocking pre F1 victory strike since Karting days (LITERALLY NEVER ARRIVING SECOND!) , countless stories about his hardships with his father coaching him since he was about 3 years old and making F1 all of his life, is often one of the best at these same games.
Fernando Alonso and Sabastian Vettel too.
The truth is that one might not me much intelligent and that’s about it, I completely understand it and struggle with it myself even when I was pushed academically more than my classmates.
But it becomes inexcusable when you don’t know where your country is. Something a 7 year old can do. He, like the others, travel the world as a job, even in their karting days.
We can sympathise with it and him, but don’t make excuses ,come up with theories or put the blame on motorsport. It shows that you are trying to sugarcoat it because you are aware that there’s no defence for it. He’s just … uneducated on basic geography but you don’t want to think about it because you like him. But you don’t have to “unfollow” him because of it. You can still like everything else about him while admitting that it can be better and surely without shaming him!
I believe that formal institutionalised academics are to ensure a certain level is reached. You actually can learn everything alone but of course, can’t or are not allowed to do some things without certification, for everyone’s safety. So it doesn’t make sense that just because someone didn’t complete high school, they are illiterate and completely stupid. As someone who comes from countries with actual illiterate people and is the daughter of one (who is now literate but you can see the struggle when one reached a certain age and the brain has harder times correcting some errors). So please stop theorizing that just because he or other drivers haven’t attended university or maybe have not finished high school, they are uneducated.
Edit: I saw the replies and rechecked my post, you are right and I modified the term. But I want to explain that I did not mean that he is actually stupid. I was just lacking of words and terms to explain what I meant. Now I replaced it with “Uneducated on basic geography” because I know very well he has other theological knowledge that would be hard to me. The “illiterate” part is misunderstood, I meant that as a way to indeed say that I believe the contrary: People can be literate without high school. I added it there because a pet peeve of mine is people actually being convinced that without a minimum of 3 years of university makes you illiterate all of a sudden. It’s a silly mentality to me, and it’s always an ick when a “fan” of him uses this “excuse”. I wanted to be understood but I messed up and I am sorry, but I hope you people understand what I meant in general with the post. I did not make it to shade him or point it out unlike many people in various social medias and comments under these videos;
I made this post to tell people who overanalyze and over-excuse him to just let it be. That’s it. It’s backhanded to put so much energy into this and prove otherwise when it’s plain simple (and other factors could play a role in it too, I know). But some people want to gaslight themselves into thinking that a celebrity of their liking is not as amazing(according to their personal standards and values) as they wish they were. People do this with other celebrities too, pushing the narrative that one is “secretly intentionally chaotic” or the contrary, just an example. People need to accept their celebrities without the guilt for one thing that turns them off. Or at least respect it and not force said narrative. People will gaslight themselves into changing the smallest details about celebrities to “vibe” better with them. Especially females (or maybe I notice it more with them because I am also one?), for example they will make hundreds of posts to show that they appreciate the female star’s natural voice when in reality it’s just simply at its’ deepest. I think it’s tied with the “not like the other girls” preference. Because they act like they have super high pitched voices when they simply are…ladies with an average feminine voice+feminine (sometimes hyper) style and persona. And all feminine things are now being called “cutesy” and childlike. When sometimes they are simply feminine /+and pretty. Because many times they are not even obnoxious at it. You’d think that they are talking about an anime girl voice, but it’s just a lady. They just don’t vibe with her voice and will gaslight themselves that she’s pushing it , ‘but that’s okay to them’.

Get to Know… Alder Mellark
Alder is the Junior Varsity wrestling coach at District 12's local high school. While a great deal of the staff double as both teachers and coaches, Alder knew there wasn't a chance he'd be able to lead academic classes he barely passed himself. Instead, he busted his ass to prove he was the right man for the job and has vowed to uphold that promise since securing the position.
With Ronan and several of his close friends settling down and starting families of their own, Alder can't help but notice that he's lagging behind everyone...again. His new one-bedroom apartment bachelor pad kept him satisfied and proud for a while, but it's starting to feel rather lonely.
Quick Facts
Age: 25
Aliases: Coach Mellark (students)
Motivations: Above all, Alder is motivated by his desire to succeed, live independently, and prove to others that he can lead an admirable life despite his...intellectual shortcomings. He jumped at the opportunity to move out of his family home the moment he had finally made enough on his own to do so. With his teaching career in full swing and a place to call his own, Alder is looking forward to the next stage of his life.
Current Goals: Now that he's had a couple of years to settle into the mindset of a coach (and learn how to level with hormonal teenagers), Alder's dead set on leading his team to championships.
Current Job: Alder graduated high school and returned a few short years later as a staff member. After leading their wrestling team to several victories throughout his own high school career, hiring Alder on as the new JV wrestling coach was a no brainer. He wasn't thrilled about having to complete the required courses and certifications to clinch the job, but found that having a tangible goal to work towards helped him focus a bit better and power through.
Best Quality: His heart! Alder may not be the brightest of the bunch, but his intentions are always good. Several of his fellow teachers have noted how kind and encouraging he is with his students, and his outgoing nature has kept him surrounded by friends over the years.
Worst Quality: Let's just say Alder was exceptionally lucky to have been given the gift of athleticism... He made it through school by the skin of his teeth and graduated bottom of his class. Alder is always quick to point out to naysayers that, per Mr. Lee, he just "learns differently"!
Hobbies/Interests: Alder is an athlete through and through. He was always an active and reckless kid, making his parents keen to find him something positive and productive to dump all of that excess energy into. He tried out several sports and loved all of them, but it became clear rather quickly that wrestling was where he would find the most success when it came to playing competitively. When he's not coaching, Alder likes to spend his free time in the gym, plays other sports casually with friends, and frequently attends Red Wolves games.
Family: As the baby of the family, Alder has been the subject of Aspen's doting since birth. Several of his trophies and medals from high school are still proudly displayed around the house, and Aspen has transitioned from bragging about his many athletic achievements to boasting about his newfound success as a coach. While Reid and Alder are not quite as close, his father has always made an effort to encourage and support him over the years, even if Alder doesn't always heed his advice.
Despite being total opposites, Alder has always looked up to Ronan. That's his older brother after all! He was the only person shocked by Ronan's coming out, and even more so when it was revealed he and Jasper were dating. Alder had several questions at first (many of which Ronan had to shut down), but he has since grown to admire their dynamic and hopes to find a relationship of his own that measures up.
His uncle Orion is his hero, hands down. The pair are two dumbass peas in a pod, and Alder loves spending time with him. He frequently asks Orion questions about his "glory days" playing football, and the two can pass a ball around and joke for hours...much to Reid's dismay.
Other Relationships: Alder would do anything for his students. Not a day goes by that he's not excited to go to work and spend time with those kids. Maybe it's because he shares the same reading level as them, but he gets along great with his team and always makes an effort to give them the best guidance possible.
Alder spent an embarrassing amount of time believing Ronan and Penny were an item until his brother officially came out. Once it was revealed that they were nothing more than best friends, Alder felt more comfortable spending time alone with her and striking up conversations. He's impressed by her confidence and finds her eclectic sense of style fascinating, but the poor boy doesn't have a clue that there could be more to their connection. If someone were to spell it out for him though...who knows?
Last Song on Repeat:
Ambitious by Jack Harlow I was never meant to be a college applicant Fuck I look like goin' to college after this Class clown type that like to holla at the chicks Friend group solid as it gets
