Playlist for Snupin dancing in the kitchen?
(from Remus-poopin btw)
send me playlist prompts! please i still want them!
Gnjfhfjjdkfjsk this is like the ideal playlist ask THANK YOU
This is a playlist of warm and sunny 60s/70s/80s songs to dance and cook to, with a healthy amount of (slightly complicated) love songs. I'm gonna go thru this song by song because as per usual I have shit to say
Track list:
Todd Rundgren - Can We Still Be Friends?: so Snupin is kinda an enemies-to-lovers thing, right? So this lovely little song – "Let's admit we made a mistake, but can we still be friends?" – is rather fitting. Also I just love Todd Rundgren and his warm jazzy 70s piano songs, he makes great kitchen music.
Laura Nyro - Stoned Soul Picnic: I'm going to need to remove the phrase "warm jazzy 70s piano songs" from my vocabulary by the end of this, but that's exactly what this song is. Also I'm just a huge Laura Nyro fan and looking for an excuse to talk about her. Unrelated but also she looks like how I imagine Eileen Prince
The Cleaners from Venus - Lukewarm Love Song: IMO this is the best song on this playlist. Like I mentioned in the Remus playlist ask, The Cleaners from Venus (with their adorable jazzy lo-fi jangle pop songs) are peak Remus to me. This song is one of my favorites of theirs and imo fits the Snupin dynamic very well. The lyrics are SO ambiguous in the best way possible: "I would not be with you unless I wanted to" could be a comforting reassurance if that person is, well, with you, but if you're in a complicated enemies-to-lovers situationship, it might mean something else...! In this context, I read it as someone (let's be real probably Snape) convincing themselves that they don't like the other person, even though they are with them, and they do call them, and they think about them all the time (as the rest of the lyrics go)... and maybe THEN they realize that they're doing all of this because they want to. You done gone and fell in love idiot!
Shira Small - My Life's Alright: Ok I just have to say this album is amazing, this is Shira Small's only album and she made it in college and it's just the loveliest most comforting jazzy 70s thing in the world and I love it so much that I transcribed all the lyrics on Genius and it's great. To me this song is about slowing down and noticing the small things and being grateful for being alive and dancing in the kitchen and I like it!!!!
Warren Zevon - Werewolves of London: I like to imagine that Snape antagonizes Lupin with this song but Lupin begrudgingly enjoys it. I should finish that comic I started about this
Todd Rundgren - Izzat Love?: another W for Todd Rundgren and his warm jazzy 70s love songs
Shira Small - Here I Stand: A lovely little song of platonic or romantic devotion that also is surprisingly matter-of-fact. Here I stand with you but also you need to make up your mind about whether you want to enjoy life or not. Aka Lupin @ Snape
Orange Juice - Falling and Laughing: This is just kinda of one of the best love songs ever, I don't make the rules
The Replacements - Swingin' Party: This is very, we're cleaning up after everyone's gone home from the party but the music is still on and we're not quite sober yet. Also "if being afraid is a crime, we hang side by side" ?!!!! screaming crying throwing up
Ronnie D'Addario - Nice Meeting You Again: I think this song is very fun in the context of two people who met a long time ago and fucking hated each other. "With every day, I see the way our love's brand new again" – CUTE.
Thank you so much for this ask and letting me gush about all of these songs. I have such brainrot for this ship. Hopefully this playlist shows the dynamic I'm going for and doesn't just make me look insane 👍

Late Orchestration, Kanye West, 24. April 2006.
Late Orchestrations is definitely a gem in the sea called Kanye West. A full orchestrated live album of songs from Collage Dropout and Late Registrations.
The set list is kind of so-so; it combines the best parts from the College Dropout and, personally, the most boring parts of Late Resgistrations. The beginning starts strong with Diamonds From Sierra Leone and Touch the Sky, but after that, it all goes downhill for a while until the pace picks up with songs like Through The Wire and Workout Plan, which I find the highlights of the album. So it surely is a shame that when I try to listen to the album from start to finish, I need to get by songs that feel lacking.
Personally, it's a shame that songs like Roses, Slow Jamz, and even Mama were not included but could have had an amazing orchestral performance.
With that said, the songs that are there do feel mesmerizing, and I can even say that I find some of them more enjoyable than the original. As well, I'm glad that the soundtrack left West's interactions and crowdchers in. Personally, I prefer live albums over studio recordings for their raw feeling, and I find that you can appreciate an artist's talent on another level, which is the case here.
This was one of my first introductions to West's music, and I must say that after this, it was hard to get into his more experimental, newer things.
It definitely is a starting point and a very good one, especially for someone who's interested in mashups of classical and hip-hop, but that said, it's not representative of his career as a whole. Late Orchestrations marked a milestone of two great albums, and it definitely shows, and for any fan of his or hip-hop in general who is interested in hearing his songs in an altered way, it is definitely a good listen.
All in all, this is not a bad live album. For me, not his most must-hear thing, but definitely a good one to accompany the two albums before.
I would give it a: try it, you may find it enjoyable.
If you found my review worth discussing in any way, I'm happy to do so.
Yours trully,
MJ.10.

Thank you @bazzybelle for the tag, I like doing these two!
Were you named after anyone?
Oddly enough, I was named after my father's best friend. And then, through drama and betrayal, they had a major falling out, and so I never met this friend.
Do you have kids?
Yes, two. A Uni student and a high school student.
Do you use sarcasm a lot?
Not nearly as much as I used to. Being a middle school teacher has put a curb on my tongue and a tendency to second thoughts in my mind. I always think of how my students might perceive my words, and I don't say it if it might cause hurt feelings.
What's the first thing you notice about people?
Their face, definitely. I don't notice anything else about them for a long time. Unless they come up to me in a clown costume!
What's your eye colour?
Hazel
Scary movie or happy ending?
Not a fan of scary movies and I figure, I watch movies to escape real life, so I don't want real life pain in my movies, so definitely happy ending.
Any special talents?
I am absolutely amazing at multiple choice tests. Like, got a perfect score on my GREs amazing. It's a useless talent in real life, of course, but it helped in school!
What are your hobbies?
Writing, daily. Some elementary school level crafting. I want to do more scrapbooking. And travel, if that can be called a hobby when I can only afford it once or twice a year!
Have any pets?
Yes, though none are technically 'mine'. We have a lab/sharpei mix, Hazel, a guinea pig, Ashley, and a piebald python, Jamz.
What sport do you play/have you played?
I am the opposite of athletic. I played softball in high school. I sucked at it.
How tall are you?
5' 7"
Favourite subject at school?
Lol, I teach science...and my favorite school subject was English. Go figure.
Dream job?
Can volunteering be a job? In my wildest dreams, I wouldn't need to work for money and I could volunteer for wildlife and poverty charities, to make the world a better place.
I've got no idea who's done this (it's the first time I've seen it, so I'll tag a few friends I'd like to know better.
@artsyunderstudy, @bookish-bogwitch, @facewithoutheart, @giishu, @hushed-chorus, @ic3-que3n, @letraspal, @larkral, @moodandmist, @alexalexinii, @nausikaaa, @raenestee, @theearlgreymage, @youarenevertooold, @you-remind-me-of-the-babe

The 3-days Intramurals
The 3-days intramurals is a memory to never forget.
The first day of intramurals. We went to Maam Songcal, when we got there, we waited for the opening ceremony. When it's time for the opening ceremony, we sang the Phillippine national anthem, Lupang Hinirang. After that, the opening remarks then the lighting of torch by Nico Barriga, then the oath of amateurism by Sophia Morgia. After, the first band, "NxN", performed "Raining in Manila" me and the others sang along because we know the lyrics to the song. After that, was the Mr. and Ms. intramurals of 2023 performed, me and the whole Lighting Jamz cheered when we saw our candidates. After, band number two, Crimson, performed "Party in the USA", but I did not know the lyrics to the song but I still enjoyed the song. After, some of my new friends ate snacks and me as well. Then the grades 1, 2,3, and 4 performed their dance, although, my cousin did not dance really well. After their performance, it was time for the raising of the banners and closing remarks. Then our teachers told us to form a line by teams, and while we were in line, the Seventh Symphony performed "Come inside my heart". I did not know the lyrics though. Then, Infin8ty performed "Love story" which is a song that I know. Me and one of my classmates sang our hearts out because we really love that song, and we love Taylor Swift. Then NxN performed "A Thousand Miles", but I did not know the lyrics to the song since I'm not really a music kind of girl. Then the Crimson performed "Fearless" which I know the lyrics to. Me and one of my classmates sang our hearts out again. Then the final band performed "Enchated" which I know by heart, so I sang the song with all my heart. Then it was time to go back to school so we can have lunch. After lunch, we went to Maam Soncal again for our sports, I did badminton, and I wanted to be a single player but I decided to become doubles so I can pair up with my best friend. Then a few hours later, two of a grade 5 students had an accident. One student can hardly breath and the other one almost fainted but luckily, our school nurse helped them. Then two of my friends said that they won in badminton, and I congratulated them. Then hours passed by, it was time for the high school basketball to play. Then we cheered as loud as we can, but sadly, it was time to go back to school. So, I did not know who won. When we came back to school, me and one of my classmates was playing badminton so I can practice for our doubles. Then I went home. That was the ending of the first day of intramurals.
The second day of intramurals. We went to Maam Songcal for our sports. When we got there, me and my best friend was practicing for our turn. When it was our turn, I focused and concentrated. Sadly, we lose but it was ok, but my partner was a bit mad. Then I didn't really do anything else after that. After, we went back to school. I was about to buy lunch until our teacher said to sit down because it was one of my classmates birthday and he was distributing food to us. Then we sang happy birthday to him. Then we ate. After lunch, we went back to Maam Songcal and we watched the elementary playing basketball. We cheered so loud. Then we kept on screaming and cheering, but we lose which was really sad. Then we found out that we won the scrable and chess. We were so happy. We didn't really have any activities much. Then we went home. Then that was the end of the second day of intramurals.
The third and final day of intramurals. At morning, we were finishing the props while others were just doing nothing. I didn't really do anything. Then the Golden Flames was practicing they're cheer dance while the others watched them. Then I helped with the props but it was time for our team to practice our cheer dance. After, we had a short break, but Golden Flames was practicing again when it supposed to be our team to practice. I helped again with the props but then one of my teachers got mad and told us to go practice in Maam Songcal. When we got there, we practiced our dance but there wasn't any music since the speaker was out of battery. Then there was music again and we continued to practice. After we went back to school. Then, at lunch, I went home to eat lunch. After, it was almost 1 o'clock and I rushed to school. When i got to school, one of my classmates told me to go change in the grade 3 room. After, I told my friends that I have makeup so me and my friends can put on makeup together. I helped them with blush because they put a lot of blush on in their cheeks. After, we made a line to go to Maam Songcal. When we got there, we waited for a few hours until we can perform. There was already a lot of people. While waiting, the Mr. and Ms. Intramurals of 2023 performed. We cheered so loud that our voices were already gone. After the Mr. and Ms. Intramurals performed, it was time for the Golden Flames to perform, and yes, we did cheer for them, but we all wanted to win. After, it was time for us to perform, and some of us were really nervous. We did our best. After our performance, lots of people cheered and clapped for us, although, during our breakdance, the music stopped but it was all ok. After that, we drank water, ate snack and just talked. After, it was time for the announcing of the Mr. and Ms. Intramurals, and we did not expect that the Lighting Jamz won Mr. and Ms. Intramurals. After, it was announcing the winners in the physical games and the board games. I congratulated them. After, it was the big moment, the host announced the winners of the cheer dance, and our team was so happy when the host announced that the winners our us. We kept on screaming, some of us cried too. Then the host announced the winners of the whole Intramurals of 2023. We were beaming of joy because we won! Some of us cried especially me because I was so shocked that we won. We cheered, we screamed, we were crying happy tears. Although, the other team congratulated us but some cried, but we were so happy, and me and everyone else lost our voices. Our leaders were so proud and happy. After we took pictures with the other team too, but some team members didn't want to be in the picture. Then I helped the teachers picking up the trash. After, I took pictures with my friend then went home. It was the most joyful day I ever had, because it was my first time experiencing this. Then, that was the end of the third day of intramurals of 2023.

My first REAL Intramurals (First Day)
I am Alvin Augustine Tenchavez, a Kepler student in Danao City, and THIS was my first REAL intramurals. My school follows a three-day format for its intramurals. So I will make a corresponding 3 posts to explain the events of our three day intramurals! The first day consisted of a parade, an opening ceremony, and a lot of sports. But before that let me tell you the two competing teams for this intramurals. *clears throat* In the first corner we have the Golden Flames known for their teamwork and impressive sychronization. And in the second corner we have the Lightning Jamz, who have impressive individuality and beauty. Place your bets now and see who will be revealed as the winner on the third day! I myself was a proud member of the Lightning Jamz! The parade was a short one as the venue for the sorts and opening ceremony was very close, however despite that both teams had made it a loud and inspiring parade. After the parade was the opening ceremony and it was about the singing of the national anthem, taking the oath of an athlete, and so on and so forth. Things you as a reader would not bat an eye to, However I have one MAJOR complaint for our intramurals, the heat was UNBEARABLE, of course this cannot be helped as most sports require a big and open space, and the tropical climate of the Philippines is usually raining, which is not fit for most sports, and extreme heat which is what the weather decided to portray. However there was one event that was very important to the intrams it was the banner racing. This event involved the racing of the banners between the two teams. Whichever team that won, would get 2 points. And after a neck and neck race, the Lightning Jamz won because the other team had dropped their banner. After this there were no more important events until the afternoon. Now, before I start the Afternoon Segment, let me announce the two sports I had joined and my level of experience with them, my first was chess , which I was the best in the school in, as I am equal to a 1600 rated player. The second however was badminton a sport which I had only started playing 2 weeks before. So it would come as no surprise as to why me and my doubles(AJ) lost to one of the best elementary player of our school. To me this defeat was predictable and I was mostly unfazed as I had tasted defeat many times before in chess, however to my partner, AJ this was a soul crushing defeat. At the end of the day failure is just a stepping stone to become better, and even though it can be hard to accept, life never waits and so me and AJ continued as friends and the first day of the intramurals would come to a close.

New Music Coming Soon!
Tumblr media
Hey Jamerz, it's your favorite DJ here, dropping some sick beats to get you all hyped up! I hope you're all ready to dance your hearts out because my new album is going to be epic!
I've been hitting the studio hard, crafting some new tracks that are going to blow your mind. The energy and passion that I pour into every beat is just a taste of what I have in store for you tonight.
When I'm on stage, I'm not just a DJ, I'm a conductor of the crowd, your party tour guide. I can feel the energy in the room, and I use it to create a musical journey that will take you to another dimension.
So let's forget about everything else and just focus on the music. Let's feel the bass pulsing through our bodies and the rhythm pumping through our veins. Let's get lost in the moment and dance like there's no tomorrow.
We're going to make memories that will last a lifetime. So let's do this! Are you ready to party with me? Let's show the world what we've got! New music coming soon!
To The Best Jamz,
DJ Jamton

got tagged by @turbulentpumpkin43 to post five songs i actually listen to and then tag 10 people? i am too embarrassed to tag more people but i will gladly take the opportunity to talk about tunez :)
some new releases i’ve been playing and other stuff on my current jamz playlist:
Permanent Rebellion by L.S. Dunes - i always feel a little like a poser when my favorite song on an album is the lead single but like. hey man sometimes the lead single is the lead single because it’s one of the best songs on the album. makes sense. though of course the entirety of Past Lives is INCREDIBLE—i think sometimes with these “supergroups” the music ends up as less than the sum of its parts, but in l.s. dunes’ case i think all of the guys were bringing their A-game. feels like a real proper band rather than just some dudes from other projects throwing something together just ‘cause; their passion for the music and respect for each other’s artistry is palpable. it’s fucking awesome stuff i love u l.s. dunes dad rock band of all time
Attention Economy by Toredoria - i have absolutely no idea who this artist is at all. one of the other songs on this album showed up in my recommendations on my youtube home page one day with 2.3k views and i got curious so i checked it out. solid album with some great tunes (one of them even has a twin peaks reference!!), i like having it on in the background while i work on stuff. toredoria, whoever you are, keep it up.
Rotary by Archer Oh - EVERYONE LISTEN TO ARCHER OH NOW!!!!! “local” band (they’re from a completely different part of the state from me lol) i love love love. they JUST released their new album Gradients and i am obsessed with it. majorly recommend it if you’re into, like, surfy indie garage rock. this record’s something of an exploration of the cycle of grief, with absolutely rocking, lively, driving instrumentals, some crazy vocals and stuff that ranges tonally from “evil songs to get your teeth kicked in to” to “i’m going to lie down and die forever listening to this”. i love these guys.
Heck by underscores - this song rules. the music video FUCKS. awesome hyperpop/electronic artist with a lot of rock/pop punk influence that my good friend nervwrack put me onto (if u see this, hi raz! sorry my description here is lacking heh). i just really like this song i love the textures of it i love the noises. it’s hot. what if you were the grim reaper’s housewife.
Bury Me in Black - Demo by My Chemical Romance - obligatory my chem song, you knew it was coming. “i wanna see what your insides look like / i bet you’re not fucking pretty on the inside” top 10 sexiest lines in all of emo history btw. if you even care. my chemical romance specialest band in the world btw. if y
thanks again for the tag ash!! won’t tag anyone because i’m shy. feel free to do this if u want though spiritually i am tagging anyone who would like to mwah

The Album To Start Kanye Career
With Kanye West considering changing his career from a producer to a rapper, nobody took him seriously. But just one person in Roc-A-Fella saw potential in Kanye and then to produce his first album “The College Dropout” as a artist in his career which set him off to officially take off as a A-lost celebrity rapper.

8 Never Let Me Down 8/10

10 Workout Plan 7/10
11 The New Workout Plan 6/10
12 Slow Jamz 10/10
13 Breathe In Breathe Out 4/10
14 School Spirit Skit 1 NA
15 School Spirit 7/10
16 School Spirit Skit 2 NA
17 Lil Jimmy Skit NA
18 Two Words 6/10
19 Through The Wire 10/10
20 Family Business 10/10
21 Last Call 10/10
In my personal opinion as a start to Kanye career and not going in the direction as every other rapper in the game at that time, this is one of Kanye West best albums. Just how the whole albums fits perfectly together to “Last Call” being about the hardships and everything he was doing to get in the rap game. For me this gets a rating 8/10

15 Questions | 15 People
Rules: Answer these 15 Questions, then Tag 15 People
Thanks for tagging me @theearlgreymage! These are always fun :)
1. Are you named after anyone? So, I'm named after my father's former best friend, Patrick Michael. Funny story, he and my dad fell out shortly after I was born, and they've never seen each other again. Oh well, at least I got a decent name out of it.
2. When was the last time you cried? I'm crying right now, listening to the song @cutestkilla and @moodandmist made for me for the hundredth time. Otherwise, I mostly only cry during movies.
3. Do you have kids? Two kids, one grown, one in high school begging to read my fics (oops?)
4. Do you use sarcasm a lot? I have to echo @theearlgreymage. I teach secondary. Sarcasm is a survival skill.
5. What’s the first thing you notice about people? Their expressions. Don't try to ask me what they were wearing. Like, ever. I don't see bodies, only faces. I suck at dress code enforcement.
6. What’s your eye color? Hazel. But you can't see the green until I'm in bright sunlight. Then it's mostly green.
7. Scary movies or happy ending? Happy endings, most definitely. A sad movie may be important and worthwhile, but I like my crying to happen in the middle of the movie, not the end.
8. Any special talents? Writing? Patience, that's got to be a talent. Focus?
9. Where were you born? SoCal, baby!
10. What are your hobbies? Just writing at the moment. I want to scrapbook, but never find the time. And reading fanfiction, duh.
11. Do you have any pets? The family has a white sharpie/lab mix named Hazel and my daughter has a guinea pig, Ashley, and a Piebald Boa baby who holds my whole heart. (Picture of Jamz acting like a cat under the cut.)
12. What sports do you play/have you played? Not sporty, in the least. I took dance classes and lap swimming in college for my PE credit, does that count? I guess I like hiking.
13. How tall are you? 5'7"
14. Favorite subject at school? English. And no, I don't teach English, lol.
15. Dream job? Is professional volunteer a job? Shit's so hard for teachers right now, man. I'd love to just give it all up to be able to volunteer as tutor, and for nature programs and for the food bank, and spend my downtime scrapbooking and writing. So, if we're dreaming...
I'll tag my fifteen here, since there's a snake below the cut and I know you might not all love the noodle babies like I do.
Tagging: @artsyunderstudy, @bookish-bogwitch, @carryonsimoncarryonbaz, @fight-surrender, @fatalfangirl, @facewithoutheart, @foolofabookwyrm-activated, @giishu, @ileadacharmedlife, @ivelovedhimthroughworse, @ionlydrinkhotwater, @frjsti, @krisrix, @cutestkilla, @moodandmist
Here's a Jamzie boy. I have NO idea why the picture pasted in sideways
