read a book for me. 📚
inspired by people who were curious about the books featured in xz’s video, let’s take a look at what they are. i’d like to think these were pre approved by XZ and are related to his interests. i’m not removing tge possibility that one of these were chosen by someone from xzs or the director himself. i’m tagging this as cpn because there will be some cpn. if you don’t wanna go that route and just enjoy learning about the titles featured, then go ahead. 😉
1. Restoration House by Kennesha Bucks
You don't have to live in your dream house to make your living spaces feel more like home. Home is meant to be a place to belong. A place to gather and connect. A place of beauty. A place to restore your soul. In Restoration House, author and designer Kennesha Buycks will encourage you to embrace your home and your story so you can create mindful spaces that give life to you, your loved ones, and all who enter.
2. LORI WILDE
that red book just says the author’s name and no actual title but if you look her up, she’s all about that romance novel. here is her website if you wanna know what i mean. if you move a bit, the spine of it says “boy” so i think it maybe one of those books that has the cowboys in it!
3. Next is LIT UP, which is a black book. I’m not so sure if it’s a real book and when you search it, there are a couple of contenders. Tho i personally gravitate towards p2 since it’s black and the plot of the story is something i think XZ will enjoy!
it says out of the cubicle and into the real world, it’s like him getting out of his work cubicle years ago and discovering the world.
book overview:
Eddy Gilmore found himself on society’s fringe after being exiled from Corporate America. Despite years of higher education and exemplary service inside a cubicle’s pixelated world, he had no tangible or transferable skills to offer his community. Amazingly, failure was the door into tapping dreams and gifts that had long been ignored as impractical.
This true to life adventure is a pilgrimage into the real world, a place where neighbors make and produce things that sustain life and bring joy. When their eyes were opened to the talents all around them, Eddy and his wife discovered how to produce value themselves, and sank roots into the community. By working together, they are building a life they might never need to retire from.
4. The Interior Design Handbook
Frida Ramstedt believes in thinking about how we decorate, rather than focusing on what we decorate with. We know more today than ever before about design trends, furniture, and knickknacks, and now Frida familiarizes readers with the basic principles behind interior and styling—what looks good and, most of all, why it looks good.
The Interior Design Handbook teaches you general rules of thumb—like what the golden ratio and the golden spiral are, the proper size for a coffee table in relation to your sofa, the optimal height to hang lighting fixtures, and the best ways to use a mood board—complete with helpful illustrations. Use The Interior Design Handbook to achieve a balanced, beautiful home no matter where you live or what your style is.
5. Limits of the Known
A celebrated mountaineer and author searches for meaning in great adventures and explorations, past and present.
David Roberts, "veteran mountain climber and chronicler of adventures" (Washington Post), has spent his career documenting voyages to the most extreme landscapes on earth. In Limits of the Known, he reflects on humanity’s—and his own—relationship to extreme risk. Part memoir and part history, this book tries to make sense of why so many have committed their lives to the desperate pursuit of adventure.
In the wake of his diagnosis with throat cancer, Roberts seeks answers with sharp new urgency. He explores his own lifelong commitment to adventuring, as well as the cultural contributions of explorers throughout history: What specific forms of courage and commitment did it take for Fridtjof Nansen to survive an eighteen-month journey from a record "farthest north" with no supplies and a single rifle during his polar expedition of 1893–96? What compelled Eric Shipton to return, five times, to the ridges of Mt. Everest, plotting the mountain’s most treacherous territory years before Hillary and Tenzing’s famous ascent? What drove Bill Stone to dive 3,000 feet underground into North America’s deepest cave?
What motivates the explorers we most admire, who are willing to embark on perilous journeys and push the limits of the human body? And what is the future of adventure in a world we have mapped and trodden from end to end?
6. Eat, Drink, Nap: Bringing the House Home
The quintessential style, cooking, and home interior book from Soho House, the world's leading members' club.
Since the first Soho House opened its doors over 25 years ago, we've learnt a bit about what works. Contemporary, global yet with something quintessentially English and homely at its heart, this is Soho House style explained by its experts:
- From planning a room to vintage finds: bringing the Soho House look home.
- Our House curator's advice on how to buy, collect and hang art.
- The art of a great night's sleep: how to design the perfect bedroom.
- No-fuss recipes and chef's tips: here's how to make your favourite House dishes.
- Inside Babington: our take on country-house living. Wellies optional.
- Flip-flop glamour and poolside style from Soho House Miami Beach.
- All the secrets of cocktail hour: House tonics and barman's tips.
- Spa treatment at home, DIY facials and chocolate brownies.
Eat Drink Nap, a 300-page highly illustrated book, with a foreword from founder Nick Jones, and photography from leading food and interiors photographers Mark Seelen and Jean Cazals, shares the Soho House blueprint for stylish, modern living, the Soho House way.
7. Styled
It’s easy to find your own style confidence once you know this secret: While decorating can take months and tons of money, styling often takes just minutes. Even a few little tweaks can transform the way your room feels.
At the heart of Styled are Emily Henderson’s ten easy steps to styling any space. From editing out what you don’t love to repurposing what you can’t live without to arranging the most eye-catching vignettes on any surface, you’ll learn how to make your own style magic.
With Emily’s style diagnostic, insider tips, and more than 1,000 unique ideas from 75 envy-inducing rooms, you’ll soon be styling like you were born to do it.
8. The other book i’m seeing is WINTER TID then it cuts off so again it’s tricky to confirm what it is! My best guess is WINTER TIDE but if you google that — i can’t connect how XZ will read that lol.
EDIT: adding this one seen from the alternate MV,
The Tale of the Body Thief by Anne Rice
is a vampire novel by American writer Anne Rice, the fourth in her The Vampire Chronicles series, following The Queen of the Damned (1988). Published in 1992, it continues the adventures of Lestat, specifically his efforts to regain his lost humanity during the late 20th century.
=========
now let’s look at the CPN.
i see fans saying the style related books could be because of his work before. but he is more of a digital and design artist right? he does logos and stuff that can help their brand identity. i don’t remember him being an interior designer. there is also the eat, drink, nap which has topics on cooking and being a good host. these books are making me clown so hard! my head canon is xz is keeping himself busy ( as if he is not busy enough already ) with designing their home. his and wyb’s — if that wasn’t clear enough, that’s what i’m insinuating. if he isn’t traveling, i would imagine he is the type who just wants to spend time at home in between jobs. it is their home. their sanctuary. so xz would make sure that it is according to what they both want and that it’s stylish.
and when he is at home sipping wine, while waiting for Bobo, is he reading a LORI WILDE BOOK? lol. sexy millionaire cowboy you say? 👀👀👀👀
😂😂😂😂😂
or reading something like the LIT UP book which is more up his alley ( but again i’m not sure if this is the exact title )
what is out of place is limits of the known. out of place compared to the theme of the other books, but xz is someone who is into nature and climbing of sorts. but i haven’t seen him climb the way yibo did in ETU. the most popular cpn is that this is yibo’s contribution to the selection. or maybe he read it after yibo and liked it. OR he is also becoming interested in rock climbing — which is not a far off possibility.

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES FOR WHEN I FEEL STUCK OR BORED. most people, myself included, are prone to writer's block, and while this can be an extremely frustrating process to get to, i try to use this as an opportunity to approach it in a fun way. i thought i'd share some of my favourite activities that might be of use to other people.
create a movie library. if your muse is someone who likes movies, make a list of their favourites on letterboxd or imdb, or even serializd for those that prefer tv. you can make lists for ones they've seen and enjoyed or haven't seen but would like. i use letterboxd for this quite a bit and sometimes even add some notes within my lists detailing my muse's thoughts and reviews of the movies.
make a sideblog. i know that many people do this already, but aesthetic sideblog for your character can be extremely helpful and fun to maintain. you can build these however you like! i like to use mine to post photos that my muse would like, faceclaim content, playlists and songs, ships/dynamics inspo, headcanons, silly text posts, and a variety of other things. if you're unsure where to look for content you can post on your sideblogs, @museinspo has a variety of things for many types of characters and is a really helpful place to start. they have a great detailed tagging system to make it easier to find content best suited to your muse. some tags that you can also look through could be #character inspo, #ship inspo, and #muse inspo.
play a barbie dress up game. most people who know me can attest to how much i love this — building a closet for my characters' style. every muse is different, so this can be a fun exploration activity. pinterest is a frequently used resource, but what i like to do most often is browse resale websites like depop or poshmark because i like the variety of styles and the fact that you can find some things you might not see in every store! i have many muses who like to wear silly graphic t-shirts, handmade, vintage, and eclectic styles, so this tends to be the best place to search. you can also do this with any website that sells styles you like for your muse. i like to think of this as a dress up barbie game since that helps me maintain the fun aspect of it all.
build and decorate a barbie dreamhouse. on the topic of barbies, you can do the same activity with furniture, homewares, trinkets, toys, art and decor. build your muse their barbie dreamhouse, fill it with things they would collect and feel at home with. browse furniture websites. ikea, crate and barrel, pottery barn, anthropologie, and west elm are all great places to look for ideas. if you really want to get into it, architectural design (i particularly like this article listing recommendations for furniture retailers) and dezeen (has the added bonus of being able to search for things based on location, if you're looking for example of interior design specific to your muse's city of residence) have extensive articles on both exterior and interior design. etsy is also a great place to look for antiques, vintage style, and more eclectic items.
feed them. if your muse is a foodie or likes to cook, come up with a menu for them. read food blogs and restaurant menus, think of what they'd like if they went out for dinner or what they'd cook at home. i will sometimes make up an imaginary dinner party for muses when its applicable and plan out what they'd like to serve or be served in that situation. food can be a great way to get to know your muse because it can tell you so much about their personal tastes, their current lifestyle, and their cultural background. while food is something that is prevalent in everyone's life, different people will have different approaches to it. this can be especially fun if you look at the menus for restaurants and shops local to your muse's area! read about what's popular in their neighborhood, take the specifics of that culture into consideration.
consider history. think about the time and place in which your character was born and raised in. how would things like pop culture, trends, media, neighborhood, and society affect them? this will differ with every character's upbringing and background, so take all that into consideration as you explore resources. for example, say that your muse is inspired by something like punk subcultures in the 1990s. what music, movies, and clothing styles would have been prevalent at the time? try looking into the history of the underground scene, you can even look further back than that particular decade to understand its roots and how the subculture go to that present moment. how would current events of the time affect what's being put out there and how would the changes within the world cause your character to evolve in their mindset or interests?
study movement. often times we study physicality in terms of what the character looks like as a static image (their hair colour, face shape, clothing, etc) and less about what it looks like when they look like when they are in movement. consider things like their gait, posture, facial expressions, or even specific tics. how do they move when they're on the go and in a rush, compared to when they're confined to a room? how do they position themselves in a bed or on a couch? what does their face tell you about them when they speak? what does it not tell you? a lot of behavior and emotion is not limited to dialogue, but rather how a person composes themselves through body language. you can learn so much about someone by being observant of them even without dialogue. it can be helpful to watch videos or movies and study an actor's movements with all this in mind. i often find myself watching videos with the sound off, just to pay closer attention to body language and try to understand what they are saying without verbal communication.
feel free to reblog if any of this is helpful to you. i maintain the belief that roleplay should always be fun and the best way for me to do that is to treat it like a barbie game. remember that not all character development revolves solely around written words, but rather the environment and details you put into them.
#once again i dont know how to tag anything ever so lets just see what happens here#rp help#roleplay resources#rp resources#roleplay tips#writing tips#oc development#oc ideas#character development#rpc#rpc help#roleplay community#indie rp#rp advice#rp guide#*#tips

How do you find a sugar daddy or what did you do to get one?
First things first…real sugar babies know that real sugar daddies are not on any sugaring websites. It’s very rare when someone gets someone who’s the real deal on a website/app!

Free styling: Going out in public is the best way to meet a potential!
High end bars
Country clubs
Coffee shops by hospitals or business buildings
Golf courses
High end restaurants
Be knowledgeable: Sugar daddies love brains! I’m very into the arts, literature, philosophy, history + psychology and my potentials eat it up! Having hobbies are important as well. My hobbies include:
Creating art
Writing
Playing badminton + croquet
Horseback riding
Reading
Learning foreign languages
Take good care of yourself: Always dress well and keep your hygiene routine in motion!
Nails done
Hair kept
Perfumed + oiled
Capsule wardrobe complete
Understand the world of the upper class: I grew up in a family of doctors + professors + teachers so I grew up learning proper etiquette as a classy lady!
{I also come from a lineage of royalty so it’s naturally in my blood! 🤭}
Know your table manners
Carry polite conversations
Learn how to properly shake hands
Smile and dress well during business dinners + events
Have good hosting skills + a clean home environment
Know what you want: I tend to stick with doctors + engineers. I also typically date men from different countries! Men who I have dated include:
An interior designer for Mercedes Benz
A civil engineer
An industrial engineer
A sport scientist
Have goals: Focus on yourself, create goals and set yourself up for success!
Stay educated in school
Start a business
Get a real estate license
Understand what career you want in life + make goals to get where you want to be in life
Strict boundaries are a must: Set yourself up with high standards! Know what you want and leave when someone isn’t fulfilling you. Trust there’s someone better out there that will treat you the way you deserve to be treated!
Make a list of red flags
Make a list of the kind of person you want to date (ex: career, personality + looks)
Make a list of things you expect and will not tolerate
These are just a few tips but if there’s any interest in going the online route, I do have a few tips!
More sugar baby, spoiled girlfriend + trophy wife tips can be found on my side blog @kittyboudoir under the advice tag in my side blog bio!

Crossroads Room, Dearborn Station, Chicago
A lost Fred Harvey Restaurant in Chicago, designed by Samuel A. Marx, with murals by Edgar Miller
Fred Harvey Crossroads Room, Dearborn Station, Chicago, c. 1940, architect Samuel A. Marx. Source: Chicago History Museum
I only learned about this long-gone but exceptional moderne restaurant interior a couple of days ago, while perusing a lengthy post on the Forgotten Chicago site.
Another mostly forgotten Art Deco landmark is seen above by noted Chicago architect and art collector Samuel Marx for the Fred Harvey Crossroads Restaurant at Dearborn Station. Perhaps best known locally for the original incarnation of the legendary Pump Room at the Ambassador East Hotel (now PUBLIC Chicago) in 1938, this Marx commission included a restaurant seating 102, a 50-seat cocktail lounge, and a 31-person lunchroom. Edgar Miller, Chicago’s great and recently rediscovered artist, was commissioned for the murals that commemorated both old Chicago and the southwestern routes served by the Santa Fe Railroad. The Crossroads Room featured curving walls in each of its three rooms, chrome fixtures with indirect lighting, and a serpentine bar. Marx specially designed all the furniture. He used a wide-ranging color scheme throughout the project, including "brilliant green, reddish brown, deep chocolate brown, pigskin, Indian red, black, and white," colors that were seen in much of Santa Fe's advertising through the years. Other distinctive decorating touches included Indian and roadrunner motifs and rather bizarre round neo-Baroque wall cases containing what appear from photographs to be cactus sculptures. These unique features would no doubt have reminded patrons of the exotic destinations of the Santa Fe Railroad in the American Southwest. Although Fred Harvey was best known for promoting travel to the West and Southwest, the new spaces were also full of depictions of the history and early life of Chicago. For the 183-seat Crossroads restaurant, Miller created a large wall mural depicting early nineteenth-century pioneer life in Chicago, including a cntral rendering of Indians, fur traders, and Fort Dearborn. For the 50-seat cocktail lounge, adjacent to the main entrance, Miller illustrated early Chicago settlers along with various livestock.... Character Intro: Ichnaea (Kingdom of Ichor)
Nicknames- The Hidden Goddess by the people of Olympius
Agapitós by Anytos
Age- 36 (immortal)
Location- Phrygia, Olympius
Personality- She's an introverted, quick, & clever goddess with an exceptional attention to detail. She's also very particular and analytical. She's married & is a new first time mom.
She has the standard abilities of a goddess except shapeshifting. As the goddess of tracking her other powers/abilities include invisibility (by way of camoflauge- which also includes becoming intangible, inaudible, & inodorous), psychometry, having supersonic eyesight, enhanced smell, being able to make objects & other beings invisible, and having limited prophectic visions.
Members of her immediate family includes her husband Anytos (Titan god of anonymity & secrets), her newborn baby daughter Phyge (goddess of escape), and her stepdaughter Despoina (goddess of the arcadian mysteries, frost, winter, & shadows).
Ichnaea lives with her husband & daughter at their lakehouse estate in the state of Phrygia. They have their own private lake, a sailboat, and a stone pavilion outside. Inside the house the color scheme is mint green, gray, cream, dusty rose, & forest green. The interior design is very rustic with stone flooring, many potted woodland plants, brushed brass & wood furniture pieces, leather and burlap furniture, a carved stone coffee table, framed black & white photographs on the walls, various mounted animal antlers, as well as decorative pottery pieces. There's also two guest bedrooms. In her bedroom, there's a co-sleeper for the baby.
A piece of jewelry Ichnaea always wears is a gold locket, which has a photo of her husband and baby.
She has quite the furry brood! There's two bernese mountain dogs named Bear and Duchess as well as three german shepherds named Bruno, Bolt, & Heidi.
Ichnaea starts out her mornings with a three mile jog and a swim in the lake. She'll sometimes have a session of tai chi.
A typical breakfast for her is a small bowl of cereal- her favorites being the Golly Grains vanilla spice & the Earthly Harvest raisin crunch with almondmilk. She also likes banana nut oatmeal (topped with peanut butter & dark chocolate chips), lightly buttered chia seed muffins, toasted whole wheat kalamata olive bagels spread with tzatziki cream cheese, and her husband's shakshuka.
Honeydew, kiwis, apples, bananas, figs, & apricots are her favorite fruits.
Ichnaea has always kept a low profile in the pantheon and public. She doesn't mind her status as a minor deity. Ichnaea just does her best to serve all beings in the realm, pay respect to the crown, and be there for those she cares about.
At home she prefers walking barefoot, but when outside, her preferred footwear are sandals & flats.
A go-to drink is her husband's homemade banana-olive juice. She also likes mineral water, limeade, mint tea, ginger ale, vanilla almondmilk, homemade honeydew-kale smoothies, lychee juice, cucumber & mint flavored botanical beer, orange juice, classic martinis, sparkling green sangrias, white wine, and peartinis. Her usuals from The Roasted Bean includes a large scorching hot dark roast coffee (with plenty of sugar) & an olympian sized iced green tea. She hasn't drunk coffee or alcohol since her pregnancy.
She's not on any social media websites, including the most popular one- Fatestagram.
Her favorite color is light green.
She keeps her straight shoulder length black hair in a low ponytail or tight bun. Ichnaea swears by the olive oil Glory's Crown hair products- the shampoo, conditioner, & hair gloss.
Ichnaea views her relationship with her husband as "The greatest love story ever whispered." Their love grew over time, starting up from when they met on the deserted Mt. Othrys at a small get together with other deities celebrating the anniversary of the end of the Titanomachy. She saved all the letters & love poems Anytos sent her during their correspondence while he was living in Colchis at the time. Ichnaea says that his serious and intense eyes remind her of embered coals. Ichnaea & Anytos were married in a small intimate ceremony in the woodlands. There were only twenty guests in attendance. She carried a bouquet of wildflowers & lilies and wore a pastel light green strapless silk ruffle dress. Her best friend Ioke (goddess of pursuit, tumult, & battle rout) was her maid of honor.
Her favorite frozen treat is pistachio ice cream. She also likes lime sorbet.
Ichnaea's relationship with her stepdaughter hasn't been so seemless. Despoina isn't outwardly disrespectful, but always maintains a certain emotional distance. Ichnaea considers it a treat if her stepdaughter utters more than five words to her. Recently, to get on Despoina's good side, Ichnaea gifted her the latest hardcover mystery novel (with splayed edges) written by Phoebe (Titaness of prophecy, the moon, radiant intellect, & mystery). The Silver Titaness signed the copy herself.
Her favorite desserts are pistachio baklava, key lime pie, and hummingbird cake.
The spinach & mandarin orange salad topped with dried cranberries, pomegranate seeds, toasted almonds, and sweet sesame seed dressing is her favorite thing to get at The Bread Box.
Ichnaea has been enjoying her journey into motherhood. She takes joy in all the little things- the sleepless nighs, the constant feedings and diaper changes, & counting the tiny breaths the baby inhales and exhales. Leto (Titaness of demurity & motherhood) did the maternity photoshoot as well as the birth announcement photoshoot. Ichnaea decided on a home birth with Gaia (goddess of the earth) being her midwife. Ioke was also there for support. After 18 hours of labor, Ichnaea pushed out the most perfect being she ever seen- a six pound baby girl with a thick mop of black hair, a snub nose, cherub cheeks, hazel brown eyes, and dark olive skin. She made Ioke Phyge's godmother, or noná.
She's exclusively breastfeeding & is currently on maternity leave from her job. Ichnaea made note of Phyge's milestones at an appointment with Paean (goddess of physicians) at nine and a half weeks old.
Before becoming pregnant with her daughter, Ichnaea worked in the country's defensive department in the SAR branch (search and rescue) alongside Soteria (goddess of safety). She also worked in Olympius' military department, becoming one of the few decorated & celebrated female snipers in the realm's history.
The alarming number of missing Athenians in Crete has been a real headscratcher for her.
In the pantheon she's also good friends with Lelantos (Lantos) (Titan god of air, the unseen, & hunting), Apheleia (goddess of simplicity), Nárkosi (goddess of sedation), Lethe (Titaness of forgetfulness, oblivion, & concealment), Damia (goddess of naturalness), Elais (goddess of oil), Dyssebeia (goddess of ungodliness & impiety), Limos (goddess of starvation & famine), Androktasia (Andi) (goddess of battlefield slaughter), Ptocheia (goddess of beggary), and Proioxis (goddess of attack, onrush, & battlefield pursuit). She's also friends with Lantos' wife Periboia.
Ichnaea was the official mentor to Britomartis (goddess of mountains, hunting, & fishing nets).
She's also fond of Lantos' daughter Aura (goddess of the breeze).
Ichnaea has traveled throughout the country (mainly New Olympus) to see her friends.
Her and Ioke has been in attendance to the Olympian Grand Prix, the most popular & exclusive motor racing event in the entire realm!
She even visited Nárkosi at the commune she lives in with Pan (god of the wild, satyrs, shepherds, & rustic music).
For Christmas, Ioke gifted Ichnaea with the Diamond Ave. jeweled camera clutch, as a nod to her best friend's growing interest in photography.
Lately, she's been getting into pressure point martial arts.
She's been developing a bit more of a sweet tooth, enjoying the green grape flavored saltwater taffy from Confection Carousel.
Ichnaea loves listening to alternative, grunge, rock, and classical music. A new favorite has been the music of Moros (god of doom).
Her all time favorite meal is her husband's lentil stew with saffron rice & roasted artichokes.
In her free time Ichnaea enjoys archery, basketball, hiking, boxing, football (soccer), reading, mountain climbing, sewing, going to the spa, knitting, mixed martial arts, cooking, and spending time with family.
"To walk in nature is to witness a thousand miracles."
