the thing I love most about the show is how much it’s revitalized the fandom bc so many people have gotten into the books from the show and tumblr is livelier and the YouTube breakdowns are never ending the happiness I feel can only be found in dogs when they go to heaven

big fandoms be wild.. its always pick a side . Its Team Aang/ team Zuko. Team Caitvi / Team Jayce/Vic/ Team Blitz/ Team Stolas. Then there's me who's like everyone. or likes nearly every ship.. there isnt anyone i hate in atla/arcane/hb.

I've said it a zillion times but with my bojack fandom even when we don't all ship the same.. its just nice we get along.. suppose the show made a good point with trying to ram into peoples head the message itw as going for. cause its the lest judgmental fandom i've been in

big fandoms=blah small fandoms=peace..

or its my empathic/sympathic nature where i look at characters through a lens of sympathy but not trying to excuse actions.

but still smalls fandoms.. peace..

Hi, I have only recently started writing elvis and austinelvis fanfic (after seeing the amazing movie- little late I know!) and I'm finding it hard to get anyone to read it. You seem to know lots of amazing writers and your work gets mentioned a lot but I notice on one of your posts that you only started writing a couple of months ago? Do you have any advice for someone just starting out for how to get notes and readers?

First of all, lovely anon, welcome! As a crazed reader, I'm always on the lookout for more fics to read, so I hope I come across yours. You can always come off anon and help me out?

Other than that, I'm worried you have come to the wrong place. I am not someone who is remotely qualified to give anyone advice on getting notes and readers! Sorry!

But here's some unsolicited advice: Find your people.

Read other people's fics, as many as you can, and find other writers who inspire you, or make you laugh, or even made you tingle. Tell them! Comment on other people's fics and tell them what you loved. If you're lucky, you'll make friends who will not only keep you drowning in gorgeously written stories of all genres, but you'll have people that have your back, and that keep you motivated and cheer you on when you're feeling uninspired. Don't forget to engage with anyone who takes the time to comment on your writing too! Something in your brain has made a connection with them, make the most of it!

I mean, you already know these people have good taste!
