You want to know my definition of Moral Insanity. My definition of Moral Insanity is doing the same thing over and over but somehow mysteriously expecting the results to be any different. The American Educational System is broken and has been broken for a very long time. As always, there are two major political parties in America, and as always, the two major parties have divergent worldviews about the best practice to educate their populace.
The Democratic Party, aka the Party of Death, continues to suppress attempts at allowing School Choice even in the face of numerous empirical studies that demonstrate School Choice is a far superior choice for our youth. I enumerate in my video School Choice delivers in three profound ways:1) School choice improves academic outcomes and saves taxpayers money. 2) School choice reduces racial segregation and benefits the poor. 3) School choice increases the quality of public schools.
In an ironic twist, we see time and time again the very Democrats who insist the populace send their children to failing public school NEVER send THEIR children to public schools: Barak Obama's children never went to public schools YET Obama's adamantly opposed school vouchers Hilary Clinton's daughter did not attend public schools, YET Clinton adamantly opposed school vouchers Nancy Pelosi' children did not attend public schools, YET Pelosi adamantly opposes school vouchers Barak Obama's guardians ensured he obtained the best schooling available Michelle Obama's parents fought the Chicago Public School Administration to ensure Michelle attended the best magnet program in the Chicago Public School System.
One has to truly wonder how it is possible that African American Evangelicals continue to align themselves with the Democratic Party to advance political platforms that cripple our inner-cities. America, arguably the greatest nation in the world, ranks 25th out of developed nations when the scores of math, reading, and science are averaged. One of the biggest cross-national tests is the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), which measures reading ability, math and science literacy, and other key skills among 15-year-olds in dozens of developed and developing countries every three years. The most recent PISA results, from 2018, placed the U.S. 37th out of 78 countries in Math, 13th in Reading, and 17th in Science. Among the 35 members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, which sponsors the PISA initiative, the U.S. ranked 30th in math and 19th in science in 2015.
The Republican Party, on the other hand, advocates the Principle of Subsidiarity. Subsidiarity is the Principle of social organization that holds that social and political issues should be dealt with at the most immediate (or local) level that is consistent with their resolution.
The Republican Party has its problem, as any human enterprise will possess, but I can get behind the Republican Platform in most cases. The Democratic Party Platform I flatly reject in most, if not all, cases concerning issues of moral significance.
In one of my prior YouTube videos, I advanced the argument the culture elites from the Left were "coming after our children." My fellow Evangelicals, make no mistake, this is a war after hears and minds of the next generation. The warning was heralded as far back as 2004; it was then Dr. Albert Mohler wrote an article "America’s Educational Crisis- How Did it Happen." It was in this article that Dr. Mohler detailed the playbook from the Left to change our educational system from one of educating our youth to education being used as a means for social reform. This new paradigm was the brainchild of a radical atheist by the name of John Dewey.
I encourage you to read Dr. Mohler's entire article (https://albertmohler.com/2004/08/16/americas-educational-crisis-how-did-it-happen), but I enclose just a small sample of his erudite analysis:"During the last half of the twentieth century, public schools were transformed from agents of education to agents of social change. The roots of this development go back to the early decades of the century when the philosophy of John Dewey began to shape the education schools and teacher colleges. Dewey, a militant atheist and humanist philosopher were one of the most influential proponents of pragmatism as the American philosophy. In Dewey's view, the schools should become the great engines for producing American citizens.
But Dewey's conception of citizenship was directly at odds with the values held by the vast majority of Americans, and certainly those held by America's parents. Dewey believed that the American experience in democracy--as understood through his radical vision--required that children be stripped of particularity and melded into the great monoculture he and his elitist colleagues would create. At least part of their concern was directed at ethnicity, with successive waves of immigration bringing children into the public-school classrooms."For all of the legitimate criticism of former POTUS Donald Trump, I can agree with him is what we (African Americans) have to lose by trying something different. Because what we (African Americans) are currently doing IS clearly NOT working. The United States of America is being outperformed academically by countries like China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, not to mention nations like Poland, Ireland, New Zealand, and Belgium. As the economy becomes more and more globally connected, our subsequent generations will fall further and further behind other nations.  This does not bode well for America's future.
Yet, despite this overwhelming evidence, what happens?  African American Evangelicals continue to align themselves with the one party that is actively doing everything in their power to block School Choice.
That, my friend, is PURE INSANITY!!! Education has been and will ALWAYS be the key to economic empowerment. If you want to ensure subsequent generations have no real means for hope, then go right ahead and continue to align yourself with the Democratic Party. As I detail in this video, the quintessential definition of INSANITY is to do the same thing over and over and somehow expect DIFFERENT results.
Tell me how that works out for you. I left the Democratic Party in 1988, and I have not looked back. My question to YOU: the African American Evangelical, why are you still with this Party of Death?Check out my video, subscribe, and share with your family and friends: https://youtu.be/ckLaOuBrLNw know what is INSANE? Rejecting School Choice and expecting different...

it has been a long time since i last journalled, mainly because life hasn’t been the most interesting ever since i graduated from eighteen years of formal education straight into the most mundane job in the world. also whenever i journal online i get this feeling of anxiety because it feels like i have an obligation to reflect myself as a happy go lucky person with the most positive attitude and mindset. today (and through a certain amount of anonymity) i will finally get down to jotting my emotions down again, before it gets the better of me.
i remember clearly how whenever there were those choose-one-word-to-describe-yourself questions i would always pick “positive” or “happy-go-lucky”, but those days are long gone. i think things started going downhill the day i realised that i was going to do accountancy in uni - and move on to an accountancy related career thereafter. eighteen years of young me anticipating what the future potentially had to offer was honestly a flop, sort of like a misleading movie trailer with the fanciest buildup. everything i said or did in my whole lifetime led up to the disappointing moment when i chose to enroll in accountancy at nus. school was a chore - getting into a straight As course without straight As meant that i was automatically in the bottom quartile of the cohort, let alone it being a course that i despised. there was so much stigma against accountancy that media portrayed, how it is the most boring job in the world but it pays well (which i now learnt that the latter is completely bullshit). when i was younger i didn’t know what i wanted to do when i grew up, but i definitely knew that i did not want to be an office worker with a 9 to 5 job. i mean at least i got half of it right - it is most definitely NOT a 9 to 5 job.
i remember the first half of uni being my most depressing days, even though i often portrayed myself as a motivated and positive minded individual in school and in hall. my junior college friends were ganging up against me, i wasn’t enjoying what i was learning and in turn, this led to getting poor results in school. i recall one particular night, probably during the peak of my depressed state (that oxymoron) i broke down so hard in front of my mom. i was talking to my parents about how i was forced to do accountancy by them, mainly my father. being the stubborn self-righteous asian dad he was (and still is), he said, no full-on scolded me with something along the lines of “hey, we gave you the choices, you were the one who applied for them in the end, don’t go blaming on us when things don’t go your way. what i wanted to do was something in the field of design or life sciences, which might or might not be in Singapore’s big three unis. design? oh the job market is saturated. life sciences? oh you’ll be stuck with research (which now that i think about it isn’t half bad at all, well, if you compare it to accountancy). things that i wanted to do slowly got struck off the list. what was i left with? dentistry, pharmacy, architecture - all of which are straight As courses and the closest things there were to arts or life sciences. and then we have accountancy and business - literally the only courses left after striking out sciences, (and the two that i actually strongly chose not to do)  computing and engineering. i KNOW if i did end up applying for courses that my dad struck out, i would have to face years and years of “why didn’t you do what i told you to” or “you will regret this, i told you so”. i was a naive kid, one that did not dare to stand up to her parents or even have her own opinions at home because any opinion that did not match my father’s would just lead to scolding and a bitter look of disdain from my mother. but what good does being an abiding child bring when all i did was cry myself to sleep almost every night knowing that the remaining of my youth has been ruined by the very people whom i thought only wanted the best for me?
being around motivated people has made me reflect upon myself and realise how little i have achieved in my life. while i have to give myself credit for pushing through 4 years of doing a bachelors in something that wasnt my first, second, third but fourth choice, i should probably stop giving the excuse of being forced to do something i didnt want to as a reason not to excel in a field. everyone started off the same. we are of the same age now yet look how different we are. definitely the environment people grow up in plays a part in defining their character. but what i do is i take the environment to blame. but blaming literally does not do anything. still leaves me as a person who has much i want to achieve yet not taking steps to achieve them. i am constantly in search of a catalyst, but the catalyst is myself after all. i have been pushing back everything and i am already 24. thinking back (as i always do), i think about how i should have done this and should have done that. and think of all the regrets i have for not starting on something while i was younger. but who says i am not still young? being around motivated people really makes me want to be as motivated as them. what do they have that i do not have? literally nothing. there are people out there who start off worse than me but are doing so much better now. i have said it many times but maybe this time i mean it for once - it is time for a change in attitude. sure i am not enjoying what i am doing now. but who says i cant excel in it? otherwise, who says i cant make a switch? i am always so worried of stability that i end up being so stable. what do i get in the end of it all? retirement? will i be happy then, knowing of all the other things i could have done in my lifetime but didnt? like how i look back now and think of all i could have done while i was still in school and had no responsibilities? what i have now is time and health.

Will National Education Policy 2020 transform the future generation Subscribe - https://ift.tt/2BvgxbE Facebook - https://ift.tt/3hRxoWV Twitter - https://twitter.com/EducationCaree6 Pinterest - https://ift.tt/2YpDlCG Tumblr - https://ift.tt/2NmT92U Blog - https://ift.tt/2NhbzC6 #Exam #Recruitment #Result #School #College #Study The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 introduced recently is set to change the face of education ecosystem in the coming time. In the coming time, we may also hope to see bright young adults with innovative approach towards work and life, instead of pawns obsessing over marks and mugging-up bookish knowledge.Thirty-four years ago, in 1986 when the Rajiv Gandhi-led government changed the education policy, the focus was on ‘operation blackboard’ to strengthen the primary school system. Keeping in view the changing demands, the NEP 2020 now aims to offer skill-oriented education. What appears to be an idealistic policy, will need proper implementation to help the youth make wise choices.Change is possible if all the measures introduced in NEP 2020 is implemented in a structured way. Kiran Hazarika, member of University Grants Commission (UGC), Principal, Tengakhat College, Assam, who was associated with the formulation of NEP is hopeful of the positive outcome in another decade. “This will lead to liberal education in the coming times. We will save the youth from unnecessarily running after redundant degrees,” he tells Education Times.“The transformation of education will modify the psyche of the coming generation as we will have an educated population armed with innovative thinking, aware of the skills needed in the local market, research-oriented with an ability to give potential output,” says Hazarika. Emphasising on equity and inclusivity, the real outcome of the NEP would be realised when the children in poor and rural areas get access to education. Hazarika is hopeful in the coming decade more students from underrepresented sections, minority community will find way to education institutes.Knowledge HubAcademics have hailed the policy as an important step to transform India into a knowledge hub. “Besides incorporating the ethos of Indian philosophy, it has also incorporated sustainable development goals in the curriculum at the undergraduate level. Inclusive education right from foundation till the student reaches a professional level will help in long run,” says TG Sitharam, Director, IIT Guwahati.Entrepreneurial mindsetWith most sectors moving to the digital platform, India needs to create an army of tech-enabled youngsters willing to take calculated risks. “Emphasis on critical thinking, creativity and stronger conceptual understanding will encourage students to become self-motivated learners. This is much needed for students to acquire skills that will prepare them for the unseen jobs of tomorrow,” says Byju Raveendran, Founder & CEO, BYJU'S.Since Indian students were branded as the product of rote-learning system, systematic change towards innovation may prove beneficial in the long run. “Increased focus on the application of a few core concepts rather than shallow memorisation of a vast syllabus is much needed. Having championed the inclusion of 21st century skills in the curriculum, things will change, however, much depends on how it is executed,” says Sriram Subramanian, CEO, Callido Learning, Mumbai.Multi-disciplinary learningAs the NEP emphasises on flexibility to the students by offering the exit-re-entry option in HEIs, credit transfer across universities to find the best fit and making all streams equal has come as a breather for students who were getting suffocated of the water-tight compartmentalisation. “Rote learning is passé and with vocational training making headway into mainstream curriculum, a mechanical/electrical engineer can finally fix a motorcycle/fan. Universities will no longer just survive on students’ tuition fees but research funding from corporates and the government will gain prominence,” says Rajesh Panda, founder & CEO, Corporate Gurukul, Singapore. “The initiative of putting equal emphasis on arts and science subjects will give students a chance to actualise their capabilities. This will encourage development of creative and artistic temperaments along with the scientific,” says Shankar UV, director, The Sports School, Bengaluru.“The biggest highlig..

Modern Montessori International (MMI), a Singaporean company specializing in early childhood education, opened its largest overseas pre-school campus at the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) in southern Binh Duong province in mid-2017. The new campus was built with initial investment of $2 million and is the company’s first in Vietnam directly owned by MMI Singapore. According to Mr. Steven Kho, Country Manager of MMI Vietnam, they intend to almost double student numbers to 170 by September.
A range of new education methods have found their way to Vietnam over recent years.
MMI Vietnam is one of many schools offering the Montessori method of education. For the past ten years, people in Vietnam have begun to refer to Montessori as a great educational method for children, especially those aged six years or less. A wide range of investment models for education in accordance with the new method have been developed at all levels to meet demand among parents. New programs Montessori is a method of education that is based on self-directed activity, hands-on learning, and collaborative play. In traditional education, adults decide what children need to learn and the ability to retain and reproduce information is used as a measure of academic success. The teacher is the active provider of information and children are passive receivers. In Montessori classrooms, meanwhile, children make creative choices in their learning, while the classroom and the teacher offer age-appropriate activities to guide the process. While parents in Hanoi know about Montessori schools such as Sakura Montessori School, Sunrise Kids, and MON Montessori School, those in Ho Chi Minh City are more familiar with Montessori International School of Vietnam, WonderKids Montessori School, and others. The method has also spread to other cities and provinces, such as Hai Phong, Binh Duong, Quang Ninh, and Thai Binh. Ms. Le Minh Trang, a 29-year-old in Hanoi’s Nam Tu Liem district, has a daughter studying at Sakura Montessori in the Dich Vong new urban area in Cau Giay district. “She is just over two years old but I can see she has become much more independent after studying at Sakura,” she said. “She likes to be independent rather than asking for my help, singing and reading poems she learned in class.” STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is also a popular education program in Vietnam at the higher education level. Its curricula are based on the idea of educating students in those four specific disciplines with an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teach the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications. To develop the method, during the 2016-2017 academic year the British Council in Vietnam worked with the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) to implement a pilot project entitled “Applying the UK STEM Approach in the Vietnam Context in 2016-2017”. The project featured 15 State-owned and private secondary schools and high schools in five provinces in the north of Vietnam. Ms. Tran Phuong Nga, an eleventh grader at The Olympia School, one of the 15, said that when there is a problem that cannot be understood it is explained by experiments, as a way to inspire the students. “If you have the money, you can buy the materials to conduct the experiments,” she said. “And if you don’t have much money, you can take advantage of older equipment,” she said. On May 4 last year, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc issued a directive on tackling the challenges posed by Industry 4.0, including solutions for enhancing STEM education in high schools. Besides Montessori and STEM, another method providing knowledge in social sciences and soft skills training has also received a great deal of attention from parents and students in recent times. These life skills training centers, summer camps, and army training camps are well-suited and professionally-invested by the private sector and have attracted large numbers of students. For example, established in 2011, the Asia Pacific Talent Youth Training Center (ATY) has conducted 438 major and minor programs, including military semesters and more intensive training such as Hi! Teacher, Teen Leadership Training, and Living Strong, among others. Mr. Luong Dung Nhan, Deputy Director of Training at ATY, told VET that modern life significantly reduces the amount of time parents spend with their children, and children’s study time also accounts for a very high proportion of their lives. “This leads to a lack of opportunities for children to explore their own abilities, to understand and master their emotions, to handle the diverse needs of life,” he said. “This is the main reason we have introduced such programs.” Solid prospects Education has always been given great importance in Vietnam and education development is listed among the top seven foreign investment promotion categories in the country. Demand for sending children to an international learning environment for a higher quality education is on the rise, making the market more attractive for investors. Recent research from Taylor Nelson (TNS) showed that the highest expenditure by Vietnamese people is on education, accounting for 47 per cent of the total. Families are clearly increasing their investment in the education of their children, making the private education market quite robust. “Parents are now choosing private schools for their children because they want a greater choice of good education programs,” Ms. Nguyen Thi Kieu Oanh, Chairwoman of the Canadian International School, told VET. Nearly 60 per cent of Vietnam’s population of some 95 million were under 35 years of age as at 2017. With more disposable income than in previous years, young Vietnamese, with the support of their parents, are eager to obtain the skills and knowledge required by employers. Companies, meanwhile, are taking advantage of this newly-skilled and highly-educated population. Mr. T Chandroo, CEO and Chairman of the MMI Group, told local media that the reason behind the expansion in Vietnam was the market’s enormous potential, with the ratio of the population aged below 35 promising current and future demand for early childhood education. “Rising income levels and growing affluence have also led to an increase in young professionals with higher purchasing power who wish to provide their children with the best learning opportunities,” he said. Investors can also find new opportunities from new government policy. Education institutions registered to operate for less than 20 years are no longer obliged to build their own facilities and are allowed to rent suitable schools, buildings or workshop areas for at least five years. Investors are also allowed to expand their brand by opening other campuses in the same city or elsewhere. It’s also worth noting that Vietnam remains one of the best destinations for foreign investment in Southeast Asia. In an interview with local media, Ms. Tran Thi Phi Yen, Executive Director of the IvyPrep Institute, offering pre-university training under US standards in Vietnam, said the country’s political stability and economic growth are behind the increasing investment in education. “The capital businesses invest in the sector is still modest compared to other sectors, so education is a fertile market for investors seeking opportunities,” she said. Figures provided by the Ministry of Planning and Investment’s Foreign Investment Agency show that Vietnam had attracted some $761.4 million in foreign direct investment (FDI) via 386 projects in the education and training sector as at February. Demand for a high-quality education is reaching new heights, providing favorable opportunities for foreign investors to enter the market. Obstacles to overcome Education is an attractive sector for investment in Vietnam given the country is in need of international-standard learning environments. Though programs like Montessori, STEM and others are quite attractive, they must address a host of challenges, including the fact that they’re a new concept. Mr. Nhan from ATY said that while there are many new programs available, the number of students attending is still low, due to educational models like military semesters being extracurricular activities that can only be attended during the student’s free time. Fees are also a matter of concern. “I have two children. My family’s monthly income is about VND30 million ($1,300), so all our spending must be carefully calculated,” said Ms. Trang. Monthly pre-school fees at MMI Vietnam are around $600, for example, which are out of reach for most middle-income families. Though investors can find new opportunities offered by new government policy, there are also some legal issues that need to be considered. According to Decree No. 73/2012ND-CP, dated November 15, 2012, only foreign children can attend international pre-schools. Vietnamese children under five years old are not allowed to enjoy any form of general education provided by foreign investors. Regarding teacher qualifications, the decree stipulates that foreign teachers must have at least five years of experience before they can teach at Vietnamese education institutions or at foreign-invested schools, colleges and universities.

singapore job consultants
youtube
A lot of highly qualified and trained youth are unemployed these days. There could be numerous reasons behind this. Firstly, population explosion has led to too many young people. Secondly, mushrooming of engineering and medicine colleges which have left aspiring students in a dilemma over career options. Thirdly, parental and peer pressure over professional choices. This has led to a youth which is qualified in only a particular set of requirements while the industry needs a different set of qualifications altogether. There is a sudden gap between the student and industry.
singapore job consultants can play an important role in this regard and help bridge this gap. These consultants not only offer the right set of opportunities but also help in assisting through training programs. Several steps of interviews are conducted, which include group discussions and personality tests, and then the right candidate is chosen. Depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience, the relevant opportunity is offered. Hence, a consultant's responsibility is not just of finding the right job but also the right employee for that opportunity. But, being a consultant can be a daunting and challenging job in itself. To refer to various companies, organize a list of the several employment opportunities and then interview to select the right candidates could be a long stressful process. A consultant needs to invest a lot of time, energy and efforts into this job of finding jobs for other people.
Some of the major responsibilities of a consultant include-constantly find new businesses from client companies and update the list of openings; acquire an in-depth knowledge of the specific requirements of the client, which include the job description, salary package, location of work etc. and maintain a thorough database of candidates by managing a cordial relationship with colleges and training firms. Also, consultants need to reach their targets of filling the vacancies successfully. Meeting such targets will not only ensure a good service but also build a loyal relationship with the clients.
Maintaining a cordial relationship with potential employee sources like colleges, training firms and research institutes can help in the long run. This will ensure the staffing company gets the right applications which are crucial in fulfilling the objective of filling the vacancies. The consultant is also responsible for designing a revised and thorough program for the selection process. Every step of the selection process needs to be thoroughly explained to the candidates so that they can prepare themselves accordingly.
Tumblr media
Balancing the relationship between companies and candidates can be tough at times. Hence, it is good to present the client with the candidate's appropriate qualification with experience and accordingly present the candidate with the selection process terms & conditions and their responsibilities at the client company. Also, both the parties involved need to be suggested on handling the salary packages, pay rates, training programs and career progression in the future. Maintaining the balance between the employers and the employees is vital for a consultant's career. The best way to do this is to develop a firm bond of trust and faith with both the communities.
