don’t mind me I’m just reminiscing? thinking about the past?

#was thinking about how I don’t think I’ve ever gotten exactly what I wished for for christmas growing up #like the only time I can remember is when I was 12 and my parents got me tickets to one direction #but besides that like I’ve never gotten anything I specifically asked for on my lists #so I just like stopped asking for things and would tell people to get me whatever they think I’d like #idk makes me kinda sad ;/#whew and let’s not forget the shared gifts I’d get from other family members #since me and my sister are only three years apart they’d get us one gift and the same applied for our birthdays at times too #ridículos #here’s the catch though I’ve noticed that she’d get better gifts for any occasion where gifts are a norm #bc she’s like white and my family practically praised her for just existing #I doubt it was intentional but all the colorist comments growing up really fucked with me for a bit 😅#anyways how I got from never getting what I ask for to colorism who knows #anyways just thinking bc like since I’ve turned 18 my parents stopped getting me like gifts with any effort? on Christmas Eve to day (depend #ing) they’ll tell me that my gift is a <<shopping spree>> and no it’s not an actual shopping soreee #what they mean is they want to take me to get two outfits for the workplace #like it’s nice but it’s not what I want????#so I just give up and say ok thank you so much!!!! bc I’m a people pleaser and I know they’re trying and they think they’re doing what’s #best but it’s not to me at least #and I know it sounds like I’m bratty and like what parents get their 23 y/o gifts anyways? and I should be lucky that my parents are even #caring enough for all that and that I have a good relationship with them and what not #and I should be grateful for what I have #which I am I definitely recognize all of that it’s just that like idk #I’ve never actually felt seen by anyone? like no one’s gotten me things based on what I say I like in conversation #idk if it’s just me as a person but I remember what people tell me they like and hold onto it for future reference #idk whatever it’s not a big deal I work now and make my own money I can get the things I want #sorry for ruining anyone’s holiday cheer or any good vibe #personal rant #personal

there’s something extremely extremely creepy about taking an actor that you have known since they were 13 years old, only JUST a teenager, and making them kiss a fully grown woman the second that they turned a legal adult.

Steve Blackman already has a ton of shit out against him which came out recently so it unfortunately doesn’t surprise me that he would write something like this but it makes me genuinely concerned for everything behind the scenes.

There has been a HUGE problem in the Umbrella Academy fandom since season ONE when Aidan was a 13-14 year old of people writing insanely disgusting stuff and defending it because his character was mentally an adult but oh my god did they make it worse. You’d think they’d protect actor & character by avoiding any romantic interaction but instead you have him kiss an actress 15 years older than him. The age gap being the age that he was when they filmed season two. Quite honestly I feel that if he could’ve done this seasons previously and gotten away with it then he definitely would’ve done it, given the jokes that are actively made.

Quite honestly may Steve Blackman never work again if this is how he treats his actors because this is awful. I’m not even done with the season but that gave me very little desire to continue and this show has been important to me in ways I can’t explain. Maybe I am blowing this out of proportion but it feels so insanely creepy and horrific to me and I needed to rant.

he'll even consult the opinions of his fellow teammates, taking every chance he has to shove his phone into hiori or kurona's face, asking what they thought of a different shade of pink for the 4th time in a row. they might be a tiny bit sick of him constantly fawning over you, him constantly talking about you to them, but that doesn't mean he'll ever stop; over his dead body he wouldn't.

with the ring of a doorbell, you find a delivery worker with a large bouquet of multi-colored tulips on your doorstep. he asks, "from an isagi yoichi?" you smile in response, thanking him and taking the bouquet into your arms. the bouquet came with a small note attached, reading, "roses are red, violets are blue, no matter what flower, i choose you!"

bonus — your parents constantly tease you for the comically large bouquet you got from yoichi, and you still have no clue how he had the money to buy and ship a bouquet of that size !!
