The first time Sheldon Cooper graced TV screens in 2007, the star who would carry on the character’s legacy wasn’t even born yet, but Young Sheldon’s Iain Armitage isn’t so little anymore as the star portraying a boy genius prepares to bid adieu to viewers and the role originated by Jim Parsons on The Big Bang Theory.
“Big Bang came first, but it’s later in the canon of the series,” the 15-year-old Armitage notes. “It’s funny because, in a way, our end is their show’s beginning.” And while details surrounding the finale episodes remain secretive, Big Bang fans have a big crossover to look forward to with Parsons and Mayim Bialik reprising their roles onscreen as Sheldon and Amy for the first time since 2019 (Parsons has provided narration for the prequel since its 2017 debut).
Bill Inoshita / 2024 Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. All Rights Reserved
“That was always our hope, that we could find a way,” executive producer Steve Holland says of bringing Parsons and Bialik into the onscreen fold with Young Sheldon. “It’s a little tricky because the show takes place 20 or 30 years in the past, so it was figuring out the best way to make that happen where it made sense for the show.” Even with the presence of familiar faces, the finale will focus on the Texas family at the heart of this comedy.
“It’s going to be a bit of an emotional roller coaster,” Holland admits as he reveals, “We’re really trying to close the gap on Sheldon’s life in Texas before he moves to California and starts the life that we pick up on 10 years later in Big Bang Theory.”
As fans who tuned into the penultimate episodes know by now, Cooper family patriarch George Sr. (Lance Barber) tragically died after having a heart attack offscreen, and based on the back-to-back final episodes titled “Funeral” and “Memoir,” there’s sure to be some tearjerker moments.
Regarding how he hopes fans will feel, Armitage says, “I would like this ending to be satisfying, especially for fans of The Big Bang Theory.” He says, “[I want them to watch and] really feel like it has come full circle because I think a show like this is only as satisfying as its ending. And Big Bang‘s ending was so incredible. And now in Young Sheldon, we’ve been able to hint to Sheldon and Amy having kids and having a wonderful life together. And so I hope this ending will be just as satisfying as that.”
As for Armitage, he isn’t opposed to revisiting the character that made him a household name. “I’d be honored to. I love playing Sheldon so much,” the actor gushes. While there’s already another spinoff, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, in the works surrounding Sheldon’s brother Georgie (Montana Jordan) and his wife Mandy (Emily Osment), Armitage floats another possible idea.
“Maybe Mr. Jim and I, they could do some sort of AI merge of us and make an even older Sheldon. I don’t know. We’ll see.”

A Teller Meets A Dutton
Overview
John sends his youngest daughter "Elsa" to California to meet with Elliott Oswald about some horses, that he is interested in; but she has car trouble and has to go to Teller-Morrow.
Disclaimer
I don't own any of the characters, this will be a one shot; if anyone wants to turn it into a story they may. But please give me some credibility for the idea.
"Well dad he had at least two horses that would be worth the money," El spoke to John on the phone. "If it's only a couple I'll just wait to see what Tavis has." "They are still worth the money, especially with their bloodlines." There was a moment of silence "if you think they are worth it, I will trust your judgment."
All at once the engine started to make a knocking noise, "dad I'll call you back before I leave on the plane; this car is making a strange sound." I pulled the car over in front of the barbershop, I got out and went inside.
"Excuse me could you tell me if there is a garage close by, my car is making a knocking noise and I want to get it looked at." The barber turned to me and said, "Teller-Morrow down the street is the only garage in town." Smiling I offered a thank you, and left the building.
I found the garage with no problem, and pulled up infront of the office. When I walked in I saw a older lady with dark hair and highlights sitting at the desk. "Hi I am Gemma, can I help you?" She asked "hopefully, my rental is making a knocking sound; and I don't want to get halfway to the airport and it die."
She smirked a small smile, "fill this paperwork out; and I'll have one of the guys take a look." I handed her the keys, and filled out all the information the car rental gave me. She came back inside and sat back down, "so where are you from?" "Montana" she made a humming sound.
"So what brought you to our tiny small town?" I lifted a blond brow "you ask all your customers their life stories?" She chuckled "only the interesting looking ones," I laughed at that "I was here to look at some horses."
The next thing I know to door swings open to reveal a tall, well built, blond, clear blue eyed, and probably one of the best looking men I have ever seen. "I am going to assume you drove that fire hazard in here" he said. "Is it that bad?" "Darlin your lucky it didn't catch on fire with you driving it."
"Is there a car rental place in town?" "There is, Jax would you mind taking her, and I'll call your rental place to come and take this hunk of junk back." "OK, I'll take you in the tow truck" said Jax.
I gatherd my stuff, and followed Jax to the truck. I turned around to say buy to Gemma to see several of the men trying to look at me without looking obvious. I smiled at Jax "can they be anymore obvious?" He laughed "they can't help themselves around a beautiful woman."
He drove me to the rent a car place, and we made idle chat. But when we got there he stopped me, "so do you have to leave so soon?" I gave him a half smile, "unfortunately I do have to go home." "You think you might come back around sometime?"
I tilted my head, "Well I do have to pick up a couple of horses in a week if you can wait that long?" His eyes gave a mischievous glow "I think I can wait."

WIP "Run to Daylight"
(For @shovitch , I've been stuck on this fic for so long, and there's no Kyle in this snippet, but it's one of the better written portions, and you were so nice to remind me that there are other Guy Gardner fans out there, so maybe I'll get inspired after posting this....Here you go, luv. <3 )
Summer 1989
He is nine years old and the days are eternities.
Every day he runs out after breakfast and stays out until sundown; no one knows where Guy has been all day, but no one worries too much, neither. Bobby’s big brother Joe pitches to all the neighbor kids all day, and even though Guy can’t really hit too good, Joe calls Guy “Charlie Hustle” and cheers for him when he runs around the basepath like a maniac. Later, Joe gives Guy Pete Rose’s Winning Baseball, and even though it’s a book for grown ups, Guy slowly makes his way through the whole stinkin’ thing.
When Dad’s not working he’s out with Mace, taking him through football drills. That’s okay though, football’s boring. Guy borrows VHS tapes of the ‘75 and ‘76 World Series games from the library. He starts running to first base after ball four, and everyone laughs at him, but screw those guys because bookin’ it to first on a walk is exactly what Charlie Hustle does.
Just before school starts, Guy’s mom looks up from her book after dinner and tugs at his shaggy hair.
“We’ll get your haircut tomorrow.”
“Can I get it how I want?”
Dad’s still out with Mace.
She swallows a little wine and looks back down at her book. “Sure, baby.”
He pumps his fist and darts in to kiss her cheek, dumping his dishes in the sink. Star Trek’s on in just a minute. “Thanks, Mom!”
He brings Pete Rose’s baseball card with him to the barbershop the next morning. When he shows it to the barber, his mother looks over his shoulder, That’s really what you want? but she’s got a smile with it too, so he nods excitedly and starts telling them both about why Pete Rose is his favorite player, except maybe for Brooks Robinson, but even Pete Rose thinks Brooks Robinson is in a higher league than anyone else ever, and Pete Rose can play just about any position and he’s so good that he was intentionally walked in game three of the World Series in 1975, bases loaded, you know, that’s how much of a threat Pete Rose was, they couldn’t take a chance. What a great team that was, Joe Morgan and Johnny Bench, but Pete Rose, boy, he always plays to win. He once said he’d walk through hell in a gasoline suit just to play baseball, and the barber laughs even as his mom tells him not to say “hell.”
When they get home, his dad looks right at him for the first time all summer.
“What the hell happened to you?”
Mom turns around from the kitchen sink. “He likes his hair that way, Rolly.”
“It’s stupid. It looks like we can’t afford to get him a decent clip.”
Guy pipes up. “It’s like Pete Rose wears it, Dad. It’s cool.”
“Oh, it’s cool, is it?” Dad grabs a beer from the fridge and heads to his recliner by the tv. “You don’t see your brother goin’ around in a faggy haircut just to be cool. You know where your brother is now?”
Guy waits for the answer.
“He’s out drillin’ his footwork so he can play a real man’s sport.”
His mom turns back to the sink. “He likes baseball, Rolly.”
“You’re turnin’ him into a sissy.”
Guy stays near his mom when Rolly leaves. She sighs, looking him over with her hands in the soapy water. “Maybe it’s best if we change it, baby.”
He clenches his teeth at the unfairness of it all. He knows to a certainty that Mace cuts his hair like Joe Montana, and it’s definitely “just to be cool.”
“I don’t care what he thinks.”
She nods as if she already knew what he’d say. “Just try not to set him off again, okay?”
He goes upstairs in his room to flip through Winning Baseball. He hears Mace slam through the front door just before dinnertime. When he comes upstairs to change, Mace pokes his head into Guy’s room and snorts, pushing his dumb, sweaty feathered bangs back. Girls had been coming around a lot more recently; Mace seemed to have skipped the awkwardness of puberty and went straight to Chick Magnet.
“That’s pretty bad, Guy.”
“Shut up.”
“You’re gonna get the shit beat out of you at school.”
“Pete Rose doesn’t get beat up.”
“I hate to break it to you, but you’re not Pete Rose.”
“You used to like baseball too, you know. I’m not stupid, I found your old baseball cards.”
Mace’s face pinches up. “It’s just a little kid’s game.”
“No it’s not.”
“Whatever,” Mace hesitates in the doorway. “Look, I know you don’t care what people think, little brother. But, believe me, life’s gonna be a lot easier if you start.”
Guy shakes his head, biting down on his cheek. “So what, be more like you? Dad’s little soldier?”
Mace stares past Guy to the 8x10 glossy of the ‘66 Orioles hanging over his bed Mom had found at a garage sale.
“It might help.”
“I hate him.”
Mace doesn’t say anything, doesn’t look at him. “You’re too young to understand anything.”
“I understand he’s a drunk and he’s an asshole.”
That gets Mace’s full attention. “Shut up.”
“No,” and for some reason Guy wants to cry, but he pushes it all down just a little bit longer.
“You don’t remember how he was,” Mace pinches his nose. “Life’s not a baseball game, Guy. It’s more complicated. People get…they get hurt, or sad. They get fired. Forgotten about. You just…you don’t get it.”
“He hits Mom.”
That gets Mace to flinch, which feels kind of good.
“He doesn’t mean to.”
Guy feels a hot flush all over, and suddenly his chest is tight, his throat is tight, and his face is wet, his eyes blurry. “I hate this family.”
Mace stares at his feet. “I know.”
Mace tells him he’d better clean up for dinner, and he does. They’re quiet at the table until Dad makes another jab at Guy’s hair. Mace cuts in and asks Dad about how great Joe and the 49ers were looking this year, and how they’d go all the way, no question. How it was a shame that the Colts look like crap, that’s what they get for moving away, and would they ever get football back in Baltimore? Surely, surely they would, no doubt about it. It just makes Rolly mad that the whole goddamn city had to suffer just because a couple greedy Jews got bored and decided to swap a few franchises around. Goddamn Irsay and his goddamn LA Rams, goddamn shame to see the Colts in Indianapolis of all places, who the hell thought that up?! Mace just nods his head along, shooting Guy little glances, making sure his little brother’s not about to screw up dinnertime again, upset Almighty Dad by speaking or tipping over a glass of milk or something.
The first day of school a sixth grader tells Guy he looks like a retard.
“Takes one to know one, chucklehead.”
“Watch your mouth, Opie--”
Guy charges him, puts his head into the kid’s gut real hard, but the kid’s a lot bigger and after a few seconds Guy’s wrestled to the ground, his arms pinned, the jackass sitting on his chest until Guy can hardly breathe.
Three weeks later nothing is better, and Mace keeps telling him it’s only going to get worse in middle school and Don’t get a reputation as a weirdo now, stupid. So Guy asks his mother to take him back to the barber, and she doesn’t even put up a fuss like he expects: it must be that bad.
When the barber asks him what he wants he just shrugs and swallows and tells him he doesn't really care all that much. His mother says she’s always liked it short because he’s got “such a nice bone structure,” whatever that means. The barber gives him a flattop, short and clean all around.
It doesn’t take too long. “See, now that’s a haircut. I could set my watch to that haircut.”
His mother laughs, such a rare sound, and the barber keeps rolling, “We got a young Johnny Unitas right here. You play football, kid?”
Mom pets him on the head, and he feels about five years old. “He likes baseball.”
“Mickey Mantle, then. Ol’ Mick always kept a clean look too. Real timeless.”
Guy hates the Yankees.
He’s quiet in the car. His mother tells him he looks very grown up and keeps a hand on his knee the whole ride home.

He's one of your high profile clients and his quirk is strong enough that he has to come for suit repairs near twice a month. It helps that he's one of the most bearable alphas you've ever met, affable and kind, and he never judges you for being a rare omega in the hero line of work. It also helps that he's painfully, absurdly hot. You're perhaps never more grateful for his nature than when the building housing your lab collapses with the two of you in it, and as the walls and floors of your lab crumble, so does the suppressor device that keeps your heats in check and your hormones under control. As the dust settles, you realize you are trapped by rubble and dust and twisted metal with perhaps the only alpha alive that you trust, as your adrenaline surges and your carefully suppressed heat cycle comes roaring to life.

*Thin Walls by @rat-suki Bakugo x reader: Katsuki’s loud, obnoxiously so. And you’re the one who has to deal with it.
*all through the night by @some-kindofgnome Bakugo x reader: You and Bakugo have chased a villain far out of the city- too far to make it back for the night. You find somewhere decent to bed down, but there’s a little problem with your room.

Young Sheldon to Air TBS
WarnerMedia has announced that Young Sheldon will be airing on TBS following the current season:
LOS ANGELES (August 17, 2021) – TBS inks acquisition deal with Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution for the hit Warner Bros. Television comedy “Young Sheldon.” The series will make its debut on TBS on Monday, September 27 at 5:00pm ET/PT. “Young Sheldon” joins TBS’ line-up of fan-favorite and best-in-class series including WBTV’s “Friends” and “The Big Bang Theory,” the longest-running multicamera comedy in television history.
Brett Weitz, General Manager, TBS, TNT and truTV said: “The Warner Bros. Domestic TV library has been wonderfully successful for our networks from ‘Friends’ to ‘The Big Bang Theory’ and ‘Young Sheldon’ is a natural addition that is going to enhance more opportunities for consumers to sit back and laugh.”
“Young Sheldon” is the number one comedy on network television with total viewers, Adults 18–49 and 25–54. The series averaged 9.5 million viewers per week during the 2020–21 television season (9,450,000 actual P2+), according to Most Current ratings information from Nielsen. “Young Sheldon” premiered on CBS in 2017 and was the most-watched comedy debut in 15 years. The series recently concluded its fourth season and has been renewed by CBS for an additional three seasons.
For 12 years on “The Big Bang Theory,” audiences came to know the iconic, eccentric and extraordinary Sheldon Cooper. The single-camera, half-hour comedy “Young Sheldon” gives viewers the chance to meet him in childhood, as he embarks on his innocent, awkward and hopeful journey toward the man he will become.
For young Sheldon Cooper, it isn’t easy growing up in East Texas. Being a once-in-a-generation mind capable of advanced mathematics and science isn’t always helpful in a land where church and football are king. And while the vulnerable, gifted and somewhat naïve Sheldon deals with the world, his very normal family must find a way to deal with him. His father, George, is struggling to find his way as a high school football coach and as father to a boy he doesn’t understand. Sheldon’s mother, Mary, fiercely protects and nurtures her son in a town where he just doesn’t fit in. Sheldon’s older brother, Georgie, does the best he can in high school, but it’s tough to be cool when you’re in the same classes with your odd 9-year-old brother. Finally, there’s Sheldon’s twin sister, Missy, who sometimes resents all the attention Sheldon gets, but also remains the one person who can reliably tell Sheldon the truth.
From Chuck Lorre Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, “Young Sheldon” is distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. The series stars Iain Armitage as Young Sheldon, Zoe Perry, Lance Barber, Montana Jordan, Raegan Revord, with Annie Potts, and Jim Parsons as the voice of Sheldon. Chuck Lorre & Steven Molaro created the show and serve as executive producers with Steve Holland, Jim Parsons and Todd Spiewak. About TBS TBS, a WarnerMedia brand, is a top-rated destination for television among young adults and known for escapist, lean-in entertainment, featuring smart, imaginative stories with heart and comedic edge. From scripted comedy series to late-night shows, game shows, and animated programming, TBS’ Originals slate is comprised of some of the most popular shows on cable — “Miracle Workers,” “CONAN,” ”Full Frontal with Samantha Bee,” ”The Last O.G.,” ”American Dad!” and ”Chad.” The network’s slate of premium unscripted series includes “The Misery Index,” “Go-Big Show,” and fan favorite “Wipeout,” along with, new series “Friday Night Vibes” and “The Cube” and upcoming series, “The Big D”. TBS’ lineup also includes comedy hits like ”Family Guy” and ”The Big Bang Theory,” classic sitcom favorites ”Friends” and ”Seinfeld,” blockbuster movies, and live event coverage of Major League Baseball, the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship and “ELEAGUE,” WarnerMedia’s eSports gaming competition. We are gathered here this evening to mourn the loss of George Marshall Cooper, Sr. The Young Sheldon patriarch met his maker in the Big Bang Theory prequel’s antepenultimate episode, which set the stage for Part 1 of Thursday’s series finale.
Portrayer Lance Barber appeared throughout Episode 13 — first in an alternate reality sequence where Sheldon (played by “mighty little man” Iain Armitage) imagines getting one last moment with Dad before he leaves and never returns.
“[Lance] was very instrumental in keeping everybody’s morale up, and seeing him towards the end start to get a little affected by it hit me harder than I thought it would,” Armitage shares with TVLine. “He’s always the funny one in between scenes, making jokes, making us look unprofessional because everyone’s laughing [when] they yell ‘action’ and we’re still snorting with laughter. [While filming those alternate realities] we kind of just looked at each other a few times and I’d go, ‘Thank you,’ and that… that struck me.”
Barber also appears at George’s funeral, which features an open casket. Throughout the somber affair, each family member goes up, one by one, and says a final goodbye. Raegan Revord, who plays Missy, went first. “Those tears are real tears,” she says. “I go up first, I walk back, and I’m still sobbing behind camera. I have to sit there and watch Montana [Jordan, who plays Georgie] and Zoe [Perry, who plays Mary] go up and say their goodbyes, and that was the most brutal for me.
“We had tentatively finished the scene, but I was sobbing even more [now],” she recalls. “I turned to our director [Michael Judd] and said, ‘I need one more. Give me one more.’ I went back up and I did it two more times. They told me they used one of those takes instead.”
Sheldon, who’s still presenting as stoic, decides that he doesn’t want to say goodbye before they close George’s casket. But a few minutes later, he gets up and delivers a eulogy. Or so it seems.
“I wish I could tell you that I said all those things, but I didn’t,” our narrator reveals, confirming that what we’ve just seen is a figment of Sheldon’s imagination.
“For a long time, I focused on my father’s shortcomings,” Jim Parsons’ alter ego acknowledges. “Now that I am his age and have kids of my own, I realize that he was just a person doing the best he could. And he did a lot. I didn’t say it as his funeral, but I can say it now: I loved my father. I will miss him forever.”
The way Armitage sees it, knowing that Sheldon regrets not speaking that day makes up for his decision. “I think it adds more layers to it than if it were something that Sheldon got up and said,” he opines, “which almost makes it more beautiful.”
Below, Young Sheldon co-showrunner Steve Holland, who penned the episode with co-creators Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro, tells us about crafting George’s memorial.
youtube
TVLINE | Was there any apprehension about setting Episode 13 almost entirely at George’s funeral, featuring an open casket, having everyone in tears, not constantly mining the subject matter for laughs…? The endings of shows [are] always tricky, and you’re always aware that there’s a lot of audience expectation. At some point, you literally have to just put that aside and tell the story that you think is best and hope that people will follow you down that path. Otherwise, you can get lost in the spiral of “Are people going to like this? Are they going to hate this?” It felt important to us, for the family, and for the character [of George Sr.] to do it. You can’t treat this glibly. For us, living with these characters for all this time, they felt real; this family felt real.
Going into Episode 13, we were trying to find that balance where we recognize that it’s a comedy, and we were trying to have some moments of levity. We also wanted to make sure that we gave this moment its actual, proper weight. I think what we found was that there were some jokes and some lighter moments that were shot that, going into the edit, started to feel a little tone deaf. It felt like, “This family is grieving, and maybe we don’t need make a silly joke at this moment.” For the audience, too, they’ve lived with this family for so long that they can be in the shoes of our characters and also grieve George’s death. It’s emotional, and we felt like we had earned it. We also felt like that was being respectful to these characters to let them have this moment of grief.
It was difficult to write, it was incredibly difficult to shoot, and then we had to watch it over and over again in editing, and it gets me every time. Any time you cut to Raegan in tears, it gets me. It’s a weird mixture because the cast was also grieving the end of this show. It was really an emotional time. It took us two days, or a little more than two days in the church to film the funeral scenes — two days that were full of tears, people just weeping on camera and off camera, with some moments of levity. Lance wanted to be in the casket; he wanted to appear at his own funeral, so he’s actually in the casket, and he had a fart machine to lighten the mood when it needed lightening. But it was a rough couple of days.
TVLINE | Can you talk to me about the idea behind Sheldon playing all those scenarios — all those different ways he could have had one last moment with Dad — in his head? Was it a way to show that, in his own unique way, Sheldon was, in fact, emotionally intelligent? I think that’s exactly right. It kind of goes back to Episode 12. We spent a lot of time crafting George’s last moment — a lot of time for a scene where nothing happens — and it was very important to us that this just be an everyday moment. George is leaving for work, no one’s paying attention, that felt very real. Sheldon doesn’t even look up, he doesn’t say goodbye to him, and I think [the question] was, “How does Sheldon process grief?” It’s not that he doesn’t have emotions, he just doesn’t process them outwardly the way other people do, so for him it was running these scenarios. It was branching into timelines and what he could have said.
Running that back to the outside world, and especially to his sister, looks like he’s not affected at all by it. He just seems very stoic, in a way that is upsetting to her. But for him, this is how he is processing his grief; he’s trying to go back and rewrite those last moments with his dad in his brain. I don’t think he’s really even aware that that is what he is doing. As an adult, I think he is, but as a kid I don’t think he’s necessarily aware that he is processing grief. He’s trying to come to terms with those last moments and his regret over not recognizing that that might have been his last moment with his dad. There is a sort of weird, emotional intelligence to that.
TVLINE | We see Sheldon get up and give a eulogy, then discover that what we just saw never took place. It’s what he wishes he had said that day. I couldn’t help but contrast that moment with Sheldon’s Nobel Prize acceptance. At that point in his life, at the end of Big Bang, he’s able to step up and honor his chosen family and their contributions to his life. Was part of the conceit here, with his eulogy, to create a parallel and show what Sheldon couldn’t bring himself to express at 14, and what he was able to express 25 years later, at 39? A little bit. Obviously, the show is Young Sheldon. You want to have Sheldon have a moment at his dad’s funeral, but we also know that the character Sheldon has a lot more growth [ahead of him]. It can’t all happen here. We started to feel as we were talking about it that it felt phony for him to get up and give this speech. It’s a nice dramatic moment for our show and for our character, but it didn’t feel true to him. We had already talked about [older] Sheldon going back and rewriting those moments. It just felt like the natural way to get that moment for the end of the show and for the character, but not give him too much growth in this moment. It would sort of erase the 12 years of growth that it takes him to get to that moment at the end of The Big Bang Theory.

Wash your beard regularly: Wash your beard with a mild soap or shampoo every other day. This will help to remove dirt, oil, and product buildup.
Condition your beard: Conditioner will help to keep your beard soft and hydrated. Apply conditioner to your beard after each wash and leave it in for a few minutes before rinsing it out.
Brush your beard: Brushing your beard will help to distribute the natural oils throughout your beard and keep it looking its best. Brush your beard twice a day, once in the morning and once at night.
