I really can't get over this. Athrun asking Cagali if she brought a dress because he doesn't think she is taking her political role seriously despite the fact her title is "Chairman" and she is dressed like a business executive... thats some Bernard Monsha shit. Gundam SEED has a scene where Cagali princess carries him in her mobile suit cockpit to safety during the final big and the second he gets out he turned into MONSHA?

I am working out alone now during the week, so I decided while im on the treadmill or bike or whatever i'll finally start Gundam SEED Destiny.

There isn't a lot to say so far other than how notable traditional gender roles are pushed in the first episode (Athrun telling Cagali she needs to wear dresses instead of pant suits to be taken seriously as a governmental leader, the insistence on calling her a princess when her title is Chairman, Stella falling into Shinn's arms breastfully) which I can't help but feel like are ratcheted up from UC. The UC writers had a lot to say about Gender for sure, but at times it felt more like a conversation than a declaration.

The Impulse gundam is pretty cool. I am undecided on the new Zaku design. The other new gundams look dumb as hell.

It seems like the first three episodes (i am midway through episode 3) are one full battle which would be.... A choice. The battle choreography seems okay though. I cant compare it to SEED though cause I watched SEED in 2018. For better or worse I am in for the long hole. I pray to god that someone as interesting as Flay shows up.

TECHNOLOGY AND DEVELOPMENT

Developed using captured Zaku IIs, the Zanny was one of the first mobile suits developed by the EFF prior to Operation V. Its development was harshly underfunded and suffered from technical issues, resulting in a bucket of bolts with a shoddy design and high failure rates during testing. In the end, it was mainly used to train early feddie mobile suit pilots, and develop newer MS from it.

In the Thunderbolt version, the Zanny was still developed by the EFF using captured Zaku units, but its design differed, looking more like a fusion of a GM and a Zaku.

EQUIPMENT

It was lightly armed, with a head-mounted 60mm vulcan gun and a 120mm cannon that was a modified version of the Ball's.

HISTORY

(I could not find anything for it's history in the original, but I did find some for the Thunderbolt version, which is what this'll cover)

The Zanny was used by the EFF in the Thunderbolt manga, though they also provided it to the allied South Seas Alliance, who used it to recover dead/wounded soldiers and their MS from the battlefields. A large number of them were used to defend the South Seas Alliance's territory, a few of which were equipped with flotation equipment to traverse water.

LEGACY

It was presumably a stepping stone in the Federation's mobile suit development history, though nothing points at it leading to anything in particular or being developed into anything else. As far as I can find, it doesn't have any variants or successors.

It appeared in the SD Gundam G Generation games and Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation Code Fairy.

Weirdly enough though, in the ONA version of Thunderbolt, the Zanny is instead known as the SRf-06 Dahle, having a similar design with a purple color scheme and a slightly different development history. In the ONA, its a South Seas Alliance suit, instead of a feddie suit being provided to them. It was the SSA's mainstay MS, developed from salvaged parts during the OYW due to a lack of funds (Explaining how it still has GM and Zaku design principles), and its weapons also included those of the GM and Zaku, those being a machine gun, a Zaku Bazooka, a heat hawk, a beam saber, and a shield.

Halfway Through 0083 Stardust Memory and Here’s a Rundown of Characters

(Long post, more below the cut)

Ensign Kou Uraki: a mecha nerd and kind of a dumbass. Has not yet reached “adult” status. Probably joined the military for free college or something. A good kid at heart but god, oh my god, is he dumb. Has a hard time explaining why he fights, when the EF military has a very clear policy of “don’t get murdered by space nazis, and also democracy is nice”. Thinks he was a deserter when he got drunk, mugged, and woke up in a strange bed when Monsha’s done that like three times a year or something.

Anavel Gato: a bad cat. Thinks of himself as an honorable warrior for the noble cause of zeon independence. Basically a zealot, he doesn’t think anything of sketchy-ass orders as long as his boss goes “nah bro it’s for Zeon’s sake”. Piloting skills are hugely overrated. Halfway decent tactician. He is rock-solid in his support for the ideal of Zeon, but it’s not really clear what that means. Is it space nazis? Is it gassing colonies? Is it huge palatial halls inside spaceships, sucking up resources that could be used to improve the lot of the common man? Nobody knows. For all the shit he gives Kou about not knowing what he stands for, I don’t know what he stands for.

Nina Purpleton: Imagine. It’s the space future, and you, an attractive, career-minded lady leave your gay as hell workplace at Anaheim Electronics for some business trips. Immediately you are hit on constantly by everyone (and Monsha) and people steal your gundams for joyrides and spy on you with mecha cameras. I think you’d be pretty pissy too. Gets a gundam mixed up in a fight with her office not-romantic partner. A little smarter and more disciplined than the rest of the feddies, but not by much.

Mora Boscht: Huge mechanic lady with the EF military. No emotional problems! Beats up sexual harassers and is a cool big sis. Everyone’s got their dicks out for Nina but nobody has tried to date Mora yet, and they are damn fools for it. Treat giant women right!

Lt. South Burning: Basically the adult of the crew. The kind of officer who doesn’t rack up 15 NJPs a year. Probably ages at 3x normal speed thanks to Monsha and Kou.

Aguille Delaz: Continuing our theme of ‘Zeon, what is it good for’, we see a devoted follow of Ghiren Zabi. Ghiren, you’ll remember, took being compared to hitler as a compliment and authored plans for just about all the big Zeon warcrimes in the OYW. So that’s who this guy looks up to. Thinks surrendering when your whole army and economy are crushed is for pansies. Basically a huge villain. Somehow his subordinates have yet to realize this, or that he will get them all killed.  But I guess the feddies built a nuclear-capable gundam (after the war...), so something something corrupt earthnoids weighed down by gravity. Can play Gato like a fiddle. Has a plan for the revival of TRUE ZEON, which is kind of ironic given that Axis Zeon is like, a thing.

Cima Garahau: HOT MESS. This lady. THIS LADY. She is pissed at everything that doesn’t go her way and an angry, bitter wreck of a person. Runs a space pirate fleet, and by her decree there must be (1) tiger skin rug on the command sofa for her to lounge on and (1) incredibly buff, nearly shirtless crewman to stand around and look pretty for her. Which, c’mon, if you’re a space pirate, live it up. Needs a therapist harder than anyone else in this show. Has less of a resting bitch face and more of a constant, active bitch face.

Kelly Layzner: Wants to die heroically fighting for Zeon (again, kinda space nazis) instead of living peacefully. Has a nice house, steady income, a cute and helpful girlfriend, but he’s missing an arm so he can’t deal with the shame of it all. Something something macho problems. His arc ends next episode but c’mon, we all know he’s gonna try to do the suicide by cop thing. Them Zeons love that.

Ensign Chuck Keith: He’s here too. Kou’s friend.

Bernard Monsha: A feddie pilot and emblematic example of the discipline problems in the OYW and post-OYW feddie military. Basically a hooligan with a mecha. I could go into details, but really? It’s 2052 and this guy is legit wearing a 70′s porno stache. He knows what he is, and is proud of it.

This will be the first time I’ll be posting individual sketches for the sake of big activity here on tumblr...been missing alot of time lately so here goes...

Here’s another one of the main playable character in the Battle Rehime Lore!

Tifa Lockhart!

So whats her new role here in Battle Rehime? The original plan I have on her and the rest of the FFVII cast was that these guys were recruited and rescued by the heroes of the lore...in this particular case: Bright Noa and his crew remaining crew*after Amuro Ray was dispatch from the war, Captain America, Wonder Woman and a few members of the Justice League of America and S.H.I.E.L.D. after the famous escape from the Shinra HQ incident and President Shinra’s death.

  In order for these guys to get themselves into safety from the Shinra Corps for now after getting chased by them from the Shinra HQ incident, they were drafted into the A.E.U.G. and oh good news** Biggs, Wedge and Jessie manage to survived the Sector 7 incident thanks to some additional shunigan rescue by some unknown party members**to be expanded soon

Cloud Strife and Tifa were drafted into the S.H.I.E.L.D as part of Captain America and Wonder Woman’s team,**though Tifa works with Tony Stark after in the moment after 3 or 4 short missions. Barret, Aerith and Red 13 were recruited under Captain Tresdin (DOTA 2) and Captain Eiphar Synapse in order to perform missions in the nearby regions of Illyria (Guilty Gear Continent which is also known as Europe!!**we’ll expand what’s going on soon)

Now currently Tifa’s role here is expanded like a young teenager trying to work as an adult. even at her age of 19*(20 in the official FFVII event storyline ) she still feels immature around and needs a few guidance from somebody though she proves herself she can be a team-player and able to teach others when needed around!

In the prologue chapters though around 3 to 9ish, it is revealed that Tifa has able to befriend a following friends for herself around whenever she’s not with Cloud and the gang. She gains guidance from the likes of Captain America, Wonder Woman, Tony Stark, Elasti Girl (NPC), Richard Rider (NOVA) and Gundam War Veteran Amuro Ray, whom she relates a lot the most with certainty and Bright Noa, whom Tifa never gets along sometimes with.

She also become friends with Jimmy Olsen (whom he idolizes Superman in the cannon stories) when Tony Stark toured her in their headquarters branch almost near the cities of California, a city which is constructed under the Earth Federation Forces*including the Titans. and has met Cyborg and Beast Boy whom the boys befriend the girl alot and sometimes pisses her off when the boys gets her on her nerves but she became their friends later in the series.

and during outside missions, she’s a bartender inside Tony Stark’s HQ during parties and would to make him drunk sometimes and oh, she gets along with some boys around who appear to have a crush on her. (such as Bernard Monsha, Green Arrow, Hawkeye, etc) and as a part-time worker, she sometimes teaches martial arts in the Xavier’s institute or the Balamb Garden Academy.

as for the rest of the story plans...well I ‘m planning to had her fight Jam Kuradoberi in a misunderstanding incident were Gambit catcalled her like a womanizer he was, got mad and attack him, then Jam intervenes for she thinks Tifa is ruining her restaurant. just take a look of this picture below:
