favorite thing about them: his whole motivation being fear of death. there's something about a villain character being motivated primarily by fear that i find really interesting.

least favorite thing about them: the fact that i genuinely believed he was a good guy pre-betrayal and fell for his "abandoned by dialga" ruse on my first playthrough. the personality test diagnosed me as

random headcanon: that moment in SE5 where dusknoir shields grovyle from that chunk of ice? he claims it was just part of his plan to backstab grovyle but i've always liked the idea that it was a genuine move on his part. just instinctively protecting grovyle and then lying about why he did it lol.

unpopular opinion: MAN idk if i have any unpopular opinions about him these days. back in the 2010 deviantart pmd era i had unpopular opinions bout the popular depiction of grovyle/dusknoir relationship stuff (as i mentioned in my infamous dusknoir manifesto) but i dont see that kinda stuff much these days.

I don’t think words can describe how excited I was when I found out that @tsunderica wanted to commission me to draw #Bernie for her. 💜 I went into detail about this on Twitter but I’ll also post it here. For those of you who don’t know, I have OCD and anxiety. While things have gotten much better with treatment, it is still present in my life. I know I’ve said this many times before but I’ll say it again. #fireemblemthreehouses also really helped my mental health. Playing the game allowed me to let myself have fun again. I also fell in love with the story and characters and started to feel inspired again. I’m a Blue Lions stan so I didn’t get to know Bernie’s character right away, but when I did I recruited her immediately. I don’t remember the last time I related to a character and their arc so much. It was almost spooky to come across a character who’s thought process worked like yours. But what I really loved was how the game portrayed her growth. Her anxiety will be lifelong but she no longer lets it stop her from achieving her goals. That really resonated with me. 💜 Erica really did an amazing job voicing her! (Seriously go follow her and give her your support!) So many wonderful talented people worked on this game and you really should check it out if you haven’t already!
