Wolf King/Game of Thrones similarities

I fully understand that Wolf King is its own thing but I’m such a game of thrones nerd and this was all that was going through my head when I was watching it lol.

*SPOILERS AHEAD*

Wolf King/Game of Thrones parallels are WILD (no pun intended). With this I don’t really mean in terms of themes, but just in regards to the characters?

For me, the second I saw Prince Lucas (aka Lion dude) I was like “oh my god is that Joffrey Lannister in another universe” and I was proved fully correct.

Same guy different TV show.

And then there was Lady Gretchen, who made me think of Sansa Stark the second she came on screen! She’s a bit more feisty than Sansa, but her prim and proper attitude and idealism at the beginning reminded me of Sansa at her prime idealistic state, and the bickering between her and Whitley was giving Sansa and Arya so much!!

Best of all, we’ve literally got the Wolf King returning to rule and at the end of the season where everyone in the capital is shouting allegiance to the Wolf King it was absolutely giving “I know no King but the King in the North whose name is Stark.”

I’ve been waiting for a fantasy series ever since the demise of GoT and the lack of more ASOIAF content, so I’m clinging onto this show with all my might and if they cancel it I’m going to do something I’ll probably regret. This show is so beautiful, I adore all the characters and I can’t wait to see season 2!!
