They do not need to exhaust every possible means of survival to warrant aid, or spend the entirety of their existence pursuing the same amount of production as others even though it takes everything they have and leaves no room for anything else. They are not obligated to push their limits.

If that pisses you off because YOU have to work to the limit, or beyond, your problem is that you are not being paid enough or you are being asked to do the work of more than one person. Not that disabled people get help for "nothing".

Certainly they're going to spend the rest of their lives arguing over which compound they stay in. he's never going to get to live with his brother again, they'll probably need some spare home in the middle of the village, it's such bullshit. And that's just location stuff, not even getting into everything else being married entails!

except then tobirama arrives and immediately sets about....being a spouse? like yes, there's a lot of bickering, but it's mostly about why the uchiha do things a certain way and if the methods matter or only the end result. Do the uchiha do their laundry in the nara for convenience or bc of historical precedence? do all uchiha brew their tea for 20 minutes or is izuna simply an insane bitter-tea lover (it's just izuna, and it's not the only bitter thing he loves.) tobirama is going to absorb every cultural norm they have and the exact reasons why they have them or so help him god

Tobirama does argue about their house- that it should be the one Izuna's already living in with madara, no secondary location, and certainly no home with the Senju. He's offended at the suggestion. Hashirama is too, when Madara brings it up with him- are you implying his little brother doesn't have his place with the uchiha? are you suggesting he's going to be constantly leaving you? Isn't he being the best wife ever? he took lessons from Mito for months in preparation, don't insult his hard work!

I am once again thinking about how odysseus who witnessed the horrors that the captured women went through (one of his main duties in the iliad was taking the women back home and making sure they were as comfortable as possible and safe because he was the only one trusted not to violate them further due to his devotion to penelope. And in the odyssey part of the reason circe sent him to the underworld was so that he'd have to listen to all these women's stories (before he could talk to the prophet) ). Who was one of the few that saw women as people and respected their space and opinions. And was then put in those exact same situations. I don't have the motivation right now to do a full literary analysis of this (I'll site the sources too) but oh man one day I'm going to write a full essay on this.

another thing that was crazy abt megalopolis is that theres a huge subplot (the main plot of the movie??) about how adam driver is just going around demolishing historic buildings and peoples homes to build his stupid utopian city and everyone is protesting this for obvious reasons but then in the last 10 minutes he just unveils his stupid utopian city and its presented like a huge grand triumph and the demolishings are completely forgotten so you have to assume the movie thinks that coming in and exploding peoples homes with no warning is a good and cool thing for him to do and they shouldnt have been upset by this.

please kindly note that the way my hyperfixations work in terms of fandoms is that when i come across said fandom, i obsessively read every wiki page in existence and watch compilations and scour the interwebs for memes and sometimes fics, and proceed to avoid (for reasons unbeknownst to me) actually consuming the media itself (original books or its adapted versions). i believe its because i dont have the capacity to be emotionally attached to new characters and suffer, but whos to say :P

also note that these characters are in many ways inspired from my own experiences and i occasionally draw from people and places im familiar with, so in instances where things 'wouldnt work' for whatever reason, (firstly im aware, hence their existence) remember that these are works of fiction, and that with the right writing (mostly) anything works. and creative liberties mwahahaha >:)

this is one of the reasons this blog exists; for me to dump the contents of my mind to make way for other (hopefully more useful) stuff, so if u stumble on here feel free to partake (as per the guidelines stated in the pinned post), otherwise move on. this before anything else is for me and my amusement, i wont be catering to anyones interests.

I'm so tried of the response to the new Dragon Age game. You can't criticise decisions or the writing without being lumped in with bigots unless you caveat a hell of a lot, which fewer and fewer online spaces allow for. I'd say this is by design but I don't know if the people fanning the flames and pushing this bigotry are that smart.

It's been in development hell for a decade, cancelled and revived, stopped and started over from scratch multiple times, was infamous for staff turnover, and had senior staff quit the first time it was cancelled then EA fired 50 more people which included senior developers who had worked on previous Dragon Age games. The reason given was EA wanted to be able to "pivot faster" but it's pretty obvious they wanted to get rid of people who had the experience and seniority to push back against decisions.

Because the game very much looks like what happens when execs want to chase trends rather than let developers do what they have experience doing or what customers expect from a franchise name.

But once again the focus isn't on major issues with the AAA publishing industry or MBAs calling shots, it's about a non-issue that's a symptom of that at most and it prevents actual criticism from getting through.
