Mario & Sonic at Oscars Party brainstorm
For some reason Mario & Sonic is discontinued so we cannot see Nintendo and Sega making a new Olympic video game for them! If let that crossover continued, they should consider another theme... Turns out into Mario & Sonic Party is nice, but how could makes different with original Mario Party (and Sonic Shuffle)? Should consider a new theme in reality for it...
And my answer is movie. The Oscars. Let them cosplay some classic Oscars Best Pictures nominees and winners, most movies are PG-13 and if select the movie is R-rated, that rating must still 16+ on other countries.
Pauline as Robot Maria in Metropolis I added Metropolis with some selfishness reason: I feel sorry it cannot get any Oscars since that was no Best International Feature Film in 1st Oscars yet.
Bowser Jr. and Metal Sonic apart as Jack and David in Wings
Peach as Glida and Amy as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz
Sonic as Jewish barber dressed in Hynkel (confused?) in The Great Dictator
Silver and Blaze as Mr and Mrs Bailey in It's a Wonderful Life
Mario as eponymous protagonist in Ben-Hur
Daisy as Maria and Knuckles as Captain Trapp in The Sound of Music
Bowser as Michael Corleone in The Godfather
Luigi as Carl & Tails as Bob in All the President's Men
Donkey Kong as eponymous protagonist in Rocky
Waluigi as Harold Abrahams in Chariots of Fire
Yoshi as eponymous protagonist in E.T.
Vector as Oskar Schindler in Schindler's List
Wario as Frank Costello in The Departed, or Hon Sam in Infernal Affairs the original Hong Kong version
Sticks as Katherine Johnson in Hidden Figures
Rosalina as Katharine Graham and Eggman as Ben Bradlee in The Post
Shadow and Rouge as Robert and Kitty in Oppenheimer For the system spelling problem I turns Barbenheimer into Oppie + Barbie, but more correctly is Oppenheimer costume with some Barbie Pink accessories. @dracarialove I still waiting you upload my commission in your tumblr page, please...
Finally, that game maybe release at 2027 would be better. Metropolis and Oscars 100th anniversary, baby!

Throughout the time, beginning in 1984, when I worked as [Ben] Bradlee’s managing editor and then, from 1991 to 2008, succeeded him as executive editor [at The Washington Post], I never understood what “objectivity” meant. I didn’t consider it a standard for our newsroom. My goals for our journalism were instead accuracy, fairness, nonpartisanship, accountability and the pursuit of truth

Mark Ruffalo, Rachel McAdams, Michael Keaton, and Brian d’Arcy James in Spotlight (Tom McCarthy, 2015)
Cast: Mark Ruffalo, Michael Keaton, Rachel McAdams, Liev Schreiber, John Slattery, Brian d’Arcy James, Stanley Tucci, Gene Amoroso, Jamey Sheridan, Billy Crudup, Richard Jenkins, Paul Guilfoyle, Len Cariou. Screenplay: Josh Singer, Tom McCarthy. Cinematography: Masanobu Takayanagi. Production design: Stephen H. Carter. Film editing: Tom McArdle. Music: Howard Shore.
Considering that we spend half our waking lives at work, it's surprising that there are so few good films about what we do there. The problem may be that many, if not most, of the jobs we do lack the essential narrative shape: beginning, middle, and end. They're a routine repeating itself until death or retirement provides the closure. The exceptions would seem to be cops and doctors, who deal with life and death, and sometimes lawyers, if their jobs lead to the courtroom and aren't just an eternal drawing up of documents. But surprisingly, given the low esteem in which they're held by the general public, there are also some classic films about journalists at work; His Girl Friday (Howard Hawks, 1940) and All the President's Men (Alan J. Pakula, 1976) come immediately to mind. (I omit Orson Welles's Citizen Kane because it seems to me less about journalism than about obsession.) I will have to add Spotlight to the list, though despite its best picture Oscar (or maybe because of it) I think it's too soon to call it a great film. What makes it work for me is that it's a convincing portrait of what I know about journalists: that the good ones love what they do. What Mark Ruffalo gets right about Mike Rezendes, whom I know slightly, is his absolute delight in doing the job right, flinging himself body and soul into his work. I would also single out here the performance of Liev Schreiber, one of our best and most underappreciated actors, whose Marty Baron is a spot-on portrait of the journalist who has found himself promoted upstairs to where his commitment to the profession is regarded with suspicion, even though his heart is in the right place. Michael Keaton's Walter Robinson is one of those who suspect Baron, and I wish there had been more scenes in which the growing confidence each has in the other was dramatized. John Slattery's Ben Bradlee Jr. is a keen portrayal of the journalist whose edges have been worn down to the point where he's always in danger of playing it too safe. Now, this judgment of the film is being made by someone who knows the territory, but considering how many cop movies seem ludicrous to cops, and how doctors tend to despise medical dramas, I think it speaks well of writer-director Tom McCarthy and his co-screenwriter Josh Singer that they manage to capture the essence of the journalism game (at least as it was in 2001-03, before the demise of newspapers) so extraordinarily well.

“He raised millions of dollars for the Jimmy Fund charity, and then he would also help others, like retired ballplayers who would run out of money. He would call them up and say that he was raising money for the Jimmy Fund. And the guy would say, ‘Jesus, Ted. You know, I’m tapped out. I can’t give you any money, sorry.’ And he’d say, ‘Goddamnit, this is Ted Williams. Write me a cheque for ten dollars.’ So the fellow would send the cheque and Ted would take the account number on the cheque and put a thousand dollars in the guy’s account.”

Spotlight (2015)
I’ve seen Spotlight twice now. The first time I saw it, it blew my mind. It shocked and infuriated me. I needed to see it again. I wanted to make sure that my strong feelings towards it were because the movie was well made, not because you can’t see a movie about corruption this blatant and not become emotional. Revisiting it has given me a whole new appreciation for “Spotlight”. For the way it tackles its subject and its performances.
Based on true events, it follows the “Spotlight” reporters of the Boston Globe in 2001: Michael Rezendes (Mark Ruffalo), Walter Robinson (Michael Keaton), Sacha Pfeiffer (Rachel McAdams), Ben Bradlee Jr. (John Slattery), and Matt Carroll (Brian d’Arcy James). When a new editor (Liev Schreiber as Marty Baron) decides the paper needs to follow up on the story of a priest who sexually abused children, Spotlight uncovers a decade-long pattern.
This story is upsetting. We're talking about children who've been victimized and an organization people trust betraying its followers by caring about itself rather than anyone else. You don’t know whether you want to cry because of everything you see, or if you’re relieved that those responsible are being held accountable. Like the original articles published in the Boston Globe, Spotlight is someone planting their feet and saying, “It’s time for the world to know! We won’t stand for this!” Writer/director Tom McCarthy (who pens with Josh Singer) ensures none of this will ever be forgotten and shows the importance of real journalism but even without all the historical relevance and "important" messages, you’ve still got a triumph of cinema.
This movie is a snowball you push around. As the investigation progresses, it grows but remains manageable. You have an idea of what it will look like but you don't know for sure. Before you know it, you're struggling against a gargantuan weight and then, gravity takes over. You made it to the top of the hill and now the thing's got a mind of its own. When it'll stop you can't say but its impact will be unforgettable. Spotlight masterfully builds upon each plot point, revelation, and conversation so elegantly. It keeps raising the stakes and makes you care about not just the fact that once the article is published the child predators are going to be exposed, but also about the article itself. You are invested in this story because of the effort the journalists have put into it, and what it represents.
While the focus of Spotlight is on the research and the article's assembly, the characters are not ignored. Each reporter has a personality. You understand who they are by their reactions to the material, their mannerisms, and the way they talk. It's so genuine the film takes on a documentary-like feel. You’ll have the main piece of information that’s important for you to retain. Beneath that statistic, number, or testimony there’s so much more. You can tell that when the camera isn’t on these people, that their world keeps spinning. You just happen to be lucky enough to catch the essential glimpses.
I wouldn't call Spotlight fun but it’s exciting and masterfully directed. The suspense is off the charts and the performances are strong. It never feels exploitative, manipulative, or unscrupulous. Spotlight is a testament to the power and the responsibility of journalism, to the danger of people looking the other way. It's so well made you'll feel drawn to it again despite the subject matter. (Theatrical version on the big screen, December 30, 2015)

The best available players after Round 3 of the 2020 NFL Draft
Washington quarterback Jacob Eason is the biggest name yet to be drafted, but he’s not the best player out there.
As expected, several runs on positions happened on Day 2. In the second round, four of the first 13 picks were used on safeties. The round also featured five running backs after only one was selected in the first round.
Wide receivers also continued to be popular. After six were taken in the first round, seven were picked in the second round and four in the third round.
After 106 picks, there are still plenty of talented players remaining in the 2020 NFL Draft. There are some big names, too. The biggest is Washington quarterback Jacob Eason. The thought was that he’d be picked on Day 2 of the draft, but only one quarterback went off the board with the Philadelphia Eagles taking Jalen Hurts in the second round.

"SPOTLIGHT" (2015) Review
"SPOTLIGHT" (2015) Review Have you ever watched a movie on DVD or cable that you regret not seeing in the movie theaters? I have. In fact, I have seen at least three films nominated for Best Picture . . . after they had been released on DVD. One of those films was the actual Best Picture winner, "SPOTLIGHT". Directed by Oscar nominee Thomas McCarthy, "SPOTLIGHT" told the story of The Boston Globe's "Spotlight" team, the oldest continuously operating newspaper investigative journalist unit in the United States and its investigation into cases of widespread and systemic child sex abuse in the Boston area by numerous Roman Catholic priests. The story began in 2001 when a new editor named Marty Baron is hired by The Globe. During a staff meeting, Baron brought up the subject of a Boston priest named John Geoghan, who was sexually abusing children and nothing was done - by the Church or the city's law enforcement - to stop him. Baron urged the "Spotlight" team to investigate. Initially believing that they are following the story of one priest who was moved around several times, the "Spotlight" team eventually uncovered a pattern of sexual abuse of children by Catholic priests throughout Massachusetts and an ongoing cover-up by the Boston Archdiocese, Cardinal Bernard Law. After watching "SPOTLIGHT", I easily understood why it had received a good deal of acclaim and award nominations. It really is a first rate movie. Due to the fact that the movie focused on a newspaper investigation team, it allowed moviegoers to enjoy the team's step-by-step investigation into the priests and their victims in the Boston area. I might as well say it. The movie reminded me of the 1975 Oscar nominee, "ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN" . . . and in a good way. I have not seen a really good movie about investigative journalism in a long time. I also have to commend director Thomas McCarthy and his co-writer Josh Singer for conveying the "Spotlight" team's discoveries via interviews and records in a well-paced manner. McCarthy did not rush the "Spotlight" team's investigation, but he did not drag it as well. In the end, the investigation itself struck me as a fascinating mystery that developed into a horror story that left me feeling appalled. "SPOTLIGHT" not only received nominations for McCarthy's direction and the screenplay that he wrote with Singer, it also received a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Mark Ruffalo and Best Supporting Actress nomination for Rachel McAdams. The pair portrayed two members of the "Spotlight" team - Michael Rezendes and Sacha Pfeiffer. I will admit that both gave first-rate performances. The movie also featured excellent performances from Liev Schreiber as Marty Baron, who started the whole thing in motion; John Slattery as Assistant Managing Editor Ben Bradlee Jr.; Brian d'Arcy James as reporter Matt Carroll; Jamey Sheridan as Catholic Church attorney Jim Sullivan; and Billy Crudup as attorney Eric MacLeish. Ironically, my two favorite performances in the movie did not receive any Academy Award or Golden Globe nominations. One came from Stanley Tucci, who portrayed Mitchell Garabedian, a sharp-tongued attorney who represented many sexual abuse victim. I enjoyed Tucci's sardonic, yet understated performance and how his character pointed out how many Boston officials cooperated with the Catholic Church to cover up the abuses. I also enjoyed Michael Keaton's ambiguous portrayal of editor and the team's leader, Walter "Robby" Robinson. Keaton did a great job in not only conveying his character's leadership, but also his knowledge that The Globe had learned about the abuses years earlier, but had covered it up. It seemed a shame that he did not receive an Academy or Golden Globe nomination. As much as I enjoyed "SPOTLIGHT" and was impressed by it, a part of me feels that it should not have won the Best Picture award. I think the Academy had awarded the film its top honor simply based upon its topic. The problem for me is that "SPOTLIGHT" simply lacked any real artistry. One might accuse me of being shallow. Perhaps I am. But I would prefer to choose a movie that not only provided a great topic, but also first-rate writing . . . and artistry. I can think of two other films that were also nominated the same year as "SPOTLIGHT" that provided all of those features. Someone once pointed out that if you take away the movie's topic of sexual abuse within the Catholic Church, "SPOTLIGHT" would come off as a solid, paint-by-the numbers film by a first-time director. And you know what? That person was right. There were times when McCarthy's direction for "SPOTLIGHT" seemed a bit amateurish. Even though I feel that "SPOTLIGHT" should not have won the Best Picture Oscar for 2015, I cannot deny that it is a basically an first-rate film. I believe that this is due to its fascinating subject, the film's approach to the topic as a mystery and the excellent cast led by Michael Keaton, Mark Ruffalo and Rachel McAdams.

Marty Baron: Buono a sapersi. Walter Robinson: Riuscite a fare qualche progresso? Come puoi dire no a Dio? Sacha Pfeiffer: Che cosa è successo in quel primo incontro? Joe Crowley: Lui era molto gentile all'inizio. Mike Rezendes: E' chiaro. Patrick McSorley: Tornando siamo in macchina e comincia a toccarmi la gamba. Richard Sipe: No, direi proprio di no. E' troppo basso. Richard Sipe: Di tutti i preti. Walter Robinson: Quanti preti ci sono a Boston? Matt Carroll: Circa 1.500, l'1% è quindici, il 6% è novanta. Walter Robinson: Come??? Novanta? Novanta preti? Sacha Pfeiffer: Sarebbe possibile? Ben Bradlee Jr: Novanta preti? A Boston? Mike Rezendes: E come è possibile? Richard Sipe: Beh, la Chiesa è un'istituzione, Mike. Fatta di uomini. E' transitoria. C'è differenza e io lo so. Sacha Pfeiffer: Come fa a saperlo? Ok? Poteva capitare a te, capitare a me, poteva essere ognuno di noi!!! Dobbiamo inchiodarli quei bastardi!!! Walter Robinson: Si. Tu e tutti gli altri. Jim Sullivan: Va fuori da casa mia. Jim Sullivan: Hey!!! Ti presenti a casa mia a ricoprirmi di merda. Tu hai ragione, Robby. Sapevamo tutti che succedeva qualcosa. E allora tu dov'eri? Perché ti c'hai messo tanto? Walter Robinson: Non lo so, Jim.
