Qui Gon and Anakin argue about the question of attachment (they are both secretly married) (Obi Wan and Padme think that their husbands are silly)

anakin: how old did you say you were?
din: thirty-four, sir
anakin: ah, another concerningly large age gap between yet another child of mine and their partner
luke: dad, don't say it like that! din isn't some old bag of bones
anakin: no, i suppose not
han: hey, this old bag of bones can still move! how else did you get a grandson?
leia: oh force help me
anakin:
padme: anakin, put the knife down

Iā€™m gonna be honest. The more I think about it, the more Iā€™m believing that the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy couldā€™ve been better than the Original Trilogy if the script was tighter (a lot tighter). But George needed to let other people handle the script and he needed way more help with bringing his vision to life.
I mean, just think about it. The OG trilogy was a fairly straightforward, good vs evil storyline. Jedi and Rebels good, Emperor and Sith bad. Amazing storyline, but fairly simple. In comparison, the Prequel trilogy is far more complex in terms of what it was trying to achieve. If you look past the shitty dialogue and questionable storyline choices, the story that George came up with deals with:
1) Duty vs. Desire (Anakin trying to remain a Jedi but wanting to pursue Padme)
2) Questioning the Jedi Code instead of just blindly accepting it as gospel. Because despite how much Anakin was struggling with his complicated emotions, the Order doesnā€™t notice. In fact, the Order encouraged him to bury his emotions, which we see led to disaster since that led him right to the Dark Side.
3) An actual attempt at more complex politics rather than just evil empire versus good resistance. For example, itā€™s a meme that Anakin made an argument in favor of fascism, but in the hands of a better writer, that couldā€™ve been a really good moment. We get an idea of why the Empire would have its supporters, despite being the obvious bad guys. It humanizes the Empire in a way that it doesnā€™t make you sympathize with them, but makes you understand how someone could end up on that path. Thatā€™s more true to life than just evil people being evil. (Andor is probably the one Star Wars media that understood this, which is partly why itā€™s one of the best Star Wars content out there)
4) The hero is genuinely a tragic character. Heā€™s a child prodigy who was freed from slavery with the promise of a better life. But as he grows up, he becomes frustrated with how his life is turning out. Heā€™s powerful, but not powerful enough to save his mom. He falls in love, but canā€™t be with Padme since itā€™s against the Jedi Code. Obi-Wan looks over him, but Anakin doesnā€™t feel heā€™s respected. The Order assigns him dangerous mission after dangerous mission, but he doesnā€™t get the rank of master. Anakinā€™s arc is about a man who feels like heā€™s not in control of his life (which is doubly sad when you remember he grew up in slavery) and, in his lowest moment, turns to a man who claims to be able to give Anakin everything heā€™s ever wanted. And that becomes his downfall since he ends up losing way more than he gained.
Iā€™m sorry, but, that storyline is way more interesting than Luke and Leiaā€™s story. No offense to Luke and Leia, but their dadā€™s story sounds like a Shakespearean tragedy. What messed it up was that George Lucas needed someone else to write the script.

I lose my mind every time I see someone joking about the fact that star wars characters are either namedā€¦
ā€œbasicā€ names: Luke, Ben, Cody, Finn, etc.
And then sometimes theyā€™re completely made up and ā€œweirdā€ Space Names like: Obi-Wan, PadmĆØ, Ahsoka, Asajj, Qui-Gon, Anakin, Mitth'raw'nuruodo, etc.
The reason this bothers me so much is because its the exact same mindset in the real world when people believe English is the default.
The world of star wars is a billion times larger than this planet and the idea that unique names that you've never seen before is odd? That's insane to me.
especially because a lot of those names come from or are inspired by actual real languages and cultures that aren't English.

You know that trending sound with the woman humming into the fan, something slow, maybe mournful? And you know how itā€™s been sending fanfic writers into a tizzy going, ā€œactually thatā€™s {Insert Character Here} when they were going through {Scenarios}.ā€
Donā€™t think about Obi-Wan Kenobi humming Jedi songs of mourning under his breath as he heads to Polis Massa to rendezvous with Yoda and Bail, mourning his brother in all but blood, mourning him in more ways than any one person could count. His brother his friend his son his whole world for an entire ten years his brother in arms his hope for himself and his people is shattered
Obi-Wan singing quietly in the delivery room after PadmĆ© dies, begging the Force for answers, why did she have to go why was it her time why didnā€™t she tell me did her and Anakin not trust me was this always my fault???
Obi-Wanā€™s voice finally cracking as he holds the twins together in his arms, the final time he will see them together as children, whispering songs of hope and healing into their soft hair they could have grown up in the Temple they are as strong as their father they need more than I can give them that canā€™t be given anything more than this why is separation the best option they will never know peace as long as the empire reigns but oh Force what can two Jedi do to stop what an entire Temple could not?
Ben humming for the first time in a decade as he rescues Leia to soothe her to sleep on their way back to Alderaan, finally safe and sound is this to soothe him after having to fight the thing that wears Anakinā€™s face and speaks with his voice or to comfort a traumatized child welcome home welcome home
Ben singing to Maul after he dies a tragic and wandering soul, forever haunted by a path he never asked to take he joins the Force he is whole at last welcome home welcome home
Old Ben whispering pleasant nonsense while aboard the Millennium Falcon, Han thinks itā€™s because heā€™s a crazy desert hermit, but Luke is entranced and canā€™t explain why the language is Dai Bendu the language of the Jedi the language of the Light the language of the Force the language of his people welcome home welcome home welcome home
Old Ben hears the Force singing aboard the Death Star as he faces Vader one last time, he sees the twins reunited at last, he knows it is his Time
Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi finally joins his Order, his people, in the Force, and it sings with Light and so does he
