There’s so many things I’d like to say, but let’s bring it right back to the beginning for a bit— Your writing. ♥︎ My love for your writing is still as strong as it was when I first read it (and tbh it continues to grow whenever u post an ask/writing meme), and you have no idea how happy and thankful I am that we got to talking and plotting/writing together. 🥺 Because like… I mean… have you SEEN your writing (aka perfection) and muses (aka walking perfections)??? To say a bih got Blessed™ would be an understatement, at this point. 

You’re also such a joy to talk to, and every time you surprise me with a random post/gifset/etc, I weep tears of joy (or happy pain). Cassie/Rowan and Ginny/Tom for the ship meme!!

CASSANDRA AND ROWAN

Who is a night owl: Cassandra, she’s always had trouble sleeping through the night, thats why 85% of her bloodstream is caffeine 

Who is a morning person: It’s sure as hell not Cassandra so it would have to be Rowan

Are they cuddlers: CassandraCassandraCassandra, she would use Rowan as her human pillow at all times if she could 

Who is the big spoon and who is the little spoon: Rowan is the big spoon 99% of the time but sometimes Cassie holds him because sometimes you just need to be held 

What is their favourite sleeping position: Well Cassnadra’s favorite is when she is basically lying on top of Rowan like he’s part of the mattress 

Who steals all the blankets: Cassie, just because when she does manage to sleep she tosses and turns and the blanket gets tangled around her

What they wear to bed: Nothing Cassie wears an over sized t-shirt and boy shorts, Rowan just wears his boxers or sweats 

Who likes seeing the other wearing their t-shirt: I mean if Rowan DOESN’T combust when he sees Cassandra wearing nothing but his t-shirt I’m going to be VERY disappointed 

Who falls asleep mid-conversation: Cassie, when sleep comes for her it comes with a vengeance 

Who wakes up in the middle of the night with nightmares: Cassandra, she has a lot of dreams about her sister :(

Who accidentally punched the other in their sleep: Cassie literally has no control over her body when she’s sleeping, Rowan should wear protective padding 

Who can’t keep their hands to themself: Rowan, once he hits his remsleep his body does what he can’t when he’s awake

TOM AND GINNY

Who is a night owl: Well Tom doesn’t need to sleep because he’s a celestial being 

Who is a morning person: Tom, because celestial being 

Are they cuddlers: More like Tom holds on to her but it’s not soft like normal cuddling

What is their favourite sleeping position: Well Tom’s not sleeping but I feel like Ginny would fall asleep 

Who steals all the blankets: Tom doesn’t need blankets so he makes sure Ginny is bundled up because even Tom can be sweet sometimes 

What they wear to bed: Tom never changes his clothes so Ginny probably just wears her regular PJs, but they don’t really plan when she falls asleep with him so just whatever she’s wearing when she shows up

Who likes seeing the other wearing their t-shirt: If Ginny could wear his shirt Tom would LOVE it 

Who falls asleep mid-conversation: Ginny, she falls asleep on the dairy regularly

4.  are you an adventurous reader?

I try to be! I’m very squeamish/easily frightened so I don’t read anything that I think will make me ill or too scared (and I am, perhaps, overly cautious on that count) and there are genres that I have less interest in than others, but I try to be open-minded about books

7. what was the last book that made you cry?

I’m not really a crier as a general rule. Probably What Happened by Hilary Clinton--I know that’s a stupid answer but specifically the chapter about gun violence in schools just...yeah. I have a lot of emotions about that.

10.  what was the last book to surprise you?

Honestly? Catch and Kill even though it’s nonfiction and I was alive and reading the news when the whole story went down, there were still moments where I was like “what?????”

18.  what was your favourite book when you were 10?

At 10 I had only just begun to drag myself up from “struggling to read” to “reading reasonably successfully.” I loved The Circle of Magic by Tamora Pierce and Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine and The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster. My sister started reading me Watership Down by Richard Adams at around that age, and I loved that one too.

If she didn’t have someone to tether her here, Inej would have boarded the Wraith and never looked back. But she couldn’t leave forever, she couldn’t erase Kaz from her life. A few years have passed now, but time could not erase what he meant to her then and now. They kept up communication here and there with letters if she stayed in one place long enough, but she often didn’t. She was restless in finding and eliminating slaveholders and slave ships, she had to fulfill that - Kaz will always be in Ketterdam when the dust settled.

But the Wraith eventually needed a break, her crew was exhausted and frankly, so was Inej. She decided to dock in Ketterdam, a place that used to make her shudder. She planned to go to Ravka to stay with her parents, but she needed to see him again. Only for Kaz, Jesper, and Wylan would she return to a city full of her demons. 

She docked the ship, disembarked, and immediately allowed her muscle memory to take her back to a house that saved her once upon a time. Instead of going through the front door, she scaled the wall and perched on a balcony that she used to love sitting on. She peaked into the window and allowed herself to smile as she knocked on it.
