u tagging my candlemic post with fic ideas makes me SO HAPPY ^—^ unfortunately i'm very bad at writing my obscure yuri (only one fic for both candlemic And belleamy) so i'm glad to have more candlemic soldiers 🙏 (even if u don't actually write them) (and its not like i own them or anything) (just letting u know i smiled bigly)

NO THAT POST WAS FIRING OFF SOME NEURONS IN MY BRAIN ok so I have this ii18 epilogue fic that Ive spent forever trying to plan correctly thats basically a bunch of drabbles with characters based off of PRIDE. by kendrick lamar and I had mic and candle paired up to the lyric “i dont love people enough to put my faith in man” because with mic she obviously cared about taco but no matter how much she cared no matter how much she loved her she would never be able to fully put her faith in her, and with candle she helped the people around her and you could tell that she cared, but she never really put her faith in them and ended up being manipulative in her actions

AND THEN YOUR POST COMES ALONG AND OUGH OK there’s a very interesting parallel to be drawn between the two when it comes to expressing emotions because mic struggled a lot in the show with vocalizing (heh) how she was feeling and especially with feeling a lot but candle was very collected and often blunt with people and like you said, accidentally coming off as cold and harsh to others. I’m not really articulating it right but I’m trying to say they’re kinda like opposites in that way (while obviously being different now)

ALSO YOUR COMPARISON OF TACO AND CANDLE OUGH and idk I just REALLY like the way you worded “[taco] neglects the parts of herself she thinks gets in the way of her logic“ like YEAH and if we extend that to candle she’s neglecting what she thinks gets in the way of her game and we see that with her interactions with yin-yang, silver, and honestly hints of it even back with ojs elimination

I am undecided if Almia or Oblivia. Only issue is if I do Oblivia I will give her angst about Dolce and I don’t want that with this one. I just want this one to be happy and have a nice life. I need to make an Oblivian oc to protect Belleamy.

Her main things are

People know Belle as a recluse who lives off by the coast in some far away area of the forest.

People know Amy as an excitable and cheerful woman, if a bit of a nuisance to rangers.

People don’t know either’s full name is Belleamy or that they’re one in the same.

^Not literally everyone, some close people do know. One of them is to blame even! And Belleamy doesn’t contribute knowingly, she’s oblivious.

She looks after wild pokémon around Vien forest and the ocean, having befriended many a buizel, budew, and bidoof!
