I will not apply for a roleplay if they release teasers before anything else. I mean if it’s like... a few days or whatever, that’s fine. But I saw a group once that said their promo needed like 50 notes before anything would be released and I think that’s ridiculous. I think people focus way too much on hyping up a roleplay. If your roleplay is good, if your characters are intriguing, let it hype itself up. because once it opens, if all you had was hype and no effort is being put in anymore, it’ll die right away

I’m not a fan of icons. I know, shocking since I use them here. the icons I do use though have a general screening process when I either download or make them -- are they sharpened well so I can tell what the image is? does the facial expression and/or body clearly show the action it’s meant to? does the PSDs used enhance its visibility or hinder it in some way that it can be difficult to interpret? is the motion (if it’s a gif) pronounced enough to make sense without being too complex to tell what is going on?

if it doesn’t pass one of these, I won’t use them. simple as that.

👀 for a general rpc thought

while I’ll always be an avid fan of my friends and mutuals, constantly seeing what groups they’re in and gauging if it’s a fit for me so I can join in the fun, I’ve become an even bigger fan of trying to establish my own universes. sure, the ones I think up may be a bit complicated and I’m way over my head to suppose I can run anything on my own... but I’m happier, I feel. I like what I’ve created so far even if the group itself is small, and I look forward to opening another one in the near future!! aka once I can figure out the first lil batch of bios for the canon and OC muses in the multi-fandom lmao.

umm, definitely every chance I get to play Teddy Lupin, especially against a Victoire Weasley that subverts their typically written tropes with me -- him being a ball of sunshine and her being a punk-ass bitch. there’s just something to their whole partners in crime dynamic that I love writing about. sometimes I ship it, sometimes they’re way better as almost siblings. depends on who I’m plotting against.

everything I have about him is almost personal to my interpretation; him being held back a grade, being a jackalope animagus, being a genuine slacker genius that lowkey wants to follow in McGonagall’s footsteps. (“I mean, haven’t ya heard of the time she got the castle knights to move? I wanna do that!”) hell, my favorite headcanon to this day is the fact that his earliest signs of magic are enchanting toy soldiers to troop around his grandmum’s house. something I don’t often tell people is that he once surrounded Uncle Harry and Aunt Ginny with them as a tiny tot, all pouty after not being able to have ice cream after dinner. that’s when Teddy first feels motherly wrath like no other.
