I used to hyperfixate on this guy some years ago… I wanted to draw him a bit more. I still have affection for him, he is a lost and stupid dude, clearly psychologically fragile. I used to enjoy the relationship he had with Doflamingo (even ship them?? I was young and traumatized) and I have to say that the idea of this ship really repel me today. I agree that we can notice the one-sided admiration (love?obsession?) of Bellamy for Doflamingo, but anything related to these two is toxic and purely abusive. I was myself recovering from very toxic relationships and I thought the relationship these two had was ship material… I don’t like Doflamingo anymore (but he is a great villain, well written) : he hurt the characters I love too much for me to appreciate him. And I just want Bellamy to find peace…
