Though Roman was sure that his grandfather wanting to make a decent impression on the Blanchards also helped. Much to his grandfather’s chagrin, Salem was already stuck entertaining two young adults, instead of the senior member of the Blanchard family. Richard Blanchard hadn’t been bothered to travel to Arkhelios, and under any other circumstances, Roman was sure his grandfather would be offended.

As it stood, he was too busy making deals and selling off his grandchildren to be irritated by the slight.

In the Retired Leaders AU whenever I see a Steve and Belos post I hear a Tiktok of a lady coming out of her house to see a horse flat on the ground and yells "Steven! I thought you were dead!"

And if in the au the collectior puppet-izes everyone and a big fight thing happens and so on, I can see Belos yelling that once he sees Steven walking around again before he gets tackled by his giant bf

That's a cute idea, but the Collector doesn't exist in this AU, I wrote them out.

The Unification Spell (this AU's version of the big spell) here wasn't taking the magic up to the moon, instead absorbing it into Belos's staff, and the staff exploding is what stopped the spell.

Though Steven was unsure of Belos's fate for some time after that. He was on the tower with the Coven Heads, trying to remove their sigils when the spell was still going, and he heard the explosion. It also sent a shock wave across the Boiling Isles, so he felt it too.

He and some others examined the damaged Skull, and since they didn't find any blood, bodies, body parts or bits of clothing, but did find bits of the portal (and they knew the portal was there prior), they concluded that Belos and the kids are probably in the Human Realm, though they weren't certain.

So they'd still have an exciting reunion.

Though I'm thinking they did manage to connect once before Belos and the kids returned, via Steven and the Emperor's Coven, with the help of Eda, King, Lilith and Alador managing to make a portal, similar to Luz's attempt in 'Yesterday's Lie'

Something had drawn the panther's attention, bringing her right into her trap, and Clarke didn't hesitate letting herself drop from the tree and on it; she was still wounded but it was too big of an opportunity to let it pass, both in terms of feeding herself and selling the rest so she could keep on surviving. She attacked the beast ferociously, rolling on the ground with it and managing to cut its throat within seconds. She could feel that her wounds had reopened, but before she could do anything about that she stood up and froze, discovering what had attracted the mutated animal from its hiding spot.

"Bellamy." Breathless, and this time not from a blow, Clarke for a moment forgot everything except for the relief that the sight of him always brought, and instinctively moved in his direction - because it was Bellamy, of course she was going to meet him halfway, of course she was going to smile - and then remembered herself, face falling and taking a hesitant step back. He wasn't meant to be there, he wasn't meant to find her. It was all wrong. She couldn't outrun him now, could she?
