🎼Belarusian and Polish folk costumes, requests. Nadzieja from Vileyka (Belarus) is playing the flute at the wedding of her friend Elżbieta, the bride from Krakow (Poland). 💐

🎼Музыкантка Надзея из Вилейки играет на свадьбе своей подруги - краковской невесты Эльжбеты. Вместе они представляют праздничный Вилейский строй (северо-запад Минской и северо-восток Гродненской областей, Беларусь) и свадебный западный Краковский строй (Польша)! Это третья часть костюмных реквестов! 💐

STRÓJ KRAKOWIAKÓW ZACHODNICH. Ludność zamieszkującą tereny rolniczo-przemysłowe położone wokół Krakowa (obecnie wsie te stanowią często jego dzielnice) określa się mianem Krakowiaków Zachodnich.

В белорусском костюме меня всегда восхищает изящество фасона и гармония цвета. Традиционной плечевой одеждой была жилетка «гарсэт»; чудесная тёмно-синяя юбка-андарак, расшитая по подолу бархатом, украшалась особыми петельками - «пуплами». Узор сорочки - «кашулі» - и фартука - «фартуха» - красно-чёрные цветы. Любимый мой белорусский головной убор - капор «каптур» с длинными полосами ткани, поверх которого надевался платок. Что касается музыкального инструмента, то Надзея играет на дудке.

Что касается краковских невест, то на свадьбу девушки надевали венки из ярких искусственных цветов, а сзади крепили банты из пёстрых лент. На Эльжбете рубашка, корсет и длинная юбка с цветочным мотивом, прикрытая чуть более коротким фартуком, закрывающим перед и бока. На плечи невеста накинула тёплую цветастую шаль с узором в виде бутонов роз. Ноги обуты в черные туфли на шнуровке на достаточно высоком каблуке. Дорогое дополнение наряда - коралловые бусы с крестом.

Comments on videos of ruzzian centric history (aka propaganda): Rus is Russia. Great russian history! Russian culture is so long and beautiful. Honestly russians have so much to be proud of.

Comments on videos which correctly recognize Rus as Ukraine, using Ukrainian spelling: Kiev. Ummm actually you can't say (insert ancient Ukrainian person) is Ukrainian, they are actually just Slavic or Ruthenian or Russian. You can't insert modern day politics into this. Russians and Ukrainians didn't exist back then! They were just slavs! Back then they were just russians. You don't know history! Rus is modern day Russia! Kiev. Kiev. Actually they are Russian in the ancient way and not modern way because that's what they were called. Ugh Ukrainians always have to remind us that Rus is Ukrainian.

How come this shit only happens on Ukrainian posts? On ruzzian posts that steal Ukrainian history and push propaganda, people are at awe at what they say. Posts that are factually correct and use Ukrainian spellings and mention Ukraine, suddenly people have a balanced view of history where the predecessor isn't only Ukraine (cough cough yes it is cough cough). This is just a very clear reminder of how people still hate Ukrainians and would prefer ruzzian propaganda over reality.

Also, if you wanna refer to Ancient Ukrainians and Belarusian properly then say Rusians. One s to separate them from modern day russians. It has ALWAYS been spelled with one s, until moscovites stole the name Rus and spelled it with two s's.

The "Americanization of the global internet" post and slow deterioration of local native culture gave me an idea: many users don't even know there is native language communities on this website, so if you know of a regional group/"subculture" on Tumblr, reblog/comment with the tags they use so people can find them and connect with other folks from their countries or speakers of a language they'd like to learn
