there's this aspect of some "positivity movements" that attempt to strip us of normal human emotion. I don't fuck with that odd shit because it doesn't encourage balance. and don't talk to me about being #christlike as if he never had moments of deserved anger and that he never acted on that anger. balance is allowing yourself to experience the normal range of emotions but not drowning in those feelings. I don't owe kindness, humility, compassion or love to anyone who intentionally mistreats me. when I express that I'm hurt, angry, depressed, tired or fed the entire fuck up, don't try to tell me to choose another emotion. I'm more interested in #beinghuman not #beingperfect.

Mom is hurting and it hurts me too. I wish I could endure it better and be a better daughter. But I’m bad at dealing with negativity, especially when it’s someone who has that much power over me. I’ve struggled for a long time to find my own positivity, and to hold on to it. And seeing her give in to it feels like a betrayal (”How dare she externalize her pain?”) and it makes me realize how vulnerable the foundation of my own positivity is.

What does perfect mean to you?

I found some who answered this question somewhere else. I wanted to share them with you. You are more than welcome to answer the question - your meaning is just as important! 

They say practice makes a man perfect. The doctors do medical practice all their life. The lawyers do legal practice all their life. Do they ever become perfect?

I think nothing is actually perfect, but everything put together makes something which is perfect: the universe.

Perfect to me is a goodnight hug and kiss from my granddaughter. That means all is well with her.

I think being perfect is being yourself. Don't let other people bring you down. I mean, I'm 13 with a pink, orange and green Mohawk and I have safety pins and chains on my jeans and I always get dirty looks on the streets - I carry myself with confidence, knowing that as long as think I'm perfect, I am.

Everyone strives to be someone who they think is "perfect". Little do they know the same person they think is perfect looks in the mirror everyday and starts crying, starves themselves, purges, contemplates suicide, hates themselves, maybe even selfharms....they spend all their time wanting to be like someone else, little do they know their ideal person of perfection suffers they same as they do. This world is a vicious circle plagued by society..... Don't go into the circle....you are perfect just the way you are.
