Hello!! I just done reading your "this thing is heavy, can you hold it for me" work.
Can you do another one byt with other characters? Like: Beidou, Kaeya, and Ayato??
THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!!!
genshin characters react to "this thing is heavy, can you hold it for me?" but you held their hand instead pt. 2!!
part 1
a/n: i'm sorry this took months!!!
characters: ayato, beidou, kaeya, gorou, alhaitham, and tighnari
Ayato
“oh? you can just ask one of my retainer dear, i’m sure they wouldn’t mind.” he shot you down quickly with that one and you weren’t sure how to bounce back. perhaps another time then. “o-on a second thought i can just carry it myself.” you couldn’t help but feel disappointed for a second until a familiar gloved hand belonged to your lover engulfed your hand as ayato continued to walk. you smiled happily as you thought that either way you had ended up where you wanted to be even when the male beside you didn’t realize what you were doing.
until you saw him looking at the other way, quietly laughing to himself.
he knew. of course he knew!
Beidou
“not a problem, give it here!” she said as she gave her full attention to you that you almost feel bad when you went put your empty hand on hers. though that did not last long at all when you witness her wide grin already putting the pieces in her mind, as she laughed. “quite the treasure you have here, you sure wanna trust me on holding it?” she says cheerily, going along with you in the best possible way. “yes!” you claimed happily, “well then you can count on me,” she laughs, intertwining her hand with yours, leading you to her ship for yet another fun ride.
Kaeya
“interesting, what could possibly be so heavy yet so small that you have a problem carrying it around?” he smiles as he inspects, grabbing your fist and moving it around up and down. considering how sharp he is, you already knew this was gonna be a total bust the moment you started it, he probably was just pretending for the fun of it. you pouted, retracting your hand to your side.
“it wouldn’t hurt to play along once you know, mr knight?” you said in a joking manner. he only chuckled and raised an eyebrow, “giving up so easily?” you, having nothing to retort against that only rolled your eyes. then he says again, “it’s not that i didn’t like it, i just prefer a more straight-forward tactic?” he says, grabbing your hand and brought it close to his lips as he planted a kiss there. “that’s rich coming from a man who often speaks in riddles.” you laughed, the gesture cheered you nonetheless.
Gorou
“what is it?” he says as he peers closely, already having a hand out. “come here, bring your palm closer,” you say, he obliged without any hesitation. so curious and so trusting. hook, line, and sinker. easily like that, you have captured his hand completely. you turned while giving his hand a good squeeze, wanting to see his expression, but he just looked like his entire system just shut down, until suddenly a color of pink painted his cheeks in more than a nice way. “to be using underhanded tactic like that...” he trailed off, flustered. “you don’t like it?” you asked, while smiling mischievously. a second look on his wagging tail was all it took to know the answer.
“you already know i do...”
Alhaitham
he sighed deeply, knowing what’s gonna come if he didn’t play along to your random antics. he held out his hand, and you intertwined your hand with his. he expected a prank or some sort, but he certainly didn’t expect this. the simple act somehow made the man’s heart fluttered. he went quiet, not really giving an obvious reaction but you could tell by his soft smile he liked it.
“you look pleased,” you teased. “i am,” he said bluntly, giving your hand a squeeze.
Tighnari
he immediately went on and on lecturing you to not overpack and only bring stuff you’re capable of holding, before ending it with a sigh. “give it here,” he said as you held his hand instead. the bow-wielder was stunned for a moment before putting it all together. he smiled, shooking his head in wonderment. “and you just let me went on and on like that? tell me was this worth it?” he raised an eyebrow. “mhm. i quite like your lectures.” you just giggled looking at the defeated expression on his face.
“yeah? then tell me why did you almost eat a poisonous mushroom mere minutes ago, did i not tell you all about it yesterday?” he crossed his arms.
“...for research purposes?”
“i keep telling you that’s not how it works-“

IT'S LOVE, IT'S ROMANCE.
* Being in a relationship w/ them.
* CW / Established relations, GN reader (I thinkies,) not proofread / edited, I'm making this up as I gooo! Sorry if this is OOC, it's been a wwhile since I've genshided?... Genshinend?.... Yknow. this isnt good im ngl. SO RUSHED this is . unbelievable. It's all over the place but
Ningguang, who showers you with anything that you look at when going window shopping. She doesn't even think twice about the price — despite your refusals, and complaints — she gets you to accept it eventually.
Ningguang, who lets you do her hair as a sign of love. She's a busy lady, it's basically a proclamation of love when she spares enough time for you to sit down, comb her hair and braid it, if you're lucky enough.
Ningguang, who hunts out almost every Qingxin when you say one is pretty. Ningguang, who pays for a crate of cecilias when you say you wished they grew in Liyue.
Beidou,, who brings you back stuff from each of her voyages! ! You say you'd like some fabric from Inazuma? Done. You want wine from Mondstadt? Done, even quicker!
Beidou, who collects shells for you from each shore she comes across. All her treasures (shells), are taking up at least 3 drawers. You don't have the heart to stop her, as she seems so happy when she brings you another pouch everytime she's home...
Beidou, who schedules a whole day for cuddling before she leaves. She refuses to take you with her — scared of you getting hurt, or something — so she spends as much time with you as she can. She forces you to clear your schedule to stay in bed with her all morning, not caring if you had a meeting with whoever, wherever.
Lisa,, who constantly uses you as a guinea pig for her potions. You wanna spend time with her? Okay, just drink this!! Of course, she'd never let anything harm you, she only gives you the potions with the silly side effects.
She'd constantly tease you, calling you petnames that not even the flirtest would think of, just for the amusement of seeing you flustered. If you tease her back, though? It's like a compitition of who get's more flustered first. It's gotten so bad, to the point of the library emptying out because of it.
Lisa, who doesn't even spare you from her punishments as a librarian! Oh, you forgot to give her the book last night? No, no, that simply won't do! She can't be stopping her job for her pretty thing, no, not even for you. ...At least she apologizes afterwards.
Furina,, who 'makes' (gets someone else to make) sweets for you. She somehow knows exactly what you want, and exactly when you want it.
She'd also let you sit in on tea parties, right next to her. She'd make you a little hat like her own, like her own little claim on you, making you sit there and look like her pretty little thing.
Furina, who gets flustered the moment you imply going anything romantic. Holding hands? Not that bad, it'll get her a little flustered. Kissing? She feels like she's having a heart attack after the first kiss the two of you share.
She'd get Neuvillette to get you plushies, preferring to stay with you as he goes to find whatever animal she requested this time. She'd get jealous if you picked a plushie to have in your arms instead of her, whining and wiggling around in the bed until you replace the plushie with her.
Please don't steal my work, nor feed it to any sort of AI. Thank you! ♡

rosie! hello, hello :D
I just read your new kazuha fic, and it was so good, I love your writing sm-
If you have time, could I request platonic genshin headcanons with itto, beidou, dottore and tighnari (separately pls) as your older brother?
if not, that's totally fine! have a lovely day :)
Genshin Impact
Character(s): Itto, Beidou, Dottore, and Tighnari
Genre: Fluff
Type: Headcanon
Description: What would these characters be like if they were your sibling?
Warning(s): Gender-Neutral Reader(My Default), Platonic, Dottore is Mean
Hi, hi!! Ahh, I'm so glad you like it \^°^/ it's one of my favorites if I'm being honest! (And not just because Kazuha is one of my favs-)
Thank you for sending me a request, btw! I hope you have a lovely day as well and that you're doing well <33
➢ Itto
Itto, as your brother, is either the absolute best to ever be had or so terrible you'd love to dig yourself into a ditch. There's rarely an inbetween. Despite that, you wouldn't trade him for anything in the world. He's always there for you
Scraped knee? Rushing to you like you're on your last breath. Haven't eaten and need a snack? All of a sudden he's dragging you to a food stall with fifteen mora in his pocket. Feeling a little blue? He's finding something ridiculous to do just to make you smile
Both of you are surely menaces, though
➢ Beidou
Another wild one! Although she's more than aware with how much Ningguang says so
Beidou adores light-hearted pranks whether they're on you or other people, but she makes sure to bring you along for the ride everytime. She's always terribly supportive of what you want to do and encourages you to do what you love rather than something that just pays the bills. And if you want to escape for a while, she'll offer you to join her at sea! Though she can't promise you that no problems will arise..
Often times she'll steal you away as soon as she sees you. Running errands? KIDNAPPED-
➢ Dottore
What a disastrous pair you two are. Shivers are to be felt within your presences! Well, except the fact that no one can really hold a candle to Dottore in terms of being terrifyingly unhinged...you surely have your moments, too, though!
He's the absolute worst - he'll tease you in the most mean way and flick your forehead so hard you'll get a headache. However, Dottore will redirect that aggressive affection if someone decides that they had the right to hurt you- be that mentally or physically. And it won't be affectionate, no no, it'll be their greatest nightmare.
Dottore, as your brother, is distant and harsh with hints of playful poking and prodding, yet more than a little protective. He definitely keeps you away from his lab and anything remotely related to the fatui. It's a bother to answer your endless questions(he's actually just preemptively keeping you safe, though there is a LOT of truth in him finding your insistence annoying :C)
➢ Tighnari
You're both the epitome of passive aggressive and exasperated. Truly, you can't have one without the other! And although you may butt heads every so often, you two get other each better than anyone else.
He still doesn't give you a pass for doing exactly what those silly little adventurers do, though! (follow the rules you gremlin) Conversations about your interests are common, sometimes you both just hang out for a weekend to exchange new information (Presentations? Presentations).
Being siblings with Tighnari is far more relaxed than with the hooligans above for sure, but watch out! He's got his moments!

ROOMATES
pairings: kaeya, albedo, beidou x gn! reader
genre: modern! au, platonic fluff
warning: mentions of alcohol, albedo kinda ooc, mentions of intoxication on beidou's part, all lowercase
(a/n): this has been sitting on my draft like almost a year LMFAO— also, today's my birthday and i decided to drop this here as my greeting??? :") first time writing for genshin woman :'D hope i made this okay
KAEYA:
the social butterfly often brought his friends into your shared apartment. it sometimes irked you especially when you tried to study then loud voices boomed into your ears.
his room would be a mess, with several mugs on his desk, stacks of books and papers, messy sheets... but when his cleaning tendency was kicking, you'd find his room so tidy and clean.
his cooking skill was decent but honestly, you should take away any alcoholic stuff from him when he tried to cook. bro liked to experiment foods with alcohol and most of them tasted like shit.
would join you in watching shows on the tv, whether it was anime, documentary movies, etc.
was loud as hell during the shower. he'd sing and scream at the top of his lungs while rinsing himself. his voice was nice though.
would spam your message with incoherent words, like 'JDHDKDHDKDH' and such, sending you random memes, etc.
ALBEDO:
not gonna lie, you barely saw him since he'd spent all his day in the laboratory or his room. literally just out of your sight which led you to think if he didn't like you.
but when you two met each other, he'd nod as a sign of greeting. it was terribly awkward.
gradually started to stay more in the shared apartment with you. sometimes klee—his adopted sister—would come to visit too.
would join you in playing games and you were kind of surprised to see his usual calm and composed nature turned into a really loud and chaotic one.
was a nice and comfortable person to be around. his calm composure soothed you when you were anxious, he was always there for you if you needed a shoulder to lay on.
BEIDOU:
she often had her friends in your shared apartment. you didn't dislike it though since they were all fun and easy-going.
when beidou first time came home intoxicated, you almost fainted when you tried to carry her since she was *cough* heavy *cough*, not only that, the brunette was fidgety which made you easily tired.
was attentive enough and could guess what was happening to you just by looking at your expression.
an early bird. her voice was literally your alarm. like the moment she yelled: "Y/N, WAKEY WAKEY! RISE AND SHINE!" honestly it was okay to throw your pillows at her at this moment.
always had her songs played loudly in the morning while she was either taking her bath, cooking or just doing anything.

Genshin s/o meets your younger self
Hi everyone! I know I've been inactive for a few months and honestly I've just been so unmotivated lately, but I'm back now! So I've just been having this idea in my head for awhile what if the genshin boys and girls by some mysterious unknown circumstance meet a younger you who's like the polar opposite of who you are now? I thought it'd be interesting to try and write this so if it turns out being crappy I guess I tried lol. Well hope you enjoy! Characters include: Childe, Scaramouche, Heizou, Wriothesley, Beidou, Shenhe, and Yelan.
There will be a Pt.2 to this! Lighting 24680~
ℂ𝕙𝕚𝕝𝕕𝕖/𝕋𝕒𝕣𝕥𝕒𝕝𝕚𝕒/𝔸𝕛𝕒𝕩
Childe has no idea how this happened as he stares at the kid that just appeared in the middle of his fight with a small bunch of treasure hoarders that he’d easily eliminated. The kid looked at him they were the splitting image of his s/o, y/n. The kid looked at him unimpressed as they looked around the “battlefield”. The kid sighs as they walk up to him “look Mister I’ve got no idea in hell who you are or where the hell I am and considering the fact that I’m in what seems like Liyue I’m gonna assume I’m in some fucked up dream" the kid said to him. Childe just stood there unsure of what to say or do.
This kid couldn’t possibly be his calm and polite s/o! Y/n would rather say the most ridiculous phrases they could think of then swear. But the kid standing in front of him looked like a carbon copy of his s/o he couldn’t deny that this was too freaky to be a coincidence.
Childe raised his eyebrow and bent down on one knee so he was eye-level with the kid. He put on his friendliest smile well that's not a very polite thing to say to someone you've just met! He scolded the kid gently before introducing himself. My name is Childe and you are?
Younger you just looked at him in disbelief for a solid minute before questioning in the most sarcastic and mocking tone Childe had heard in his life (seriously this kid could rival Scaramouche!) are you serious? Like legitimately serious...you're name is Childe? Younger you scoffed before a mocking smirk crossed their lips, that's so fucking stupid of course that's your name ginger.
Childe was incredulous, his jaw dropped open at the boldness of this kid! Why listen here you-! Childe was cut off by the kid saying well anyways my name is a LOT better, my name is Y/n don't forget it loser. Childe's eye's widened oh no no no, there wasn't any WAY that this bold, sarcastic little kid was his s/o!!
Oh crap...Childe muttered as he looked at the kid before him who was currently looking away from him bored.
𝑺𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒖𝒄𝒉𝒆~
It had started off as a normal boring day for the sixth harbinger who admittedly had nothing to do and had disappeared from the sight of his subordinates. He would've been with you if it wasn't for your annoyance of a job (being an experienced adventurer in the adventurer's guild). So it came as quite the surprise annoyance of the harbinger to deal with a kid who looked exactly like you.
Scaramouche has never been and will never be someone to ignore the possibilities of supernatural dealings. He doesn't trust the world, why would he not believe in coincidences of all things! How unbecoming of him would that be?
All he does is look at the younger version of you (who had crashed into his legs and had been running from something...) unimpressed. I assume your name is Y/n? He asked with a small sigh of irritation at his walk being interrupted, if only it had been his you that had interrupted him.
Younger you looked at him surprised and not bothering to hide it (unlike him). Wow Mister how'd you know that?! Younger you asks him curiosity swimming in their eyes. Yeah! My name is Y/n the one, the only, at your service...well for the right price! Younger you points their finger at him dramatically a gleam of mischief in their eyes.
Scaramouche has no idea what to do with this younger you, he’s half tempted to just leave this little you here and walk off. However he knows you would scold him big time if he did that curse you for being that metaphorical angel on his shoulder. He sighs irritatedly as he turns to where younger you had been standing only to see younger you was not in fact there…Oh for the love of-! Scaramouche grumbles as he’s forced to now put effort into finding this little you…and off he goes on his new babysitting task.
H⃞ e⃞ i⃞ z⃞ o⃞ u⃞
Heizou the master detective himself! Let’s be honest he’s not gonna be thinking of something supernatural or mysterious or anything along those lines when he walks into the Tenyrou Commision only to see mini you. Surprised yes he 100% is but he gets over it quickly and focuses on how the hell is he going to get mini you back to their timeline?!
Simple answer…he goes to Kujou Sara and charges her with babysitting you while he goes off to investigate what could’ve caused mini you’s appearance. And what a mistake that was!! He got back to the Tenyrou commission only to be told that you had been “kidnapped” by a mysterious tall figure with horns and Kujou Sara had gone after you. Heizou could practically hear his eye twitching in disbelief as he face-palmed and went off to find you, Itto, and Sara.
When he finally finds mini you with Itto his jaw drops because there you are covered in mud and flowers as you giggle and laugh while you beat Itto in an Onikabuto match. He’s practically stunned speechless because the Y/n he knows absolutely HATES being dirty and is very much a “neat-freak” as he so often teases you about. As soon as mini you sees him they come over and drag him over by the hand all the while talking rapidly (in bad grammar might he add!) about “I was totally destroying Mr. Oni here in our Onikabuto face off, and Mr. Detective you should’ve seen how we hid from that tall lady with the red mask!”
Mini you was laughing and talking a mile a second! Heizou just stared as a small smile appeared on his face looks like he had a lot to learn about his s/o from when they were little because as long as he’d known them they’d always talked deliberately and calmly this was so unusual to him and he found himself enjoying it as he sat down with mini you and Itto he finally processed what you’d said. Wait Y/n what did you say you did to the talk lady with the red mask?! He asked you his face going pale as he heard his name yelled angrily in the distance HEIZOU!!!
𝓦𝓻𝓲𝓸𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓼𝓵𝓮𝔂
He’s the Warden of the whole damn Fortress of Meropide and a Duke of Fontaine he’s seen some weird shit before! Hell this man legit has an ancient evil entire SEA that glitters basically in his basement and he’s just above it drinking tea~and going about his day, like he’s gonna be phased by a teenage you appearing outta nowhere.
Anyways it all started with Wriothesley walking into his office and up the stairs only to stop in his tracks and raise an eyebrow as he sees why seems to be you just well…shorter sitting in his chair snoring away and like a classic teenager had your feet propped up on his desk.
Only that wasn’t classic you behavior, you were one of the most polite people Wriothesley knew and he’d never once seen you look so mannerless, it was obvious to him that something had happened to you or at least that this wasn’t his you. So he summons Sigewinne to his office and before she gets there he wakes “you” up. Younger you startles awake with a mumble of what the hell I was having a good dream! Only to see Wriothesley and let out a very undignified yell tumbling out of the chair and onto your ass.
Wriothesley let a smirk flit over his features for a second as he watched you fall out of his chair before saying in a smooth voice “ well good morning to you too little delinquent” he lets out a small chuckle as he stands with his hands in his pockets as he looks down on younger you.Younger you just stares up at him in surprise a disgruntled look on their face before they fully take him in and all they manage to get out is a “holy shit someone pinch me ain’t no way this is real” before suddenly getting knocked out with a tranquilizer dart.
Sigewinne stood in the door way her tranq gun in her hand a proud smile on her face “I’ve knocked the intruder out your grace!” She announced to Wriothesley who just sighs as he looks at younger you’s unconscious form and laughs a little.
Thank you Sigewinne he says exasperatedly before saying I’m going to steep some tea and walking away. How was he going to explain this to Sigewinne he thought to himself as he walked away a glint of amusement in his eyes as he remembered younger you’d reaction to seeing him.
𝔅𝔢𝔦𝔡𝔬𝔲
Beidou is a free spirit and a force to be reckoned with and she loves you to the bottom of the depths and back so when she finds a kid that resembles you sleeping in your spot on your guys shared bed in her cabin instead of you she gets worried. She knows that when she left her cabin last night you had been sleeping there in that exact spot and she’s just a lot little pissed that someone would have the nerve to kidnap you from under her nose on her ship and replace you with some kid! In any case she gently wakes up this supposed random kid only to be shocked when the kid slaps her hand away and sleepily sits up with a yawn. Beidou glares at younger you. Hey you little rascal what’s your name and why in the name of the archons are you on my ship! She proclaims loudly.
Younger you looks at her confused ah my name is Y/n Ms….? Younger you trails off as they stare at Beidou analyzing her clearly planning out what to say as she’s just stuck in place speechless as she looks at this strange kid that is apparently her s/o which is strange because her Y/n certainly doesn’t think before they act as she’s so fondly learned (you once jumped onto a sea monster effectively scaring the shit outta her.)
Beidou keeps staring for a minute before calling up to her crew, SET SAIL FOR JUEYUN KARST!! The adepts should be able to fix…whatever happened here she sighs as she looks at younger you who’s become transfixed with her eyepatch.
𝓢𝓱𝓮𝓷𝓱𝓮
Shenhe takes the situation better than anyone else. In fact she…kinda just assumes this is some human thing she doesn’t understand yet. When she finds little you in your house’s living room curled up on the couch stuffing heartstring noodles into their mouth she doesn’t even question it besides the fact that your in strange clothes she’s never seen before in a color scheme she had no idea you liked, the warm hues surprising her since she’d only ever seen you in cool colors.
My dear why have you…grown smaller? She asks little you politely. Little you turns around confused their mouth half open and noodles dripping out. Who are you? Little you questions her nonchalantly like it was normal for strangers to be in their house but like Shenhe was some “new stranger.”
Now Shenhe is confused little you clearly isn’t her s/o, at least not the version of you that belongs in her timeline. Now that she’s focusing on little you she can sense a faint spiritual energy on you. Oh dear I believe Cloud Retainer may have an answer for this come with me Y/n she tells little you kindly holding out her hand for little you.
Yelan
Yelan works for Ningguang she’s seen weirder things, hell she’s done weirder things. When she finds you randomly out near the golden house after hearing rumors of “a warrior with a red mask inside the golden house” getting prepared to go inside and fight the warrior to claim the Mora, well she’s surprised and then surprise turns to understanding when she sees your small form you can’t be older than 14 she thinks to herself as she makes her way over.
Before you can do anything she’s already tied you up in her hydro ropes and picked you up slinging you over her shoulder with a sigh of amusement. Younger you reacts exactly how she’d expect with a “tantrum” yelling about how some strange lady shouldn’t be trying to kidnap a “formidable fighter.” She chuckled a ghost if a smirk dancing across her lips. Sure little one as if I didn’t just tie you up in the span of two seconds she scold younger you.
Now let’s get you to Bubu Pharmacy I’m sure Dr. Baizhu would be more than happy to help me figure out what happened to my calm and levelheaded s/o she says as she easily carries you towards Liyue Pavilion. All the while younger you is complaining and muttering. Simply put by the time Yelan gets to Bubu Pharmacy her eye is twitching, she has dirt on her outfit, and younger you has one of her gloves in their mouth as a makeshift gag. Baizhu simply raises an eyebrow and opens his mouth to speak before Yelan interrupts him and raises her gloved hand long story she says as she mercilessly plops younger you on the flour with a THUD! Just fix them please she says with a groan.

CAPTAIN'S SEA SHANTY
synopsis: how did a little fisherman like you capture the captains locked up heart?
warnings: none
character(s): beidou
notes: i literally love beidou she's so fine THIS IS BARELY EDITED AND PROBS BAD BERY SORRY
stories of the courageous captain beidou and her treks around all of teyvat with the crux crew at her very command where told from ear to ear. her tall tales were told on the docks plenty by other sailors and venders around liyue harbor, so you always fell victim to hear everything about the captain, it was like you knew every single thing about her. beidou defeating haishan and how people feared her after. how she would kill a man if he were to ever spread falsities about her, even her own crew. that she'd command her ship there the most treacherous weather, fighting lighting and sea monsters and not leaving her crew with a scratch!
you knew better though, you know that beidou wouldn't ever dare kill a man, beccause despite her look, she's sweet and gentle. she visits you when she's back from her trips around teyvet, finding you trinkets and buying you the msot exprensive jewels. she cares about others, like the time she offered to buy you a whole knew venders stand for your fish business. beidou loves to spend her free time fishing with you, though she prefers to fish with her claymore versus a rod like you. beidou who bring you on her ship when no ones on, sending ythe both of you onto the sea. blankets laid out, fresh fruits and two fishing rods, open out in the waters. she'd show you all the best spots for the biggest catch. maybe even have a little competition with you.
when the nights get cold while you're outside, so beidou wraps you both in warm cloths, her arms linked around your waist, pulling you into her chest. the sea whistle beneath you all. she'd lightly kiss your temple as she, like everyone else, mutters on about her big acheivements as captain beidou. you hear it so much so that it hurts, you, a little fisherman with the captain of liyue? cutting off beidous stroy, you mutter against her skin. "what do you see in me?" your pretty little eyelashes per up to hers, her brown eyes dark but so dreamy in the longing moonlight. the twinkle in her eyes showing so much adorn in you that you wouldn't beleieve. what couldn't she see in you? she'd see the way you smile so genuinly at her, and not out of fear. she'd see how hard you wroked everyday. how you'd greet every new day with sich optimism. or how how you'd carass her sore muscles at the end of a strong battle, when you'd hold her hand and walk with her along the shore. she seen the world in your, a world she wanted to be apart. "never compare yourself to anyone, even me. you're too cute to be sad right now. forget about that alright? lets just relax on the sea, where we both belong."
she also forgot to mention how she admired all the large catchers you got, and would spoil her crews ears about how's she got the greatest fisher of all of teyvet at her hip. beidou loved you dearly, like no other. you were her siren at sea, her hidden gem. the best treasure a pirate could ever ask for.

Type: Multi headcannons
Description: Yeah I'm posting day 3 on the 10th...look I tried, I swear but I'm lazy lmao. Basically just some scenarios where the reader calls characters mommy/daddy. Soft mommy and daddy moments as well as...not so soft ones... hehe

Soft Daddy~
He'd groan deeply as you softly moaned out that name, his breaths shortening as his excitement took hold of him. It just sounded so good coming from you..
You'd sharply inhale as he bit down on your shoulder, grinding his hips into yours while the name left your lips again, "Mnnn yes daddy, right there. Please~"
-Cyno, Billy Kid, Ororon, Kinich, Albedo, Xiao, Tighnari, Kaeya, Heizou, Kazuha, Ayato, Alhaitham, Neuvillette, Lyney, Aether
Rough daddy~
"Ahhh! F-fuck daddy!" You'd scream, nails digging into your pillow case as pleasure overwhelmed your body.
He'd be rutting himself in you so deeply, faster and faster as that special word left your dirty mouth again and again. Nothing can stop him now, he needs you, he needs you to be fucked harder then you've ever been. And he needs it now.
-Dottore, Capitano, Wriothesley, Diluc, Scaramouche, Itto, Childe, Zhongli
Soft mommy~
"What do you say? Be a good pet now and use your manners..."
She'd smirk, looking down at you with amused eyes. She loves it when your under her spell like this, helpless under her gaze and quivering like it's your first time. You're completely hers in everyway and you know it.
"P-please mommy, please! I...I'll do anything!"
-Yae Miko, Lisa, Xilonen, Mona, Beidou, Mauvika, Ninguang, Navia, Furina
Dommy mommy~
"Say it again!"
Strands of your hair would catch on her fingers as she yanked it, forcing you to open your mouth while her thick strap dragged in and out of you with no remorse.
You'd be a puddle beneath her, drowning in heat as you tried to call her what she wants, "M-mnmmmm! M-mom-myyy! Nggh! Ahh!" You can't, you're so far gone on her cock you can't speak, just scream incoherent sounds as she fucks into you harder.
-Raiden, Kujo Sarah, Eula, Arlecchino, Dehya, Chlorinde

good day, mister jester :) I see youre taking request. sicne you yourself are a jester, might i ask how the archons would deal with having their own jester? (making silly jokes, harmless pranks etc) how they acquire said jester is up to you!
how the ARCHONS would treat you as their JESTER!
requested by: wonderful sillay anon!!
parings: all archons & jester!reader
content warnings: none!! just silliness
comments: take this as romantic(NOT FOR NAHIDA) or platonic idc HEEHEE!! this is a splendid ask thank u my liege <3 probably ooc
VENTI:
you’re jester’d by him after he found you on the street, while he was bumbling around drunk. thought you were funny, so he just tagged you along!!
and oooh he LOVES you!!! he writes so many songs for you to dance along to, happily singing and strumming his little lyre while you bust a move
if anything its the both of you that are the jesters… instead of you being in a ‘jester & god’ scenario, its more of a ‘jester & jester’ thing. you tell eachother jokes, sing with eachother, etc! and after yall have fun, you lay down in the grass together and snooze :3
ZHONGLI:
you’re jester’d by him after one of the millith recommend you to him, saying many good things about you and your antics!!! he meets you in person and it goes well!!
despite his strong and gentle demeanor, he will giggle and watch you happily. in fact, he actually HELPS you pull off pranks. ranging from replacing all of venti’s sugar with salt, painting on the hull of beidou’s ship, or snatching masks from fatuus, you’re having fun alongside him sometimes!!!
he treats you super well, lavishing you with yummy treats and delicious tea. he makes a little room for you somewhere in the inn, and always makes sure you’re happy and well taken care of.
RAIDEN:
you’re jester’d by her after miss sara almost puts you in jail. thankfully, your silly demeanor and joyous attitude captivated her. so you get to go free! as long as you can provide her some entertainment sometimes.
she actually doesn’t have you entertain her that often, just kinda keeps you around like a cool rock. more often, you’ll find yourself entertaining her guards and her loyal followers instead. which is still nice!
she’ll try her best to take care of you, but ultimately ends up just plopping you in the hands of the people she trusts. she isn’t too fond of your pranks but she loves your performances, so you’re equipped with props and costumes :3
NAHIDA:
you’re jester’d by her after you were grabbed by the scruff by a forest ranger, gently being ushered back into the city like a lost cat. which you might as well be! she saw you, you told her a few jokes and gave her some candy, and she got somewhat attached
she really likes your jokes!!! simple puns only, and the occasional riddle. a lot of the time, she’d actually be telling YOU riddles! sadly they’re very hard to figure out so good luck. you get to teach her about certain jokes but you have to explain the punchlines 50% of the time
life with her is very simple, she holds you as an equal (maybe even as a sibling figure?) unlike other archons like raiden or mavuika. you entertain her, and she entertains you! like a nice equal exchange of knowledge in the form of silly jokes.
FURINA:
you’re jester’d after being caught by the guardes for breaking some obscure law, probably related to a prank you pulled. you’re dragged into court (which breaks your silly heart…), furina sees you, and VERRYY dramatically calls for a halt. she runs away with you(and neuvillette on your tail).
she treats you like a secret, not in a weird way but in a.. whispers to you to go and check out the magazine selection and sends you off like her personal little scarab. it’s very obvious you two are hanging out because BOTH of you became 10x more dramatic, but she refuses everything.
your living situation is like roommates, despite her holding some power over you. neuvillette insisted that you get a separate apartment but you both complained enough to where you got to stay hanging out. you’re like best friends!! you eat sweets together, hang out, etc. she even teaches you some of her super secret acting techniques!!!
MAVUIKA:
you’re jester’d after you become hopelessly lost in natlan, miserably jingling across the floor, and winding up in a family of saurians. she finds you all sad and weeping and ue ue ue, and takes you in like a little baby birdie.
actually, you don’t do much entertaining with her! when you do, it’s usually her trying to train you to become strong. thankfully your little kicks and sad punches don’t do much to her. so to cheer you up, she lets you tell her riddles and stories and jokes. turns out she is a SUCKER for puns.
you get to hang out in natlan wherever you want, like tossing a bird in the air and letting it fly away for a bit. your best nap spot is in a very cramped little cave, all cozied up with one blanket to make the edges less sharp. surprisingly it’s very cozy! you can even curl up above on the rocks like a lizard!!!!
TSARITSA:
you’re jester’d by her after a few fatuus find you all sad and wet in the city, jingling about and being a general disturbance to the peace (as god intended). you’re dragged all the way to the palace, to get judged. you’re not put in as a harbinger but you get to be a fool one way or another!
speaking of harbingers, they either love you or hate you. the tsaritsa will always ensure your safety from the weirdness of dottore and the edginess of signora, but you can’t help but be a little upset by them. she’ll wipe your tears and allow you to dance around the palace to help you feel better :3
you get free reign over the palace whether the harbingers like it or not. curled up on lab tables, hunched under chairs, maybe stealing a fatuu grunt’s bed, etc. and they don’t get to say anything bad about you because you’re the tsaritsa’s special little jester! pierro is still upset that you stole his cool nickname though
eat up my liege… leave no crumbs either. i just swept the floor

How they react to you being hurt.
Cute character x reader that popped into my head. Mild OOC yandere vibes. Genshin Impact scenario's to help with that seasonal depression. Requests are still closed.
Was not proofread! I'm still getting in the swing of things. I made this mainly to help get my writing back on track.
Xiao, Kazuha, Zhongli
Xiao♡
♡ His eyes widen at the site of blood trickling along your arm, unbeknownst to you.
♡He hurries over to you with the speed of a concerned partner. Much like he does anytime you are in danger or hurt. Xiao was always so concerned with your well being. After all you two have been through he finds himself wanting to protect you more and more as the months pass.
♡His yellow hues would scan over every part of you, taking in your figure with worry plastered all over his face. "Tell me what happened." His voice was strict, but caring. Curious hands would reach out for you, gently taking your arm to cradle the weeping wound as he scans the now bruising mark. "Hilichurls ran me out of the woods today. I must have gotten hit when I was trying to escape."
♡ Taking in your words he stopped his anger from bubbling up for now. His sharp eyes would examine the gash intensely as he began cleaning it with a damp cloth. A hiss of pain leaves your lips causing him to freeze, the cloth hovering over the wound.
♡concerned eyes gaze down at you as he silently waits for you to approve of his first-aid. Nodding your head in response he continues to clean the wound.
♡ Once the blood is cleared from your skin, he grabs a fresh gauze, wrapping it expertly around your arm. A soft smile rests on his face as he examines his work. Pride swells in his chest as he takes in how well he helped you.
♡But that was short lived because he was quickly standing tall, making his way to the door to face off against the monsters that harmed you. The mask he usually adorned in battle was brought to his face as he summoned his weapon. His weapon creaked under his vice grip as he vanished into a puff of black and teal smoke surly going off to kill your attackers.
Kazuha◇
◇ His eyes would widen at the site of you being carried aboard the ship by captain Beidous crew members. Blood dripped along your face as you were sat beside a few unconscious fighters.
◇Before he knew it he was by your side, reaching down to grab your hand. Kazuha had seen the aftermath of war so he was skilled with first aid, and comforting those in pain. "Tell me what happened." Your tired eyes peer up at him as he brings your head to rest on his lap. "Vision hunters."
◇His eyes dart to where he knows your vision usually is and he feels a wave of relief wash over him seeing the gods blessing was still attached to your arm. He smiles softly at you before tucking his hair behind his ear.
◇ "Glad to see you didn't let them have it so easily. I'm very proud of you for standing your ground." He helped the first responders of the ship that hurriedly rushed around giving proper medical attention to those who needed it, but he made sure to pay extra attention to you.
◇Kazuha held you softly, whispering to you his most recent haiku as his way of comforting you. Skilled hands brush along the back of your head as you laid in his arms, wrapped up in gauze like some half baked mummy.
◇His soft red hues gaze down at you lovingly as he makes sure you're well taken care of. It was too risky to move you right now so you both would enjoy a beautiful night under the stars tonight. He would be sure to give those who harmed you a proper burial once his informant gathered their location.
Zhongli ¤
¤ Your eyes danced along the horizon as the fireworks sounded around you. You had been working hard all week and finally had a day to yourself, well sort of. A tall man dressed in a very respectable suit stood right beside you. This man being someone you've recently befriended.
¤ You smile up at him holding out a small bag filled with candies and sweets from the festival happening around you. With a glint of joy in his eyes he takes only one piece, saving the rest for you. "I insist on you holding onto those. I fear if I have too many I may not be able to enjoy other foods." He clearly jokes as you both move through the crowd. That's when you felt a sharp pain shooting through you.
¤Within seconds you're whisked away. The world around you blurs and you fall unconscious.
¤ Waking up you find yourself patched up along your side. Zhongli sat beside you, cradling your hand in his as he told you what happened. Some theif that panicked after a failed robbery had fled the scene, stabbing multiple people in the city.
¤Zhongli's golden eyes drank up your soft face, something hiden well behind his them. If you were not as empathetic as you were you certainly would have missed it. Animosity.
¤ "You are safe now. There is no need to worry about him. He has been captured and is awaiting trial." Your heart skips a beat as your eyes lock onto his. What you didn't know is there will be no trial. There wasn't even a body to be found. Not anymore.

Navia, Lisa,Beidou, Sara likes to rest their boobs on their S/Os head. S/O has a strong neck luckily
Them resting their breasts on readers head
characters: Navia / Lisa / Sara x gn!reader (separate)
warnings: nothing too suggestive. But it’s more than handholding, so consider yourself warned
a/n: Cut out Beidou bc I usually only write up to 3 characters per request and she was the one I had least of an idea what to write for.
Anyway, hope you enjoy!
Navia
Navia and you had a very physical relationship, from holding hands, hugging each other whenever you met or cuddling when it was just the two of you, you had long grown accustomed to it. And while you kept it to an absolute minimum when the two of you were at work, the same could not be said about whenever Navia visited your office while you were busy filling out whatever paperwork you had left.
Just as she wouldn’t want to be interrupted however, the Spina’s President made sure not to distract you from your own, either relaxing on the couch or helping you avoid becoming too bored with smalltalk. And yet sometimes, simply talking to you wasn’t enough. Navia moving closely behind you as she moved her arms around your neck and began leaning against your chair as the two of you continued to talk.
All the while a new weight would be placed upon your shoulders… or more specifically. Your head.
The first few times it happened, you became completely unable to focus on your work. You may have never been able to bring it over your heart to tell her, but the paperwork you spent the rest of your workday pretending to fill out cost you countless nights. And yet, you decided to keep your mouth shut, simply deciding to learn how to continue to work through it instead of confessing just how distracting it was.
Because, while you weren’t shameless enough to outright state it, you didn’t mind. Far from it.
“Did you take care of the pothole I asked you about?” Navia cut through the comfortable silence as she stole a glance down at whatever paper you were currently working on, and while her question may have been about work, you wouldn’t have been able to tell from her tone alone. Her voice sounding more as if she had just asked you about how your day had been than anything else.
“I made sure it was fixed as quickly as possible”, answered, causing Navia to let out a small chuckle. You may have been reliable enough normally, but whenever she asked you to do something you gave everything you could possibly muster to make sure it was done as quickly and perfectly as possible.
Almost subconsciously, Navia moved her hand to pat your head, only to quickly remember that it was already occupied when she looked down on your head, a sudden thought crossing her mind.
“Say, isn’t it distracting to have me hug you while you work?” She thought out loud, earning herself a confused hum in response before you quickly responded.
“No, it’s fine. Don’t worry.”
“Are you sure? You don’t need to worry about hurting my feelings-”
“I wasn’t trying to protect your feelings. It’s fine the way it is, no need to move”, you cut her off almost frantically, only for your ears to turn ever so slightly red as Navia stared at you in stunned silence.
And then she let out a small laugh before returning her arms around your neck.
“Alright.”
Lisa
You have always had a hard time believing Lisa would accidentally lean against you in such a way that her breasts ended up resting on your head, something only made more difficult with each time the librarian suddenly caught herself doing it. Especially since she never seemed to learn from her mistakes, the same scenario occurring each and every time you found yourself in an almost completely abandoned library.
Once upon a time, you were embarrassed whenever it happened. Your face would heat up as you nervously tried to decide whether to tell her or not, only for it to happen more frequently the more accentuated your reaction was. Those days had long since passed, and yet Lisa’s accidents were far from being a thing of the past.
And so, you weren’t all too surprised when you suddenly felt the familiar weight on your head, your eyes not leaving the book in your hand for even a moment as a brief greeting escaped your lips, too used to it all to care too much.
And yet it all changed when you heard the familiar creaking sound of the library’s door swinging open, your eyes widening when it became clear Lisa had no intention of moving.
Her teasing was one thing. Someone else seeing you like this however? That was a whole different story. One you preferred nobody to be able to tell.
“You had your fun Lisa. Can you stop for today?” You asked meekly, not wanting anyone to hear your slightly panicked voice.
“What are you talking about, my cutie?” Lisa asked innocently, only for you to hold back a sigh response.
“My head.” You responded sternly, only to receive a small chuckle from her.
“You didn’t seem to mind it before.”
“Because I know you’re going to do your thing. And we were alone before”, came your whisper, no longer being able to pretend your gaze was on the lines in your book as you scanned whatever surroundings you could see without having to move.
“Are you embarrassed?”
So that’s what this was about.
“Would you reposition yourself if I admitted that I was?” You asked, only to receive nothing but silence in response, a sigh escaping your lips before you once again opened your mouth.
“Yes, I am.”
And just like that, it was like a weight was lifted from your shoulders, literally, as Lisa sat down next to you, a book of her own in her hands as her eyes briefly scanned the title of yours.
“Oh, I haven’t read that one in a while. Mind letting me read it once you’re done?”
Sara
Whenever Sara and you went over possible tactics, time-schedules for operations or the next couple of days or simply tomorrow’s training you liked to remain seated in your chair, having whatever papers you were working on laid out in front of you as you filled them out. The general however, often found herself walking around the room when your meetings drew out, trying to keep her mind sharp as you discussed plans.
Today was one such days, and as you heard Sara pace around behind you, your gaze remained locked on the schedule in front of you, pen in hand as it was ready to be swung around to correct any mistakes or adjust the plans accordingly. Yet as you tried to follow her thoughts, you quickly found yourself losing her.
“Sara? You said we’d let the troops take a small break after the march, right?” You interrupted her, only to quickly receive a response in the form of an acknowledging hum, causing you to continue.
“Where is this march? I can’t find it anywhere in the schedule”, you asked again, only for Sara to quickly approach the desk from behind before leaning over from behind you and pointing at one of the papers, asking you something you’d wish you could understand.
And yet your mind had left the papers in front of you a long time ago, your face heating up ever so slightly as you felt a sudden new weight on your head.
“Does that answer your question?” Sara asked, only to receive no answer in response, confusion and a bit of worry overtaking her mind the longer you remained silent.
“Are you alright?” She broke the silence once again, causing you to quickly try to ease her worries, only for your nervous stutter to intensify them.
“Uhm. S-Sure!”
“Don’t lie to me. Look me in the face-”, Sara demanded as she looked down to see yours, only to quickly notice the problem herself. The general taking a large step backwards as her own face turned a deep red, struggling to regain her composure for several minutes of excruciating silence as neither of you said a word.
And then, finally. You broke it.
“...so the break. 90 Minutes?”
“An hour should be sufficient.”

This Year.. Maybe
Chapter 1: April 10 - So Close Yet.. So Far
5YNOPSIS: As fourth year begins, Kazuha steps into his sudden role as class president. But when a familiar presence enters the classroom, his carefully built composure wavers. A brief, awkward exchange during seating arrangements brings back a memory from two years ago.. a moment that changed everything for him Tags: KAZUHA X READER... not yet, fluff, modern au, high school setting in Inazuma, TOMO'S ALIVE! (i know that's not his actual name..) Heizou and Beidou Appearance, Unrequited Love/Pining (for now), reader's action is written as - You did this bla bla bla, Use of [Y/N]
WC: 4, 491
A/N: This was originally intended to be a oneshot, but as I started writing more, I found there were too many scenarios I wanted to explore.... So, I decided to turn it into a series instead! This chapter was the original oneshot, with a few added details and adjustments!! - anyone else want to be tagged..?
The morning sun peeked through the pale curtains of Kazuha’s room, dappling the wooden floor with light. The faint rustle of cherry blossoms outside blended with the distant chirping of birds, creating a serene melody.
Kazuha stirred under the soft covers of his futon, blinking groggily at the sunlight filtering through pale curtains.
“HEY! Kazuha!” Beidou’s voice rang out from downstairs, full of its usual lively energy. “If you don’t get up soon, you’re gonna be late! Dont make me drag you!”
Kazuha groaned, sitting up and trying to rub the sleep from his eyes. “I’m up..!” he called back, though the lethargy clinging to his limbs said otherwise.
He shuffled toward the bathroom, splashing his face with cold water in a bid to wake himself fully.
His reflection stared back at him, hair disheveled, crimson eyes half-lidded still lingering sleep.
By the time he stepped into the shower, the cold water immediately woke up his mind.
He lingered longer than usual, letting his thoughts drift.
Today was the start of his final year in high school.
The idea brought a strange mix of anticipation and unease, but one thought stood out above the rest: You.
Your name had been in the same class as his.. Class 4-B
Kazuha’s heart quickened as he recalled seeing it, placed among his future classmates. After years of fleeting glances and quiet admiration, fate had placed you in the same class...
Was it a sign? Or perhaps just a cruel trick to test his resolve?
He sighed, stepping out of the shower and toweling off. He dressed with practiced efficiency, smoothing the crisp fabric of his uniform and tying his hair into its usual loose ponytail.
Downstairs, the aroma of grilled fish and steamed rice greeted him, and Kazuha’s stomach growled in appreciation.
Beidou was already seated at the table, leaning back in her chair with an air of casual confidence. “Finally decided to grace us with your presence, huh?” she teased, grinning as Kazuha slid into his seat.
“You’re up early,” Kazuha replied, helping himself to a serving of rice and miso soup.
“Had a shipment to oversee at dawn...” Beidou said, waving a hand. “But I wouldn’t want to miss seeing my kid off on his first day back.”
Kazuha’s lips curved into a faint smile. Beidou wasn’t one for traditional displays of affection, but her pride in him was evident.
As they ate, she leaned forward, resting her chin on her hand. “So, what’s the plan this year, Kazu? Flying under the radar like always?”
Kazuha paused, chopsticks hovering mid-air. “Something like that,” he said lightly, though his thoughts were anything but simple.
Beidou raised an eyebrow but didn’t push.
Instead, she smirked. “Well, don’t let ’em push you around. You’re a Kaedehara, after all! Go make a splash!!"
He chuckled softly. “I’ll keep that in mind.”
After breakfast, Kazuha shouldered his bag and made his way to the door. Beidou followed, leaning against the frame as she watched him slip on his shoes.
“Good luck, kid,” she said, ruffling his hair as he straightened.
Kazuha glanced back, his eyes soft. “Thanks, Mom.”
The air was crisp and refreshing as Kazuha stepped outside, his satchel slung loosely over one shoulder. The cobblestone path that led to the heart of Inazuma City were now covered with the petals of the sakura trees. Each step he took stirred a few fallen petals into the air.
For most, this was simply another school day.
But for Kazuha, it felt like something more.
The idea of starting his final year was enough to make him reflect.. about everything.. but knowing that you would share his classroom this year had sent his emotions into overdrive.
The streets bustled with life as merchants opened their stalls and mothers ushered their children along. Kazuha weaved through the familiar sights.
As he passed by the riverbank, he couldn’t resist pausing for a moment. The gentle ripple of the water reflected the cherry blossoms overhead, and for the briefest of moments, Kazuha felt his heartbeat to steady.
But the memory of seeing your name on the class roster made his pulse quickened when he’d first spotted it. His lips quirked into a faint smile as he recalled.
[Y/N].
In Class 4-B.
With me.
It wasn’t as if you’d never noticed him before—you’d exchanged polite nods, once or twice—but this year felt different.
The proximity, the potential for interaction, and the possibility to finally close the distance between you—it was both exhilarating and terrifying...
As the school gates came into view, his stomach churned with nervousness. Students in their uniforms crowded the courtyard, their chatter blending into a harmony of excitement.
Kazuha slipped through the crowd, trying to mask his inner storm of emotions under his calm exterior. His destination was the bulletin board, where students gathered to confirm their class placements.
The board was covered in lists of names, neatly organized by class and year. He moved to the front, his heart beating just a little faster with each step. As he stood there, the names on the list blurred together for a moment—until he found it.
1. Kirara 2. Kuki Shinobu 3. Shikanoin Heizou .............
His gaze flickered from the first name to the last.
Kirara’s name made him smile a little, thinking of her playful, hardworking nature, always so full of energy.
Kuki Shinobu’s name, though, was a comfort—her sharp mind and calm demeanor were qualities Kazuha appreciated.
Then, of course, there was Shikanoin Heizou, with his tendency to be both mischievous yet quick-witted, he was the type of person who could get away with anything with just a wink and a smile.
But it was the last name that truly made his heart skip 7. Kaedehara Kazuha 8. [Your Name]
His fingers hovered over the list, still not quite believing it. There you were, placed right beside him in Class 4-B.
The sheer coincidence—could it be? Was this some sort of sign, or was it just luck?
He blinked, trying to steady his breath, but all the excitement and nerves seemed to rush into him at once.
In that moment, Kazuha allowed himself a soft, fleeting smile that no one else would notice, but it made his heart feel lighter.
He stepped back to let the next student through, slipping his hands into his pockets as he made his way toward the classroom, his heart warm with anticipation.
By the time Kazuha reached Class 4-B, the classroom was already beaming with excitement as students were catching up on their vacations, gossiping about the summer, and speculating on what this year would bring. Some were still settling into their seats, others chatting with familiar faces.
As Kazuha settled into his usual seat by the window, he couldn’t help but notice the gentle rustle of the curtains in the breeze. The room felt alive with promise...
His gaze drifted lazily toward the front of the classroom, and for the briefest moment, his mind wandered to other matters—the sea breeze, the distant rustle of leaves, and the soft hum of nature just outside the classroom walls.
It was a familiar feeling, like the world outside was calling him, reminding him that there were places beyond this room.
But today, everything felt heavy with anticipation, tethering him here.
His fingers lightly traced the edge of his desk as he waited for the bell to ring, the subtle pulse of his heartbeat was now an erratic drumbeat in his chest.
Finally, the door creaked open, and in walked Mr. Takahashi, the homeroom teacher.
"Good morning, Class 4-B!" Mr. Takahashi greeted, his voice steady and authoritative.
He was the.. sort of teacher who commanded attention without needing to raise his voice, a quiet confidence in his demeanor that immediately settled the room.
"Let’s get started."
As he walked toward the front, there was a palpable shift in the air.
The students, who had been chatting away moments ago, began to quiet down, eyes turning towards the front.
Kazuha felt the familiar stir of unease in his stomach, the sense that something was about to happen—something he couldn’t quite control.
Mr. Takahashi cleared his throat to get everyone's attention, "Before we get into the schedule for the year, there’s something we need to address. It's time for our class officer elections."
A collective groan echoed through the room, the sound of students who didn’t particularly care for responsibilities.
Then, there was a moment of silence as everyone waited for someone to take the initiative. After all, the elections was never something people eagerly volunteered for—it was just a formality, a necessary duty to get through the year.
Kazuha, ever the quiet observer, leaned back in his chair, his hands on his lap. He wasn’t particularly concerned about the election.
He’d been elected in other class officer roles in the past without much fuss.
It wasn’t also that he disliked it... it was simply that he preferred to lead quietly, from the background.
He had never been one to demand the spotlight.
"Alright, well then.." Mr. Takahashi continued, breaking Kazuha’s thoughts, "Let’s get started. I’ll open the floor for nominations. Who would like to volunteer for the position of class president?"
Silence.
Kazuha’s gaze shifted, taking in the faces of his classmates. No one seemed eager to take the lead, and the air was thick with reluctance.
His thoughts began to drift again, as they often did. He didn’t mind being the class president, but the position came with expectations.
Expectations that made him a little uneasy.
He wasn’t about to nominate himself too.
He wasn’t particularly sure that anyone else would nominate him, either. He had always been more of a quiet leader, stepping in when necessary but never pushing himself forward.
The minutes ticked by, the only sound in the room being the occasional rustle of a student shifting in their seat.
Then, unexpectedly, a voice pierced the silence.
"I nominate Kaedehara Kazuha!"
Kazuha’s eyes widened, his body stiffening in surprise. He turned toward the back of the room, where the voice had come from. Tomo—one of his closest friends—was grinning widely at him, hands raised in a mock salute.
"I SECOND THE NOTION!" another voice chimed in, Heizou's...
Kazuha blinked, his mind racing. He hadn’t anticipated this.
He hadn’t even thought to volunteer, much less be nominated so quickly. The idea of being class president was one thing, but having it thrust upon him in front of the whole class was... different.
He glanced around the room, his eyes scanning the faces of his classmates, most of whom were already looking toward him with varying degrees of curiosity.
A wave of heat crept up his face. He wasn’t entirely sure why his heart rate had picked up so suddenly. It was just an election, after all.
And yet, there was something about the way they were all looking at him now that felt... he wasn’t sure how to explain it.
Mr. Takahashi glanced over at him, eyebrows raised. "Well, it seems we have a nominee." He looked toward the class. "All in favor of Kaedehara Kazuha as class president, raise your hands!"
Kazuha didn’t move.
His gaze flicked from hand to hand as they shot up around the room—some with enthusiasm, others with casual indifference.
But then, in the middle of it all, he saw it.
Your hand.
You were raising your hand..
Kazuha’s heart skipped a beat, and he had to take a sharp breath to steady himself.
He hadn’t expected that.
The warmth of your gesture, the way your fingers moved so naturally in the air, felt like a soft reassurance.
He wasn’t sure why it made him feel like his entire world had shifted just a little.
When the votes were tallied, Mr. Takahashi nodded. "Looks like it’s unanimous! Kaedehara Kazuha, is now our new class president."
The class broke into applause, the sound echoing in his ears. Kazuha stood up, feeling the weight of everyone’s eyes on him. It wasn’t that he hadn’t held leadership positions before—but this time, it felt different.
This time, he couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more at play than just being the class president.
As the applause died down, Kazuha cleared his throat, raising his hands in an effort to calm the room. "Thank you," he said, his voice steady despite the churn of emotions inside him. "I’ll do my best to make this year run smoothly."
He tried not to let his nerves show, keeping his gaze steady as he surveyed the class.
It was only when his eyes caught yours again, the soft smile on your lips, that he felt a sense of calmness..
After the election concluded and the classroom settled into a familiar rhythm of idle chatter, Mr. Takahashi waved Kazuha over to the front desk. A neat pile of name cards lay waiting, along with a seating chart template.
“As our esteemed class president,” Mr. Takahashi began with a playful grin, “you get the honor of helping me decide everyone’s seating. and if you can avoid putting people with, uh, ‘history’ near each other, you’ll have my eternal gratitude."
“Understood, sir.” Kazuha chuckled lightly, though he felt an almost absurd level of responsibility. It wasn’t that assigning seats was difficult... it was the knowledge that where people sat might define their year.
Would friendships blossom? Would rivalries form? Would someone sit beside someone they secretly admired?
Would he...?
As he flipped through the cards, your name appeared.
It stood out.
Not because the ink was bolder or the letters more elegant, but because it carried a weight only he could see...
His fingers lingered on it for a heartbeat too long before he gently placed it down.
He began filling the chart, hoping to create a fair balance. The chatter of the classroom felt distant as he arranged friendships and personalities.
But when it came to assigning his own seat..
He faltered.
Kazuha closed his eyes briefly, a silent prayer forming.
"To any deity, archon, or celestial being who might hear me... let me sit with [Y/N]."
It was foolish. Selfish... even.
But the thought of being close to you—of seeing you not just as a distant admiration but as a part of his daily life—made his heart race in ways that scared him as much as they thrilled him.
Then, he carefully placed your name beside his own.
“Finished?” Mr. Takahashi asked, peering over Kazuha’s shoulder.
“Yes,” Kazuha replied, keeping his tone even despite the small scare Mr. Takahashi had given him.
“Great. Let’s see how long it takes for complaints to start rolling in,” the teacher joked, pinning the chart to the board. “Everyone, find your new seats!”
The classroom buzzed as students gathered around the chart. Kazuha remained at his desk, his expression calm though his fingers tapped a silent rhythm against his thigh.
He didn’t look up, not even when he heard footsteps approach.
“Looks like we’re seatmates,” you said, breaking the silence.
Kazuha glanced up, his breath catching for a split second. You stood beside him, your smile easy and unguarded, as if this was the most natural thing in the world.
“Yes,” he replied, though his voice wavered. He cleared his throat quickly, composing himself. “It seems so.”
You tilted your head slightly, amused by his formal tone. “Looking forward to the year, Kaedehara-san!"
His name on your lips felt like a melody. “A-As am I,” he stammered, cursing himself inwardly for the awkward response.
As you settled into your seat, Kazuha couldn’t help but steal a glance. Your attention had already shifted to arranging your supplies, but to him, the moment lingered like a dream he wasn’t ready to wake from.
Then... the memory resurfaced with startling clarity as Kazuha caught the faintest scent of cherry blossoms drifting through the open window.
Second Year Sports Day
The school’s sports day had arrived, and with it, the usual mix of excitement and energy that buzzed through the air.
While the rest of the school seemed to vibrate with uncontainable enthusiasm, Kazuha found himself sitting at the edge of the track, away from the heart of the festivities. His usual spot under the large sakura tree, a quiet refuge, stood at the farthest corner of the grounds.
The cool shade beneath the tree provided a temporary escape from the groups of students, their cheers and shouts muffled by the distance.
The only sounds Kazuha truly heard were the occasional rumbles of laughter and the rustling of the leaves overhead.
He opened his notebook, the familiar pages welcoming him like an old friend. He’d been trying to write a poem about spring, something inspired by the energy of the day...
Yet, as his pen hovered over the first line, he found himself distracted. His thoughts wandered, and the words refused to come.
His gaze drifted across the field, where students in brightly colored uniforms lined up for their respective events.
Some were stretching, some were chatting, and others were just as focused as he had hoped to be in his writing.
Yet, it wasn’t their energy that caught his attention.
It was you.
There you were, standing in the middle of your relay team, adjusting the ribbon on your uniform.
It wasn’t that you stood out because of any particularly noticeable trait.
You weren’t the loudest, nor were you drawing attention with over-the-top theatrics.
Instead, it was in the way you carried yourself.
Your eyes seemed to be focused on the track ahead, and your smile was soft yet determined. It was clear you were nervous, but there was an undeniable strength in the way you held your own.
As you adjusted the straps of your shoes, your hands moving in practiced motions, Kazuha felt an unfamiliar tightness in his chest. It was a strange feeling, one he couldn’t quite place.
He watched as you laughed at something your teammate said, your voice ringing clearly through the air, and for a moment, time seemed to stop.
He didn’t know why he couldn’t look away, why his thoughts were suddenly so jumbled. All he could do was watch as you leaned forward, preparing for the race to begin.
The whistle blew, sharp and clear, cutting through the air. The race started with a burst of energy. You took off down the track with the other runners, your legs pumping with determination, your face set with concentration.
You weren’t the fastest.
In fact, Kazuha knew that the fastest runners were already ahead, but there was something about the way you ran.
It wasn’t about speed.
It was about perseverance, about staying steady no matter the odds.
There was no frenzied urgency to your movements. You were calm—almost serene—despite the pressure of the race, despite the adrenaline coursing through your veins.
It was as if the entire world had fallen away, leaving only the rhythm of your body and the goal ahead.
The baton exchange came, and Kazuha’s eyes followed every move. As you passed the baton, you didn’t falter.
You didn’t hesitate.
The way you handed off the baton was smooth, like you’d done it a thousand times. Your face, flushed with effort, broke into a brief smile as you cheered for your teammate who took off next.
It wasn’t a smile directed at anyone in particular. It was a natural, easy smile—a smile that felt effortless and genuine, as if you weren’t concerned with anything other than the moment itself.
Kazuha couldn’t explain it, but that smile...so simple
Made something stir deep within him...
His hand, still gripping the pen, trembled slightly.
He was so absorbed in watching you that he didn’t realize his notebook had slipped from his lap and fallen to the ground with a soft thud.
The noise startled him out of his daze, and for a brief moment, he blinked in confusion as he looked down at the notebook, now on the grass beside him.
He shook his head, trying to clear the sudden fog in his mind.
But the moment he lifted his gaze again,
There you were—laughing with your teammates, clearly exhausted but no less joyful...
And suddenly, it hit him.
He hadn’t noticed you before.
Not like this.
Not until now.
The noises of the crowd faded, the rustling of the leaves turned into a soft murmur.
The only thing that mattered was you—your laughter, your smile, your quiet strength as you cheered on your friends.
In the space of a single moment, his world had shifted.
For the first time, Kazuha felt something he couldn’t explain—a pull, an unshakable weight in his chest.
Now, you were all he could see.
In his reverie, he didn’t hear the bell ring or the shuffle of students around him.
He was lost in the memory, feeling that familiar warmth rise in his chest, the same warmth that had blossomed quietly within him since that day.
But then a soft voice broke through the haze of nostalgia, sharp and clear.
“Kaedehara-san?” The sound of your voice snapped him back to the present, and Kazuha blinked, looking up in mild surprise. You were standing by his desk, your gaze not quite meeting his but still focused on him with an expression that held something like concern, a faint smile tugging at your lips.
“Kaedehara-san,” you repeated, your tone playful yet gently questioning. “Are you daydreaming...? You looked like you were a million miles away!"
Kazuha felt his heart leap in his chest.
The gentle teasing was enough to make him realize just how lost he’d been in his thoughts.
He quickly shook his head, trying to mask his embarrassment with a sheepish smile. “Ah, sorry, I—was just thinking.”
Your smile softened, though the hint of amusement still lingered. “I figured,” you said, tapping your fingers on his desk lightly. “You seemed so... far away.”
“Ah... I didn’t mean to seem distant,” he stammered, immediately trying to explain himself, but the words escaped him as quickly as they had arrived.
Instead, he offered a small, embarrassed laugh. “I guess I got a little lost in my head.” It was then that he realized he hadn’t even noticed when the class had finished, or how the others were packing up for lunch.
The room was quieter now, with only a few lingering conversations and the shuffle of bags and chairs. “Hmm, well, it’s good to know I wasn’t the only one spacing out,” you said with a small wink. “You’ve been pretty focused all morning. Do you need a break?”
Kazuha opened his mouth to respond but found himself at a loss for words.
His heart was still racing a little, not entirely from embarrassment, but from the realization that you were still here, still so close.
His chest tightened in a way he couldn’t quite explain, a feeling that had been growing steadily ever since he sat beside you today.
“I’m... I’m fine,” Kazuha managed, though his voice was quieter than he intended. He quickly gathered his things—his notebook, pen, and the scattered bits of paper that had somehow gotten mixed up throughout the morning—and began packing them into his bag.
But his thoughts wandered again, despite his best efforts to stay focused.
How could he tell you what had been on his mind for so long? How could he put into words the feelings that had been growing within him ever since that second year Sports Day?
He couldn’t, not yet. He wasn’t ready.
But as you turned to walk away, your voice lingered in the air. “Well, I’ll let you catch up on your thoughts then, Kaedehara-san. Don’t work yourself too hard, okay?”
Kazuha watched you go, his heart racing in his chest as the words you’d said echoed in his mind. "Don’t work yourself too hard."
How could he explain that it wasn’t work, but something much more complicated?
That it wasn’t just the class, or the presidency, or the seat arrangement that filled his thoughts..
It was you.
But he remained silent, and he let you walk away, his gaze lingering on the space where you had sat.
Later that evening, after the weight of the day had lifted,
Kazuha sat by his window, the sky had deepened into dusk, the stars flickering above like distant fires, and the air was cool.
It was quiet in his room, aside for the soft rustle of the wind and the occasional chirp of crickets in the night.
The silence gave him the space he needed to think, to process the emotions that were swirling within him... tangled and messy.
He had been thinking of you all day... how you had smiled at him when you called him out of his thoughts, how your voice had sounded when you’d asked if he was okay.
It had been casual.
But there was a depth to it that he couldn’t shake.
The truth was, Kazuha had known for a long time that his feelings for you had deepened.
Ever since that Sports Day in his second year, he had watched you from the shadows, silently admiring you from afar.
He had told himself, back then, that it was just a passing crush, something that would fade with time.
But it hadn’t.
It had only grown stronger, more persistent, like a plant planted deep in his heart that refused to wither.
And now, in his fourth year, here he was—seated beside you.
His heart pounding every time your voice brushed against his ear. He had told himself that the new school year would be the one where he finally found the courage to tell you.
But each time he thought about it, the fear gripped him all over again.
What if you didn’t feel the same? What if, by speaking his heart, he destroyed the quiet connection he had with you?
Kazuha closed his eyes for a moment, leaning back in his chair. “I have to tell them,” he whispered softly to the stars outside, as if seeking some cosmic answer. “This year, I have to.”
But as he sat there, a pang of longing tugged at his chest.
So close... yet so far.
You were right there, right beside him.
Yet the distance between his feelings and the courage to act on them felt like an unbridgeable gap.
His heart ached with the weight of it, knowing that despite being closer to you than ever before, he remained just as far from you in the ways that truly mattered...
But he knew that he couldn’t keep living in this quiet reverie forever.
Tomorrow would be another day. Another chance to take that first step, to move closer to you, to finally show the words that had been held back for so long.
With a soft sigh, Kazuha set his pen down and looked out at the stars.
They were distant, silent, and untouchable—but still, they shone brightly.
Just like his feelings for you.

UNDER THE MISTLETOE
pairings : twst , genshin , hsr cast x gn!reader
genre : fluff , unestablished relationship , requited feelings
cws/tws : kissing lol (a lot)
a/n : happy holidays to all who have anything to celebrate and to those who don't I hope you enjoy a break and a warm december <3 this is also sort of my 1k special !! I know it isn't much but I couldn't think of anything to do to celebrate <//3
note: I know I mentioned friends in the first prompt but you can literally imagine these scenarios with either a crowd or alone lmao
"Oh. My. God" rang in their head as they looked up, eyes meeting the green leaf hanging above the two of you, "We don't have to push through with this... tradition if you don't want to..." they said but it came out as almost a mumble. As more teases fell from the mouths of your other friends, you couldn't help but inch closer to them, once you got the go signal you pressed your lips against theirs. It felt warm amidst the cold of the season and radiated a sense of comfort throughout your body.
(twst) Deuce, Cater, Ruggie, Azul, Epel, Idia, Sebek. (genshin) Jean, Amber, Ganyu, Chongyun, Yanfei, Sucrose, Thoma, Kirara, Kaveh, Layla, Charlotte, Navia, Kokomi (hsr) March 7th, Arlan, Asta, Bronya (sort of), Gepard, Luka, Qingque, Sushang, Guinaifen.
They stared at you silently, waiting for you to make the next move. Yes, they're interested in you and they know you were interested in them, but they didn't want to rush you. Eventually you stepped closer, tugging lightly on their hand before they tilted your chin. It was a calm, ordinary kiss, yet it made the cliché movie fireworks explode both in your mind and body.
(twst) Trey, Jack, Jade, Rook, Silver, Malleus. (genshin) Albedo, Ningguang, Zhongli, Kazuha, Shenhe, Cyno, Yun Jin, Ayaka, Alhaitham, Baizhu, Heizou, Nilou, Neuvillette. (hsr) Serval, Himeko, Natasha, Tingyun, Hanya, Argenti, Ruan Mei, Jing Yuan, Luocha, Argenti
"Well?" they said teasingly, throwing you a sly look as you fumbled around your outfit in an attempt to calm down. They waited until you stepped closer to them, their hand making its way to your cheek as they leaned in and kissed you. It was funny, you could've sworn you were sure they didn't like you back, so why were they kissing you so calmly yet with so much fervor? As you pulled back, you couldn't help the sense of longing as you looked back into their eyes looking like they, too, wanted more.
(twst) Ace (not a loser this time!!), Vil, Lilia. (genshin) Kaeya, Venti, Childe, Hu Tao, Itto, Yae Miko, Ayato, Lyney, Yelan, Wriothesley. (hsr) Kafka, Sampo, Black Swan (?), Sparkle
"There will be no 'kissing under the mistletoe'" They said sternly, but no one missed the tinge of pink dusting on their ears and cheeks. Despite the small disappointment, the party went on without a hitch. Later on into the night, you spotted them by the balcony admiring the stars with a small drink in hand and joined them saying you wanted a breath of fresh air. "I've liked you for quite some time now" fell from their lips, somewhat boldly even, the sudden confession made your heart skip a beat. A kiss placed on their lips was all the answer that they needed.
(twst) Riddle, Leona, Sebek, Idia (sort of), Jamil (genshin) Diluc, Beidou, Dehya, Xiao, Mona, Keqing, Rosaria, Eula, Raiden Ei, Kujou Sara, Kuki Shinobu, Tighnari, Candace, Scaramouche, Faruzan, Furina, Chevreuse. (hsr) Seele, Topaz, Blade, Yukong, Fu Xuan, Jingliu, Xueyi, Dr. Ratio
They had a mixed expression of shyness and also slightly explosive joy. I mean, they knew that you liked them back but they just haven't had the chance to tell you yet, you know? They impulsively (but gently) took your hands in theirs and looked you in the eyes as if telepathically asking you for consent. Once you gave your permission they immediately kissed you, their happiness was infectious and leaving you feeling giddy once they pulled away from you.

Part of me wants to say it's the Liyue crew, mainly for the scenario of Siren!Reader and Pirate!Beidou recognizing each other from when kid!Siren!Reader saved kid!Beidou from drowning.
Another part wants to go Inazuma crew. Because what if Pirate!Kokomi has this secret "conservation cove" that she uses to hide species by World Government!Celestia and criminal organizations' overheating from their malicious intentions?
Maybe the Fontaine crew would have a similar thing as well?
Hmmmmmm, decisions decisions 🤔
I left the crew that kidnapped you ambiguous so that you could imagine your favorite region being the one to kidnap you, but I really like the idea of Liyue being the first to snatch you, solely because of Captain Beidou recognizing you from childhood 😳
I feel like while staring at you swimming anxiously in the tank, Beidou starts to feel pangs of recognition jostle in her memories. She swears she’s seen you before, and that mysterious draw to you is enough incentive for Beidou to command all her crew members to snatch you up and run to their ship as fast as they can. Who knows would other pirates might do to you if Beidou didn’t win the bid? So she figures you’d be much safer in her hands.
Of course, with the other pirate crews however, they’re all thinking the same thing as everyone just wants to protect you in some way and keep you out of greedy hands. It’d certainly be quite the chase to track you down and steal you back from various other ships 😅 especially Pirate! Kokomi and her crew, since Kokomi having a whole preservation cove dedicated to rare species is something Kokomi would definitely do.

The Owner Who Broke The Leash (Yandere!Kamisato Ayato/Reader)
a/n: this is a chainsaw man au but I tried writing it so that you don't need to be an anime/manga reader (suffer with me.) I'm not 100% following the source material, so Beidou and Kazuha are platonic & no mother-child themes the orig has people debate over. I won't be explaining the latter to those who did not understand lmao. (Y/n)'s 20 years old. This is just a yandere fic, relax hehe. also, huge shoutout to @navxry for beta reading, their insights were helpfull!!! and also shoutout because honestly nothing is more fulfulling like seeing a live commentary of roasting the yanderes and for some reason, my husband too sorry dain-
cw: yandere themes and degrading nicknames ("dog"), and dont read while eating ig?
unreliable synopsis: "Thank you, Mr. Kamisato," (Y/n) mumbled. "It's just... I'm still pretty pissed by what happened. I had an absolute shit first kiss–"
Kamisato Ayato questioned whether he had a heart in his head because, on occasion, it beats louder than the one cradled by his ribs. Or perhaps he's just grown incredibly susceptible to human emotions– or in this scenario: "headaches." Then again, in a world where 7 out of every 20 Inazuman citizens are killed by Devils in a concerningly short duration, is it really surprising that Ayato would experience such distress?
The Public Safety Devil Hunters have often questioned their limits throughout the years. Many of them have hardened themselves into pawns who seek glorified kinds of justice and retribution with the limited and declining manpower they have. As a result, they needed people like Kamisato Ayato, a mystifying man who presented himself as a gregarious yet reticent individual regarded either with respect or distaste.
Only a few people have gone insane, which he and the captain of Division 4, Dainsleif, considered to be regrettable. They both had a strong conviction that complete sanity was inappropriate for a devil hunter. The rational and sensible are not in demand in this profession. Only those who have lost their sense of humanity can remain alive with their limbs intact. Many disputed Dainsleif's claims, questioning how could they be true. And to this, he answered:
"What does sanity truly mean when demanded of you by a Devil?"
Unfortunately, not many people understood the significance of that puzzling question, and even if they did, they rejected this way of thinking. Losing one's sanity is equivalent to losing what kept many alive–
And then…
There's (Y/n).
"Holy shiiiiiit!!!" (Y/n) spat out with their mouth full as they gouged the poor leftover traces of udon from the bowl, fully savoring what drops can be salvaged. They tilted their wrist and licked the remaining noodles, which made Mr. Kamisato's associates raise an eyebrow. Their unbrushed hair would sometimes cover their eyes, making them appear more monstrous and feral.
That was enough to know that in an instant, (Y/n) was endowed with a life that was blessed— at least, in physiological matters.
Despite their disheveled clothes and messy hair, anyone would've mistaken them for a somewhat functional human being. Ayato was quite pleased to dress them up after finding them bloodied and dazed. Not that the zombie devil was ever considered a formidable foe, but seeing the Chainsaw Devil in action is enough grounds for fascination, yes?
The Chainsaw Devil… What name does his "family" go by nowadays? What does the "Fixer of Hell" do around this era?
And why did he form a contract with this… mess of a human being? Why did the Chainsaw Devil agree to become this person's heart replacement?
Why didn't the devil let them perish?
Kamisato Ayato has been dying to know–
"Is this what you devil hunters eat every day?" (Y/n) gawked at him, who was snapped back to reality by their childlike antics. "Seems pretty fucking worth it to me. Those jackasses must be ripping me off if I did the same work for less than, what, two eighty percent? I don't know jack-shit about math, though. Unless it's about calculating debt."
"Is that right?"
When (Y/n) eliminated the Zombie Devil, the public safety officer was able to locate the "dog" in person. Fortunately, he just so happened to know that there was a devil in the vicinity and saw (Y/n) covered in blood. Surely, finding out that the Chainsaw Devil became (Y/n)'s heart via a contract was a mere coincidence in Mr. Kamisato's perspective. He's a cunning being, but not omnipotent, yes?
"Duh," their nose scrunched. "Gotta pay my dead dad's debt somehow. The sins of the Father are the sins of the... I forgot the rest of the line."
"Hmm."
To say (Y/n) is the… most entertaining person is the understatement of the decade. They exude none of the dignity of an ordinary civilian when bringing up their lack of rudimentary mathematical abilities and literary knowledge. Like a child who was isolated in their room for so long, (Y/n) was the type of clumsily put-together person you wouldn't expect to pique Ayato's interest.
Yet here he is, answering them with something far from a business smile.
Ayato was entertained by their awkwardly talkative behavior and flushed cheeks.
(Y/n) has a crush on him. He's certain.
He can make use of that.
"We take care of our workers, yes," Ayato smoothly replied. His gaze did not falter away from the more-than-exploited hybrid. Hidden behind his stare was an obsession he had yet to add a label to. There's a strangely human urge for him to wipe the stray noodle off their chin.
They failed to see his soft gaze and continued to mindlessly ask nonsensical questions.
"P-Peanut butter and jelly too?"
"If they so desired it. I do not see why they cannot afford to buy some with their paycheck."
"Woah."
They looked incredibly amazed, if not, pathetically deprived. It made Ayato even more curious– just what life was this poor dog living if they craved incredibly simple joys?
And… peanut butter? Was that ever considered peak luxury? What a miserable life. Dead mother, murdered father– and a poor heart condition to match. He'll never consider their living conditions humane.
"Dog," Ayato thought to himself. "Positively a dog."
So faithful. So easily handled.
Just as the Public Safety Devil Hunter had hoped for.
Humans are strange creatures and even more challenging to please. Ayato noticed that people attract others when they're unfortunate yet not far enough where they're "beyond saving". Balancing that fine line is a hindrance. Humans strive for authenticity but retreat when it causes discomfort— running away from the empty or broken bits that reflect their innermost selfish beliefs. These people will probe for trauma and unfavorable emotions to relate to, but won't exert control to change or challenge the speaker.
They want a "palatable" story– a "marketable" person.
Kamisato Ayato didn't enjoy how hypocritical humanity is. Perhaps that's why he connected with (Y/n) instantaneously.
Because (Y/n) was no longer human.
They're a devil-human hybrid. There's nothing for (Y/n) to mask, and most importantly, they're so damn easy to please.
Ayato glanced at his wristwatch.
It's nearly time for tea with his fellow commissioners.
He closed his eyes and sighed softly. There was no latent vitriolic expression on his face, but that did not mean Ayato cared for his colleagues deeply.
They're all dogs in his eyes.
"Let us depart, (Y/n)."
And (Y/n) might be the best one yet.
Mr. Kamisato stood up and ruffled their hair.
"Come. Be a good dog and perhaps I'll spoil you with as many treats as you desire."
—-------------------
"Holy shit…" (Y/n) muttered to themselves.
"Today, I'm going to experience my first kiss ever…"
"Oh, a kiss you say?"
"M-Mister Kamisato?!"
It's been a while since Mr. Kamisato saw (Y/n), and they exude a brighter aura than before.
He's not pretentious enough to say (Y/n) had grown so much since he last saw them. There are qualities to them (he wouldn't say redeemable) that Ayato was certain weren't there in the past. After assigning them as Kaedehara Kazuha's subordinate and roommate, (Y/n) rehabilitated to the norms of public safety devil hunters. There were some setbacks, including the time they refused to kill a devil because they were naive enough to consider them as friends. But here they were, inside a busy restaurant after a month of dispatching (Y/n) to their new job– new life.
And won't you look at that?
Ayato's gaze softened as it sank in how much his influence had changed them over the months.
They… look radiant, don't they?
(Y/n) stood up, shocked that the refined public safety officer would be joining them. No one told them that he was invited. The rest of Division 4 followed suit, extending their pleasantries to their superior. The only exception was Beidou, who spoke nothing as she continued chugging her beer. Ayato greeted them and gracefully slipped away from his black cloak and placed it on the chair.
They remained standing until Ayato reached out and ruffled their hair.
"Sit."
And so they did.
Mr. Kamisato's grin widened.
"Good dog." He said.
…
Good dog…?
For a moment, the world was on mute for Mr. Kamisato.
And in that personal silence, he pondered to himself:
Why does he care so much about a dog?
It matters not since they will always remain a dog in his eyes. The day he stops calling them a dog and treating them as one is the day he'll forget about the "Fixer of Hell."
"(Y/n)..."
Ayato turned to look at the woman who moaned.
Beidou was one of his favorite dog's new coworkers alongside Kazuha, Kaveh, Al Haitham, the blood-fiend Arataki "Numero Uno" Itto, and the rest. Unlike the aforementioned four, Beidou often regarded Ayato as a "manipulative bastard" while her long-time partner, Kazuha, felt that there is a certain level of melancholy about him that they repeatedly failed to comprehend. Kazuha had a better sense of the world than his dear old eye-patched friend, but even he finds Ayato unpredictable.
Ayato doesn't mind her hostility and their wariness, not when they took great care of his pet on their latest mission.
Yet, he's holding back a glare.
"(Y/nnnnnn)..."
He doesn't appreciate the way her hand repeatedly traveled down his dog's thigh.
"H-Hey, you're d-drunk–" (Y/n) kept "discreetly" glancing at Ayato, worried. "Q-Quit it! Y-You're making me uncomfortable, man–"
"Shhhhh!" Beidou hushed in a low and seductive tone.
"Just wait, (Y/n), I give better kisses when I'm far from sober."
Ayato's eye twitched.
How intriguing.
"W-WH-WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!!!–"
"Your reward for killing the Eternity Devil, you scallywag~" She hiccupped, red-faced. "Kiss, with tongue, re-mem-ber?"
Mr. Kamisato closed his eyes, clenching his fists beneath the table as his colleagues drank and ate to their hearts' content. She's drunk. She'll likely regret those words tomorrow.
For a moment, he wished he could drown himself in Kaveh's talks about wearing his father's hand-me-downs or staying in Public Safety for the paycheck. Or maybe hone in on how Itto kept adding zeros to his IQ when asked.
But his whole being was focused on this peculiar conversation.
Suppose a lonesome dog will latch on to any attention it will get.
"K-Kiss…" (Y/n) squeaked.
Don't be so overjoyed.
Ayato desperately wanted to say.
Can't you tell that between the two of us, it's me who you would choose in a heartbeat?
"Who's kissing who now?" Ayato raised his hand, calling for the waiter while staring at the morally conflicted (Y/n). "A glass, please."
(Y/n) paused, not looking at both Ayato and Beidou. They were deep in thought, assessing the situation as though it was their most life-threatening moment.
Good.
They perked up again, somewhat sweating.
"U-Uh, Mr. Kamisato! H-Have you heard? I found an important metal-piece thing and grabbed it!"
Ayato no longer held back a defeated sigh and clenched his fists under the table.
… Disappointing.
So they have chosen to ignore his confrontation instead of turning down Beidou's advances. Shame. Ayato's face contorted, but no one noticed his dismay other than Kaveh, who did not know what to make of it at the time.
"Yes, I have, and what fine news it was indeed. Excellent work. Oh, to have been a fly in the wall..."
Seeing as that "piques" his interest, Kazuha leaned his elbows on the table.
"While we're on the topic, Mister Kamisato…"
Kazuha proceeded to add more to the subject, calmly stating all the information and inferences the group had acquired after the last mission. The "metal-piece" thing (Y/n) found was a portion of the Gun Devil, and Kazuha blabbered about how it appeared that (Y/n) had been targeted by many devils.
"–somehow (Y/n) is at the crux of everything. You know something that we do not, right Mister Kamisato?"
It's only natural for Kazuha to act this way. (Y/n) had no formal training yet fought the Eternity Devil for three days without rest. They had even utilized the Chainsaw Devil's ("Thoma" was its new name) power to torture them nonstop. Devils regenerate by drinking blood so they grained the Eternity devil regularly, yelling and taunting it like a maniac. So in Kazuha's conclusion, (Y/n) was not only stranger than they suppose; they are stranger than they can suppose.
Division 4's and Ayato's main objective is to hunt this "Gun Devil", but there's no need to mind such trifles. At least Makoto is dead. That's one battle won.
Ayato gazed at Kazuha, then his drink.
"What an interesting notion. How about a game?" Ayato placed a finger on his lip. "What do they call this… was it called hot pot? Hmm… No matter."
"The mechanics of the game is to outdrink your opponent," Ayato smiled. "Will you accept this duel?"
As if on time, Beidou placed her empty glass down, making Kazuha just a bit more confident to take the risk. Kazuha nodded.
"Excuse me! Two sakes, please!"
Beidou, who would've normally banned Kazuha from drinking because of his height and not his adult age, yelled on top of her tops.
"HE-HE-HEYYY!!! MAKE IT THREEEE!!! I'LL PLAY THE DAMN GAME TOO!!!"
"MORE SASHIMI!!! THERE BETTER NOT BE A BEAN MIXED IN THERE!!!" Itto demanded soon after.
"I-I'd take a plate of sweet potatoes and cheese, please!" Kaveh humbly requested, fixing his red hairclips.
"HEY WAIT, ME TOO!!! MORE TEMPURA TOO!!!" (Y/n) followed, causing Al Haitham to cover his ears.
Ayato smirked, drinking his mug. He already knows how this will end.
—--------------
Just a few drinks in, Kazuha proved his humanity by slowly fluttering his eyes to sleep.
Both Kazuha and Beidou failed to defeat Ayato in his game, albeit the latter wasn't trying their best. The others lost focus on the match when they knew Ayato had secured victory the moment he gave the mechanics. It's hopeless. Even a newbie such as the salt-and-pepper haired man knew it was a battle whose result had long been decided.
"Excuse me, sir," Ayato smiled, smug. "May I have another drink, please?"
Mr. Kamisato retrieved his umpteenth beer, eager to take a sip but as soon as he had it in his hands, that woman chimed in again.
She kissed them.
…
"... Goodness," Ayato muttered emptily.
That bold woman kissed what's his.
Ayato shook his head slightly, drinking his glass with a malicious glint in his eyes. As that woman aggressively thrust her tongue inside (Y/n)'s mouth, his dog shook, peering over the unimpressed Mr. Kamisato. He made it known to them that he was not pleased by this front-row display of "affection", but (Y/n) made little effort to stop it. He heard her moan and scrutinized the way she yanked their collar to deepen the "kiss", closing all distance between them.
He could've sworn the mug cracked a bit so he loosened his hold. Mr. Kamisato had felt another "headache" settling in as he watched that filth violate his pet with perverse pleasure. He snarled quietly.
What a low-quality "treat".
"Is this what you call a reward?" Ayato muttered.
She must taste horrible.
His (Y/n) must feel horrible.
Surely they wouldn't enjoy being taken by another person?
Yet they're melting in her arms.
Ayato scoffed.
What an unpleasant sight.
He felt... unsettled and restless.
Suddenly, they pulled away. Ayato was almost impressed (relieved) until he saw the reason behind (Y/n)'s distress. That kiss was disgusting, and everyone at that table will reasonably agree on that after seeing what had happened to (Y/n).
"HAHAHAHAHA!" The blood fiend laughed heartily. "IT'S IN THEIR MOUTH!!! IT'S IN THEIR MOUTH!!!"
That disgusting acidic liquid…
Itto elbowed Al Haitham beside him.
"AND YA BOYS KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN ANYTHING NUTRITIOUS GETS INSIDE (Y/N)'S MOUTH?!?"
Mr. Kamisato stood up and immediately pulled (Y/n) away from Beidou, pampering their lips with tissues and scrubbing the remains of that wench. His eyes sharpened as (Y/n) leaned into his touch, trembling while grabbing his white dress shirt. Ayato ignored how he would've normally felt a twinge of disgust over the stains they left on his clothes and gently cradled them; his focus now aimed at Beidou– disregarding how the other members laughed or visibly shivered at the sight.
… it's puke.
"THEY SWALLOW IT!!!"
Ayato's eyelids lowered as he heard (Y/n) gulped Beidou's vomit involuntarily, cringing while sobbing– gagging. Itto's laughter drowns out any sounds of concern. (Y/n) hands flew to their throat, clawing to spit everything out as the others watched.
Is this… what people call "headaches"?
How dare she.
She dared not only steal his dog's first kiss but also dared to vomit inside them. Beidou had publicly disrespected what was under his control.
His eyes were emptier than before.
Unacceptable.
He did not fail to notice the others in the room as well. Kazuha jolted up awake at the commotion and searched for a tissue immediately. Some watched out of morbid curiosity like Al Haitham, while there’s people who nervously laughed without knowing what to do like Kaveh, and the rest hollered with the blood fiend.
The last category was filled with employees who had been in the department long enough to know Beidou’s antics. As one of them had told (Y/n) before the party started, Beidou had kissed nearly everyone in the room they’re in already when drunk. Couple that fact with how these colleagues have most of their sanity stripped away and live their lives unhinged, and you got yourself a group of people who no longer processes traumatic events as it is. To them, this is comedy.
The superior Public Safety Devil Hunter shifted his glare to them, effectively halting their laughter.
Mr. Kamisato will be keeping an eye on them.
He knows their names and their faces.
“Tch.”
Ayato roughly dabbed their mouth, cooing at his traumatized (Y/n) as the others looked out for Beidou. (Y/n)'s hands remained locked on their esophagus as if pushing out the last remaining toothpaste from the tube. Pitiable. And somehow, for ones with a sadistic inclination as he does, charming–
No.
Get it out.
Get it all out without hurting what's his.
Scrub every last trace of that woman out of them.
Mr. Kamisato let go of the tissue and brought his thumb against (Y/n)'s lips. Their breath hitched as his ministrations differed greatly from before. Instead of something so intense and near degrading, the way Ayato wiped the stains was warm. Intimate.
Yet Ayato's permanent polite smile betrayed his thoughts.
Blindfolds. Hands. Kneel. Blindfolds. Hands. Kneel.
Squish.
He closed his eyes.
Ayato did not care for whatever happens to Beidou next– she can get killed by a devil next week for all he cares– but he will not allow anything of this sort to occur ever again.
"Oh, my dearest (Y/n)," this time, he smiled not to seem normal but to comfort. And such a genuine gesture scared Ayato deep down. "Allow me to help you get it off your system, okay?"
Finally, their coworkers fully acknowledged (Y/n)'s plight. Kazuha was the first to lend his handkerchief, something Ayato made a mental note of. Kaveh turned around instead. The hairs in the blonde's arms certainly stood the straightest. In response, Al Haitham rolled his eyes over how squirmish his fellow recruit was.
"I have a grandmother who often vomits, perhaps–"
Kaveh immediately cut off Al Haitham, "Wait, you're actually volunteering to help?"
He shrugged. "No, I was merely offering advice on how to–"
Ayato snapped.
"I'll take care of this. Alone."
Ayato's grip on (Y/n) tightened, pulling them close to his chest protectively. He can sense them eager to cough out the vile shoved down their throat but sweetly, he will not give a damn if they released all that in his chest. Ayato led their head on his shoulder. His hand ran through their scalp, soothing them.
Every decision Kamisato Ayato makes is final.
He needn't hear more of their so-called input.
They don't need you.
His (Y/n) does not need ANY of you.
Slowly, Ayato tilted the nauseous (Y/n)'s chin.
"You'll let me take control, won't you, love?"
They nodded, tears in the corner of their eyes. Charmingly weak. A reflection of their humanity. The humanity Ayato did not care about for so long.
"Good do–" Ayato stopped himself.
"Good," he chuckled. "Just good. Now, follow me to the restroom."
He didn't let (Y/n) interact with anyone else that night.
—----------
That incident occurred yesterday, and it was still fresh in their memory.
(Y/n) had been especially gloomy as of late and had been ordered to never talk to Beidou until permitted by Mr. Kamisato. Instead of staying at Kazuha's apartment with Itto, Ayato made arrangements so that they'll have a room in his government-owned apartment. The man from then on refuses to let them out unless a mission requires them. It rattled (Y/n). In a sense, they were like a dog caged for a vase they did not break.
Like most mistreated dogs, they whined silently. Which were sounds that never go unnoticed by caring owners.
And all caring owners will prioritize their pets more than their phone ringing.
Ayato immediately muted his phone.
42 missed calls from Mr. Kaedehara, 36 from Ms. Beidou, and 11 from Kaveh.
He swiped their text notifications all away and faced it down on the table.
"(Y/n), my dear," Ayato began in a soft voice as he set down his boba tea and the take-out for tonight's meal. "Something troubles you. Though you may not wish to share at the moment, know that I am here for you should you ever need an ear."
(Y/n) looked up with gratitude in their eyes. Although they were not vocal about it like they usually are, they did not expect Mr. Kamisato to be perceptive and kind enough to acknowledge their demeanor.
"Thank you, Mr. Kamisato," (Y/n) mumbled. "It's just... I'm still pretty pissed by what happened. I had an absolute shit first kiss–"
They sobbed, voice cracking.
"–and even if I kiss a bunch of other women or guys in the future, I'll probably never get that taste of vomit off my mind, won't I?"
The room went quiet, and Ayato's shoulders dropped at their pitiful sounds.
He retrieved his cup of boba milk tea on the table again and silently placed it in front of (Y/n), aligning the straw in the direction of their lips.
"I understand," Ayato replied. "Sometimes, wounds of the heart take time to heal. But remember, there is a chance to create beautiful memories within every setback. Now open your mouth."
With a sigh, they took a sip of the boba milk tea, the taste of blueberry cheesecake tantalizing their tastebuds. (Y/n) relaxed, the tension in their body dissipating. However, as if urged to see their discomfort yet again out of perverse pleasure, Ayato spoke once more.
"You will likely never erase the taste of vomit in your mind for all eternity."
(Y/n)'s eyebrows furrowed.
"However," Ayato cupped their cheek, forcing them to share his gaze.
"Now that you will forever live with me, you will have the chance to taste a wide variety of new flavors to the point you will never have to recall that unpleasant taste again."
As they savored the comforting flavor, Ayato's eyes twinkled mischievously, and a small smile tugged at his lips. He chuckled.
"And I would like you to take notice, (Y/n)," he began playfully, "that this delightful boba tea we're sharing is the taste of your first indirect kiss."
Surprised, (Y/n) messily choked on their drink, spluttering the content in their white shirt as embarrassment colored their cheeks red. Ayato chuckled softly, reaching out to pat (Y/n)'s back gently as they recovered.
That adorable expression. It beats that of a dog.
Their blush is human.
(Y/n) is human.
As (Y/n) wiped the sweet taste on their lips, they couldn't help but feel a newfound sense of hope, knowing that Mr. Kamisato will be there for them. Their lingering disappointment remains, that much is certain, but it will disappear in time. (Y/n) drank until the cup was emptied. It was a symbol of Mr. Kamisato's promise to make the taste of puke a distant memory and that–
In the end, everything will be alright.
He likes them. He's certain.
(Y/n) can make use of him.
Give Mr. Kamisato a chance, dearest (Y/n).
He'll add Ms. Beidou's death to his list of things to check off in your next assignment.
Not only that, of course. She won’t be the only one that’ll keep him busy. He has not forgotten the faces of those who laughed at you during your dilemma.
Maybe once the officer reassigns them all to a more… enthralling location, he’ll get a more satisfactory answer to the question:
"What does sanity truly mean when demanded of you by a Devil?"

note: ana you are so amazing and i'm so sorry it took me way too long to fulfill your request. i’m so honored that you took time to send me an ask and i hope you enjoy 🥹
You’ve known the familiar saltiness of the ocean breeze for as long as you can remember. All your life you’ve been at sea as the doctor of the famous Crux fleet. Even now, the splashing of the waves against the sides of the docked ships fills your ears with their gentle greeting and calms your aching body.
Your eyes slip closed as you take in the scent of the sea, and try to steer yourself away from focusing on the alcohol rushing through your veins. For being part of the crew of a famous pirate captain known for her love of alcohol, your tolerance is embarrassingly low.
Beidou, leader of the legendary Crux fleet, is a household name admired by many, including yourself. You’ve always longed to be as courageous and bold as she is. Yet, you’re seemingly cursed with your shy and soft-spoken personality, unable to emerge from your shell.
You’re reminded of this again as roars of laughter sound from below the crow’s nest in which you perch, your fellow crew mates celebrating another successful arrival at Liyue Harbor. If you had a single social bone in your body, you would have a half a mind to party right along with them. After all, the fleet had recently returned from Inazuma, and although it would kill half the crew to admit it, many were afraid that they wouldn’t be making it back because of the current condition of the nation.
Inazuma.
While just as strict and frightening that the rumors made it out to be, the trip had not been entirely fruitless, especially for you.
After all, that’s where you ended up meeting him.
Kaedehara Kazuha.
A young man from Inazuma that Beidou allowed onto her ships, a runaway from the wrath of the Almighty Shogun. Mild and tranquil, gentle and calm, yet his strength and will could not be disregarded even by the most ignorant of fools. You had seen his blade in battle, and witnessed the mercilessness even a kind man like him could display.
Your closed eyes tighten, and so does your heart. You want to blame the alcohol you had poured down your throat for the ache in your chest at the thought of him, and yet, you know it’s futile. He had not only shown you kindness like he had everyone else, but also genuine interest and compassion. He had paid you what your foolish self had interpreted as special attention, offering to assist in the hospital wing, inviting you to sit with him on the deck to watch the stars, bringing you meals when you were preoccupied by your work—although you’ve only spent a few short months with him, you’ve already grown attached to him.
You had convinced yourself to be fine with living in the shadows; you have come to terms with the fact. You didn’t mind living your life with no permanent company, content with yourself and the view of the ocean. And yet, when Kazuha had conversed with you with such tenderness in his eyes, how could your heart not be stirred after being neglected for so long?
You can’t exactly describe what you feel for him, only that you long to be by his side. He’s almost magnetic to you; you’re drawn to him like a moth to a flame. You don’t know if you’ve ever felt this way for anyone—although you don’t know the word for it, it’s been consuming you.
You briefly wish you could have another drink.
You don’t typically consume alcohol, hence your pathetic status as a lightweight. Yet, a few hours ago, something deep inside you shattered when, while attempting to search for Kazuha, you heard a few rumors flitting about within the crew. Apparently, Kazuha planned to leave the crew and stay in Liyue for the time being, at least until the political problems in Inazuma had been quelled to some extent.
You were so pathetically devastated; you know Kazuha has been a wandering warrior for a long time now, so it made sense for him to not want to be tied down for too long. However, logical thinking couldn’t erase the pang in your chest, and before you knew it, you were struggling to keep your eyes open, thoughts muddled and limbs heavy.
You felt foolish for ever thinking you would truly be alright with being alone. After he came along, your whole world had changed – and if he was truly about to leave you, everything would change once more. This time, you don’t know if you could lie to yourself about your loneliness, not with the hole in your heart that had already started to form.
You had barely been able to climb up to the crow’s nest in your intoxicated state, but you managed to do so without hurting yourself. You often came up there in the dead of night when everyone was asleep. For many years, it was only yourself sitting up there, staring at the sky. Whether it was starry or foggy or rainy, having a moment of peace on your own always brought you comfort.
Despite your intentions of moping in your feelings by yourself, you’re not alone. Perhaps if you weren’t so intoxicated, you would have noticed the very man on your mind watching you from just below you on the deck. Kazuha’s scarlet eyes are gentle as they gaze upon your small form curled up in the crow’s nest, a fond smile tugging at his lips as he watches you.
You’re simply exquisite, moonlight bathing you in a heavenly glow as stars twinkle merrily behind you. You’re facing away from him, but he can happily imagine your pretty face admiring the twinkling night sky. He had gone into Liyue Harbor to buy you rice buns, which you had mentioned several times to be your favorite food. You often spoke about how much you missed food from your home nation, especially this one particular treat, so Kazuha had wanted to surprise you.
You deserve this, and so much more. You hardly ever get to rest, always tending to the injured and weak without complaint. You’re careful and tender with your hands, strong and capable with your knowledge, and kind and humble with your heart.
He’d been imagining the beautiful delight that he hoped would overtake your features, radiating the most gorgeous form of joy that he had only felt from the warmth of your smile. You would direct this pure happiness only at him, pretty eyes sparkling. Kazuha considered himself a lucky man to have been able to see this expression of yours, as you were characterized as quite indifferent by the rest of the crew.
The more selfish part of him basks in the idea that he has been the only to see your true happiness, and to a greater extent, been the source of it. He knows the effect he has on you; your stuttered words and averted gazes never did much to hide your feelings. Nor did the way you dote on him even when he isn’t badly injured, tending to his wounds with feather-light touches and soft words of reassurance.
Kazuha knows all this, but remains careful – any wrong move could drive you away, so he moves slowly, inconspicuously. He couldn’t make his intentions clear from the start, or knowing you, you may have become overwhelmed.
This never stopped him, however, from staying close to you and reveling in the way you showed your affections for him, even in the small and unintentional ways.
He’s not as amiable and kind as you might think; he doesn’t spend time with you because he pities you. Although he puts up an easygoing, polite persona with everyone around him, he always knows exactly what he wants, and isn’t afraid to pursue it. Kazuha simply can’t get enough of you, the same way he knows you can’t get enough of him.
Tonight, he’s decided to make it clear, once and for all, that he loves you just as much as you love him.
Kazuha deftly climbs up the crow’s nest, steps light and quick so as to not disturb or startle you. When he reaches the top, he calls out to you. “May I join you?” Unnaturally slow, you turn your head to meet his gaze, and – have you been crying?
“Kazuha.” You croak his name softly, a fresh wave of sadness seemingly washing over you as you register his presence. Kazuha wastes no time in rushing to comfort you, face pulled into an uncharacteristic display of panicked concern.
“What happened?” His voice is still composed and calm, but his heart is hurting, aching, at the sight of you in distress. You don’t say anything in response, only staring blankly right at him. Several wine bottles are scattered around you; it’s not difficult to deduce that you were intoxicated, and severely so.
What had made you, who typically avoided alcohol like the plague, end up like this?
Before he could continue trying to coax an answer from you, you suddenly raise one hand, reaching over to poke at his chest with your index finger, hard. Your sad expression morphs into one of frustration instead, eyebrows furrowing as you try to form a coherent thought.
“Y-You.” One word. You curl your fingers into the front of his haori. Kazuha raises his eyebrows, confused by both your reply and sudden boldness. You had never attempted to touch him besides when you were healing him, despite all of the time you’d spent together.
“Me?” Kazuha starts to worry; had he done something truly unforgivable to upset you? While he himself can’t remember any action that could’ve made you act like this, it very well could’ve been unintentional and yet warranted an apology all the same. You don’t speak for another few moments, keeping your grip on his clothing as you stare down at your lap, seemingly having lost some of your nerve.
“I-Is your arm a-alright?” Your eyes dart toward where his wound is wrapped by thick cloth, done by your own hand only hours earlier. You had tears stinging your eyes while tending to his injuries, something that never happens. After years of dealing with medical emergencies, nothing fazes you anymore—nothing, apparently, except seeing Kazuha wince slightly in pain even when you do your best to be gentle.
“Of course.” Kazuha smiles softly at you. “All thanks to you.” You’re quiet again, as if slowly digesting his words. You shift on your feet, fingers still gripping his clothes.
“...D-Don’t leave me.” Your voice comes out small. Your lip quivers. Kazuha’s heart drops into his stomach.
“Leave you?” he repeats your words quietly, in disbelief.
“Don’t.” Another few tears trip down your face. He calls your name softly, and in response, you finally lift your head to look at him again.
“Where did you hear that I would leave you?” he asks, gently taking your now unfurled hand that was still resting on his chest.
“They s-said you were s-staying in L-Liyue.” You hiccup, the hand encased in his own curling into a fist.
Kazuha pauses, finally starting to understand the situation. It was true that some time ago, he had planned to wander Liyue until he would be allowed back in Inazuma peacefully. He remembers saying so in response to several crew members asking how long he would be staying with the Crux fleet. This would’ve been the plan, if not for the defining factor that ultimately swayed his decision to remain on the ship for longer.
“Staying? I’m only visiting.” Kazuha smiles gently, revealing the bag full of rice buns and placing it in front of you. “For this.” For you.
Your eyes brighten a little at the familiar scent and sight of your favorite food. Your vision clears a little as Kazuha wipes at your tears with a careful brush of his fingers. Your mouth runs dry, completely forgetting about the rice buns you had been missing for months as you take in the sight of him.
His light hair is blessed with a soft glow from the moon, his kind scarlet eyes glittering with concern and yet a hint of… amusement? Is this even real? Is he really not going to leave? The horrible, fleeting thought that this might be an extensive figment of your imagination crosses your mind.
Kazuha continues to smile tenderly at you, thumb drawing soothing patterns across the apple of your cheek. Your heart starts beating faster, unable to contain the emotions bubbling up inside of you any longer –
You don’t know if you can completely blame the alcohol for the way you collapse into his arms, and he catches your weight as if you were a feather, holding you against him with ease. Kazuha squeezes your hand, still firmly held in his, as if to reassure you that he wouldn’t let you fall. You should be embarrassed, mortified, even, but you can’t bring yourself to care – not when you’re finally, finally as close to him as you’d always wanted to be.
Kazuha’s free hand brushes along the back of your neck, sending goosebumps trailing up your skin. He gently brings your head down to rest right over his racing heart. “Can you hear that?” he hums. “This is how you make me feel.” You sniffle, on the verge of tears once more – you’d been searching for what you feel for him, for so long. As Kazuha cradles you against his chest, even your intoxicated self slowly comes to realization.
Kazuha strokes the top of your head, allowing you to continue listening to the rapid pace of his heartbeat. Everything is perfect – his compassion, his patience, his warmth, him. You have never been more certain that in this moment that you really, truly –
“Love you.” The words leave you steady and clear, not a hint of a tipsy slur like everything else you had said to him that night. You’re not even nervous that you might’ve just humiliated yourself; not with the way he held you tighter, communicating without a lack of doubt that –
“I love you, too.” His voice was little more than a whisper, but that was sufficient – no, so much more than enough, for you.
“Please.” You lift your head, still heavy with alcohol, off his chest to meet his gaze. “Please, k-kiss me.” With all of your heart and soul, you expect, hope, want him to lean down and grant your wish, but he simply gives you a soft smile.
“Not like this, my love.”
Kazuha hopes you don’t get him wrong – he wants to kiss you, desperately. He has wanted, for months, nothing more than to feel the sensation of your undoubtedly soft lips against yours, moving in flawless synchronization and doing nothing to quell the desire in his heart, but rather, fuel it.
“P-Please,” you stutter again, with more urgency this time. Somewhere in the back of your frazzled mind, you know he’s right; it would be wrong of him to take advantage of your inebriated state. But you want it, want him. You’ve always considered yourself a rather content person, accepting of what you had and never chasing after more, but for him, you’d keep running for the rest of your life.
Slowly, torturously, Kazuha leans down, and you close your eyes in anticipation – only to feel his lips on your forehead. You open your eyes to see that he has already drawn his face away from yours, one of his hands bringing your head forward against his chest once more.
Kazuha smooths the distressed crinkle that forms between your brows as you realize that he won’t be kissing you tonight. “Don’t worry. There won’t be a need to ask again once you’ve recovered.” His lips curl into a rather cheeky, boyish grin. Your face heats up and your stomach twists into a knot – not the anxious, unpleasant kind, but one of deep yearning.
“Stay w-with me, p-please.” You whisper this as a prayer to Celestia, to him, before you let yourself finally succumb to the wine-indueced sleepiness that had been threatening to overtake you for far too long. As Kazuha rubs soothing circles along your back to ease you into a deep sleep, you feel what you’ve experienced with him and him only – safe, cared for, cherished.
-
The next morning, you wake up to the squawking of seagulls as well as the crash of the morning tide against the wooden planks of the Alcor. Warm sunlight is already filtering in through a thin layer of clouds, accompanied by a gentle breeze that sweeps through the sails. A pounding headache has settled in your temples, along with an incredibly unpleasant parched feeling in your throat.
The memories of last night come flooding back much faster than you would’ve liked, hitting you all at once and making you outwardly recoil at how you had – oh, my, Kazuha is –
You realize just then you’re still in his arms, his haori wrapped around the two of you for warmth. He’s fast asleep, his snoring quiet and rhythmic.
It was all real.
The gasp that you let out immediately awakens Kazuha; he’s always been a light sleeper. His scarlet eyes snap open abruptly, instinctively scanning the premises for danger before focusing on you. “Are you feeling alright?”
Your face is burning with embarrassment and you’re tripping over your words, feeling guilty for waking him up and trying to ask him to go back to sleep. After a few moments of nonsensical babbling, all you can say is, “The rice buns – “ You never forget to finish your sentence, as Kazuha silences you by placing one of his hands – large, rough and calloused from years of combat yet still so gentle – on your cheek, thumb swiping across your lips. A silent request.
You hardly have time to nod before he pulls you against him in one fluid motion, finally allowing his lips to clash with yours. He kisses you long and deep, with passion and longing lacing every small movement of his mouth against yours. If you had any worries about his feelings not being as intense as your own, they were promptly quashed by the way he greedily swallowed every breath, every noise that threatened to leave you.
When he finally pulls away, you feel like your heart is about to leap from your chest and fly far, far away. Kazuha is smiling, looking at you with something that can only be described as pure, unadulterated adoration burning in his scarlet gaze.
This alone was a declaration. Calm yet firm, and leaving absolutely no room for doubt – that he loves you.
